Viewing file location in Windows explorer from within organizer. PE 10

Does anyone know how to view a cataloged file location WITHIN organizer Elements 10 by where the orgainzer opens up the file location in Windows Explorer (Not windows IE Explorer browser). I know you can see the file path in the properties pane but I swear some how I clicked on a file once and Explorer opened up in organizer 10 showing the location in the file tree on the hard disk. I am using Widows 7 Home preminum with all updates. Am I crazy? Thanks.

If you want to see the folder tree click the display button (near top right of Organizer) and switch to Folder Location View.

I am using BLOB store as SECUREFILE and everything is working perfect when called from .NET.
Now requirement is create a Form (Oracle Form Developer 10g) running under EBS 12i. This Form will allow the user to select a file (from local or network drive) and store in the database.
I am not sure how to popup Windows Explorer for user to select file in EBS envirnoment.
Only help I am looking for is "how can I popup windows explorer from EBS for user to select file and send as blob"

          page. I am not getting the RealPath from a JSP page using getRealPath(request.getServletpath()).
          The same code is working if the jsp placd under defaultwebApp directory and not
          working if i create a war and deploy the same.
          I am using weblogic server 7.0 trail version.I am setting the context path also.
          Can any help me in this regard.

Suddenly unable to view files on iPhone through Explorer?

I've had the iphone since it first came out and have always been able to browse the files on the iPhone directly, using windows explorer. Both XP and Vista 64 it showed iPhone as an additional drive that is browsable.
Now it shows up nowhere. Is there something Apple has changed that is causing this?
I need to get a video off the iphone onto my computer. All the options to do this from the iphone forceably truncate it, or "compress" its quality. I want the original file, untouched. How do I get it now?

Well yes. About 40 photos and some videos that I have taken with the phone. After all, thats why they put a camera on the phone in the first place - i cant imagine they have no automated method for exporting the photos?

Valid question. But I plugged this phone into two other computers that don't even have itunes on them, and neither of them are showing this phone in the windows explorer screen. It absolutely did used to appear just like your screen cap showing the little iphone icon, on my main computer. It simply stopped working on my main computer, and does not work on the two other computers. This is why I assumed Apple did something in one of the iphone updates.
Something is definitely different. I used to plug the phone into the USB and within 2 seconds it would identify the phone as a digital camera. I'd even get a windows popup asking me if I want to browse the files, or import to photoshop, etc. None of that happens now.
All it does is this: in the bottom right corner, a little white rectangular icon appears with a green bubble that bounces around, while it says "installing device driver software". This message bubble slowly fades and disappears. The green bubble continues to bounce around the icon. When I double click the icon i get a poup in the bottom right corner of my monitor saying : "Digital Still Camera" and "Searching for preconfigured driver folders". After about 1 minute, a second gray icon appears next to the first icon. It looks like a computer tower or something. It has a green checkmark circle on it. The phone then vibrates twice as if its just connecting to the computer for the first time. The 2nd icon disappears, while the first remains, with the green circle bouncing all around it. This repeats and repeats with no progress made.
Does it appear as an 'imaging device' in device manager, or as an autoplay device? Anything listed under 'other devices'?
Device manager shows a "Digital Still Camera"
Under Imaging Devices I just have my standard "sony Visual Communication Camera", nothing else
There is nothing under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers"
I dont have an "Other Devices" in my device manager list.

Maximize window state from within portlet faces hyperlink?

Does anyone know how to implement/force window state from a hyperlink? I want to maximize the portlet window when any hyperlink is clicked from within the default view mode. The javax portlet api tags allow you to set this attribute like <portlet:actionURL windowState="maximized"/>. Is there a similar way to do this from within Creator's use of jsf? Or, am I going to have to do this within the class files? Thanks much

Why does my Acrobat Pro 9 PDF print driver either lock up or become confused as to where it should store a file when printing a document from within the Firefox browser?

I use Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.4.5 for creating .pdf files on a Windows XP SP3 platform. Firefox 6.0.2 is my browser of choice. This question only applies to the .pdf printing process. All other printer drivers work fine with this version of Firefox.
In attempt to save paper, I choose to print most documents in an electronic .pdf format using the PDF print driver and save them to my USB drive. Before upgrading my Firefox version to 6.0.2 this process seemed to work fine but after upgrading the .pdf print process seems to be experiencing problems. This particular printing process will cause Firefox to lock up when the distiller tries to print the file to what I believe is a temporary folder under the Adobe folder. When it does this I am sometimes able to force it to complete the process but frequently it will only produce a log not a .pdf file. On other occasions the distiller will just lock up mid print without producing any kind of error message. In both cases I will frequently have to use Windows Task Manager to break out of the process which then shuts down the Firefox browser. I don't seem to have any problems when I use Internet Explorer to perform the same function. As far as I am aware I am running the most current drivers as Adobe automatically pushes down updates to me as they become available. Any ideas how I can overcome this issue or is it inherent to the new version of Firefox?

The PDF file itself does not control the "print as image" preference, which should always be turned OFF unless there's a specific need to rasterize the entire page, and is turned off by default in all Acrobat and Adobe Reader installations.
What's the filetype for the ultralight font and what export setting* are you using in ID? If you're exporting to earlier than PDF1.7, OpenType fonts will be converted and may experience some small changes in shape if their hint definitions aren't done right.
*As a side note, bear in mind that InDesign does not use any part of Acrobat when exporting PDFs, so questions specific to that stage in the process should be posted to the InDesign forums.

Calling Windows Explorer from Oracle Forms

Is it possible in Forms to call Windows Explorer (as if pressing the windows key + E) to a certain map when you press a button? and then return the path and filename to forms again?

I have just received some more feedback and it seems they just want some kind of openFileDialog where you can select a file and then store it in a text field. (in contradiction to just opening windows explorer).
We cannot upgrade to Forms 10g because the program is only just converted to forms 6.0. it will take years to convert it to another version since the program is this large.

IDOC to File Port on Windows Server from Unix SAP System

I want to use an IDOC to create a text file on a Windows server. The SAP system runs on Unix. I have no problem creating the text file on the same Unix server running the SAP instance but I can not figure out how to write the file to a share or UNC path on a Windows server. I tried to create a logical file path using transaction FILE and then create a logical port in WE21. The IDOC failed because it is still looking on the Unix server to write the file. Any ideas from the community would be greatly appreciated.

Hmmm, there are probably lots of ways to skin this cat.
To make the process asynchronous you probably want to be along the lines of either updating a table or placing a file on the Windows machine, and then having a database process or Windows program to watch for the file or database table entry and triggering your bat file when it appears.

I was working in Illustrator for a few hours this morning and was just about to save when the Program "quit running". Is there an temporary file created automatically? Where might this be located in Windows 7?

Unlike other programmes (e.g. InDesign) Illustrator currently doesn't have that kind of automatic backup / file recovery capability.
It has been requested many times.

Viewing Ipod Video thru Windows Explorer

Hi I seem to be able to do everything with the Ipod except use it as a mass storage device. I can view in iTunes etc but can't see it as a storage device in Window Explorer or My Computer.
However when I check device manager it recognises it as a storage volume. Any ideas?

Hi I managed to get this all going by changing the drive letter in the computer disk manager and then by restarting the computer with the IPOD attached to the USB port. For good measure I also pulled out all other USB connection on the laptop. So one of the three works....

Jar file - trying to load audio from within it

I am writing a Game using NetBeans. All works fine when run from within NetBeans, but problems occur when run from a JAR executable.
The Audio files are not loading. I had a Similar problem with the Images, but resolved it with getResources() etc.

new FileInputStream(filename))That only works for files. Resources in JARs are not files. You should always (when possible) use getClass().getResourceAsStream() to open streams on resources, loading them from the classpath -- regardless of whether your app is a bunch of loose files or in a JAR.
