Same problem. Tried reinstalling Pages. Didn't help. The behavior is like I am typing with a white font on a white background, but I am not.

How many pages can be open in one single tab before I lose the first page of the tab?

I use a tab for weather info on many places and I have lost the first few ones if I put too many places. Example: First page is Vancouver, last New York, and in the middle many places. How much pages is it safe to put in a single tab without losing ANY places from the beginning of the tab? EXTREMELY irritating to lose ones as I have to put all the places again (of course in fewer numbers)!
PS.Mozilla: If I shut down Firefox and I'm in the end of the tab containing the previous weather pages, I only get around 10 or so places backwards and lose all others, this SHOULD CHANGE! I want to have at least 30 places backwards there when I come back! Weather is not the only thing where people want tab-pages to be saved and safely there for the next session. This has bothered me for a year, please change this!

I'm not totally sure how many pages Firefox can remember. Its a lot though. If you want to view them, and count them if you want, click the back icon and hold it and a list will come up of recent web pages. I like your change idea though.

Need to know how many pages contain color

Is there any way of determining from the PDF file how many pages contain color and how many are just black and white?
I need to be able to charge users for use of the more expensive color laser printer, and tell the relative cost of printing in black only.
If there is not a simple way, eg something in each page header, then how many different things would I need to scan for within the PDF file?
Has anyone else had this problem, and does anyone have any utilty software to help do this?

Since this is the PDFLanguage forum, I'll answer by explain a bit about PDF...
In PDF, there are 11 different ways to represent a color. For example, "Black" could be represented in Gray (1.0), RGB ([0 0 0]), CMYK([0 0 0 1]), etc. Which one(s) of those are "black and white", in your definition?
Therefore, the first thing you need to do is understand how color works in PDF. Second, you need to understand how those varying colorspaces translate to your printer.
THEN you can look around at software solutions that will help you solve your needs.

Finding query access frequency or how many times a query has been executed?

Dear Experts
I need to find the total number of access frequency of individual queries that are requested by the users say at a particular time.
Say there are 20 distinct queries requested in the time difference of 3 hours. All of the 20 queries or some of the queries may be requested for more than 2/3 times at that time by other users. By the way say query Q1 is requested 5 times at that so its query access frequency or how many times this query is executed is 5.
From where and how can I can find this counting of query access frequency or how many times a query has been executed at particular time or a session?
Normally we know the there SQL history dynamic performance views or if it can be possible to query the Shared pool library cache for SQL area it may be possible to find the total number of execution time for a query. But how to find that if anyone knows, please help me about this.

That's one of the stats reported by statspack - assuming that your query does sufficient work to meet the thresholds for the standard report. Executions is of course one of the columns of v$sql so you might just wish to sample that yourself. Finally if you are on 11g and the sql you are interested is relatively low resource intensive and you are licensed for AWR then you can use the slightly madly named "colored sql" feature that ensures that a specific statement will always be sampled for AWR.

How to keep track of how many times a link has been clicked or accessed? Do I need to use database for this?

Proably something like this can work,
1> Have a servlet/bean invoked when the link is linked
2> have a static variable in that servlet/bean wich gets incremented before the control is passed to another desired page..
The problem with this approach is that care has to be taken that the servlet/bean is not re-instalised, in case of which the static variable will also be instalised and the data would be lost.
The best thing is to store the count in the database.

Is there a way to find how many pages have been printed?
I'd like to track page yield, which so far has been way below even totaly miserable.

How is the printer connected? If a network connection then you can use the printer's built in web server by entering the IP address in your browser, then click on "Usage report" on the left. If you are connected by USB you could print a report page from the front panel as follows: Setup, Print report, OK, Print Status Report, OK. Items 13 and 14 will have page usage information.

Motörhead's Kiss of Death Digital Booklet. How Many Pages?

I hope someone out there knows the answer to this question.
I downloaded this album off the UK store on release.
The included booklet consists of two pages, cover and back with little or no information.
Has anyone else got this album?
If so how many pages does your booklet have?
Normally I expect lyrics, pictures, artwork, credits e.t.c.
This one is dreadful, not a patch on the retail version.

There's a sticky at the top of this forum with some useful information which might solve your problem.
You have to close iTunes, open QuickTime system prefs, go to "advanced", and check "play flash".
At least, that solved my booklet problem.

How many pages is too many

When merging files is there a limit to how many pages can be sucessfully merged together to send to a printer?
Is there a way to further compress 10,000 pages to ensure printability?

PDF files support a vast number of pages in terms of the file structure (it depends on how complex each page is, but you can easily have over a million pages in a single file). The issue is one of memory management - Acrobat is a 32-bit application so it will run very slowly if the files are extremely large, and there's a practical limit on the size of the printer spool (and of course the paper tray!).

Show how many apps a developer has in Itunes

In Itunes 10, I was able to see how many apps a developer has in Appstore, it showed a number. Is there a way to see that number in Itunes 11?

If you are using iTunes 11 (check by clicking in the menu bar while in the application iTunes > About iTunes), then you can click (again in the menubar) View > Show Status Bar or by pressing "Command /" (Command key and forward slash. This will then display the size of your playlist, how long it will take to play etc at the bottom of the iTunes window.

Counting how many times my app has been opened

I want to be able to count how many times a user has opened my application, and so every time the application launches, this number is added by one.
Does anyone know how I store a long-time variable like this that will still need to be available across different runs of the application? I imagine this value would be stored in the application's preference file in Library, but I don't know how to do this.
Can any of you please lend me some advice/code to achieve this (I am using Objective-C)?

Hi.
It has been a while - but I finally got around to slapping some code together. I have successfully created and retrieved the value from the preference file, but for some reason, adding 1 to my value each run is not working. It only adds by one after each BUILD. So I have to rebuild it every time I want it to increment. See my code below;

I can't seem to stop anything wrong, but then again it is late.

The only people who can possibly assist you with this is Apple Customer Relations, call your local Apple contact number and ask for Customer Relations then explain your situation clearly and politely (be firm but don't rant).
You might want to investiage what the local laws are regarding defective goods and 'fit for use' definitions on warranties etc. Consumer Protection can be a useful tool to use or bargain with if needed ...

How many times a program has been run?

Is there a transaction or table or something that tracks how many times a program has been run? The number of times the program has been run plus using the programs' attributes for last changed would help me a lot. We need this for an archiving study to determine of the client has set up the configuration correctly since they went live and have been executing the correct programs. Thanks and mucho rewards if someone has an answer. FYI - I have done a forum search and could find nothing on this topic. I have looked at the tables TADIR and no help, as well as transaction STAT.

I know ST03N transaction can be used extensively to determine how the programs were executed or even to know who all are using a particular transaction...
I tried to find if we can find the number of executions of a program through this transaction, I could not find myself...
try if you can find it through this tcode.
