Viewing in Browser issues

Elements on my home page are moving in front of my header (Header is pinned on the top in my master page) when I view it in a browser. How do I stop this from happening?

No. I gave you more information in the reply section of my original post as follows along with a screen shot:
The Home page is a site I am designing in Muse. The browser is Safari. I am previewing the page in Safari and I see that the elements on the Home page below the Header are moving to the layer above the Header that is on the Master page. I am wondering if I set something up wrong on the Home page or the Master page. I’m learning Adobe Muse and am not sure what I did wrong.
I have added another screen shot that may show my problem better. It is the elements from the home page moving above the elements from the Master Page (Header is on the Master Page) Also, viewable in the second image, the footer elements stay put when the browser window is made smaller whereas the header moves out of view as the browser is made smaller. I thought that, if I stretched the elements and had them “attach” to the sides of the page, that they would downsize with the browser and never go out of view. Either I misunderstood or did something wrong.

I am having this exact same issue, only on an ASP.NET page. I can print the report, but it does not display at all.

Unable to see EXCEL output for xml report--browser issues?

hi i have created and registered an xml publisher report.
i want to see the out put in Excel format.When i run the report i get junk data as output.
is there any profile setting or viewer profiles that i need to change to view the output in excel.
i can see excel output on standalone version when i load the data into template and look for the excel output.
i cant see the same when i run the program through apps.
Can any one help me regarding this.

How to hide "View in Browser" and "Edit in Browser" from ECB injected by Office Web Apps Feature

Hi,
i am currently using custom_AddDocLibMenuItems to implement a custom ECB menu for my document library. I need to activate Office Web Apps. My custom_AddDocLibMenuItems has two items
-> custom dialog
-> open in office web apps
After activating the Office Web Apps Feature at the SiteCollection Level, this Feature "injects" in my custom menu the following
additional menu items:
-> View in Browser
-> Edit in Browser
Its curious to see that, cause implementing the js function custom_AddDocLibMenuItems with
return true should be the way to impolement a custom ECB menu without having other features/solutions injecting things in this menu!? Or did i misunderstood something here?
My question is: How can i prevent this ...
a) without deactivating the Office Web Apps Feature
b) without modifying the core.js
I hope someone can help!

Images not showing in viewer and browser

I've been using Apreture 2.1.1 without any problems until yesterday. Even though all my projects are in tact, I can no longer see the images in the Aperture viewer and browser. I really don't know how this happened. To rectify the problem I did the following:
1. Verified and repaired the Disk using Disk Utility
2. Logged in in Safe mode and did the above
3. Uninstalled Aperture, removed all reference files and re-installed
4. Opened the Library and photos are all intact.
5. Uninstalled Aperture and re-installed the 2.0 version
I did all the above but still have the same issue. Just can't figure out what is wrong here.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

did you dump the preferences and appropriate other files? prior to the reinstall? otherwise if any of those files are bad you'll be installing aperture with the same possibly corrupt files.
your problem sounds like a hard drive or cable issue, have you swapped out cables?
what cable are you using? eSATA? FW800?

Has anyone experienced web browser issues at display time? We are on IE7. We are now using the internal ITS. Our carriage returns are totally being ignored by the browser. Thus, we have a dropdown box to pick one of the businesses multiple partners, and because the HTML is not formatted correctly in the browser, the dropdown doesn't work, and we get an "array not created" error messsage in IE7.
I know that there are options in the IE 7 browser under the menu item "view". I've tried changing these to some different Unicode settings, but without luck.
Has anybody some experience with this issue?

this might be problem with Support package, by default Sap neweaver 2004s application comes with SP6, u can upgrade to higher SP to solve these type of problems.patch your system up to SP12 or SP13 and try.

Change View in Browser Setting

I have packaged Reader 10 that we deployed to our users with it set to view PDFs in Reader. There is a group of people in this one department now that want it set to view in browser. I tried setting it in the registry to integrate in the browser which works fine for exisiting users. The problem is when a new user logins to a machine those settings are ignored and it defaults to view in Reader and not browser.
Is there any way I can change this? My only solution so far is to create a new package with it set to view in Browser and to maintain 2 packages...

I have an website and a forum ( http://www.13tribos.com.br/forum ) with some pdf files for download. There are some people that are having trouble because the configuration in their browers that opens the documento itself with adobe plugin. Why I can solve tris issue because people needs to download the pdf files to read later ? I´m wondering in compress file, but is not a good solution. Is an another option to the pdf that lets bypass open and save the file ?

Based on your issue, first of all, I suggest you could try to save the web page you created and then right click your solution or web project->build your solution/project and then check this issue again.
You could also try to use the Ctrl+Shift+W to check if you could view your web page in the browser.
Generally, I know that when we choose the "view in browser" option by right-click a .aspx web page. So to check if this issue is related to the VS IDE or the specified project, I suggest you could try to create a simple ASP.NET project and
the add a .aspx file, then check if you can see the "view in browser" option by right-click the .aspx web page.
(1) If you still could not see the "view in browser" option, I suggest you could try to reset the VS setting file by clicking the TOOLS->Import and Export Settings... check this issue again.
If it sill could not help you, maybe you will need to repair or re-install the VS IDE check this issue.
(2) If you could see the "view in browser" option, I assume that the issue maybe related to your code for your web page. So please you ask this issue directly to the ASP.NET forum:http://forums.asp.net/ you

Gif file won't animate in Muse's preview mode or in Muse's view in browser mode

Created a gif file with Photoshop that's 7.5MB in size. Placed the gif file on a Muse page. But, the gif won't animate in Muse's preview mode or when Muse sends the page to be viewed in browser mode. I'm using a Mac running OS X 10.9.2 and I'm a creative cloud member using Muse. Any solutions?

Step one to enable the community to help debug what you're encountering would be to provide the URL for the page where the GIF is being used. My first guess would be there are effects applied to the image (i.e. inner glow, bevel, etc.) that require Muse to re-encode the image and Muse does not support encoding animated .gif. It only supports passing animated .gif files through unchanged. (And to get an image to pass through unchanged it needs to have no effects that require rasterization applied in Muse.)
Given you've stated the GIF file is 7.5Mb I have to question your choice of .gif. At 7.5Mb this single file will take ~8 seconds to download on the average US broadband connection and will be much slower for many broadband users and most cellular users. GIF is a reasonable choice for very small short animations used sparingly, but is seldom (if ever) a good choice for larger or longer animations. Better choices for those are to use a video or a tool like Edge Animate to create a HTML5/CSS3 animation. The end result will be vastly more user friendly in terms of page load performance.
A huge percentage of first time visitors to a webpage will cancel the page load rather than waiting 8+ seconds for the page load to complete.

Why do I get an error when clicking on "view in browser" in my newsletter?

Using a Mac, Firefox does not allow me to use the vertical scroll bar real-time in Godaddy webmail. It lags and jumps. Godaddy says it is a browser issue. Does not happen in Safari with Mac OS 10.4.11 or on PC w/windows vista.

The problem is not my server (Comcast) as it does not happen on Safari when trying different websites as well as Godaddy.com or my Godaddy webmail. The problem is only when using my Mac OS X 10.4.11 (not my Windows Vista PC) in Firefox. I only began noticing this recently. Godaddy says this is a browser issue with my Mac as they cannot replicate it.

Nokia 500 and Belle Refresh: browser issues.

Greetings.
The Belle Refresh was indeed a welcome refresh for this low-to-midrange phone. However, there is a serious issue with the browser.
With the update to Qt 4.8, you inherited QtWebKit, an amazing browser I know very well. In a desktop, it's fast, although it eats more memory than Firefox. However, in a cell phone like the 500, with limited amounts of RAM, this browser freezes the phone, due to the lack of memory. I'm also sure this browser can and will break phones with more memory and Belle FPx, since I've made QtWebKit use more than 1 GB of RAM in a computer running KDE.
There is a way to avoid this, called "user agent". Opera Mobile avoids this scenario by telling pages through user agent "hey, don't be hard on me, I'm browsing this from a cell phone", and pages adjust themselves to that scenario. However, you didn't tweak the user agent in your browser.
If you add no user agent tweaking, full HTML5 support, Flash Lite support (the much higher specced iPhone 4S doesn't support Flash), and low memory, you get a nightmare scenario.
1. The webpages send their complete, full featured DESKTOP versions to my Nokia 500.
2. QtWebKit supports everything, so, it makes a faithful attempt to properly render the page, even with Flash apps.
3. Nokia 500 has only 70-80 MB of RAM free for apps to use.
4. Boom.
Can you release a hotfix for Belle Refresh, changing the user agent of Nokia Browser to something that can trigger the mobile version of web pages? In that scenario, QtWebKit will eat much less memory and everyone will be happy. And please, can you do this for everyone using Belle Refresh?

I can confirm serious browser issues with the Belle refresh on a C6-01 device. The crash is so severe that only taking out the battery helps. It typically occurs when scrolling larger, feature-rich (and image-rich) webpages, so far I've seen this only on mobile connections (Edge, Umts), but that may be due to lack of testing with WLAN. (Where I've got WLAN I've usually a more powerful device as well..

IWeb pages reverting to older version- not a browser issue, deleting prefs/caches no help

Hi everyone, forgive me if this is a newb question but I've scoured the internet for answers and all of them I've already tried with no luck. I'm using iWeb and encountering a problem that has me completely stumped. I'm trying to publish changes to my site, (I do not use mobileme, I publish to disk and upload files via Fetch) and for some reason something is changing my html files when I try to upload them. The html files are correct on my hard drive when I publish them, and yet when I upload them, they revert to the older version. This is not a browser issue, as I've cleared my cache, refreshed and tried using Safari, Firefox and Chrome with no luck. I've also tried 're-setting' iWeb by deleting iWeb preferences/cache, and tried moving the domain file from application support, creating a new website, deleting it and then re-loading the old site. Nothing, still the old site. It's new in iWeb, new when I open the html files on my drive, and old as soon as I upload.
I seem to remember having this problem before, and what I found was iWeb's cache kept replacing my new pages with the old ones every time I wanted to upload them. 'Re-setting' iWeb did the trick then, but it's not doing it now. Any ideas on what is going on? It's a little disconcerting seeing a file correct on the disk and then change itself, while uploading, into an incorrect version.

If you make changes to a page there are files in the Scripts folder that get updated and must be uploaded also. Depending on what you're using to up load the files it can be setup to upload just those new or modified files.
Cyberduck is a free FTP client that works very well and if used in conjunction with this tutorial will upload only those new or modified files: #2 - Uploading only those new or newly edited and published files when using a 3rd party FTP client

Font in Design View different from font in Live View and browser preview

My external style sheet has the body set for a sans-serif font and there is nothing to contradict it in the HTML documents. But while I get sans-serif in the Design View (as you would expect), I get a serif font in Live View and Browser Preview, not to mention on the Web itself.
How is this possible (and what should I do about it)?

Murray and David: it worked! It is a rare and joyous experience to have a straightforward solution to the sorts of problems I come up with (including other realms). But I have to say that with HTML and CSS (and hence with Dreamweaver), solutions to difficulties have seemed within easier reach than in other parts of the computer world.
