Viewing IP cameras on SPA525g

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience viewing non Cisco cameras on a SPA525g. I have a customer that is purchasing a UC560 and some Axis cameras and would like to view a camera on his desk phone. I have done this before with a Cisco PVC2300 camera but I have never with a non Cisco camera. Any advise would be appreciated.

Axis will use either the H.264, MJPEG as their Codec/Containers for the video streams, this will be to ensure they are ONVIF compliant, however the Cisco SPA phone isn't designed for that
It is highly unlikely it would work as the SPA-525 series phone will only know how to talk to the PVC cameras and will be able to negotiate the transport stream.
You would be better of having the client connect to them using their iPAD/iPhone/ANDROID tablet which would be more reliable and secure anyway.

Is there a way to view all cameras in the timeline at once without creating a multicam sequence? Is there some kind of window I can open where they will show up? I am scrubbing a timeline and I would like to see all the cameras at once.

The multicam monitor only shows multiple clips at once when they are part of a mutlicam sequence. is there some reason you don't want to use them inside a multicam sequence for previewing?
Here is a possible workaround, if your workflow circumstances will permit it:
Apply a pip preset effect to each clip in the timeline. Use UL, UR, LL, LR presets and up to four video tracks will display at once. If you need to see more than that, you'll need to tweak their position parameters by hand. When you're done previewing them all at once you just need to delete their effects from the Effects Controls panel.
I know it's not that neat or quick, but it will let you see everything at once in the program monitor.

Deleted photo and thumbnail still shows up in album view and camera roll

Hi, whenever i delete a photo on either my ipad(2) or iphone(4s), the thumbnail of the deleted photo still shows up in the album view and camera roll.
Also, a picture that i deleted months ago (have saved other photos since then, and replaced the thumbnail) from my ipad randomly showed up in the album view and camera roll??
I have IOS 5.0.1 installed on both iphone(4s) and ipad(2).
Is this a software glitch or??

Sounds like a damaged database fie:
Try these in order - from best option on down...
1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
2. Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 6* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Rolls and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Roll Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.

ROI in real view from camera

Is a possibility to create a rectangle on live view from camera and set it to ROI ?? ( i need the break in program, when i select the rectangle the program should be continiued) . I used select rectangle or IMAQ construct ROI but both of them take a picture. I need to do this on live view .

Are you displaying the image in an Image Display Control? If so, you can display ROI tools (Right click on the control, then select Visible Items>>ROI Tools>>Visible).
You can then select a tool and draw an ROI in the display control that shows live image.
To access the ROI from the diagram, right click on the indicator of the image display control. Select Create>>Property Node>>ROI.

I am trying to diplay the capture of a camera that I have on
my video capture card locally. I can't see the cameras when I try
to add the camera. I have a USB camera that works without problems.
However, when I use the same code and try to connect to my video
capture code, the cameras aren't available.
Does anyone know a video capture card that works with Flash
8? I would prefer a VCC that can support more than one camera. I am
trying to view the cameras locally is all. Nothing fancy!

I don't know this app, but I did look it up in the iTunes Store, thinking I would suggest you could visit the developer's (vendor's) site and seek assistance there.
But when I found the app and went to the vendor's site, I found garbage (nothing useful).
Oh well.

View CCTV Cameras through Airport Express?

I am quite perplexed by this situation.
My system is a Cox Modem connected to > an Airport Extreme (connected to my Mac) > and a new Airport Express (wireless connection) that extends my wifi.
My generic DVR (with CCTV cameras) is connected > to the Airport Express by wire through the LAN Ethernet port. I'd like to view the cameras over the Internet.
There are several moving parts that I have been tinkering with such as open ports, dynamic IP addresses, and other things. It seems as though I have read so much (and some of it old) that I have scrambled my brains trying to distill this into a simple task. All the hardware is the latest generation.
I am most grateful for any suggestions.

If you could, can you connect the DVR to the Airport Extreme via ethernet, either by moving it or a long CatV cable. The net question is, your DVR, is it on the same IP range as your rest of the network? Is it set to DHCP or have you set it to a Static IP address? Personally, once you know that you can talk to the DVR over your network, I'd set the DVR to a Static IP address and reserve the address in the Airport (under settings).
If you know the IP address of the DVR can you ping the DVR? If using a Mac and using Mavericks then try this to find Network Utility (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5897). I wouldn't mess about with opening ports until you can see the DVR from your internal network. Once you have it as you like then I'd go and setup your port forwarding.
Personally as well, depend on the capacity of the DVR and cameras, I wouldn't recommend streaming your DVR using the Airport Express to your Airport Extreme. Just means your wireless is clogged up constantly streaming heavy load of video, which may mean your other wireless devices get slowed down as to accessing the internet...

Not able to view SETTINGS,CAMERA tiles in my Windows 8.1 pro

I'm using Windows 8.1 Pro, for the past few months am facing an issue where i couldn't view my SETTINGS & CAMERA tiles in START Menu or APPS but i could find the installation directory of CAMERA available in drive when i try to execute EXE i couldn't
see no response.But i hope i done a big mistake by deleting two folders in my C drive namely

then i started facing the mentioned problem from that moment and those tiles disappeared, i was able to restore those folder but no luck It was no more. Please could you help me over it !!!!

Run this Apps troubleshooter and see if it make any difference, if doesn't work, then
Please run DISM（with admin）command， and check if it can help you to fix the missing\corrupted files
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
If you have a restore point, you can also restore your PC to a previous state which the computer is working fine.
Regarding to the deleted file, could you please paste the full path of the files here so we can better know what the file is?

HT3775 bought Bushnell trail cam: worked,got 2nd cam: worked. Got 3rd cam which needed DIV X,so downloaded, now can't view 1st 2 cams. msg " required codec is not available" ***? worked for 2 years till downloaded DIV X now can't view old cams. Suggestion

I bought a Bushnell trail cam. Worked well, each video presented on the screen with the opening frame of the 10 second video. I could tell at a glance what the video was.( I have to guess it used quicktime ). I bought a second cam, same results as first. I bought a 3rd cam ,( all bushnell ), which required me to download " DIV X ", which I did. Now, I can no longer view the first frame of the 10 sec video, it just has an icon that says "AVI XXX" ( XXXbeing the number of the video ). I now have to click the icon, go to "Action" drop down "open with" and select DIV X , for each "anonymous" video, ( as I cant see what they are any more , just a number). Furthermore, I can no longer view my old videos. A message shows up saying " a required codec is not available" ***????
The 2 original cams worked for 2 years with no problem, but since downloading DIV X I cant play the older ones. I should point out that even if I select a (now) anonymous video, go to " Action", drop down "open with" and manually select quicktime, the message still shows up about the codec.
Suggestions??

3D Picture Control Orthographic View zoom - Camera Set up?

I am trying to display two 3D picture controls. One displays some objects in 3D (Auto Projection: Perspective, Camera Controller: Spherical). This 3D image works great and I am having no problems with it. The other Picture Contol is meant to simulate a 2D image of the 3D object, essentially a Plan View. To do this I made a 3D picture control with a Orthographic view. I set the camera to view from above (z-axis) and set the target to be positive y-axis.
I have attached an example vi (labview 2013 SP1) that creates some simple 3D objects and displays them in Perspective and Orthographic using the same Camera Position. On initial start, the Orthographic image is zoomed in heavily. If I manually zoom it (Hold Shift button and mouse up or down), then the Orthographic image will set itself to the correct Camera position. This is essentially the solution to my problem, but I can't assume the user will have the ability to manually zoom the image. So I need to set it programmatically.
If you manual adjust the view on either screen (rotate and zoom), then click the Set Camera button, both images will give a plan view, but only the Perspective Image will be at the correct camera zoom or distance. The Orthographic stays at the last zoom distance.
Is there any way to set the Camera distance for Orthographic projection programmatically? I have tried starting with the 3D picture control as perspective, set the camera distance and then changing it to orthographic, but this still results in a zoomed orthographic image. From the reading I have done, I think I am trying to the impossible. Does any one have another suggestion to get the same result. I have previously used the 2D picture functions to generate the image but found that method inefficient.
And suggestions would be great.

Took me while to work it out, but I might have found something that could help us with the orthographic projection.
Sometime back someone posted a way to collect the current Camera data. Sorry I lost the source. But here is my version as a Get3DCameraPosition.vi using the ModelViewMatrix.
Unfortunatly this doesn't return the current Target and so a bit of guessing in the right Direction is necessary.
I'm impressed you found a way to make the Shift-Drag Zoom-movement possible on the orthographic window.
It seems a whole thread at http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/3D-Picture-Control-Doesn-t-Zoom-in-Orthographic-Mode/td-p/1544460/page/2 wasn't able to find that out.
In the meantime I've found a way using the ProjectionMatrix to create a zoom-effect which I build into your demo using the mouse wheel.
All in all I've tried to translate camera movements from the perspective window in the ortho - assuming this is what you were after?!
Again the missing target information doesn't make it quite right.

Curve 8900 won't view surveilence cameras correctly

I am a locksmith with Carl's Lock Shop in Co. Spgs, CO.
We view a particular web site with our shop cameras in order to sell our services...

You will automatically be re-directed to thier mobile site...
should say "mobile access" or "mobile viewer" at the top...
Enter user name ppp and password pp then click next...
Choose either rover1 camera or pan and tilt (camera 2 is is disabled)...
Now the image, if you have any other Black Berry other than a Curve 8900, will update every few seconds with still pics...(no Blank screen between pics)
If your un-fortunate enough to have been suckered into buying a Curve 8900 you will get one image for about five seconds then instead of refreshing it just goes to blank screen...(if it does refresh it will just blink a half secord glimpse of the pic every thirty seconds or so)
T-Mobile Black Berry/ PDA support is no help at all...(have tried every setting in the phone and some settings only an **bleep** would attempt)
Have been connected with Black Berry support to no avail also...(if 877-255-2377 case # 7151298 was a legit deal( they seemed kinda dumb)
If you let the screen saver come on it will bring up a permanent pic that will not refresh...(Same thing as turning off java script in browser config)
It's painfully obvious to even a moron like myself that this new Black Berry has a different Java scpript or operating system that is not compatible with this particular 3rd party web site, that neither T-Mobile nor Black Berry are responsible for...Duh
I don't need them to tell me that...
I figured that out before I called them and spent hours trying to fix the un-fixable...
Dumb as I am, I know when I have bought a "Pig-In-A-Poke".
Oh Yeah the Streaming video on this piece of junk skips and locks up unless your on Wi-Fi so don't believe the "Hype" about how good it plays...
"IF" anybody has any ideas on what will fix this thing...

How to view my camera from cell phone

Currently I have 2 Cisco/Linksys and 1 Chinese no name, wireless ip cams
1) WVC54GCA
2) WVC210
3) NT-2604 WGIP
With WVC54GCA , I can easily watch my camera when I'm abroad from my cell phone by typing the following :

With the NT-2604 WGIP :
rtsp://XX.XXX.XX.XX:port_no/mpeg4cif
However I could not manage to get the camera view of the WVC210 on my cell phone. Can somebody please tell me what exatly I should type pon my phpnes video player browser according to above examples.

How to view multiple cameras on a MacBook

I'm trying to find a way to view images from 2 or 3 digital camcorders or even webcams on the desktop of my MacBook, then share that desktop live online with music students so they can see closeups of my hands, instrument, etc. Is there a way to do that
I may do desktop sharing through Adobe Connect, but if someone knows a better way, please advise. (Adobe says the frame rate of live camera feeds on my desktop, vs the frame rate of Flash which Connect is based on, may be different, and if so, make the video image poor; anyone verify that?)
Lastly: audio over iChat is crappy with musical instruments. That's using the MacBook's built-in mic. The sound is compressed and distorted. Would using an external mic improve the sound? Is that the nature of iChat? Would Skype sound better?
Lastly: if it's impossible to share multiple camera views like I want, then maybe it's possible to simply hook up a video switcher and change the camera feed being sent to my MacBook and out via Skype. Anyone have facts about doing that?

Can't view secruity cam in Safari

I have a DLink security cam that I am trying to view in Safari on my mac, and the sreaming MPEG4 doesn't display. However on a PC with Internet Exploder; it works fine. Anyone have any ideas?

Also, try the site in Firefox. If there are windows issues involved, Firefox is usually the better browser to use.
