Viewing iPhone Content On iPad?

Going abroad with my iPhone and my iPad and I am asking: can I view my iPhone content on my iPad? assuming with wi-fi or even better, without it?

You can probably create a personal hotspot and then your iPad will be online. It's hard on the iPhone battery, but it works well. I do it.

Viewing iphone apps on ipad

Hello Everyone,
I recently bought an iPad2. When I synced it to my iTunes account, I knew that all of the apps I have purchased that work on the iPad and iPhone would be transferred to my iPad. I didn't think any iPhone only apps would be transferred. However, when I went to the App store to look at the iPad versions of my iPhone apps, it shows that the iPhone versions are installed on the iPad, but I don't see the icon. I can search the iPad and find the iPhone only app and open it but again I cannot find out how to open this just by selecting its icon. Is there a setting or something where I can have the iPhone only apps show up on the iPad? Thanks.

Unless you de-selected the apps on the Apps tab when syncing to your computer's iTunes then all compatible apps would be synced - only those where you might have a high enough iOS version or iPhone apps which require full phone capability wouldn't be synced.
On the iPad all apps should show, there is no 'hide iphone apps' settings (though some apps can be hidden via Settings > General > Restrictions, in which case they wouldn't show up in searches). If you can only find the apps via the spotlight search screen but not just by going through your homescreens, then how many homescreens have you got - there is a limit of 11, after which apps can only be accessed via the search screen, though you can use app folders to make of them 'visible'

I would like to specifically see what is on my ipad when on itunes so that i can manually delete items off of it (specifically films) as when i sync my ipad it doesn't remove the films i have unchecked from my library.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by this, when the iPad is connected to your computer, with iTunes running and your iPad selected - you can see what is on your iPad. You are saying that you are in checking them in iTunes so you are seeing the films that are on the iPad if you are unchecking them.
if no success using iTunes, delete them from the iPad in the Videos App. Tap the edit button in the upper right corner in the Movies tab of the Videos App and an X will pop up on each movie. Tap the X to delete the movies.

Open your QuickTime control panel (either via the Control panels, or by going "Edit > Preferences > QuickTime Preferences" in the Quicktime Player). In the Advanced tab, uncheck Enable Direct3D video acceleration:

The data isn't actually stored in iTunes. iTunes is like a card catalog that allows you to access information from the various places that it's stored on the computer. SMS and contact info will be viewable in whatever program you sync contact information. The backup actually keeps the files, but doesn't make them viewable, I'm pretty sure. You can only see the info you've actually synced.

Are you using iCloud on all devices? That's one of the features of using iCloud - keeping all of your devices in sync seamlessly. You don't have to sync with iTunes in order for this to work.
Settings>iCloud> Turn the Calendar and Notes app on on all devices.

This was EXACTLY what I needed about the purchases I made from my device. However, is there a way to re-download other ones you've made from a computer? Because I realized some of them were not just purchased from my device.

If you want to use multiple devices - move to imap, I would even say "exchange", but Google does not support free exchange anymore, since January of that year. So Ironically Icloud or Hotmail would be my choices right now.

Can't view the content of my notes on imac only the title however any notes made on my iPhone after the latest up date do show

They have already escalated it to a claim for you as that is what they do when you paid as a guest buyer and asked them for help. I am relatively new to apple (have an iPad) and having been a PC user for years I was pleasantly surprised with the apple experience and am now trying to work out the best set up for me, my husband and young son as I am buying them both of them apple products this Christmas. New Mac laptop/ ipad for hubby and then an ipod touch for my son oh and a new mac laptop for me. We are also thinking of moving from Blackberries to iPhones. Yes we seem to be hooked! but i am unsure about the home family set up and how to replace my PC network that I run off an 8TB server.
In reading the forums I keep seeing people talk about problems they have with two apple IDs and trying to merge them. I have also heard about a family ID allowing us to share apps legally. I am really nervous of setting us up wrong and then having problems later and hence i am now looking for some advice on how to share as much as we can legally but also make usage practical and not invading each others privacy. thoughts so far:
Music - I think we are happy to share the same music and access using one ID (we currently don't buy much music from apple but have lots of CDs we share).
Photos - It would be nice to share photos - as long as my son or husband cannot accidentally delete photos of mine (which is my biggest concern). I currently load all camera photos onto my 8TB storage box as the network owner and my husband has full access to copy any photo to his laptop but can never delete the original copies by accident.
Apps - If possible i would like us to share these but they are cheap enough these days to separate if really needed. Would be good to share licence for pages etc though
cloud, contacts, facetime, email - this is what is making me consider separate IDs or learning how to have multiple users in one apple ID - I do not want to have to share synced contacts with my husband. I have near 300 contacts now through work etc and he will not want them plus i will not want his or him being able to delete mine by mistake. and then for email and facetime, well I want to give him his privacy so I do not receive his messages etc. especially now that we are considering switching to iPhones
Then last but not least, i don't know the best solution for my son. he is only 7 years old so even though I don't want to pay for things again I don't want him being able to download "just any" app from the purchased icon in Appstore. Also, is there a child friendly setting to prevent him from viewing inappropriate content on the internet?
