Viewing mail box and number of unread mails for each user

i need to know if there is a ready made portlet to get the number of unread messages from my mail box, and if there is no such portlet , what is the best way to do it and where to start

There is a set of portlets for Microsoft Exchange that will be published via the PDK shortly. The set contains a portlet for email, contacts, and schedules.

My share point site have two Lists as Holidays and MyCalender.
Actually Holiday is simple non-Calender list with field as Holiday Date, Reason. MyCalender List Calender type list with Person Look-up column and user can see his own record. User of Manager group will declare holiday. This Holiday should get reflected
on each user 's MyCalender List.[One listitem as holiday date and reason for each user] so everyone can view that record.
I have requirement as Manager will create one Holiday record and then run single workflow so for all users present in SharePoint Site, one MyCalender List Item record should get created. Is it possible to do using Workflow?? Please help as I didn't get any

You don't need one workflow per user when a filtered view can do this for you. If the manager's list is the parent calendar, I'm assuming that he'll be at least using the person look-up column.
Whether this feeds through the MyCalendar or stays where it is, you can use the [Me] parameter within the filter on a new view. This will then return the assigned holiday filtering against the account that is logged in.

"View Mail for Exc?" message all the time

I installed Mail for exchange.
This works. But I all the time the message "View Mail for Exc?".
With the options "View" or "Exit".
Even when there is no new mail.
How can I stop this message to be shown?
I have a ASHA 300.

Try rebuilding your Mail index:
1. Quit Mail if it's running.
2. Go to Home/Library/Mail and delete the Envelope Index file, but don't empty the Trash yet.
3. Restart Mail and allow it to import your existing messages; when it's finished your index will have been rebuilt. Check to see if that message still shows as unread and if so, mark it as read, quit Mail and restart it to see if it turns up as Unread again. If not, then your problem is resolved.

How can i change the E-mail for system user BWREMOTE, i tried in SU01 email field is empty in communication tab, checked in BW and ECC no details were maintained. Currently this user is able to send emails, would like to change the email address to this user.

For this you have to maintain the list of process and email note faction when process chain failed in transaction code RSPCM in BW system

Control Approval mails for every user

Hi everyone,
I have following question:
We have implemented an approval workflow to publish documents in our CM. If a user submits a document to approval, an email will be sent to the person who has to approve the document and a workitem is sent to the UWL. How can I suspend the sending of the email, so that the approver only gets a workitem to the UWL and not an email in addition too? Is it possilbe to control that for each user like in R/3 SBWP?

Hi Patricio,
yes, that would be the easy way! But I don't want to remove the email channel, because user should still be able to send emails etc. from portal. also the feedback, collaboration services should send mails. I only want to suspend the email notifications for the approval process!

Help in estimating number of dialogue steps for portal user scenarios

I am looking for your expert advice in determining the number of dialogue steps for SAP portal users in the following scenarios:
1) External users accessing a SAP portal to access utilities services such as viewing bills, paying bills, update meter readings etc. The system needs to support 6000 concurrent users.
2) Internal users (customer service agents) accessing IS-U, CRM (potentially BW) via an internal SAP portal. The system needs to support 2000 concurrent users. .
It would be extremely helpful to hear from anyone that has been involved in SAP portal implementations who could advise me on number of dialogue steps to use for each user scenario.

How can I prevent Firefox profiles from becoming large and taking up space on the C drive for each user?

I have many users logged into a Windows Server 2008 R2 Remote Desktop Server (Terminal Server) and all of them use Firefox. Each one of their profiles get very large due to their Firefox profiles.
Seems that all the space being taken up by the cache folder. (C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\Profile.default\Cache)
Is there a way to enforce a policy within the program to clear the cache for each user either each time the browser is closed or when the user logs off?

when you lock the preferences with the mozilla.cfg file in the firefox program folder as it's described in the mozillazine kb article above, it should apply for all users...

Exporting detail and subreports to different file for each

I have a details section, and 5 subreports.
Is there a way to define a param ? so that each report lands on it's own file ?
Currently if i export the report, all details/subreports go to the same file.

Hi John,
A report with saved data can be altered using an updated record selection formula prompt without hitting the DB again.
For example your report returns each Country sales records, You export that to RPT format or save data with report from the designer. Now you can hit the refresh button and if you have a Country Parameter it will prompt and you to use the saved data, do this for each.
Bottom line is CR Designer does not have the ability to export subreports to a unique file in one refresh. You can using the above, export 5 times, one for each subreport. You have to set up the report do filter for each of course.
CR Server and BOE has a feature like this. As well as being able to schedule for each user. In that case though you can simply create a report for each and not bother with subreports.

OIM11g R2 - If two roles (ACF2 and AD) are selected together for a user req

We are facing a problem In the Catalog, if two roles (ACF2 and AD) are selected together for a user and checking it out.The request goes to approval process.We have not created any approval process flow.
Plz let me know how to recover from it and provide an option to provision two roles simulaneously to a user without going into approval process.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a user in OIM .
2. Search that user.Administration->Users->Search User
3. Click on 'Roles' tab and select 'Request Role' under that tab.
4.'Catalog' tab opens .Click on Search icon and Add AD and ACF2 Role to the cart.
5. Click on 'Check out'
6. Click on Submit button
7. Request Summary tab opens with Request status shown as 'Obtaining Request Approval' and Request Type as 'Assign Roles'.
Note: If we assign AD and ACF2 individually to user and running Evaluate User Policies we are able to see account in Provisioned state under Accounts tab of User and request is not going to approval process

As mentioned I created two auto approval policies
1. Request Type= Assign Roles
Level= Request Level
Auto Approval checked
Approval Rule=Requester.UserLogin Equals XELSYSADM
(Created this rule as i am logeed in as XELSYSADM)
2. Request Type= Assign Roles
Level= Operation Level
Auto Approval checked
All Scope Checked
Approval Rule=Request.RequestType Equals Assign Roles
After that i opened the user request role page and requested 2 roles (AD and ACF2).
But now also request went to approval work flow
Please point which step i have missed or any other step need to be performed.

Export list of senders in mail box (and number of emails received from them)

I, like many people I know, have allowed my email inbox to get out of control. I want to unsubscribe to the accounts that spam me most. But first, I would like to export a list of all the senders for each individual email in my inbox. I would like to identify the accounts that spam me most often so I can address them first (Pareato Principle ).
I DO NOT want a list of senders only, I also need to know the quantity of emails I have received from them. Does anyone know how to export this information into an excel file?

Is viewing Mail for Exchange account in Nokia Mess...

I've got a XM5530 with the latest firmware installed. I've downloaded what i thought was the latest version of Mail for Exchange (from the SW update on the phone) v.2.09(208). I saw a v3 available on Ovi.com, but when I downloaded and installed, it still says v2.09(208) on my phone.
My version of Nokia Messaging is also the latest version I can find (10.02(4)).
Both are working fine independantly, but I want to have my Mail for Exchange account in my Nokia Messaging. Is this possible???
I saw online that the latest version of Mail for Exchange supports Nokia Messaging, and when you set up a new email account you get an option to select an 'Exchange' account. But, I don't get this. All I get is enter fields for 'email address' & 'password' which I enter, but it does not recognise my details. (I get no 'exchange' option).
Is this only available on certain handsets. Can I do it on my 5530??

Mail for Exchange 3.0 is not (yet?) supported on the 5530.
I am also waiting, does anyone know if Nokia plans to release Mfe 3.0 for the 5530 ??? Sure hope so, for the moment I am using 2.9 but the support for subfolders and HTML would be a huge benefit!!

Voice mail for one user with two extensions

Environment:
Cisco Unified CM Administration System version: 7.1.3.30000-1
Cisco Unity Connection Administration Version 7.1.3.10000-68
We have a user this year that will be wearing two hats and will have offices in two different locations. I have both extensions as a line on each phone. Now I just need to point both extensions to the same voicemail box or give the user two mail boxes. It seems that CM Administration only supports one voicemail box per user. I think it would be easier for the user to only have to check one mail box by having both extensions point to the same VM. How can I accomplish this?

Let's say the user has numbers 7005 & 8450 but we want only one mailbox
@ 7005. There are a couple of ways to do this.
In CUCM go to> Feature> Voicemail> Voicemail Profile and create a new Profile called XXXX (whatever name you want) with a Description called "XXXX username Mailbox" the Voice Mail Box Mask will be 7005> Save
Then via CUCM go to the Users Phones> under Directory Number Config for 8450> Voicemail Profile and change to XXXX (created previously in above steps)>Update>Reset
Now when a call routes via forward to Unity Connection it will reach the Mailbox @ 7005.
Or in Unity Connection set up Alternate Extension so that 8450 is an Alternate Extension for 7005 etc.
