Viewing/mirror iPhone App screen on laptop?

Anyone know if there's a way to view live streamed iPhone 6+ App on the laptop?  Directly connected.  Just want to mirror the iPhone screen.

If you choose File > New and choose the Mobile App Design preset, you'll find the Size menu already lists most recent iPhone screen sizes including the 6 and 6 Plus.
Mylenium's link is very helpful; if you go there and go to Icon and Image Sizes there's a table of dimensions for all of those things.
If you have Photoshop CC 2014, you can set up Generator and Extract Assets to export layers (e.g. button designs) to multiple pixel dimensions automatically. That will be a lot easier and faster than manually sizing/cropping/exporting.

    How can I mirror Iphone 4s screen (app Navigon) to TFT monitor in my car over  the composite AV cable?

    I think your right modular747 about the next gen iPhone. This is certainly a very unique use of an iPhone and probably not useful for enough for other applications to make it a priority for apple to add a video input on the phone. Thanks to all for the suggestions keepem coming and if i come up with a solution I'll post it for anyone who is interested;-)

  • Mirror iPhone 6 screen

    Can I mirror my iPhone 6 screen to my iMac or to my Power MacBook?

    Hi giannitufolli,
    If you are running OS X 10.10 Yosemite, you can view and record your iPhone's screen from the QuickTime Player application when directly connected via USB:
    Getting Started
    With iOS 8 and OS X Yosemite, you can capture real-time footage of your app directly from your iOS device. Simply connect your device to your Mac using the Lightning connector and it will be automatically available as a video camera. You can capture anything you’re doing on-screen directly to your Mac using QuickTime Player. Edit your captured footage in iMovie or your favorite video editing app and upload it to iTunes Connect for review along with your next app update.

  • IPhone app screen size set up in Photoshop

    I'm designing an iPhone app in Photoshop. I want to work in 2X size.
    What size should I set the screen up in Photoshop to be able to export UI images and icons accurately?
    Should I use an iPhone 5 or iPhone 6 screensize?
    These are both 2X png but screensizes are different, therefore UI exported for the @2X size will differ depending on which screensize I first decide to start with.

    If you choose File > New and choose the Mobile App Design preset, you'll find the Size menu already lists most recent iPhone screen sizes including the 6 and 6 Plus.

  • How do I pop-up a media player modal view in iPhone app?

    Hi,
    I would love to know how the mail app in the iphone pops up a media player modal view when you click on an audio attachment in an email. The media player view slides up, plays the file, then slides away, giving control back to the mail app. Does anyone know how this is done?
    Thanks!

    It also matters not where the media files are stored (laptop hard drive or network drive).
    AppleTV relies on iTunes to stream local content.
    Not the most environmentally friendly option but that's the way it is.

  • Losing iPhone apps across 2 laptops

    I recently bought a 3GS, and bought several apps from the app store. This was done on my new 17" MacBook Pro. Everything worked fine. Then I had to go on a business trip and I took my older Powerbook. Everything seemed fine until I sync'ed, and then, lo and behold, the little box at the top told me that it was literally sucking back every new app that I had purchased. And when I re-synced they were indeed all gone. Help?

    Thanks again, Alan.
    I'm afraid, in my view, these limitations ARE staggering! I know I'll get shot down for saying that here, but there you are.
    I have said before, I abolutley love the iPhone and wouldn't be without it, BUT, this whole thing with iTunes is frankly a pain in the a**.
    I have come from 2-3 years of Windows Mobile devices, and despite it's many annoyances and fiddly button-based UI, I at least had freedom to do what I wanted with my phones. I could just drag and drop any files on any computer that I wanted.
    Some of the issues I have are
    1) I can only sync with one computer's library, so if I'm on the move, I'm stuffed.
    2) I have had issues with the same computer being authorised several times to take me up to my limit of 5. Apple said that iTunes should recognise the same hardware and not count an authorisation again - it doesn't.
    3) My children have had issues with their iPod Touches in as much as their apps have been wiped by iTunes, and they've reached their 5 computer limit for the same reason as me. Also there is no indication that we can see to say whether the computer you are on has been authorised or not, as both 'authorise' and 'de-authorise' are both available on the menu. Would be more useful, like in other apps, to grey out one of the options which obviously then shows whether the app has been validated/authorised or not. (Try getting Adobe to clock up more authorisations if you exceed 2!)
    I realise that a lot of this may be down to us all being Apple novices, but I have had many years of computer experience, and never have I had so many issues with what I view as restrictions on my freedom to do what I want with electronic devices.
    I'm not trying to be awkward or negative here, just giving a users opinion.
    (Stands back.....!)
    As I said earlier, iTunes aside, I love the iPhone.

  • How do i view the iPhone app top charts in the App Store on an iPad with iOS 6?

    You could do this on iOS 5, but the feature seems to have disappeared in iOS 6.

    As Johnathan has written yes apps for iPhone will work in the iPad, however there is a '+' mark on the icon you touch or click for download which indicates both iPhone AND iPad apps. Those apps will display perfectly for the iPad.

  • How to View iPhone Screen on Laptop (PC) screen?

    Hi
    The question is How to View iPhone Screen on Laptop (PC) screen? It is not a jailbreak Iphone. I know there is an opp to hook it up to desktop computer screen via HDMI, but will I get the same result plugging Iphone into laptop via HDMI?
    Are there any way to show Iphone screen onto laptop display?
    Thanks.

    You can, however, view the Mac display on your iPhone. Or stream video and music from your Mac, too.
    Google +"Telekenesis" +"iphone" for the details.

  • Why does iphone 5 not use whole screen viewing for videos also when using iplayer app it only works on iphone 4 screen settings. why can we not have whole screen displaying image.

    I have a iphone 5, I was dissapointed that when watching iplayer the screen settings are same as iphone 4 so end user has no joy enjoying the big screen , I have noticed youtube does the same,

  • Connecting iPhone screen to laptop screen?

    There is a cable where you can connect an Apple device to a television I know, but how do you connect/record an iPhone screen to a laptop? I have seen people do this on YouTube..?

    You can do this with certain iPhones and certain Macs running Yosemite.
    You can also use a program like Reflector to mirror your iPhone to a computer: http://www.airsquirrels.com/reflector/
    The options for what you can display on the computer are dependent on the iPhone you have - that is, some iPhones can only mirror certain apps, rather than the entire phone's screen. The iPhone 4S and later can mirror the entire phone's screen. More on this here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201335
    Hope that helps.

  • Launch a splash screen when an iPhone app starts

    Hi, I am trying to make a simple game for the iPhone, and when the app launches, I want a splash screen with instructions to come up. I also want the user to be able to push anywhere on the screen to dismiss it. However, the splash screen doesn't load! I made a new nib file with the splash screen, created a view controller, and a UIView subclass for the screen. Then, I inserted this code into the applicationDidFinishLaunching method of the app delegate:
    - (void)applicationDidFinishLaunching:(UIApplication *)application {
    [window addSubview:[splashViewController view]];
    splashViewIsCurrentView = YES;
    [window makeKeyAndVisible];
    - (void)touchesBegan:(NSSet *)touches withEvent:(UIEvent *)event {
    if(splashViewIsCurrentView) {
    [[splashViewController view] removeFromSuperview];
    [window addSubview:[gameViewController view]];
    splashViewIsCurrentView = NO;
    I forgot to mention, in interface builder, I made the splash view's class as SplashView, and the File's Owner as the SplashViewController. Also, splashViewIsCurrentView is a boolean I made.

    I like the idea behind your use of "splashViewIsCurrentView". I think that may solve my problem.
    I too have a full-screen instruction view pop up over the main input view of the app. The instruction view is added as a subview of the main input view. I want to dismiss the instruction view with a touch. However, in the instruction view view controller, the touch even methods are not fired - even after twiddling with enabling user interaction on the instruction view and its subviews of label and fiddling with their frame sizes. While the instruction view is displayed over the main input view, the touch events are actually still associated with the main input view (and its controls) underneath. Seems like I am forgetting something but i don't know what.
    Your solution will probably work well and it is similar to what I was originally doing in handling the touch events in the main input view view controller. However, technically, it seems kludgy to not be able to handle the touch events in the instruction view view controller where it seems to make more sense to do so.
    Would you or anyone else know why or have any suggestions on things to look out for? The view and controls involved are all supposed to be descendants of UIResponder. Is there a bug or restriction I'm not aware of? Wondering why you went the route you did. Seems like you may have run up against what I am currently facing.

  • Is there a way to lock the screen?  Why did it copy all my iphone apps?

    I really would like to lock the screen so it doesn't change position if I move it a little bit. Anybody know if this is possible?
    Why the heck did it copy all of my Iphone apps onto itself even though I told it not too? Not too happy about that...
    Otherwise I think it is absolutely amazing. The touch screen is very responsive. In fact, I think it is perfect.

    There's a little switch above the volume buttons on the right side. Flip it and try turning the screen.

    Not sure since we're not sure the processes you took to sync it. When its plugged into your computer and you are viewing it in iTunes you can go into the "Applications" tab and select which apps you want and don't want. On the main info page there is a checkbox that says sync apps automatically".
    Cheers.

  • App to use iSight as a rear view mirror?

    This may be entirely random - but has anyone heard of a download or application or other way in which to use the built in iSight as a "rear view mirror" of sorts? Preferably without having the whole photo booth open? I couldn't find anything in the downloads section but can't believe no one else wouldn't have thought of this.
    I am a writer and get easily distracted, so like to have ear phones in with music. Problem is, my back faces the door to my office and so if people come in or to the door I have no idea - and really don't want to be startled! If I had a "mirror" I could put at the top corner of my screen I think it would help...

    Or did you mean more like this item http://www.ecamm.com/mac/huckleberry/ ?
    This fits on the top of a laptop screen and make the camera show what is the other side.

  • Can't find IPhone app for Calendar view when you turn on the phone - anyone

    I read about (can't remember where) an Iphone app that allows you to choose your calendar view as the thing you see when the phone is turned on before you slide the arrow to the right to open everything up; meaning, you can just press the top button or the bottom screen button and immediately see your calendar. Does anyone know what this app is called? I can't find it anywhere! Thanks!

    The Health app is a default app and cannot be deleted. Search for the Health app by touching the screen and sliding your finger down to reveal Spotlight search. Type in Health and the Health app should come up. That means its on your iPhone somewhere.

  • Is there anyway I can retrieve my street view back for the Find My iPhone app?

    Is there anyway I can retrieve my street view back for the Find My iPhone app?

    My wonderful daughter gave me the solution to my problem.  Hopefully it will work for you as well - a Hard Restart....To do this you will need to hold down the screen lock button and the home key together until your iPad shuts off.  Once your iPad has shut off, simply restart it.  Once the iPad was turned back on, my street views returned for all of my maps :-)
