Viewing music videos on iPhone?
I downloaded Beyonces new album, but can only hear the music and cannot view the videos. What am I doing wrong?
1. Are you positive you downloaded the music video completely?
2. Try opening it by going to Videos (not iPod) and seeing if it is there.
If not, I would recommend deleting the album and putting it back on your iPhone.

Unable to view music videos in iTunes on mac
I have iTunes on a G5 Mac Pro It is on the latest version of 10.5 with the most recent update to iTunes. I am unable to view music videos many of which I purchased from the iTMS or came with music CD's as extras some are m4v others are mp4.
If on import I set the option for format as being Music Video I cannot get the videa to launch double clicking on the video gives a picture in the album cover window but does not launch the video viewer nor does the video play. I dont often view music videos just Movies or TV Shows and last time I did I recall Music Videos playing they opened in a seperate window and there was once a setting in preferences where you could choose if a video launched in a new window or used on in iTunes.
I have used the info window to change the video type to standard movie and then going back to the file in iTunes double clicking launches the video in full screen mode. Once I then set back to Music Video it reverts to refusing to play.
In any format the file plays in Quicktime
Any suggestions pointing to where the problem may lie would be welcome. I cant see any relevant settings to set how a video displays in either menus or Preferences other than ensuring video window stays on top. It maybe in one of the many upgrades this Mac and iTunes has had the settings have been corrupted.They will not show up in a separete category in iTunes. This is because the videos will show up as songs so that you can play the audio portion of a video without the video. Try it.

The YouTube app is not included in iOS 6 (I think because the licensing agreement with google ended). You will either need to try one of the YouTube apps from the store (there is an iPhone optimised app from google, and other people have said that they are working on an iPad version), or (if this isn't the version that you have tried) try accessing the mobile version via Safari : http://m.youtube.com (you can create a home screen shortcut for the site)

I have updated my iphone 4 with iOS 6, but now i am unable to transfer my music videos to iphone.I cant add a music video to itunes using 'add file to library' and then transfer it to my iphone. Am using itunes 10.7.
You need to update iTunes to 11.1 on your PC

Can't view music videos since upgrade
Since upgrading iTunes to 10.2.1 I can no longer view music videos. I hear the music, but the window only displays the same image that's showing in Now Playing.
I have made no other changes except the upgrade?Thanks, I think that did the trick. At least now I can see Little Feat play "Let It Roll'

Why did you take away the full screen view of videos through the music app on my iPhone? My videos are now only an inch in size and because of the new ios you cannot even watch them in landscape mode. Why is there NOT a shuffle function or continuous play in the Music VIDEO app?? You can only watch one video at a time rather than let them play through. You have ruined my whole music video experience, why am I buying them to watch them in 1" scale or one at a time?
ANSWER.
Apple changed the functionality in the music app and added the ability to view your music videos in the videos app. This works for both the iPad and iPhone and you can view in full screen. Also an additional note, if you try to airplay a music video from your music app it doesn't work. It does however work from the video app.

10.1 Update - Lost ability to view music videos on Mac
Since upgrading to 10.1 I have lost the ability to view videos i iTunes on my Mac - the Now Playing window just shows a static image. If I change the preferences to view the videos in another window or full screen, iTunes still just shows a static mage in the Now Playing window.
I know the videos are still there - I can download new ones to itunes, sync and then play them in my iPhone and iPad - and the video icon still appears next to those songs in iTunes, but will not play in iTunes.
My podcasts and movies are still playing fine in ITunes - it's just the music videos that appear in my Music Library which no longer work.even though I think my Senior Analyst is trying his best I did a work around that works well... I bought a little program that converts them to .mov files which play just fine in iTunes... Still converting though.. As I said I have have a bunch. The poster above is incorrect in saying or hinting that the ones that dont play must of come from a source such as limewire etc... all of mine came straight from iTunes and I have tried 3 different configurations with Apple to get them to work. I am not complaining as I could never imagine anyone calling from Dell as this guy has from Texas on some days at least 3-4 times.. I figure I will get other uses besides just this with this program but for now it solves this issue until a fix is made... here is a link

ITunes won't sync some music videos to iPhone?
Hey gang-
I have lots of iTunes purchased music videos in iTunes that I also sync and enjoy on my iPhone 3gs. But I also have some music videos that I made myself from video I shot. They display and play fine in iTunes on my Mac.
But the weird thing is the ones I made will NOT sync to my iPhone. Now- I recall learning something about this a few years ago. I seem to recall iPod and iPhone are much more "fussy" than Desktop iTunes about what they consider to be a Music Video. Something to do with Metatags, but it was very specific about which ones?
Here's what I do know:
1) Both my types of music videos appear in the Music Videos Smart playlist in iTunes on my Mac.
2) When I Get Info, both types of Music Videos show Media Kind of "Music Video" on the Options tab.
3) Both play Audio and Video perfectly in iTunes on my Desktop Mac
4) But the ones I made will NOT sync to my iPhone, even though the playlist they are in is selected and "Include Music Videos" is selected in the iTunes Sync Music tab.
Can anyone remember what the "magic" is to getting iPhone to get on the same page with iTunes on Music Videos? Running iTunes 10.2.1 and Snow Leopard 10.6.6 and iOS 4.2.1 on iPhone 3gs

Getting music videos onto iPhone 4
I would like to play downloaded music videos through a home theatre product i have recently purchased and I've having a bit of trouble....
Firstly, i have never had problems playing 'normal' mp4 style videos which i have in iTunes, and have copied over to my iPhone 4- These can be found in the iPod mode under 'Videos' and play fine.
I tried to get music videos onto my phone directly from my mac- (these appear both in my music library in iTunes and in the 'Music Videos' Playlist), but when i try syncing it to my iPhone when its connected it appears to sync, but afterwards i cannot find it anywhere on the iPhone!
I though i had cracked it then, when i downloaded 3/4 music videos directly from the itunes store on my iPhone 4, as they downloaded with no problems, and suddenly appeared under a new category in the video option (in iPod mode on iPhone 4) labelled music videos. I was chuffed and this worked fine, until i synced with itunes on my mac again (for backup purposes) and it decided to get rid of them from my phone. Once more I'm back to square one, with the music videos on my Mac fine, but with no way of getting them back on my iPhone4. I'm sure I'm being an idiot and there is something simple I'm missing but i just cant work it out....
please please help!!!I am having the same issue. I have tried reinstalling itunes, I have wiped my phone and set it up again. I don't know what else to do.

How to sync music/videos from iphone to computer - lost ext hard drive
I recently lost my external hard drive where I was storing all my music, videos and photos. Long story, but the backup was not occurring. I have precious video and music on my iphone (some original, not purchased) that I don't have the data for, but the iTunes libraries are still intact. But the libraries are pointing to a drive that doesn't exist. I have purchased a new hard drive that has the same drive letter as the original one. Will iTunes create a new folder and sync my music and videos to the same place, or do I need to recreate exactly the same path? Also, if something like this will work, will it sync, bringing the files from the iPhone to the new external hard drive? Please, can anyone help?
Thanks for your reply, KiltedTim! After reading on some additional resource sites and evaluating suggestions and reviews, I did try a 3rd party software which worked beautifully! The software allows the user to store the data into different folders by content type, including subfolders, too. I completely understand Apple's theology to make the sync a one way deal for copyrighted content, but when the unthinkable happens, it sure is nice to at least have an option to preserve anything personal and legal that you have on your iPhone that you lost on your hard drive, mainly music, videos, voice memos, text messages and notes. I am completely respectul of the protection of copyrighted music...I am just very glad that the people that created the software "had my back" this time for my precious family memories and the time saved trying to reimport all my music CD's!

How to view youtube videos from iphone 4 to tv using composite AV cable

Can any one please help me as to how to view youtube online videos on TV through my iphone 4. I tried connecting the iphone 4 and TV with a composite AV cable however I can hear only the audio but am not able to view the videos.It seems so stupid that you cant sort videos by date. Some please tell is that we are idiots and tell us how? And if u simply cant, well a big shout out goes to google for being right on top of things. I hate google! Company is too big and they cant keep up apparently. Sooo much junk on you tube and they cant give us filter and sort options on the most widely used tablet on the market.? Gawd pleeeeze tell me im an idiot!

Transfering music video to iphone
I could not transfer video file to my iphone even when i convert the video files to .mp4, .mov, etc. I can transfer .mp3 files but video file is just not accepting, can somebody help me or give me a suggestion please.
ZelaI cannot move those video files into itunes from my computer hard drives, but on other computers some of the files can be move, i really don't understand this transfering thing work on iphone. and another question, does the previous data like mp3, music video, ringtone etc. always has to replaced or refresh when i move a new file to my iphone through itunes even moving a single file to my iphone replaced the whole data inside the iphone. can it be update as one file each like that?
