Viewing My IP Cameras on my iPhoe

I did have 4 D-Link Cameras with assigned names and port forwarding set up on my router. I could be out of town, type in farrar.remotecam.com:1030, and see the video to keep an eye on the house.
I changed over to Trendnet TV-IP422w cameras and set those up the same way. When I type in my URL of any of the 4 cameras, I see the camera controls, can make changes to the setting, etc. BUT cannot see any video. Trendnet says I need to download software to view video? Apparently, my stream on these is different. I have the option of MJPEG or M4JPEG-neither work.
What can I load on my iPhone to view my video cameras remotely? I have no problem viewing them from a laptop.

Axis will use either the H.264, MJPEG as their Codec/Containers for the video streams, this will be to ensure they are ONVIF compliant, however the Cisco SPA phone isn't designed for that
It is highly unlikely it would work as the SPA-525 series phone will only know how to talk to the PVC cameras and will be able to negotiate the transport stream.
You would be better of having the client connect to them using their iPAD/iPhone/ANDROID tablet which would be more reliable and secure anyway.

You will need to do one (or more) of several things:
1) Find out if the maker of your cameras has an app for your BB. Do whatever they say to do to make it work.
2) Create a compatible web page from your cameras that you can then view using your BB web browser. Compatible media streams can be found in this KB:

I think this has been done before -- do a wide search on this forum and see if you can find the answers that others have found in the past.

Trying to view an ip camera on my iphone

i just recently aquired an 3Gs Iphone, and want to view my ip camera on it. I can link to my Dyndns address but it routes me to download the Java script, when i link to the Sun website is says that apple do not use the site to download Java script, is there any other way to download the pluggin to my iphone.

JavaScript? Or Java? Though similarly named, they're completely different things. If viewing your IP camera is done through a Java applet, then it's not going to be possible from an iPhone since the iPhone does not support Java.

30 seconds to reconnect to a WiFi network is not unusual, especially in an environment where other radio signals on similar frequencies are present. Sorry about that.
You might get better times by letting the WiFi base station pick another channel. But you might not.

What changed in Firefox versions 15,16 & 17 while viewing network security cameras?

I have been viewing my network Axis security camera's over my local area network for years with Firefox. After update version 15, I can only view the image for a few seconds before I have to reload the page because the image will disappear. The camera's server stays up, but the video image is gone, and telling me to reload page. After a reload it comes back in. Sometimes it will only last 5 sec's, other times between 30 & 60 sec's. If I downgrade to version 14.0.1, it all works fine like it should again. Am I doomed to use this version now forever? Or is there a way to tweak the newer version to let me view the video image longer?
Camera's video image is in Motion JPEG format and I have the latest Java & flash installed. I also have tried Firefox with all plugins disabled and it still don't help. I have 64 bit Windows 7 for operating system.

HT3775 bought Bushnell trail cam: worked,got 2nd cam: worked. Got 3rd cam which needed DIV X,so downloaded, now can't view 1st 2 cams. msg " required codec is not available" ***? worked for 2 years till downloaded DIV X now can't view old cams. Suggestion

I bought a Bushnell trail cam. Worked well, each video presented on the screen with the opening frame of the 10 second video. I could tell at a glance what the video was.( I have to guess it used quicktime ). I bought a second cam, same results as first. I bought a 3rd cam ,( all bushnell ), which required me to download " DIV X ", which I did. Now, I can no longer view the first frame of the 10 sec video, it just has an icon that says "AVI XXX" ( XXXbeing the number of the video ). I now have to click the icon, go to "Action" drop down "open with" and select DIV X , for each "anonymous" video, ( as I cant see what they are any more , just a number). Furthermore, I can no longer view my old videos. A message shows up saying " a required codec is not available" ***????
The 2 original cams worked for 2 years with no problem, but since downloading DIV X I cant play the older ones. I should point out that even if I select a (now) anonymous video, go to " Action", drop down "open with" and manually select quicktime, the message still shows up about the codec.
Suggestions??

Viewing my Pentax camera movies

I have a Pentax Optio A30, 10 megapixels. I cannot view the movies I take on this camera on my Mac. I update software regularly and have QuickTime 7.6.2, which, when I try to open a movie, tells me additional software is needed which may be available online in QuickTime components. I have no idea which of the components to choose, but because the camera instruction book mentions DivX, I tried to download that; however, it requires an Intel Processor and I only have a G4.
I also have RealPlayer 11.0.1 for Mac, which will seem to open it; however, I click the play button and the time starts ticking off, but nothing shows up on the screen.
Windows Media Player does not give me options for opening the movies.
My daughter has a Windows PC which is a couple years old and will open the movies with RealPlayer but not QuickTime, so I know they can be played.
I would appreciate suggestions

About the Memory? If so, just get good quality and as much as the eMac will take, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at the ease of installation & what wonders it does for OSX's speed.

I have been using Lightroom for the last couple of weeks as a possible new addition to the old work flow...
The main frustrating problem I am having though is that when I view my photos in develop mode it loads and the little 'loading' box comes up at the bottom of the the photo and then it seems to automatically use a preset when I don't want it to. 90% of the time the image was better before lightroom made these changes to the image... it seems to dull down the exposure, lift the blacks a little when I really don't want it to.
All I want to do is edit from the pure raw image from the camera. I have tried a number of things such as turning off auto-tone adjustments but it just keeps changing my images when I don't want it to.
I am probably doing something stupid here so any help will be much appreciated.

You can, of course, adjust the default slider value to anything you want then set that as your camera default. For example, you mention that the deafult lifts the blacks a little. To correct this just set the black value to what you think looks better then go to Develop menu in Develop module and choose Set Default Settings...

View a USB Camera on my Mini from my MacBook

I have an older Mini, intel 2ghz, that I have a Logitech Quick Cam Vision Pro hooked up to. It is kind of spare now that the last larva went off to the big U. I want to remotely view the video on my MacBook or iMac to monitor weather & view outside. It has wonderful HD capabilities, I live in the high mountains, so the view is great as a feed. My problem is I cannot find a software package to view the video on one with another within the network. I know something has to exist, but I cannot seem to define the search down narrowly enough to not get a bunch of view it on my iPhone or security camera stuff.

Another trick that has worked for more than a decade is to plug in a still camera that has an LCD viewfinder. The image in the viewfinder now becomes a video camera on the computer. When you move the camera, the viewfinder image changes. That same motion is what turns a still camera into a video camera. All you need is the software on your laptop to see the video feed from your camera.

Can the IPAD be used as a monitor to view photos from Camera?

I do a lot of underwater photos and video. I would like to use use the IPAD to review the days shoot while on the boat, in the hotel or on the plane. I would rather not download all of the photos to the IPAD--although I do have the Lightning to SD card. Is there any way to simply view photos and videos from my camera or the SD card without downloading? You can do that on a TV--why not on an IPAD?

I believe you can do that. When you first plug in the SD card using the Camera Connection Kit, I believe you will see on the iPad all the photos on that SD card. You will have an option to import them, or a selected subset of photos. Just stop there and don't do the import. Would that solve your problem?

How can you make what you have set up in 3D to happen in the comp using your custom view actually happen in the active camera view??

I do not know. You just start experimenting. But check the online help system first, look for everything you can find on the ortho views and custom views. The immediate issue with trying to position the camera manually is mimicking the lens and zoom parameters. The custom views do not have any lens characteristics.
Looking at the fist custom view, it look like a simple 45 degrees out and 45 degrees up. Those are going to be geometric calculations, easily performed based on pixels. You could us e a null object in the center of your comp and use it as the Point of Interest for you camera.

IPhone 4s crashes in 7.1 when trying to view photo from camera

My iphone crashes every time I try to view a photo after taking it in the camera app. It goes to a blurred screen and just hangs, the only way to get out of it is to hold the top button for several seconds and the phone reboots after several minutes. This iphone is an att 4s 16gb running iOS 7.1. It takes photos fine, and I can view them I the photo app, so this is really more of an annoyance than anything, but I was hoping someone might have an idea how to fix this?
