Viewing past days in the Health app?

I like to check how many steps I take each day, but if I forget to check before midnight, I lose that data. I can't figure a way to go back and read previous day's step totals. It's so frustrating. I can see weekly averages, which I don't care about. Why isn't there a simple calendar view where you can select any day and see that day's total information? Does that just make too much sense? So if I forget to check on a given day, that information is gone forever.

If you set up renditions properly, only one rendition should appear in the library. In the set of renditions, make sure that the Folio Name, Publication Date, and Product ID values are identical. In a public Newsstand app, publish the folios around the same time, and when they're done, send the push notification.

  • See past days activity on Health app?

On the new Health app in ios8 how can I see the activity or steps for past days?  Thanks

    Hello victormiguel,
When comparing the iPhone models, the difference is that the iPhone 5c does not have a motion coprocessor. That is what tracks your steps and any other motion that is recorded. To answer your question, the iPhone 5c will not track that information without the assistance of other devices that would then sync up with the Health app.

  • How can I see the exact step count from previous days in the Health app?

I know I can select the "week" or "month" tab to get a general idea of how many steps I have taken in previous days, but I can't find any way to actually get the exact number of steps logged for previous days.  Is there a way???

    Yes, you can ..

  • The Health app in iOS 8?

I have used this app with varying results since receiving my iPhone 6+.  Hopefully, it is still in its infancy and will improve.  One question, among many, here's how it measures and records "flight climbed". I am up and down stairs practically all day, as I lived in a two-story house.  It has yet to register more than one flight climb.  How does this work?  I see no selection to turn in either on or off.  Has anyone else had similar issues with this or other parts of the Health app.

The information collected in encrypted on your iPhone and Apple cannot use it or view it. If you back up to iCloud it is required that the backup is encrypted as well.

  • How do i delete or remove the Tips app and the health app that apple added to my phone on the last update 8.0.2?

How do i remove the Tips app and the Health app that apple added to my iphone on the last update? Update 8.0.2? I didn't want these added to my phone. I have to remove apps every time there is an update. After the phone is updated I reinstall the apps I removed. After 8.0,2 there was not enough room for me to reinstall my apps because they added the Tips app and the health app. How do I remove them? When you hold your figure on the apps they added, X's pop up on all of the apps i've installed, but not on the ones that come on the iPhone and the ones that they added on this last update. Please help.

They force you to buy health insurance these days and now apple forces you to keep spyware apps on your phone.
Oh, knock off the fearmongering. None of those apps are spyware. Health stores all of its data on the phone. It will only back it up to your computer if you do an encrypted back up. The only data it collects on its own are steps, stairs and distance traveled. Anything else in it is information you've explicity authorized it to collect from anothr app you've installed. You're not required to put anything in Passbook, Podcasts, iBooks or Newstand.

  • Is anyone having problems with the Health App and Withings?

After upgrading to ios 8.1 I am still having a problem getting my Withings Health Mate data to correctly update my Healt Dashboard. The information that does show up on the different Dashboard widgets is way off. For example, I today walked 2400 steps according to Withings, but the Health Dashboard shows 10,700 steps (720,000 in smaller print on another line). It further shows my daily average at 313,000 steps! Ridiculous.
Walking/Running distance for the days shows 22.5 miles with a daily average of 108 miles.....I'm not Barry Allen/The Flash.

My problems with the Healt App are all over the map. The information on Withings Health Mate is totally accurate, and updates immediately.  I have their scale (since 2011) and wireless blood pressure monitor. Also, I find the heart rate senson on the iPhone 6 to work well, every time.
This issue for me is with Apple's Health app. I get ridiculous readings on the Dashboards. For example, it shows my daily average in steps as 170,688, and miles walked at 80. Hardly! Additionally, the Dashbord widgets will disappear/reappear for no reason. I have tried switching the priority of data sources for the steps dashboard between Withings and my iPhone 6 (because it is indicated that the top source governs the dashboard info), to no avail.
Lastly, I don't know how to interpret the infomration on the individual dashboards. On the same line as the word "Steps" there is a number, i.e. 14,272 steps, and just under it the word "Today." However, when I switch from "Day," "Week,," "Month," and "Year," those number don't change. Below the word Today is a number (which changes all the time), and at the bottom of the widget, just above the month (October now) is the number 1,149,749. Nice.
I would like to get the Apple Watch next year, but if the Health App cannot be fixed I may not.

  • How do i track how many steps I walk on the health app?

How do I track how steps walked in a day on my iphone in the Health app?

Open Health app, tap Health Data at bottom, tap Fitness, tap Steps.
Turn on "Show on Dashboard" for more convenient access (and then just tap Dashboard at the bottom)

  • Instructions for the Health app

Where are the instructions for the Health App?

The Health dashboard suddenly becoming blank is due to a bug in 8.0.2 Health App.
Many people have found success in getting the data display back by turning the phone off / on again, however the problem will return eventually.
I have had this issue occur several times already. I have found that when this problem occurs, it can be ignored as MyFitnessPal is still collecting data.
The next day when I open Health, in my experience, the dashboard is empty but all of the data (charts, etc) is there. I just have to re-select my dashboard items.
I'm hoping 8.1 will resolve a lot of these nagging bugs in iOS 8.

  • How do you fix the Health App from crashing?

If you put too many steps in the Health App, the Health App crashes and won't let you get back in it. How do you reset it, or fix it?

The Health app is a default app and cannot be deleted. Most of the data the Health app collects and stores is dependent on a third party app. If you don't install the third party app the Health app will not show that data. For those things that the Health app can collect, such as Steps, distance walked, etc., you can choose to not show those on the dashboard Of the Health app. Tap on an item in the Dashboard such as the Walking + Running Distance then turn off Show on Dashboard. I place all the apps I rarely use or never use in a folder called Seldom used. I place that folder on my last Home screen all by itself so I rarely even see the folder.

  • How can I change the settings in the Health App from Imperial to metric - eg to metres and kilos ?

How can I change the settings in the Health App from Imperial to metric - eg to metres and kilos ?

We may have to wait for an update.  Aside from changing the country, I'm not sucre this can be done.  There is no Health App in the System preferences and no  way to modify from within the app.  Weird.
If you go to Language & Region under general settings and choose any other country, you will get Metric.  I have the opposite problem.  I live in a Metric country and want my health app to be in lbs and inches which is what I am used to.

  • Do I have to use another fitness app in order for the new health app to track my fitness? Or does the health app have its own gps tracking? It's not working for me.

I have the iphone 6 ios 8.0.2. The health app hasn't worked for me yet. I have pinned things to my dashboard but it isn't updating anything. I curious to know if I need a third party app in order for it to track? Or if it is supposed to be tracking?

The iPhone 6 has a built in M8 coprocessor that tracks steps. Start with the manual:

    p. 120.

  • Since I upgraded to 8.03 the health app stopped working

has anybody else had problems with the health app.  When I mark items to appear on dashboard it ignores the option.  This used to be such a helpful app now it doesn't work at all.

Thanks for your help.  I have upgraded to 8.1.3 and it still doesn't work.  When I choose an item with the slider to appear on the dashboard it ignores the choice and doesn't recognise the slider.  Perhaps I shall have to wait for the next upgrade.

  • How to you stop the health app running in the background?

How to you stop the new Health App from running in the background? Its its always running collecting data on how many steps I have taken and how far I have walked.. I walked 12000 steps and travelled 4.1km DRIVING my kids to school this morning according to the app.

I never intend to use the health app because I do not need an app on my phone to help me live a healthy lifestyle.  Therefore I find it intrusive there is no way to stop it from tracking my steps or whatever else it may be doing.  I found a way to force the app to crash and maybe this will stop it from running in the background.  Open the app, tap "Health Data" at the bottom of the screen, tap "Fitness" then "Steps" and tap "Add Data" type in a huge number - a very huge number with 30 or more characters, you can even add more than 1 decimal point.  Repeat this for "walking + Running Distance".  From this point forward the app will crash when you try to look at the data.  Maye this prevents it from recording new data, I'm not sure but I really like the fact the app crashes.  Hopefully Apple will add a feature to allow us to turn off data collection altogether or even better, allow us to delete this app.
