Viewing Photos - The Problem is Back

Just looked at some of my photos and they are fuzzy and unclear like a couple years ago. Same problem again. anyone else having this issue?

My 4-year old AirPort Extreme intermittently drops out (no signal to my iMac Book). The laptop shows reception of other nearby Wi-Fi transmitters, but not mine. I have changed the bands, but the problem comes back. Transmitter problem or interference?

Let me see if I can suggest a strategy.
I have talked with my ISP and he said that I am not the only one with an Airport Extreme with the same issue. He said to try to write the DNS direclty, rather than using the Auto settings - still nothing works.
What modem do you have and what sort of broadband?
What mode is the AE in.. router or bridge?
I have an Airport Express from 2010. Since about a month and definetly since yesterday, I cannot connect any device via Wifi to it although LAN connection works correctly.
Is this express or extreme.. the rest of the post you refer to extreme.
What is the actual model number of the AE? A1xxx from the base or the part number MCxxx from the box.
If the AE is bridge.. I want you to try a different method.. put it in router mode.. don't worry about double NAT but ensure the IP range of the modem /router is different to the AE.. so if one is 192.168.x.x then the AE on default at 10.x.x.x is fine.. if the main router is 10.x then move the AE to 192.168.x.x
Make sure the guest wireless is off.
Using a 5.6 utility on your 10.6.8 OS mini go to the log and see if the wireless is registering..
You should see lists of wireless connection like..
Post as many screenshots of the setup as you can.. it helps loads.
IPv6 is starting to become a pain.. try it off and try local link and try auto.. in the computer.

The results show that you have a proxy server set and this can often cause problems with iTunes.
The proxy setting can be accessed in Internet options>>Connections>>LAN Settings.
Try un-checking the proxy server check box.
It might also be a good idea to run a malware check if you didn't know you had the proxy server set.

Simple viewer photo gallery problems

I used SimpleViewer to created a photo gallery in Photoshop and followed instructions on the simpleviewer site to put the gallery on a page in my under-construction site. The gallery doesnt show... I do get an icon, but no photo gallery, also when "previewed in browser" (ie) i get nothing... I checked flash player and java settings and there doesn't seem to be anything preventing the gallery from working, any suggestions? Do pages containing a gallery like that need to be set up differently initally? Appreciate the help, oh great ones!

if you loaded the flash in DW, it adds the script needed to view but may not put it where you think. check that AC_RunActiveContent.js is in your head tag and the script is on the server. you may need to change the link to within your root folder.

TS5376 iTunes once again won't close. Past versions of iTunes had the most annoying behavior that when ever closed it would immediately reopen. Apple update just installed the latest version and the problem is back. Help.

Past versions of iTunes for Windows had the annoying behavior that it couldn't be closed. If I tried to exit or close the window iTunes would just open back up again. It had gone away, but apple just installed version 11.1.5.5 and it's back! The only way to exit is to open task manager and kill the process. Nothing else seems to work. Guess what Apple, I really don't want to have iTunes open all the time. I think the only answer is to stop using iTunes, since I don't have any Apple devices anyway, and go with a different music player on my PC.

Just in case, we'd better check on another old potential culprit (don't see it reported much lately, though) ... do you have any Logitech gaming software installed on the PC?

Firefox is already actif but does not respond. and even after changing the default properties the problem comes back (Read-only)

I stop the proces via Task management and then I can start Firefox again. I close it and the "Red-only" option is back again.

Perform SMC reset
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
Note: The LED on the MagSafe power adapter may change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.

I have some users that have this problem. When they click on any views in the treeview, the page reload and they are back to the inbox views.
The problem happens only one one their computer. If i log with her account on my computer, it works.
Already tried to disabled/enabled the participant = Works for some users
delete the Internet explorer cache, tempory files and .... = Nothing works
Somebody have got this problem before?

I have problems viewing photos in blogs using Blogger

I have a couple of blogs that I frequent and lately (within the last month or so), I am having trouble viewing photos the bloggers have posted. Sometimes the first photo will seem to load, but by the time the entire page has loaded, where there is a photo, all I can see if a small rectangle. These are bloggers who are using Blogspot/Blogger. No one else seems to be having a similar problem.
I have Firefox 3.6.13.
I have tried all the recommended things, clear cache, cookies etc. and I still can't see the photos.

Tried all of the suggestions and it seems not to be due to an extension or theme.
The problem only seems to occur on blogs at the *.blogspot.com address, who are using Blogger software.
I wonder if there is some incompatibility between a recent version of Blogger and Firefox?? I have tried contacting Blogger, to see if there are problems, with no success, although I have found 2-year-old posts on the Web indicating some problems at that time -- nothing recent though and no suggested fix.
Any ideas?

Is there a way for GPS coordinates to override a 'places' tag when viewing photos on the map?

I like to have 'places' tags for all of my photos in Elements Organizer so I can filter photos without the map view. The problem is that some of my photos already have GPS information from my camera. When I tag a photo that has EXIF geo data with a 'places' tag, it moves the photo on the map to the less specific lat/long of the tag and no longer uses the lat/long of the photo itself. I would like to use the data EXIF data from the photo, if it exists, rather than the lat/long from the places tag.
Alternately, it would be cool if Elements would auto-create places tags based on the lat/long from a photos EXIF data. That would also solve my conflict between places tags and EXIF data from the photo.
Any ideas? Am I out of luck?

Why don't you just put a passcode lock on the phone so no-one else can use it when you're not around?
You can look at the history in Safari, but that won't prevent someone from clearing the history and cookies after they use it.

First try a restore from backup
If problem still occurs try a restore to factory defaults/new Pod.
If still occurs likely a hardware problem and an appoitment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Why won't my computer give me permission to view photos in preview

Ever since I upgraded my OS i've been gettin an error message when I try to open pictures that says "The file “IMG_1234.JPG” couldn’t be opened because you don’t have permission to view it." Any help or suggestions?

Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box marked Allow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.

IPad 2 Photo-stream problem

Both my wife and myself have iPhones also a mac at home and now an iPad2. We have photostream set up on all devices and they all share photos with the same account with no problems. I do this because any photos i wish to keep i then drag straight over to Aperture on my iMac. The problem is the iPad 2 is not displaying the photos, i take a picture on the ipad it goes into camera roll but not photostream. A few seconds after, the picture turns up on all other devices as it should do. If i reset the ipad2 or turn and delete the account then enter details again the pictures from all devices turn up again in photostream but as soon as you go out of photos and then back into it they have all disaperead. All account info is correct passwords etc but it just will not display.

Tried that and did not fix, however after messing about found the problem its a software bug i hopefully will explain. The icloud streams to the iPad, iMac and two iphones using one account at [email protected] My wife also has iMessage setup using her personal email address that is her apple Id also, we turned iMessage off and for some reson it now all works perfectly. There is something in there with accounts that will cause the bug, i did switch imessage back on and again the problem come back. Many thanks for your help Carolyn have a happy new year.
