Viewing photos using DLO HomeDock for iPod

I just purchased an iPod 60G and am trying to view photos on my tv using the DLO HomeDock for iPod. I am able to get the audio to come through the tv but cannot view photos or video. I have the AV cables hooked up correctly and even have an S-Video cable hooked in. Does anyone have any insight as to why I can't view my photos? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just received in these days my DLO HomeDock Deluxe and was very happy with it. Before I have had the Apple A/V-Kit and was disappointed to see no menu on the TV screen.
So the HomeDock works fine and I have been very happy with it, but only for some days.
I have installed the new iTunes 7.0 and with this comes an update for the iPod Video to system version 1.2 - and afterwards the sound output doesn´t work anymore !!!!
I have tried everything. Reset on iPod, reset on HomeDock. Various settings - NOTHING!!!
The video output works very fine, I have the menu, everything OK, but NO MUSIC.
I asked the support of DLO but no answer to my email...
Please help, no music in here :-(((

Hi, I have the Logic3 Universal Dock, using S-Video and stereo line out for Photos and Videos with sound to my TV, which works well.
BUT NO MUSIC when I want to play just music through the TV! Is this a software issue? You say you used to be able to hear music through your TV. Apple please help here! Thanks.

IPhoto nightmare. Tried to import photos using Nikon software for the first time and all my photos disappeared from iPhoto 8.1.2 (and everything from itunes too). Newly reinstalled iPhoto crashes as soon as I import anything now.

Macbook OSX 10.5.8, iPhoto 8.1.2. I just tried to import some photos using Nikon software (View NX2) for the first time. When I next looked into iPhoto it was empty (so was iTunes but that's another story). I had backed up photos fairly recently but don't use time machine. Searched in vain everywhere and must have done something wrong because iPhoto wouldn't then open at all, saying it was unreadable. After a lot more attempts to recover I uninstalled iPhoto and the receipts and reinstalled from my original disc. It seemed to be ok and imported some photos from my iphone but as soon as the import is complete iPhoto crashes and when opened again it is empty. Have tried this several times and have shut down and have tried rebuilding with the alt and cmd buttons but nothing seems to help. Any ideas?

not a reply but not sure how to add something to my own thread! It seems that Desktop was damaged too as when I try to open it a screen says there is no application selected to open Desktop with. No idea what I should choose! Any help appreciated, have really made a mess of my MacBook this time.

How do i filter the records in analytic view by using variable/parameter for a time range

i have a analytic view which has a output column as date type. i want the user who use this view have the control to decided the output records based on a time range (from x to y).
i tried to create 2 variables, 1 for start_time, 1 for end_time. Ideally, i should have a expression for filtering data like this:
$$start_time <= date_column <= $$end_time
However, the variable windows doesn't seem to be feasible for the expression as above.
Does anyone has the same problem and get it solved?

just figured out by my own. So the answer is using "variable" with "range" option.
Making a variable, then set the "selection type" to "range".
When preview the data, the variable input window pops up with operator on default "equal", use dropdown list to swtich it to "between", then you can enter the start_time and end_time as a range filter.

This seems to be a problem with the sandboxing in Mt. Lion. I do not know of any work-around so far, other than falling back on Mail.app, sorry.

Help with using two computers for iPod

So, as the title hints to, I use two different computers for my day to day activities and have now run into a big hiccup.
-I have, currently on my iPod about 475 songs. All were painstakingly loaded from their CD's onto the little devil. I did this at work in spare time (OK maybe not, but that's not wehat we're here about)
-Today I tried connecting to load some new songs, from my home machine, onto the iPod and it says it will erase all of my previous work.
-I did some browsing here and discovered things like Pod Soft or whatever but could none of those programs to work for me. I also attempted the shift/ctrl trick which failed as well.
-Am I hooped? Do I just face facts and use only one machine for this? What happens when I trade a computer? Actually, in the meantime I am not worried about that, I just want my new tunes on the iPod. I am feeling quite limited by this and understood it would be a much easier process.

Well Ive only used DVD Decrypter to extract movies from the DVDs I own...then I use Videora iPod converter to convert them to the proper format ( mp4 ) and then transfer them to the ipod using iTunes...

How to use stero bluetooth for ipod in iphone?

I have a Dodge vehicle with Uconnect. Before the 3.0 update my phone was paired with the Uconnect system and anytime I was in the vehicle calls would work bluetooth through the car stero. This still works fine, but I can't figure out how to get the ipod to play through the stero system. If the Uconnect is bluethooth and the phone feature works why not the ipod. Is there something you have to do to have the ipod output go bluetooth? Please help!

How to view changes using SVN plugin for SQL developer

We recently moved to SVN. I have checked out the PL/SQL code from the SVN server to my local C Drive. But after I have made changes to couple of PL/SQL files, I am not able to figure out how to see my changes and compare with the checked out version (for example, like we have CVS diff option). I searched through the options but could not find any suitable option.
Can someone point or help how to do this ?
I want to check my changes before committing to the main trunk

HT2729 Use videos converted for iPod Nano 5G for iPod Touch 4G?

I have an iTunes library full of videos that work with my iPod Nano 5th generation. I was thinking if they would work with an iPod Touch 4th generation, which I have researched and seems that it would not need any converting, but what about the difference in screen size?

QuickTime Movie Files Won't Convert For iPod using iTunes and QuickTime Pro

I've got a ton, and I mean a ton of QuickTime movie files of music videos that I want to convert to use on the iPod. I tried using "Convert Selection For iPod" in the Advanced Menu on iTunes, but got the following message trying convert a QuickTime file of U2's Beautiful Day:
""Beautiful Day" could not be converted because this file does not allow for saving or conversion."
I purchased QuickTime Pro hoping that the features on Pro would convert the file. When I opened the same file to convert using QuickTime Pro, "Export" under the file menu was grayed out so I couldn't select it.
You'd think that an APPLE QuickTime Movie file that can be played on APPLE'S iTunes and APPLE'S QuickTime Player would be able to be converted to be used in APPLE'S iPod player. (Anybody notice how APPLE is capitalized to point out that the the hardware, software and file formats are ALL Apple?)
Instead I wasted money buying QuickTime Pro when it won't do what I specifically bought it for. Now I have all these QuickTime files which won't play on the iPod.
Can anybody provide some help or assistance on how to accomplish what I'm trying to accomplish???

If the file doesn't allow saving or conversions then it is protected by DRM (Fairplay).
Nothing can help QuickTime Pro convert protected files.

3. I create a view link to create master-detail relationship for these 2 view objects.
masterview.SourceBlock (1)->detailview.SourceBlock (*).
4. I create a tree table using these 2 view objects with master-detail relationship.
When I set default value for variable bindings of these 2 view objects and the matching records exist, tree table can work well. I can expand the master row to display detail row in UI.
But I need to pass in dymamic parameter value for variable bindings of these 2 view objects, tree table cannnot work again. when I expand the master row and no detail row are displayed in UI.
I am sure that I pass in correct parameter value for master/detail view objects and matching records exist.

5. What's wrong in my implementation? I don't have no problem to implement such a tree table if using simple master-detail tables view object, but now I have to use such 2 view objects using complex SQL for my requirement and variable bindings are necessary for detail view object although I also think a bit strange by myself.

How to switch which program to view photos with?

I have a Droid Razr. From the camera program when I click on photo in the upper right hand corner to view my gallery, it appears the gallery is opening with google photos instead of gallery. The google photos app dims the back lighting on the photos making it difficult to view. I would like to switch back to viewing photos using gallery, but can't figure out how to switch back to that program by default.

I spent several hours on the phone with VZW last night for this very issue. They had no idea how to fix it.
Ann154 is correct. However, I have a Galaxy Nexus, and for me, I went to Settings>Apps and cleared the defaults for the
Google+ app and that is what resolved the issue for me. Just trying to help get the word out for anyone else who may be as
frustrated as I was.

Capturing for ipod format

I know all about the ipod setting in FCP but is there a way to capture video at an ipod size (320x240) and quality so file sizes can be as small as possible???
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Some elements of the workflow are possible - capturing 320x240 H.264 (data rate limited to 700k) files, for instance - but there are some issues that make the whole thing worthless:
While you can capture video at the right settings, you cannot capture (or, indeed, work with) audio as anything other than AIFF in FCP. So you'd still need to convert/recompress your complete video & audio file at some stage in the game.
You still need to use the Export for iPod settings (either in FCP, QT Pro or Compressor 2.1) for the metadata to be written correctly. Otherwise, even though your file is the correct dimensions, codec, and data rate, it will not transfer over to the iPod without conversion via iTunes.

Can I view photos and movies from my external hard drive? I used Time Machine and a WD Passport for backup. Since my drive on my MacBook Pro is filling up I was planning to delete some of the movies and photos.
