Viewing picture from a Sony CD Mavica MVC-CD200 camera???

I am trying, without success, to download picture from a Sony CD Mavica MVC-CD200 camera. My computer doesn't seem to recognize the USB driver. I download the driver from the Sony Web site. I have Window 2000 and lots of memory.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have Sony CD Mavica 350 model. I would like to clarify that with these types of Camera you have to first burn the Images on the CD and then only they will be shown if you connect the camera to the machine. burning the Images is termed as "Finalization" in the booklet which comes with the camera.
So basically first you have to finalize the CD then if you will connect the Camera to Machine then it will be listed through PTP mode. This mode is similar to WIA and images can be seen in PSA SE then.

Taking better pictures on an HX9v isn't something you can just 'do'. It takes learning and creativity.
Understanding how the camera works, and having a good imagination to use it.
Look at phone cameras for example, amazing photos.
If you're talking about image quality, that is, less noise, crisp sharp photos, etc, compact cameras in general just won't match the DSLR.
If you're talking about photos that look stunning, again, learn how to use the camera, and be imaginative (creative)

One thing I'm definitely lacking on there is composition, and that's something you can learn on YouTube - compositions in a photo is very important when you're first starting out.
Put your 9v onto M (manual) mode, and try out the different things - learn how the camera works, think about what you want to shoot, and then do it.

I checked and it does not appear in the Applications folder.
I tried yesterday on an ethernet connection with a download speed of 2 Mbps but, unfortunately the connection died(It happened from the ISP end, which is out of my control) in between after which there was no trace of the download that happened for so long(till the internet connection death).
One more serious query which I am unable to understand. If the internet connection, dies in the midst of the download is in progress why is it so that the state does not persist and one has to restart the entire process again. Is there no solution for this?
I tried so many times and its the same case after some amount of download it vanishes. So many unsuccessful attempts. I am ****** off now. Is it not possible to see Mavericks? Why does different machines of Apple behave differently? Somewhere it goes smoothly and somewhere like my mine. Why did not Apple release a non apple store version? Is this not a bad sign of letting the users struggle when something is being offered for free?
The reason I asked as whether we can download the .app of Mavericks is that, there are so many applications that I have downloaded web and have installed. All that works fine. Can't we do the same here? You download a copy of Mavericks installer application and upload it for me in Google drive or like online storage places which can be downloaded and used by me? Help me understand.

I have a Macbook pro with Snow Lepoard and I have 2 digital cameras, one uses an SD card (not a sony) and I uploaded those pictures with ease. I am having trouble uploading my pictures from my sony memory stick, and have used the adapter and still the SD card slot does not let it in, or does not read it.
I am doing something wrong or are sony pictures just not compatible with a mac

You have an SD card slot adapter that takes Memory Sticks?
I would recommend getting a USB card reader for the job. It seems to me that there are at least two generations of Memory Sticks - make sure the adapter you have supports the Memory Stick generation you have.

Photo Stream does not do videos. For videos, you must import to your computer. You can use iPhoto to import them.

There are a couple options. First, you can choose Edit -> Select All and open all the images in Preview. Then you can navigate between images in Preview. Another option is to choose one image and press the space bar to open Quicklook, then press the up or down arrows to move between images.

Is there an alternative to view Pictures from Aperture "Projects"/Folders

I am considering the purchase of a new ATV to display pictures from my Aperture library on the HD TV.
1)
Is there a way to view the pictures using the full 1080 HD capacity of the TV or will this always be limited to 720 no matter what I do? It is not bad at 720 on a 42 inch screen, but I would like to maximise the resolution especially as we now have a 46" screen. If not, is there an alternative to ATV (to view Aperture Library - don;t want to mess around with exporting etc if I can avoid this).
2) If I connect a HDD to the USB port, can I then Synchronise Aperture pictures to the ATV HDD as I used to with my old ATV (as an option to view pictures and other stuff without the Computer connected)?
Any other words of wisdom? Is the MAC mini an option (without a computer screen - i.e. a replacement for the ATV). If so would it give 1080 through HDMI cable and would it allow the ATV remote to use it and be seen by iTunes as a device to synch with?
(We don't have our old kit anymore in case anyone was wondering)

AppleTV 2 only outputs 720p - whether this is a hardware or software limitation I don't know.
Apple might be able to address this in a future update, but if it was capable overall I think it would have been an option from the start.

No the USB port is for restoring via iTunes only - you can't officially connect a drive to it. AppleTV2 also only has 8GB os solid state storage shared between all functions.
MacMini is certainly capable of outputting 1080p over HDMI. I have last year's model hooked up to a 1080p TV though more often than not the HDMI lead is disconnected in favour of another device and i manage it remotely.
With Home Sharing you could easily transfer content to Mac Mini from another computer running iTunes.
Remote should work with Mini, but not sure what app you'd be controlling for the slideshows or whether they'd respond to the remote.

I do not think there will be any way to revert back to an earlier system.
The "current" problem with some cameras and card adapters resulted from Apple changing the amount of current available to USB devices, apparently to prevent them from running down the iPad's battery. It appeared when the iOS was updated from 3 to 4. On my iPad 2, I find that a little bit more current is available now under iOS 5.
One way to get around the problem is by using a powered USB hub. Another is to remove the card from the camera and use the SD adapter from the Camera Connection Kit. If your Sony used a CF card, then you will need to find a CF-to-USB adapter that does not draw too much current. I have one that works, but also have a couple that do not.

If the DVD contains a collection of image files that you can access with Finder, then just create a selection of those that you want to see and press Option-SpaceBar. That should create a full-screen slideshow.

Seems I saw something about having 2 Projects open at once, but can't remember how. Is there any other way to do this picture comparison. I would like them both on my 2nd monitor.

while you can show two projects side by side (select the first project and then option-click the second project), you can not display 2 images (one from project 1 and another from project 2) on your secondary screen for side-by-side comparison. the viewer (and secondary monitor) are always linked to the active project.
instead of showing two projects side by side (with "option"), you can also open several projects in tabs (selecting them with holding "command").

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive (works the same with an SD card) into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

I have all Sony cameras and am not able to transfer any of my pics to my iPad or apple desk top. Am ready to buy a pc just to be able to view my pics. Any input would be appreciated.
The camera connection kit does not accept the duo stick.

Hooking the camera up directly will probably be your best bet. There are some card readers out there that work, I have one, but it's an older no longer made model so it takes hit and miss to find a reader that doesn't draw more power than the ipad is willing to give out.

But heavy on the might. A 2011 software upgrade limited the amount of power allocated to the iPad's port, making devices harder to find. All I can suggest if you experiment make sure there's a good return policy so you're not wasting money.
