Viewing & Posting larger movies

Does anyone know of a way (or template) in iweb (09) that allows you to post larger viewable movies on web pages, streaming or otherwise? I know once you drag & drop a larger movie file, you're prompted by a warning that says loading times will be slower with any movie over 10mb. And even if you do, the movie itself remains small. Any ideas?

Another idea is, if you subscribe to MobileMe you can use iWeb's +MobileMe Gallery+ widget to embed a link to your videos published from iMovie. Click here for a video tutorial and here's a sample video on Apple's demo Gallery:

With both the above ideas, your videos are separate from your iWeb site so publishing/upload times are shorter. Also viewers will be able to click a fullscreen icon.

How do I handle a large movie file?

My wife created a DVD using iDVD containing both slide shows and a couple of movies. The movies play fine in Preview mode, but not on the burned DVD. I read the help files for iDVD and they said that movie files larger than 1GB may not play correctly, and indeed, the files in question are larger.
My question: If we update to a newer version of iDVD is this problem (or limit, I guess) solved?
Is there a way to break up a large movie file into smaller ones, but still have iDVD play them sequentially? (And with only one menu item on the main menu?)

I have never heard that large movie files may not play correctly. I have filled up many a DVD without experiencing this problem.
Now on splitting the movie up. Since the movie is already in iMovie, you just need to do a Edit>Split at Playhead to chop up the clip. As long as you don't put anything between the adjacent clips, they will play seemlessly when viewed on the DVD. You will not notice that they were split at all.

Posting a movie file other than Quicktime

I have a couple of QuickTime movies on my site that work really well for people who own macs, however there are many people logging onto our site with a pc. The PC users are unable to view the QuickTime movies and many of them are unwilling to download and use QuickTime software. My question is: Is there an alternate file type that I can use to post my movies that will work universally for mac and pc users without sacrificing the audio/video quality that QT offers? Do mp4s work?

iWeb writes page code that only uses QuickTime. You would have to hand edit the html page and javascript page code to use Flash or WMP formats.
The Windows users that have trouble need only download and install the free QuickTime software to view your files.

Sharing Large Movie to Media Browser

I am trying to share my I movie to Media Browser. I clicked on large format and the computer processes the movie, however when complete the movie does not show up in IDVD media browser? Any suggestions?

You can locate the movie in the movie's package contents. In Finder column view, click on your user folder Movies then iMovie Projects. Right-click (Control-click) on the name of your movie, then click on the item "Show Package Contents". Now click on the Movies folder to reveal the exported movie. A Large movie will be named "large.m4v", while a HD export will be named "720p.mov".
The movies can be dragged into the background of an iDVD Theme in the usual way. I also copy them to an external portable hard drive which I then connect to my Western Digital Live TV HD Media Player for viewing through an LCD widescreen TV. I get excellent results with both iDVD and the Media Player using Share to Media Browser at either Large (960 x 540) or HD (720p).

Besides these problems, there is the battery, which was bad got worse, she is not lasting more than 10 hours, even without using the phone.

after perusing other subjects with playback issues:
this is the fix:
-Launch Control Panel - Double click Quicktime, If you do not see quicktime, look on the top left side of control panel and switch to classic view. This will then allow you to see Quicktime.
-Now click the advanced tab and click on Safe Mode GDI Only, Apply, then ok.

Error at posting 101 movement

This should probably be an warning message and not an error message
Pls check and confirm as it sayds that system has adjusted the future date with the dc. date.
If the period is not open then u may have to open the posting period for the said month in MMPI.

Quit the app and restart the iPad.
In order to quit or close apps - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Try the videos app again.

I have a Panasonic FZ38 HD camera. I can load and view my hd movies onto iMovie with no problems via my camera or a card reader. When I try to copy my hd videos from my old Windows pc to my new iMac, the picture speed has doubled but the sound is normal.

I have a Panasonic DMC-FZ38 HD camera and have lots of hd movie clips stored on my old Windows Pc using Photofun software supplied by Panasonic, which I want to transfer to my new Imac computer. I am able to copy my most recent movies that are still on the memory card from my camera onto Imovie and view them with no problems at all. When it comes to copying my old existing hd movies stored on my Windows Pc (and which are no longer stored on a memory card), I discover that when I view them on the Imovie, the speed has doubled but the sound is normal. In order to transfer my old movies I have copied them back onto a memory card (SDHC - the same card as previously used) and then put the card back into my camera and then copied them onto my Imac via the camera USB. I have also used a card reader but get the same result. If I view the same movie through my camera, or look at it on my old pc, it plays at normal speed. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening please?

iM is a bit.. iffy, when it comes to the definition, what a 'camera' is. historically, only tape based machines were a movie-camera. nowadays still-cams allow movin' images too..
but, as mentioned above: the intended workflow is: material from photo cameras (even when they move) => import via iPhoto; material from video cameras (even when they don't move.. ) => iMovie
when the import is done, you'll notice in all iLife apps the 'media browser' - in iM09, on the very right, the icon with a camera on.. click it, presto, all (incl. your 'videos') your iPhoto Library at hand for usage in iMovie.

Transfer posting with Mov Type 311E in MIGO with reference to SC-PO

Hi,
I am working with MTO scenario.
I want to carry out transfer posting of material with movement type 311E against subcontracting Purchase Order which is sale order specific.
However, system does not allow me to do the same. whenever transfer posting, PO & movement type is selected in transaction MIGO, item details entry tabs are displayed blank.
Below steps are being follow:
Scenario is MTO ( special stock subcontracting)
1. Subcontracting PO no. 4500000147 against Sale Order no 61 created.
2. RM code - 61, available stock 100 TO & batch no.0000000127
3. Transfer material to vendor for processing through MIGO ( since it is a special sales order stock, transferring happens from SL 0001- Main Stores to SL VLSC -Virtual storage location) using movement type 311 E
5. Item Data details tabs are blank.---This is the issue / error.
Note: I am restricted to post transfer posting through MIGO-Transfer Posting (will not use MB1B) due to some enhancement of MIGO and interfaces with legacy system.

I am getting following error while doing Transfer posting for movement type 303 thru BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE
Error in Function:
Order    not found or not permitted for Goods Movement.
I am passiing all mandatory parameter for it as per BAPI Documentaion in tcode BAPI
Transfer posting
Transfer posting without reference to a reservation
The following fields must be populated:
Material number
Plant
Storage location
Movement type
Movement indicator
Quantity in unit of entry
ISO code unit of measurement for unit of entry
If I am doing manually by MB1B tcode, it is successfully done.......here its not asking any ORDER No...

I'm not sure what you're system set up is...   So I'd suggest looking at everything you enter on the screen and then checking to make sure you are passing all the information in the BAPI.
With that said our system does require posting date, and batch. You might check that.   Also check that you've included all the required information in the header.
Did you use the same data when you tried to process the BAPI that you used when you tried to do MB1B manually?

Lecture Poster Large/Not printing correctly

I selected Lecture Poster Large. I replaced all the photos using Aperture. The large photo at the bottom was also replaced by dragging in a photo from Aperture.
I was very happy with the result. The photo preview looks exactly like the project. But when I print I see only the large photo. Shouldn't a project print like the preview? Why are the photos on top and the text not printing?
I'm printing to a RICOH Aficio SP color printer. I've never had this issue before.

OK, so I'm going to answer my own question.
I chose the small version, and it worked.
