Viewing purchased iTune movies problem.

Why is iTunes is now not playing half of my iTune movies.

I'm having the exact same problem. I've restarted, reset, and restored. Restarted the router. Same thing. No content shows up with music, and playing tv shows, or movies just loops me back to the title page. Netflix works. Hulu works. I can download, and play all content on the iPad. And the iPhone. Just not Apple TV.
It worked fine until last night as well... Very disappointed.

I have purchased itunes movies and TV programs that I want to delete from itunes permanently.  They were deleted until I purchased Apple TV.

    Hello filburt,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. The 2nd and 3rd generations of Apple TV do not have traditional storage. What you are seeing is the purchase history and it will stream from iTunes when you want to watch. It isn’t taking up space on your Apple TV

  • Purchased iTunes movies stop after 10 to 15 minutes.

Purchased iTune movies stop playing after 10 minutes and have to be restarted.

Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment.

  • How can I put my recently purchased iTunes movies on to my thumb drive and WD My Passport external hard drive. My Mac keeps saying "can't be copy because it is too large for the volumes format

How can I put my recently purchased iTunes movies onto my thumb drive and WD my passport external hard drive. My Mac is saying that can't be copied because it is too large for volumes format

[file] is too large for the volumes format
That is usually an indication that the Volume was never Erased or Partitioned for GUID partition table and Mac OS, and is still in a Windows format.
Mac OS X Extended (journaled) has no such file-size limitations

  • Is it safe to just store my purchased iTunes movies in the iTunes cloud rather than filling up my Macbook Pros hard drive?

Is it safe to just store my purchased Itunes movies in the Itunes cloud rather than filling up the Macbook Pro's hard drive with HD content?

Not safe, no. The movie's owner can remove a movie at any time, which does happen from time to time, making it impossible to re-download later. You should always keep a backup copy of any app or content that you care about.

  • How to access purchased iTunes movies/TV episodes without loading large amounts of data on devices

II have a quick question and I apologize if it has already been addressed in another forum & I had not found it yet (if so please link me to that forum) but I was looking for a way to stream movies and TV episodes that I have purchased on our iTunes account to our iOS devices for my 2 young boys while on a flight to Orlando and while there during a family trip to Disney, along with other different events like long car trips and the like. I was looking into one of the new storage devices coming out later in January of '13 called the Seagate Wireless Plus bit not sure if I was able to get my iTunes movies onto it so that I can stream from it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated on if this device would do the job and if not, any advice on other options.
    Thanks again!
    John

First I just want to say thank you for the suggestion.
There were no errors shown just stopped after several hours, also sleep is turned off. What I started doing is taking lets say approximately 6GB at a time and maybe doing this 4 or 5 times and after about 20 to 30 minutes it is done and I do this all over again.
I will run the disk utility like you suggested and try that again but give or take there are probably 2500 files that are 2+GB in size and then all of the music files we have collected is around 90GB total if not slightly higher.

  • Purchased itunes movie stops midway through operating

I purchased a movie from the itunes store and when i play it, it will stop half way through the movie. It says its playing, not paused. I have tried to start it from different points but if i start it in the later half it forces me back to the middle and won't play any further. i have restarted and it still does not work. I bought the **** thing for $14 and can't watch it or return it. Any help?

I can transfer and see rented movies when I sync my iphone, but purchased movies don't give the option of transferring at all, even efter sync-ing multiple times. It is in the itunes library, and it's viewable through my computer, but right-clicking on the purchased movie or trying to drag and drop onto the iphone is futile =/. There doesn't appear to be anything in the user guide that mentions purchased movies specifically, but rented movies are mentioned multiple times. Do I have to assume that purchased movies are not transferrable to the iphone? If so, that would pretty much stink.

  • HT204370 Watching purchased iTunes movies from iPad on iMac?

I purchased a movie through iTunes on my iPad (4th generation). Can I watch the movie on my iMac (OS X 10.9.4) too? If so How?

Depending upon what country that you are in (and if the film is still in the store) then you might be able to redownload it on your Mac's iTunes via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage. If not then connect your iPad to your Mac's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy it over.

  • How do I transfer a purchased iTunes movie to the cloud and free up the 5GB from my iPad?

I purchased a movie from iTunes using my iPad. How can I transfer that movie to the cloud and free up the 5GB from my iPad?

There is nothing to "transfer." The iTunes in the Cloud service is always-on. Simply delete the movie from the iPad and it will still be in your purchase history for re-download. However it is strongly recommended that you download all purchases to your computer and back them up locally as the iTunes in the Cloud service is not a backup service and should be relied on as such.
To find the movie in your purchase history in iTunes make sure you are logged in with the same Apple ID used to purchase the movie on the iPad.

  • Problem moving purchased iTunes movie to my iPod Classic

    Hi,
I recently purchased a film via iTunes and cannot drag it on to my ipod classic.  I manually control my iPod, so there is no automatic syncing involved.
The computer I am using is authorised, and the movie plays just fine in iTunes or QuickTime.  I have no problem importing music.
I'm mystified as to why this will not copy across - any ideas are most welcome.
    Thanks1=!

It is a second generation iPod, with the clickwheel and the 4 buttons. I have updated the iPod software and iTunes in the last week.
    Thanks in advance

  • Watching  purchased iTune movies with no internet

I bought a Lacinema external HD because they said you could watch MP4 movies with it. I purchased 3 seasons of TV shows and several movies only to find that it won't play movies from iTunes.
Please help me. I have spent soooo much money at iTunes, and I just want to take my shows for a long weekend with the girls. We are in a remote cabin with no internet. I have purchased these can't I watch them from my personal external HD in some way?
    I leave in 48 hours!!!
    Tracy

No error. It just won't play. Could it be because I already moved the shows to external HD and deleted them from iTunes.
In the past, I have been able to pull these off the external HD, and still watch them. I just tried that and nothing happens.
My yearly subscription is due so I took care of that just in case that was the problem. I deauthorized all computers because it said I have 5 authorized, and only have two (unless ATV counts as a 3rd). Went I went to authorize laptop it says "a required iTunes component is not installed (error 42403).

  • Purchased iTunes movies won't sync

I purchased a couple of movies and an audio book from iTunes. All my music syncs, but when I try to sync the movies and book my iPod crashes (freezes). I have tried the movies and book individually, but each time my iPod crashes. The only thing that I can think of that it might be is I am still connecting with a USB 1.0 port. Any help would be appreciated.

Movies purchased from the iTunes Store are automatically formatted for the iPhone. You probably have an authorization problem. If this is the computer you normally sync with, use the iTunes Store menu to "Deauthorize computer". Then go back to the same menu and "Authorize computer". This may clear up the problem.

  • HT201272 How can i recover my purchased itunes movies on ipad?

I have deleted purchased movies from my ipad. How can ik recover these movies?

If you are in a country where films can be re-downloaded and they aren't from studios that don't allow it and the films are still in the store then they should appear in the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app. If they don't then have you got copies of them on your computer and/or on a backup that you could resync to the iPad ? If not then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download (assuming that they are still in the store) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

  • Purchased iTunes movies to ipod touch

My son has an ipod touch and wanted to drag "The Adventures of Tin Tin" that he had purchased (through a download code that came with the DVD) from iTunes. He tried it 2 ways- once dragging it from Itunes to ipod and syncing, and once going to the ipod on the left side, clicking 'movies' and clicking the check on that film and syncing the ipod. Either way it shows it as downloaded, but when he tries to find it on the ipod, it can't be found.
    He has 5.1.1 software installed.
    Can anyone help? Much appreciated.

    Hi Illaass- thanks for asking.
No strange movies showing and have tried the reset with no luck. We also did the unsync and reloaded just the one.
Seems we've hit a wall of weirdness.
