Viewing Rates assigned to a Project from cProjects

Hi Gurus
I have created a project in cProjects and released, etc.
Is it possible to use a SAP PS Transaction to view the Rates assigned to each Task. I have tried using CJ20N but I have haven't been able to locate what I'm looking for.
Any guidance on this will be much appreciated.

I checked CN41 but could not see the Rates linked to the Project, I went into a number of views but could not locate.
Would you be able to guide me through to where I need to be.

Need suggestion for the automatic creation of WBSE in SAP-PS from each phase of Projects from cProjects i.e. multi level controlling scenario
I have done the required configuration of Define Controlling Scenario where for the project type, controlling method has given (Multilevel Controlling (Structure Element, Automatic).
But in my case only one WBSE is getting created for all phse s & project defintion of project in cProjects.

1. Project Type:
Accounting Intergation-accounting integration in my SAP ERP, as of relese of the project
2. Define Object Links for Accounting Integration
- 0FIN_INT_ERP_PS Single-Obj. Controlling on WBS Elements
- Search Fields OLR3_TS_PRPS_SHLP
- Proxy Class CL_DPR_OLR3_WBSELEMENT
- 0FRAME9 frame has considered
3. Controlling
- Controlling Scenarios: PS01 Costing Variant
- Then Costing Model has assigned to Controlling Scenarios
- Assignment of Cost Elements to Cost / Revenue rate
Please suggest me if i have missed some things. I am checking the planed cost in CN41 transaction of the PS module. Morever in Project in cProjects costing button is disabled & while doing calculate no planned cost os updating in Projects.
I am following role based costing process. Project Role has defined & employee assiged to Projects.

'Released' System Status in Automatically created PS Project from Cproject

Hi,
My questions are related to Automatic creation of PS project from cProject
When We create a PS Project automatically from cProject, the Top Level WBS under Project definition is ' Released' Status . But We need it should be 'created' Status. Pls guide me to change this behaviour .

Hi Ramesh,
In the current cProjects application design, nothing exists in standard. You have to create your own implementation, either by enhancing standard accounting class, or your own subsystem to trigger the interface at save.

Upload projects from cProjects to RPM

Hi RPM experts,
My client is working with cProjects(linked to PS) , but now they are thinking about using RPM. How should we upload existing projects from Cproject to RPM in order to they are linked?
Is it needed first creat the item and then linked to cproject or can they be uploaded and created automatically?
We have seen this function /RPM/CP_UPLOAD, Is it the correct one?

Hi Sara,
This is another way to achieve the Project Upload to cProject. You can create a link between existing cProject and an existing item. Then you can upload the PS project to cProject and Item through RPM application.
For you next query about the mass creation of Item.
you have two options
1) Via Portal. Using Multiple Items create functionality
2) Via RPM_DX transaction, where you can prepare an excel sheet with basic details of the items to be created and upload this excel via this transaction, by selecting appropriate options on the selection screen.
With these two options you can create multiple Items at a time.

Design view not working after importing project from Flex Builder

After importing a project from Flex Builder to Flash Builder I am no longer able to see anything in the design view. I am using the flex 4.5 sdk.
Any idea how I can get this design view working? I heard it could have something to do with the metadata directory but am slightly lost here?...

Could you please provide more information as to what exactly are you importing. Also does Design View not lauch at all or does it give errors. Would it be possible for you to share the logs.
Meanwhile you can try cleaning the workspace and importing again to see if that solves the issue.

How to load views in an MVC 5 project from a referenced DLL

I wish to compile some controllers, models and views into a single assembly and then include it in mvc projects as needed.
I initially tried using a class library and packaging EF6, MVC etc into the library, but the project that referenced library was unable to find and serve the views.
I tried to write a Virtual Path Provider (using this example), but if each view does not have a unique name (eg. Index in various subfolders) then I get
an error:
"resource name cannot be used more than once".
Another complication of this seems to be that even if I can get the VPP to serve the file (through treachery and deceit), the application complains:
"'ModelType' is not declared. It may be inaccessible due to its protection level."
If I try to inherit from System.Web.Mvc.WebViewPage, as reccommended in the example linked above, I get an error:
"The 'inherits' keyword is not allowed when a 'ModelType' keyword is used."
It seems that it is a 'close but not quite' scenario.
I would really prefer to NOT embed the views as resources anyway. According to
this post I should be able to create the dlls as MVC projects themselves and then include them in other projects (Full-Fat MVC Project). It is claimed:
"if you follow this approach you can use the routes, controllers and views as if they were part of the main web app."
However, when I tried this I wasn't able to get the view engine to look into the dlls.
How can I make the view engine see the dll and the pathed views within it?

Transferring the data from cProject to PS Project

Hi,
When we create a PS project from cProject some of the field values are not flowing.
1. PS Project is not taking any cProject Project type. Is there any BAdI or Configuration Option available to change this behaviour?
2. Person Responsible of the Project is not replicated in PS Project from cProject. Can We flow this detail from cProject to PS project?
pls help me to solve these behaviours.

>> the PS project type is determined by project profile. And PS Project profiel is determined by customizing, tocde IAOM0, Business Scenario 'CPROJECTS'. In other words, only a PS project type is available.

>> The reponsible of cProject is a BP, and the PS Project responsible is a person maintained in HR. They can have no relationship between them, though the name is the same. The corresponding information is not tranfered to the PS and there is no mapping logic applied so far.

Employee id's of resources assigned to the project

Hi All,
I need to send employee id's of the people assigned to a project from sap ps to third party ps system.
I am able to find the projectid, netwrok id and activity id and work center assigned to it but how do i find which resource(employee id) of this work center is assigned to this activity.

1. Project Types in cProjects, Object types, Organisation unit with Org structure in line with project profile
2. Activate Accounting integration
3. Object types for object link (WBSE in this case)
4. Accounting integration using cost collector
5. Easy cost planing settings both in R/3 systems & cProjects
6. Project profile configuration in R/3 (cProjects standard)
7. CO Scenario maintainance view determination (Multi level controlling-Project role, automatic)
All the enterprise structure assignments should be same in cProjects & R/3.

If the companay code does not belong to the Co area, the system will certainly raise an error message. The question is, where do the values come from.
Woud you please check the customizing in ERP system, if you can find the inconsistence:
1. Customizing of the Proj.Profile under 'Create Project Profile' , SAP standard delivered is CPR0001, may be replaced by customer,
Which Co-area & company code are used. In Tab 'organization'
2. Which responsible Org.unit is maitained at involved cProject, to which co-area or company codes is this org.unit assigned.
3. If the Badi under the
Integration with Other mySAP.com Components ->
Collaboration Projects -> Controlling -> Business Add-Ins (BAdIs),
which set the org. information hardly via Badi method.

Are there is any standard report is available to view the Employees those are assigned to the Project. If it is available please provide the Transaction Code.

Nitin is correct if there is no HR then it is difficult to set up resource planning based on workforce. Nitin is also correct in poinitng out that yu do not have to implement HR fully, just set up the personeel master data (HR Mini Master) with a basic set of data infotypes.
If however you do not plan to set up HR ot the personnel master then you need to do creative thinking - e.g. set up all your people as individual work centres and assign to activites - the work centre description can be the name of the person and the workcentre number can be the employee number - restrcitcions is the field length, etc - however the down side of all this is that standard reports with personnel number number will not suffice and you will have to do some work for your reporting - not major as the data is stored in SAP tables

While creating project from inactive dc not able to view the project struct

Dear All,
I have created project from inactive dc now when I open the project in the webdynpro explorer I am not able to view the application, component and models. I have tried reloading and repairing but still the structure is not appearing. Can anyone tell what I may be doing wrong.

Dear Bala,
I have got about 8 to 10 DC's out of which only this one is showing the missing structure and as this dc is being used by other dc's I am getting the error like missing component. Previously we were using the client desktop and doin the work now we have shifted it to our individual systems. Now any project I am creating whether from same track or different same problem comming the structure is missing.

Error While Creating Project From Active Workspace.

Hi Friends,
While I am trying to create Project (WebDynpro DC) from my Active Workspace.
I am getting few errors..They are as follows.
1> .classpath (read only exception) --- By mistakenly .classpath was added to one of my activity and it is in DTR. So kindly suggest me a solution to Delete this file.
2> Resource ProjectProperties.wdproperties is not in sync with latest version.
To delete resource:
- check-in changes and then delete.
- revert resource and then delete.

My Client want to Create a Project Directly from Sales Order. I think we can do it using Assembly Processing. But, I have not worked on it.

Transaction Flow
As per prerequisite we need to create following:
1-       Standard WBS
2-       Standard Network
3-       Material
4-       Link between the Network, Material and Standard WBS;o
5-       Create Sales Order
Create Standard WBS
TCode : CJ91
Path: Choose Logistics ® Project management ® Basic data and then Standard structures ® Standard WBS® Create
After entering the data press enter.
Now select   icon to display the WBS element.
You can add / delete the WBS element here.
Remember that For All WBS Element, Operative indicator Account Assigned & Planning Element should be ticked. Billing element should be ticked for the WBS element that will be assigned in the allocation of material to Std. Network
Click on   icon to go back to the header.
Here release the WBS elements.
Make sure to release the WBS elements. (Remember without Release Status system will not allow to post any actual cost to new created project)
Create Standard Network
TCode: CN01
Path: Choose Logistics ® Project management ® Basic data and then Standard structures ® Standard networkà Create
Select the   icon to copy from Template.
Now enter standard Network (Which one you want to copy).
Here you will link WBS to Network.( it is very important to create a new operative project from sale order ) Then press Enter
Select the     for choose activities:
You can create activity here as per requirement.
You can maintain the relationship among the activities. Now Press the Total Tab :
Now here you can decide that under which WBS element activity will assigned .
Save the network
Create Material
TCode: MM01
Path: Logistics ® Production ® Master data ® Material master or Logistics ® Material management ® Material master and then Material and create (special or general)
Create material with using already exist material
Maintain the necessary setting in Material Master. (It is necessary for Assembly processing).
Select Sales ORG 1
Press the conditions :
The amount which enters here will be the sale value of material. During creation of sale order system take the sale order value from here.
Select the relevant Item Category Group.
Maintain Strategy in MRP3 View and save then Exit.
Assignment of Material to Network:
TCode: CN08
Path: Logistics ® Project management ® Basic data and then Standard structures ® Network parameters from sales order ® Edit.
Click the   icon to enter new line.
Here we will link material to Standard Network & Standard WBS.
Assembly Processing
Create Sales Order:
TC: VA01/VA41
Path: SAP Menu àLogistic àSales and DistributionàSalesàOrderàCreate
Select the Order Type / Sale organization and Distribution Channel
Enter
Enter the Required field like Ship to party, PO No. , Required Delivery Date, Material No. and Quantity .Then Press Enter.
Save the Sales Order and note down the Sale Order Number.
Sales order number will use the project number
Check in Project Builder.( CJ20N)
Now we can see that System has created new operative project in background.
And it has assigned activities to WBS accordingly.
