Viewing SQL mail attachment on Blackberry

We receive many reports from SQL using SQL Mail sending to our Exchange account. On the BB these text file attachments are not viewable correctly. The report is columns (4) and text but on the BB they appear empty. There is a space or 2 but no viewable data.

Hi portnh,
If you press " N " it will move from one date to another, and if the message is unread message you can try pressing  " U " it will take you to the unread message ,You may try pressing " S " it may open the search box where you can search your message.
Try all this but I think it will better if you get your trackpad repaired to avoid all this problems.
Good Luck

How do I use an email certificate to sign email sent using SQL Mail? I have a certificate installed so that I can sign email sent from Outlook. This is on SQL Server 2005 using either Database Mail or SQL Mail.

How do I use an email certificate to sign email sent using SQL Mail?
    Hello Jeffrey,
It's not possible with SQL DB-Mail, you have to use an other (own developed) application to send signed e-mails.

  • Can you create a pdf e-mail attachment with working hyperlinks?

I'm trying to figure out how to generate an e-mail with working hyperlinks where the recipient doesn't have to open the pdf for the links to work...in other words, when they open the e-mail and view the pdf as it is displayed, the links are visible and the viewer can click on them and go to a URL. I see this all the time, and can't figure out how to do it with a pdf (I've added the links with the link took in pdf and they display within the application window, but disappear when the file is an e-mail attachment) or with html. I've attached the pdf that I'm trying to make interactive within an e-mail message. Any help that can be provided is much appreciated!

Michael your answer is colored by the fact you use an ASCII (Text only) News Reader.
The answer is more along these lines:
PDF's can be created with working hyperlinks.
They can be automatically be brought over from programs such as MS Word, Open Office, and such  provided your on a PC Platform
they can actually be viewed and clickable from Acrobat or Reader PC Versions, if created from a PC Version.
they are not viewable or clickable if created from Mac version of Office.
They are viewable and clickable from a PC if created from Mac version of Office (Word/Excel)
The Mac can can not do so automatically you must do them Manually with in Acrobat.
in Past it has been a Pain to do so though may be different in version 9
If you use a browser Plugin such as Schubert's PDF Browser Plugin that works on Safari, fireFox, Camino, SeaMonkey Opera, OmniPage, iCab. Links you create in Mac version of Acrobat are viewable and clickable.
Finally MS and Adobe have been having this on going problem since the day's PDF's first hit the market. (Version 1.) and MS  decided to support them. The hooks are there for both PC and Mac versions of Word. and either are capable of being created and acted upon on whether created by the Mac version of Office, or the PC version of Office, but only on a windows PC. Its clearly a problem of Acrobat/Reader on the Mac. Its either a problem Adobe won't own up to, or they can't solve or, this is one item they can't be bothered with to put in the Mac Versions.
Some of this information is based on my participation in the msnews. nntp newsgroups for Office Mac. The experts there for the most part (MVP's) use both Mac and PC's and have investogated the problem themselves and been give information from the MacBU (Mac Business Unit) at MicroSoft. The basic internal code of Office 2003/2004 is the same. The UI is different and key cobinations are different. And same for 2007/2008 except office 2008 don't support VBA and Macros, and neither 2004 nor 2008 have MasterPages, And thankfully according the the MVP's Thankfully the Robbonis not supported on 2008.

  • Zip file attachments renamed to Mail Attachment since upgrading to SL

Does not appear to happen with jpeg files. This happens with both new emails that have .zip attachments and emails previously received. I can rename the file and add the .zip extension and get at its contents (Microsoft Access database file). Any ideas on how to stop this from happening? This did not occur before upgrading to Snow Leopard.

    Ernie Stamper wrote:
If the MacBook that is not using SL and this Mac are both on and receiving the message, then will the message on the MacBook remain named correctly, but with the Mac using Mail 4.1, it is not? (I think this is what you are reporting, but just making sure.)
    Yes
Is there any SPAM or Anti-virus software on this computer?
    No
Using each computer, open such a message, click on View in the menubar, place the cursor on Message in the resulting pull-down and choose Raw Source. Observe the attachment header for this file on each computer, and report.
Will check this when I get home tonight.

One more thing that I found interesting. I used Time Machine to look at older emails that had been backed up and all their attachments (the .zip ones) have been renamed to Mail Attachment as well.

  • Unsupported Mail Attachament

    Hi all,
When I received an unsupported mail attachment, it's showing the attached file in gray color and it's not accessable, my question is, where this attachment file is saved? I want the full path for it please.
    Kind regards ('',)

Attachments are not downloaded/saved on your iPhone, they are only viewed from a local temporary cache. Since the iPhone's directory structure is not user-accessible, the 'full path' is not relevant. If the attachment is of a type not supported for viewing on the iPhone, you'll need to access that email (and the attachment) from an email client on your computer.

  • How do I open a Yahoo E-mail attachment?

When I try to open an e-mail attachment (by touching the attachment and getting a pop-up that asks me if I want to view or save the attachment), no matter which I choose, it goes to the "loading" progress bar, and then I get this message:  Sorry, an error occurred. Please try again.  If this error persists, there may be a problem with the file you are trying to access.
Have tried with multiple documents, so I do not believe the error is with the file.

Great news!  The Yahoo Mail Update fixed the problem.
Now, how to I sync my Facebook Contacts with my new Droid?  The old one did it easily...

  • Why are security headers not visible when viewing "sent" mail for mail sent with S/MIME certificates?

I am using an S/MIME certificate to sign my emails using Mail on Mountain Lion 10.8.2.  I have a trusted S/MIME certificate for each of my email accounts.  The certs and private keys are properly installed in the keychain.  I am able to successfully send signed (and optionality encrypted) email and the recipients are all all receiving the emails showing a trusted signed email without having to acknowledge or trust the signature.  So technically the certificates are working.  Obviously the encryption option is only offered when I also have the recipients certficate in my keychain.
What I am noticing is that when I look in my sent items - (regardless of which email I used as the "sender") - I don't see any indication in the mail headers that the mail was sent with a signed certificate - even though I know the recipient is seeing that the mail is signed with a cert.  I have no way of telling whether I sent the mail as "signed" or "unsiged".  The default is to use the certificate for all outbound emails - unless I specifically uncheck the secure signing option before sending.  In mail that I recieve - sent from others with certs or sent from one of my email accounts to the other - I see the the certificate indication in the email header.
On rare occasion - I do see the certificate when viewing sent mail - but only for  random sent mails - and so far I believe I have only seen the certificate show up in mail that is sent from my iCloud account.  I can send subsequent mail from iCloud - and still not see the certificate in the sent items.
Why am I not seeing the Security Header showing the certificate when viewing mail that I have sent in my sent items folder?  Is there some setting that I am not seeing that controls this - or is this a bug in Mac Mail?  Also why does the security header show up for just a handful of sent emails - when hundreds of signed emails have been successfully sent.
Any help would be appreciated.  The behavior is the same on my other Macs - at least the ones on which the certificates are also installed.
Also - I don't have my certs installed on my iPhone yet - so I can't tell on the iPhone if the certs are showing up in the sent folder - but I can see the certs on mail that I send to myself from the Mac but receive on the iPhone.
    ~Scott

I stopped using the S/MIME certs and stopped signing my emails.  Too many recipients were receiving them as "attachements" especially if the recipients email account was on an Exchange server.  My certs have since expired and I have not done anything to further analyze the situation.  My original post was over a year ago and I have long since been on Mavericks.
To: iddontknowwhoiamsowhat ... I am not totally following your response.  You say you are seeing the exact same issue - yet you are also saying you can look at the sent mails from os x and ios - does this mean that you see the security badges on the sent emails in both os x and ios?  I assume you are on Mavericks?

  • Java mail + attach files

    hi,
    I have actually two problems:
1- I want to use a button to view files from the disk, to allow the user to choose files to be attached. I have no idea how to do that.
2-I am not able to view my mail. my program works but there is always a message from the smtp server : "invalid recipent address", I tried to change servers, change recipient address but I have never received the mail send.
    thank you.

    1. Check javax.swing.JFileChooser
    2. Post the code for setting recipient and put a println of the e-mail address you are trying to set before setting recipient. Be sure to use [c[/i]ode][c[/i]ode] tags when posting code.

  • Open Mail attachment in new window.

    hi,
i want to open a mail attachment using new window (in IE). here i am able to manage to create the new window and viewing the contents but the problem is the new window is opening before the 'open', 'save' or 'cancel' dialog box is coming.
Currently in my JSP i am calling
    <a href="<%= sformUrl %> target="newwindow"><%= name %></a>
this will open a window immediately and dialog box will come after that. if i select 'save', the new window get closed.
i want the new window to open only if i select open.
    Can anybody help me?

thx for the reply. if i remove the target attribute, attachment will open in default applications like .txt in notepad etc. But here the problem is if try to open the html or unknown filetypes, browser will try to open it in current window and my current page over writes.Doesn´t happen here. Definately a client side setting.
i dont want this becoz my web application is secured one and back/forward buttons wont work so my session will expire. What is it, "becoz"? Please write full words out. This forum is also visited by non-English-natives.
So i want to open the html attachment and unknown file types in new window only if i am selecting 'open'. (new window should appear only if i am clicking 'open')That´s not possible with HTML. Best what you can do is to specify the target only when the file´s content type is HTML and live with it.

The best way to get a good view of an attachment is by simply selecting it and tap on the space bar. Works also with multiple attachments.

  • Sending attachment to Blackberry Handheld User

I created a document using Pages apps and send it via e-mail by using .doc (word) file format.
The recepient opened it using Blackberry smartphone but failed with error message "The document conversion failed"
If I e-mail by using PDF file format and I can open the attachment using Blackberry however the document is showing blank page.
    Anyone encounter this problem before?

    Hi Arghadip,
Thanks very much for your response. I resolved it myself. See details below.
I was thinking about the solution suggested by you but it would add another custom object. By the time I call SAP_WAPI_START_WORKFLOW, I have all the information about the changes made to the costs.
I resolved this situation by calling FM SWL_WI_NOTE_CREATE_WITH_TABLE after SAP_WAPI_START_WORKFLOW.
I used Workitem ID returned by SAP_WAPI_START_WORKFLOW and passed my internal table which contains all the cost changes to this FM SWL_WI_NOTE_CREATE_WITH_TABLE . It worked like wonder.
Thanks very much once again for looking into my problem.

  • Mail attached dimension

    Dear all.
I've a problem with the e-mail attached generated with a background process.
If I want to automatically send a spool coming from a background job (e.g. a list from MB52), I obtain the follow situation.
In SP01 I can see a spool of 68 pages; in the email I receive, I can see 18 pages; the same happens if I send the mail internally trough the SAP Office.
Can anyone help me with this topic?
Thanks in advance for your effort.
    Matteo

Use the "attach" button to add the picture, then right-click or control-click the picture, and choose "View as icon".
If you want to be extra-sure, go to the "Format" menu and choose "Make Plain Text" (if your only option is "Make Rich Text" then you're already sending a plain text message). But you lose text formatting too if you do this.
But keep in mind that mostly changes your view of the email message. What other people see when they get their message depends on what software they are using to read their email. Some software just displays image attachments, no matter what you do when attaching them.
Also, they can always download the images, even if they are displayed as embedded. Again, it doesn't matter much what you do, it's more an issue of  what software the other person is using to read their messages.

  • Unable to view SQL Server Agent while logged in as user

    Hello Everyone,
I have granted SQLAgentUserRole permission to one of the user and using enterprise edition of SSMS. still user is not able to view SQL Server Agent. Any help will be greatly appriciated.

There is no Enterprise Edition of SSMS. There is SSMS Basic and SSMS Complete. Prior to 2012 sp1, only SSMS Basic were available with Express Edition - but as of 2012 sp1 Expredd also offers SSMS Complete. SSMS Complete is selected bu default when you install
SSMS (unless you are prior to 2012 sp1 and are using Express, of course).
However, even SSMS Basic *should* show Agent assuming you have permissions for that. This is hearsay, but from trusted sources. Here is what to do:
Check what is installed for the machine from where you are running SSMS. You can do that using SQL Server Installation Center - see this blog post: http://sqlblog.com/blogs/tibor_karaszi/archive/2011/02/10/what-does-this-express-edition-look-like-anyhow.aspx
     (towards the end).
On that machine try both this problematic account as well as an account which is sysadmin. Does the sysadmin account see Agent? If so, you know permissions aren't granted properly. If not, then you know the tool is the problme.
Also try the problematic account from a machine where you know you see Agent normally. Again, this will help you assess whether the problem is the tool (SSMS) or permissions for the account.
