Viewing the output from XI outbound adapter

Hi,
I am running a HTTP outbound adapter. When the message fails I am able to see the payload in SXMB_MONI but when its successful the payload is not visible.Is there a way to look out for the payload after it leaves the outbound adapter? We have some issues on some garbled data at our posting URL but when I fail the HTTP adapter and see the payload its perfect. I want to make sure the HTTP adapter is not doing the funny garbling things and check the outbound payload before it reaches the target URL.
Any suggestions guys....

I thought you ment the XI content but the other way might be to install an EffeTech HTTP Sniffer http://www.effetech.com/sniffer/
I guess the XI content, e.g. the mapped payload is ok?
I used the sniffer before and it helped me but only the full version shows you every detail. I guess there are other products on the market. Did you check the message monitoring in the runtime workbench? That has a button too for message display.
I guess with the sniffer I would send the request to your desktop where the sniffer is installed on so that you see the payload and post / get.
I guess there must be open source sniffers on the market too.

Scheduling a Report from outside Scheduler but viewing the output in Plus

We are using Discoverer 10.1.2
I know that we can schedule a report within Discoverer Plus and the resulting out put can be seen in Discoverer under scheduled work books
I am also aware that we put Discoverer command line commands in a DOS script and then schedule that script to run using an Enterprise scheduler and automatically export that report Excel.
What I want is to schedule reports using our enterprise scheduler but view the resulting output in Discoverer under scheulded work books
I was thinking that when we schedule a report Discoverer creates a package, something like EUL5_BATCH_PACKAGE080314170249.RUN;.
Once that package is created, if I copy it and rename it and then schedule to run from our enterprise scheduler, would I be able to view the output from Discoverer ?

I did try running the above package EUL5_BATCH_PACKAGE080314170249.RUN from SQL Plus as I had indicated above. The settings on the report schedule were -
- Run immediately
- Never repeate
- Delete the results after 9999 days ( maximum allowed )
Now the first time the report ran automatically using DBMS_JOBS since I had set the report to run immediately.
After that when I tried running EUL5_BATCH_PACKAGE080314170249.RUN from SQL Plus, the procedure completed but when I looked at the Discoverer front end, it indicated the run was in error with Unique constraint violation on EUL5_BQ_TABLES.EUL5_BQT_UK_1 index. However when I looked at the table it did not have any data in it.
I the ran the procedure again from SQL Plus and this time it completed and when I looked at the Discoverer Plus front end, the results were ready for me to view.
When I tried running the procedure again, it failed again with unique constraint violation and when the procedure was executed after that it again ran and i was able to view the results.
So, ever alternate run from SQL Plus was successful. I would continue to try out different combinations of schedule parameters to see if I can get it to work.
However, any one has already tried this before please let me know if what I am trying Is this possible ?

Thanks for the suggestion Rod. However, if I use DBMS_JOB.CHANGE, the report will still run using DBMS_JOB. What I would prefer is to not use DBMS_JOB.
Running anything in DBMS_JOB means, the job is not visible in the enterprise scheduler that we use. Our enterprise scheduler is being monitored at a data center and if any jobs fail, appropriate on call individuals are contacted. Records are kept of failures and root cause is analyzed. So I want to take advantage of these procedures for scheduled reports as well.
I am still looking for some alternative method.

How to view the output maintained at handling unit level

How to view the output which was maintained at Handling unit level in the delivery.
Say for ex:- If we maintain the out put type LD00 at delivery level, we can view the output for the same in the change mode of outbound delivery.
In the same way how can e view the output which was maintained at handling unit level.

Hi,
Go to 'VL02N' transaction code give the Delivery number and from menu Outbound delivery select issue output to. then select the proper output type (already issued) and select the print preview button.
It is just as you see for other output's only.

First of all i thank you for the reply.
I explain the process which i am doing in side the thread.
After connecting to the remote machine, it asks another password.
so i read the output after connecting. if it equals "password:", then write the 2nd password. then i read the output. it will be like "system>" . if this prompt comes like this, then i write the super user name and super user password. then the prompt will be like "system#". then i write the command which i need to execute and read the output whether the command is success or not.
So after every output read, i interrupt the thread using interrupt() method. its working fine if i execute via GUI ie, click the button. But its not working when i scheduled this job in a scheduler ie, it will be executed when the time elapsed.
Give an idea to fix this bug please.

By using a signed applet i am lunching a small application that returns an image object, how to read that without storing it in the hard disk.
Which means i need to read the image object return by the local application using applet or jsp .
i am using tomacat and an html page with an applet with it to lunch the application.

You can write that image in a binary format using OutputStream for System.out and then read it in your applet.

I cannot get the output from a perl script using Java. Can someone PLEASE help?

Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) is a mechanism by which applications can communicate and exchange data in Windows.
I have imported data into the excel spreadsheet using DDE built in functions. I am sure it can work with MS Acess as well. If not, then you need to create a 2 step process .. reports -> excel -> access.

yes, that is correct that it crashes with the new code when i have both made it a separate library function node and when i incorporated it into an existing code. the odd thing is that it actually seems to work now. i believe that i was using the wrong environment to call the new codes, which is why whenever i tried to revert to the original code previously, it still crashed. it seems that in order to be called, i need to use Deployment rather than Development and ppc instead of i386 in the active configuration and architecture in Xcode, respectively. while playing around with the iphone app, it must have reset my defaults to a non-labview friendly form. so now that i've got that part of the code working, i need to find out why it's still crashing on me. at first, i thought it must be the random number generator, but testing that separately in the code works just fine, so there must be something internal in the code. probably a memory allocation fault. but now that i can actually get everything running once more, i should be able to sort that issue out myself.
thank you very much for the help. sorry i didn't actually have anything to fix, unfortunately. i'm going to spend some time trying to debug this section of code to find where the fault lays. i may come back if i cannot find it in there, but hopefully it will not come to that.

Can the output from ADC port power a HDTV

I have my ADC port connected by a ADC/DVI adaptor cable to a HDMI port on my HDTV.

You can ask your functional person to make a payment to a vendor which will then issue a check. You can use the same payment run in program RFFOUS_C and create new checks by voiding the previous check number with a void reason code.
You can do this as many times as you want and test your check output.

What is the proper interpretation of the output from PID vi?

Can someone clarify the meaning of the output from the NI PID vi's? From the documentation for the PID control toolkit, it appears that the output is an absolute quantity and not a delta (change) to the previous output. The problem I have is that if I am running proportional control only, and the controller is moving into a steady cooling air flow rate to achieve my setpoint temperature, the error goes to zero and the output from the controller drops to zero. This completely ruins the temperature control.
Simply: assume that the output to the control valve I am using needs 12mA (4-20mA controlled) constant value (flow rate) to maintain my setpoint. When the error goes to zero, the controller output goes to zero. This, of course, leads to terrible oscillation etc.
Other PID implementations I have used are all delta (change) based. In other words, you calculate a P, I, and D correction to the previous output.
What am I missing? All of the NI labview PID examples use the output directly to drive I/O, and never use it as a change (delta).
I read this newsgroup's archives and found a similar question, but the answer was not helpful.

Hi Darth,
You have read the documentation correctly. The output of the PID VI is an absolute value. If you are using a P algorithm then you will need to use the PID Output Rate Limiter VI to control the rate of the oscillation. Your other option is to use a PID algorithm rather than just the P algorithm. The I and D portion of the PID algorithm are based on the current and previous error and output respectively. For further information on how the PID output is calculated please reference chapter 2 of the LabVIEW PID Control Toolset User Manual
