Viewing time in full screen mode

Hello, I am using iMovie '11 (version 9.0.8) and would like to view time in full screen mode, and by time I mean hours: minutes: and seconds. Is it possible to view the playhead in the scrubber bar at full screen? I put a time code in my video, but I would like to see seconds, as well as minutes and hours. Is this possible?

I'm having the same problem with an iMac! The bizarre thing is, if I open those same movie files using Quicktime, Full screen mode works fine. iTunes used to play the movies correctly in Full Screen mode but it doesn't anymore. I am using iTunes 8.0.2.
Anybody have any ideas???

  • Screen goes to sleep even when viewing movies in full screen mode

Hi, I have adjusted my settings so my screen goes to sleep after 5 minutes which is ok. But it also does this when viewing movies in full screen mode.... Is this a setting somewhere? Thanx!

    Welcome to the Discussions!
"When the computer is inactive" or "idle" means when YOU, the user, are doing nothing, neither using the keyboard nor the mouse. So you have to increase that 5 mins in Energy Saver.

  • Can only view Mail in full-screen mode

After installing Yosemite, I can only view the main Mail window in Full Screen mode, unless I check "Classic View" in Preferences. Classic view does not help much, because it does not show the preview, which is essential to me. If I exit fullscreen mode, the minimized window appears for a split-second and then disappears down the left bottom corner of the screen and you cannot find it anywhere. The only way to see anything again is to go to Mail - View - Full Screen. Any help is much appreciated.

  • Unable to view project in full screen mode.

I'm working on three different imovie projects, and they are all in my project library. For two of the three projects I have no problems viewing them on the full screen mode, but the one that I'm currently working on won't play full screen when selected, it plays a different project. I called Icare support, and they said the problem wasn't in the program, but rather in the project. They suggested that I post my question here on the Apple Message Board to see if they are any suggestions, otherwise, I'll have to rebuild the project...I've spent two weeks working on it...ouch!

Think of Full Screen Mode like a browser that let's you watch a movie. If you stop before it ends, it remembers your place and lets you take up where you left off the next time you come back.
Move your cursor down toward the bottom middle of the full screen view. You will see a cover flow view, and you can select the project you want to view.

  • Impossible to view videos in full screen mode

I realise an animation in Flash thinking it will allow to produce a more powerfull presentation than Powerpoint. It includes some videos of about 1' in .fl4 format that are in a separate file. I published this animation in .swf; and in standalone projectors for Mac and PC .exe and .app. It works well in normal mode, videos are running perfectly. But in Full screen it blocks when it get to a frame with a video, showing a black screen and freezing the animation. It does exactly the same with checking, unchecking "material acceleration" both in the Flash player when running the .exe or .swf or .app file or in the exportation (publication) parameters of the .fla file. I also try to play the .swf file in Chrome or Firefow instead of Flash Player : same problem. It does also the same on the several machines (Windows and Mac) of a museum that is supposed to run the presentation. I used Plash Player 10, then 11 and 12 version : same problem.
Result : in normal mode the presentation is dirty and it is really ruining more than three weeks of hard work.
I get through hundreds of Google searches without finding any solution.
Thank for your help. Before tomorrow if possible...

  • New MBPr when viewing safari in full screen mode it keeps switching to the desk top screen like I initiated a gesture

Everytime I am using safari in full screen mode my MBPr always switches back to desk top view within a matter of seconds.  I can be typing a website or entering data in to a form and it still switches back.  This has become very annoying.  I have reinstalled the software, restored from time machinw, and even reset safri but it will not stop

Delete the localstore.rdf file at the following location:
    C:\Users\'''USERNAME'''\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\'''PROFILE NAME'''
I did this and it fixed it for several days, but it broke again eventually.

  • I created a table of contents in Indesign CS4 exported it to a pdf format. Now having an issue in viewing it in full screen mode.

When I open the pdf document it is in full screen mode and when I click onto a table of content link it is  full screen vertical but not full screen horizontal.  How do I make it full screen both ways.

You are not making sense. Are you referring to the way the PDF is opened into your PDF reading application? If so, what has that to do with a 'table of contents'?
In any case, it seems not related to a problem with InDesign. Try the Acrobat forum instead.

  • Viewing clip in full screen mode

I have not figured out how to view a clip that I have imported into FCE in the full screen format like you can do in imovie. Anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks

That solved the problem....thanks a lot!

  • How do I turn off/hide strip viewer when in Full Screen mode?!?!

this is stuck in the on position. not sure if this is something new from 1.5.6 or if something just clicked but it always seems to be in the way and i want it gone! Any ideas?

yours is showing all the time? mine only shows when my mouse is at the bottom of the screen.
However it also shows for me in non-fullscreen mode after i've switched to a different Space (in Leopard) and back. Have to go into fullscreen and then out of it to make it disappear.

  • IPhoto 11: How to view "all photos" while in full screen mode

In iPhoto, when it's not in full screen mode, if you click photos in the sidebar (under Library), you get a nice view of ALL your photos, and you have the option to sort them by event. When you go from this view straight to full screen mode, it stays this way, which in my case is particularly useful since I like to move photos around from event to event. However, staying in full screen mode, as soon as I click an any other of the menus at the bottom (events, faces, places, albums, projects), I cannot find anyway to get back to the "all photos" view, other than to take it OUT of full screen mode, click on "Photos" in the side bar, and then go back to full screen mode. Either I am missing something that is glaringly obvious, or this is a rather annoying oversight by Apple. It seems like it would be natural to have "Photos" be one of the options along with Events, Faces, Places, Albums and Projects in full screen mode. Right now the only work around I've been able to come up with (aside from going back and forth with fullscreen mode), and to hit "command F" while in full screen mode, and then type "i", which will give me what I am want only because all my photos start with "i". Not a very elegant work around, I know, but perhaps I am missing something very obvious.
    Thanks for any advice!
    James

In case my description isn't clear, here is a screenshot of exactly the view in full screen mode I am talking about  that I can't seem to return to once I leave it, other than to go back to non full screen mode or use the search trick.

  • Annoying single page view in full screen mode

I have checked the “Enable Scrolling” in the “View/Page Display” menu to have a continuous page flow (with gaps between pages) and avoid page bouncing when moving from the bottom of a page to the top of the next page. It works as expected when in windowed mode but not in full screen mode.
    - Why isn’t it possible to have continuous page flow (with gaps between pages) when in full screen mode? It is as if Adobe Reader disregards the “View/Page Display” menu preferences and always reverts to “Single Page View” when in full screen mode!
    - Also it would be nice to have an option to display a vertical scroll bar to the extreme right of the screen in full screen mode to be able to quickly scroll the document.
These two features are the primary ones that make me still using Foxit-Reader instead of Adobe Reader albeit Foxit-Reader has a lower PDF rendering quality.

    I have same problem.
In Full Screen Mode , most functions are *NOT* working. For example , Show/Hide Menu Bar , Show/Hide Toolbars etc. Even use keyboard shortcut , they just *NOT* working.
I am wondering is any chance to make Show/Hide Menu Bar , Show/Hide Toolbars working on Full Screen Mode ?
At least , please add some keyboard shortcut to change Page Display .
    Best Regards,
    Adobe Reader version : 10.0.3

  • Adobe Flashplayer is smaller in Full Screen Mode

I have Flashplayer 10,1,53,64 installed. When I play a clip , say from BBC news, it's OK in normal mode but goes to a mostly black screen with small screen in the centre when I try to view it in Full Screen Mode
    == This happened ==
    Every time Firefox opened
    == I installed Ver 10

The fix is to change your screen resolution.
I had the same problem and changed my screen resolution to:
    1280 - 768
    And fullscreen worked fine.
a word of warning though using windows 7 64 bit. Don't update the Adobe player, and if you have unistall it and get adobe player 9. (the previous version).

  • How to add project, folder or album in full screen mode

I love the full screen mode but I do need to go back (F) to "normal" mode for library changes like adding a new album, folder or project.
All other library functions do work like move projects into folder etc.
The function is shown in "inspector" (right mouse button) but you can not select the function.
Is this not supported like the faces and places "button" in full screen mode as i learned reading this forum?

If you close Firefox while in full screen mode then Firefox should start the next time in full screen mode as well.
If that doesn't happen the see:

  • Where is full screen mode in full editor of Elements 9?

Without having to go into the Organizer, is there a way to view images in full screen mode?
After completing the optimization of an image, it would be good to check it out in full screen view.
    Mary Lou

As far as I know, there is no full screen mode in the Editor.
For double-checking image optimizations, there's no substitute for using the "Actual Pixels" view, even though it requires a lot of scrolling....

  • Adjusted photos in full screen mode show digital garble over image

Since installing iPhoto08 viewing photos in full screen mode is very disappointing and frustrating. Some images will appear with this (for lack of a better term) digital garble over half or the full photo. Sometimes by switching to the next or previous image it will correct itself. It seems to happen only with photos I've adjusted. This never happened with iPhoto6 that I upgraded from. These photos are all 8 mpix, my mac is a G5 2.0 with 2 GB RAM. I've also noticed that the over all perfomance of adjusting the photos is very slow as well. I posted the image here www.capacitornetwork.com/iPhotoDigitalGarble.jpg. Compare the left and right halves (The photo was originally shot B&W). Thanks!

    zaadar:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Have you checked the HD with Disk Utility to see if it needs repairs? Not disk permissions but the disk itself. Also delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder. A corrupt preference file has been known to cause some strange problems. It's worth a try.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
