Viewing Trailers on iPod

Yeah, umm, I just downloaded a trailer from apple.com, and I just wanted to know, how do I get it from a file on my computer to my iPod ...

If it was an iPod compatible file download, simply add it to your iTunes library. If it is not already compatible, convert it with one of the free or commercial converters available for your system and then add it to iTunes.

after perusing other subjects with playback issues:
    this is the fix:
-Launch Control Panel - Double click Quicktime, If you do not see quicktime, look on the top left side of control panel and switch to classic view. This will then allow you to see Quicktime.
-Now click the advanced tab and click on Safe Mode GDI Only, Apply, then ok.

  • Cannot view trailers

I keep getting the error message on Apple TV2, "An error occured loading this content.  Try again later," when trying to view trailers.  How can this be eliminated?

In addition to vazandrew's suggestions, getting that error when trying to view something as small as a trailer can indicate the AppleTV is a little bonkers and needs to be rebooted. Press and hold the Down and Menu buttons on the remote until the status light on the AppleTV starts to blink rapidly. Once the main menu reappears it'll take a little bit longer before it starts to respond to the remote again (don't panic).

  • Can a slide show be created  in photoshop elements 11 that can be viewed on an ipod?

can a slide show be created  in photoshop elements 11 that can be viewed on an ipod?

You can create a sideshow in PSE but I don't know anything about ipod so can't tell you whether it can be viewed in it.
Just for interest sake, what does an ipod do?  I thought it was mainly for the music and speech based stuff but you seems to suggest otherwise.
For an old tutorial of creating  SIDESHOW SEE THIS VIDEO:

    Good luck.

  • Problems viewing trailers on Front Row

For some reason, Front Row is now showing an error message every time I attempt to play a movie trailer.
I get the message "The selected video could not be played. The format was not recognised."
I can't think why this has happened so if anyone knows what's going on, I'd be very grateful to hear from them!
    Thanks!

I had similar problems when viewing trailers using Safari - the same trailers worked fine last week! I seem to have fixed it by manually setting the date to two weeks ago!
    Here's what I did:
    - Open "Date & Time Preferences"
    - Untick 'Set date and time automatically'
    - Set the date to 8th Jan 2010
    - Quit System Preferences
    - Quit Safari and QuickTime Player
    - Open Safari and goto www.apple.com/trailers
    - Click one of the HD trailers (...this time the Hubble 3D trailer worked)
    - Open "Date & Time Preferences"
    - Tick 'Set date and time automatically'
    - Restart iMac (& verified I could view the trailer again)

  • Viewing trailers and videos

I'm trying to view trailers on my itunes, but everytime i click on view trailer, all i get is a distorted screen. I am able to hear the sound, but i cannot get a picture. This goes for my podcast too, i only get a greeny/grey scrambled distorted image.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You might want to update your driver, particularly if you have an NVidia GPU.  Here's a post where we describe this process and ask for additional details so we can resolve this for others.

  • Can't view duplicates in iPod or iPod selection

iTunes 7.3.2 seems a little odd, everything looks and seems to work differently - I don't seem to be able to have any control over the ipod (4 gig mini) contents unless I select "manually manage" - in the older versions, it seemed to be a mixture, you could add manually by dragging, or itunes would add from your regular itunes list as a 'surprise' which I quite liked...now I also find I can't view duplicates in anywhere but the main itunes music library - I wonder if this is a permissions issue?
The update just seems to have complicated something that worked fine as it was....

First of all, Yahoo! and Hotmail are not Apple products, so this is not the place to seek help with their services; you need to go to the Yahoo! Mail and Hotmail Help pages for them. Aside from that, are you certain the sender attached a picture instead of just including the link to it? Did you ask them that specific question?
You need to check all those things before assuming there's a problem. The fact that you can view pictures in Safari on other sites would indicate there's no problem with Safari and that the sender of the email sent a link to a picture.

  • Can not view Podcasts on iPod with new iTunes

I just installed the newest release of iTunes for Win XP (7.1.1.5) and now I can't see any of my Podcasts on my iPod (I have an iPod mini). I want to delete some of the podcasts from my iPod, but not all of them. And since I can't view them (I can only view MUSIC) I can't do that.
    Any suggestions?

Thanks for the posting to my question.
But the Podcasts currently on my iPod are not in my iTunes (I delete them after transferring to my iPod as I don't want to get confused which are new and which are old...).
So the problem is my inability to access my podcasts that are on my iPod as I want to delete the ones I've already listened to... If you have another guess I'd be very happy to give it a try.

  • Can't view photos on ipod touch

When I synced my Ipod touch (3rd gen) with my Windows Vista, the pictures were transferred over. However, when I go to the Photos application to view my photos, it says the photos apparently don't exist on my Ipod touch. So I don't know what's going on.

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."

  • Movie trailers on ipod touch

    Hello, new to the forum.
I purchased an iPod touch on Sunday and am having a great time with it so far. It was easy enough to figure out how to sync apps, songs and movies.
However, one issue I am having is I wanted to sync the movie trailer for Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen being that I had a 1080p and also a 720p version stored on my comp in .wmv format.
Despite the fact that I can open them with iTunes and they are listed under movies, I am unable to get either file to sync with the iPod Touch. I get a message saying the file cannot be played "on this iPod."
Being a newbie to unit, I was hoping someone would be able to point me in the right direction as far as how to load one of these files on or explain to me why it cannot be done at all.
    Thank you for your time

Thanks so much! I will try that as soon as I get home.
I hear you though! I'm 28 and am looking forward to this even more than the 80's animated movie where Optimus died I love to show the new trailer to people and what better way to do so than always having it on hand on the new ipod, rofl.
I'll probably make a bunch of trailers into that format now that you've explained it to me, thanks again

  • Browser view for 4G iPod has to be manually reset in iTunes 7

    Hi,
I've noticed that when I hook my 4th Generation 60GB Photo iPod up to my computer now, it doesn't keep the browser view that I like to use.
In iTunes 6, if I had browser view selected when I ejected my iPod, it would be on browser view the next time I hooked it up.
Now I notice, it defaults back to standard list view, and I have to set it back to browser view. This is kind of unconvenient. Has anyone else noticed this?

Hi. I have a 5G 30g ipod and i noticed the same problem. I find it very inconveninent. Also, it doesn't keep the random setting.
