Viewing transferred photos on my Ipad

Hi all,
I wonder if you can help, i am a new ipad user but have had an iphone for a few years.
I am trying to transfer and use photos on my ipad that i have transferred from my PC. I am sure it is simple but i can't make it work.
In the frist instance i am trying to e-mail myself just one photo and save it somewhere. It is giving me the option to save the image but it doesn't show in the camera roll like it always did on my iphone. Does it goes somewhere diffrerent with the new IOS 7 as it doesn't appear in my camera roll on my iphone anymore?? i have tried tunring both devices on and off and closing all open apps to see if that helps and it doesn't.
secondly, i am trying to use an app like google drive to transfer lots of photos. Again I have managed to transfer one photo into my google drive and i can view it on my ipad but when i try and open it, it tells me that i don't have an app which i can open it in. As it is a photo shouldn't i just be able to open it in my camera roll. If not what app can i get which means i can open photos?
Ultimatly, i want to achieve being able to transfer photos from my PC onto my ipad and be able to upload them to places like photobox, truprint or bob books (once they release there app). It can't be as impossible as I am finding it.
Any help would be much appreciated as i am getting very frustrated!
Thanks

  • Transferring photos from an ipad to macbook.

I recently synced my ipad to my pc and all my photos and music transferred over.  I no longer have my pc and moved to a macbook pro.  I am trying to move these photos from my ipad to my macbook - and the macbook isn't recognizing the photos.  Also, I am not able to delete the photos off my ipad now.
I really want to clear them out because they're taking up way too much space.  Any ideas on how I can sync these photos to my macbook without losing them?

To copy photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer on the iPad which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.
You should then be able to delete them from the iPad via your Mac's iTunes : select the iPad on the left-hand side of it, and on the right-hand side on the Photos tab either chose the photos that you want to sync from it instead (only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad), or if you want to just remove them then select and sync an empty folder.

  • How to view streamed photos on an iPad?

How can I view streamed photos on my new iPad from a Macbook's iPhoto library? (A quick internet search showed PhotoGrab, has anyone used it? Or can anyone suggest something better?)

    Hi buddy,
Normally its no problem to use an older TV as external monitor. You probably need an adapter, VGA to RCA but this is a common part and usually always been used with such older TVs they dont have a HDMI port.
On eBay and other places you can purchase such VGA to RCA adapter. Thats everything what you need for this connection.
After this you can switch between monitors using FN+F5 key combination. :)

  • Viewing Raw Photos with in Ipad 2 Photo

Have the Camera Kit for Ipad 2. works well. I do shoot a lot of RAW Photos. The RAW Photos do dowload and view in "Photos", but i have noticed the RAW Photo does not look "sharp"., JPEGS look fine. I tried an other photo viewing app and the RAW photos look good. Am I doing something wrong with Ipad 2 Photo?
    Thanks

I haven't got iPad2.  On the iPad1, you can only see the embedded jpeg but not the raw image itself.  The jpeg images looked good because they were created directly from camera.

Transfer the pictures from your iPad to your computer via iTunes.  Then sync them from iTunes to any of your devices.

  • Viewing full photo stream on iPad

Is there any way of viewing photos from your photo stream on my iPad that are outwith the last 1000 taken. I am abroad and don't have access to my laptop with the photo stream file? Thanks

Did you check to see how many photos are currently in Photo Stream on www.icloud.com?  It's possible that the 30 day restriction has caused all but 127 photos to be removed from Photo Stream.  My understanding is that the additional photos will remain in the Photo Stream album on your device (such as the 295 photos on your phone), however until your turn off Photo Stream as you did on your iPad.  At that point only the currently available photos would be streamed back to your iPad when Photo Stream is turned back on.

  • Transferring photos onton my iPad

I am having trouble getting any photos from my computer to my iPad. When I drag individual photos there in iTunes I get a message that says "[photo] cannot be copied to the iPad [iPad name] because it cannot be played on this iPad". Why I try to transfer photos by syncing the iPad simply stalls on sync - I wait but it won;t comple, even for just one phot in a file. Any suggestions as to why this is? The photos have the suffix .jpg

With Airsharing HD you make as many folder/albums as you require on your home computer, drag them over as described before, you then use the Airsharing app to view your albums, you have the option to view images singly or to run a slide show of the content of your albums.
The Airsharing library is totally separate from iPhoto, normally it cannot be seen by iPhoto but along with the option to email the image you can also save an image to the Photo app and view in in the Photo app but as far as i can see you may lose your album structure as the photo app may make an album titled last import or saved photos.
Best to leave them in the Airsharing library and view them from there.

  • How do I use iCloud so that it transfers photos from iPhone/iPad to computer, but not vice versa?

My iPhone tells me it has run out of storage and it is because of my photo/video storage.  There are about 400 photos that are in my photo stream on my phone from my Mac that I don't need to be there.  Is there a way to stop the transfer from my Mac to iPhone and iPad, but still have them automatically transfer from these devices back to my Mac? Help!

Photostream is different that iCloud backup, so whether or not it's backed up yet has nothign to do with you seeing her photos.
If her the photos are appearing in your photo stream, then you two are sharing an iCloud account for sharing photos.
On your daughter's device in Settings --> iCloud --> Account, which account is listed? It should be your daughter's AppleID (iCloud account). Photos should be turned on.
On your device, in the same location, your account should be listed.
There are multiple places where AppleIDs can be used, so be sure you're looking in the place I described above.

  • TS3989 How do I view my photo stream from ipad and iphone on icloud?

I have icloud on but it does not show my photos or photo stream when I log into icloud on my PC.

My photo stream photos only remain in iCloud for 30 days, allowing enough time for your devices to download them.  They are not backed up, only your camera roll photos are backed up.  If all your photo stream photos are older than 30 days, you would not get them back when you signed back into your iCloud account.  Shared photo streams remain in iCloud indefinitely and should reappear on your device when you sign back in.

  • Does iCloud back up photos, and can I view iPhone pictures on my iPad without syncing camera rolls?

I know this question may have been asked but please bear with me:
I have a iPhone 4S ( 16 GB ) and a iPad Air ( 32 GB ). Most of my photos are taken on my iPhone and I can view these photos on my iPad via the Photo Stream (which I know will only display photos for 30 days). I wanted to delete some photos off my iPhone to make room, but how can I still view these photos on the iPad without syncing my iPhones's camera roll to the iPad. Shouldn't iCloud be keeping these photos (and I heard that photos, music and maybe documents don't take up iCloud space, just other non-iTunes stuff count towards iCloud storage space but I don't know if that's right).
I just wants to know how iCloud works because what is the point of downloading other iOS devices' camera rolls onto my iPad and then risk my iPad runningout. Of space. Wouldn't I just run into the same problem? I thought iCloud would backup photos so if they were to be deleted off one iOS device, it can still be accessed on another iOS device (something like a Photo Stream but I ninnies it only lasts 30 days).

Hey! I am moving from icloud backup to itunes backup and i have not checked photos, contacts(see 1st image below) to sync to itunes. And on my phone in settings under icloud photos, contacts, notes and other stuff are selected(see 2nd image below). Does this mean i am backing up apps(and app data), music, settings to itunes but photos are still backed up to icloud. If not what should i do to back up my photos?
Could you please help me with this i am a little confused. Thanks!

I had created two photo albums on my ipad, by transferring photos from my hp laptop. I want to make space available on my ipad by deleting these photos, but the same hp laptop is no more with me. How do I delete these photos?

1, you can't at the moment, though with iOS 5 in the Autumn, from http://www.apple.com/ios/ios5/features.html#photos :
Even organize your photos in albums — right on your device
2, by removing it from you synced from and re-syncing. Only photos taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc can be deleted directly on the iPad (either via the trashcan icon in the top right corner if viewing the photo in full screen, or via the icon of the box with the arrow coming out of it in thumbnail view)
3, the location of the photos that you synced to the iPad should be listed on the iPad's Photos tab when connected to your computer's iTunes.
4, you can copy the photos from your iPad to your computer : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 . You should also be able to delete them from the iPad as part of the transfer process to your computer, and it's then your choice whether to add them to your sync photo list so as to copy them back to the iPad. Copying them to your computer would allow you to organise them into folders and therefore be able to sync them back into separate albums.
5, I don't use Dropbox either. There are some third-party browser apps in the iTunes App Store that allow you to download pages so that you can view them when offline e.g. Atomic Web (the whole page is saved within Atomic Web, it doesn't place a photo into the Photos app)
6, deleting content should help. If you remove an app from your iPad then you also remove the content that it's got on the iPad - so if you then decide to reinstall it back onto the iPad then you will need to manually add back any content that you want in it. None of the Apple built-in apps (including Photos) can be removed from the iPad

  • Having trouble transferring photos fron iPad to PC. I have done this before using lightning to USB but now won't recognise photos

Having trouble transferring photos frm iPad to PC. Have done it before using lightening to USB but sine update to iOS7 it says there are no photos

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

  • Must have to transfer photos to the ipad in order to view them?  Or can I view them externally?

I would like to view photos externally from something such as an SD card, rather than first transferring them to the Ipad.  Is this possible?

There is a camera connection kit which has an SD card reader for copying photos to the iPad, but that will only show the thumbnails of the photos on the card, you need to select and copy them to the iPad before you can see them full-screen.
And if you are copying the photos onto the SD card from your computer (as opposed to it coming direct from a camera) then you need to create a DCIM directory off the root of the card, with the photos underneath it, and the photo filenames need to be exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension i.e. in a similar format as if a camera had created/written them
