VIEWING VIDEO AND EMAILING VIDEO

Anyone hear of an upgrade or an application to view video's or send video's over the Iphone? How about an application to view wmv files? Thanks

Welcome to the forums.
QuitTime Player focusses on video playback, it's not made or intended to play flash files. Flash is a format made by Adobe; It's a proprietary format. Witch means it need a special program, made to specifically play flash files.
make sure you installed the latest version of adobe flash player installed. http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/completion/?installer=FlashPlayer_10.1_for_Mac_OSX
after downloading the file, you need to double click on the file and run the installer. The installer will want you to quite safari; before it will install flash.
After installing adobe flash, restart your computer and verify your computer recognized adobe l flash player is installed.
you can do this by going to. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
if flash is installed, you should get a message like, "You have version 10,1,102,64 installed"
If you still cannot view google street or youtube. you could try resetting safari:

and reseting DNS cashe using a program like DNS flusher.

just download the program, copy it to applications, and double click it to run.

Kin twom - making and emailing video

As best as I can determine the only way to record a video so it is saved and attachable to a email it to first go to the email program, click attach, then slide your photos album over to the camera/ video, switch to the video and record and it auto attaches. The problem is if you record a video first, it is saved in the photo album and you can see it and view it, but if you try to email it it does not show in the album to allow attachment.
If you go through the email first and click attach, then take videos, one or several, and they attach and you then discard the email and not sent it, you can come back later and attach them as they are visible in the album so you can pick to attach.
This is obviously bad programming logic as it is normal for a person to take random videos and later decide to sent email them. ie youtube.
Maybe someone knows a trick or method I'm not aware of?
BTW, I have blocked the data via verizon webpage, but I doubt that has anything to do with this. I have received mms photo attached messages with no issues.

I'm guessing that when Microsoft reconfigured the Kin to eliminate the loop, spot and whatever they changed in the software, they failed to make sure the logical function of the video program worked correctly. I suspect that Microsoft will never update or fix any bugs on this phone as they are probably concentrating on their new windows phone. After their first release of the Kin and its fiasco, they are probable just trying to cut their losses and get rid of back inventory so they can try to compete with their new full featured smart phone. That said, I probable will keep this phone and deal with the miscellaneous quirks, as I don't want a data plan and the wifi works nicely. If they do release a software update, that would be iceing on the cake.

No S-Video and composite video cable adapters from Apple?

Is it me or does Apple's http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_mac/mac_accessories/cables/cable_choo ser not carry any video cable adapters that go to S-Video and composite inputs (an old Panasonic projector TV from Y2K) from MacBook Pros (2008 and 2012 models)? This is just for watching fullscreen videos.

If you use extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) like Adblock Plus or NoScript or Flash Block that can block content then check the settings for that site.

Can I suggest using something that will allow audio capture from the external mic. to start with. Then you will have a video with audio in sync, in a format that you can re encode into whatever format you wish.
But, if you must do that. Dump the video from the handycam file, then put the mics audio file with it. ffmpeg -i video ffmpeg -i audio into whatever container and codecs that you want. You may have to adjust audio-video sync
ffmpeg -i audio -itsoffset 0.1 -i video
Search this forum and the web. There are hundreds of ffmpeg examples. And the ffmpeg man

ffmpeg will do just about anything, but is a little daunting. Ask specific questions and you'll get specific answers. Or find a front end for it. I never use them.

How to obtain Video and Non Video Serial Keys for Premiere Pro CS6

Discovered that certain codec presets (specifically the AVCHD codec) was not available for Premiere Pro CS6 installed under Creative Cloud for Enterprise.
Understand there are two different serial numbers for use in installation. One of these serial numbers is labeled "Video," and one is labeled "Non-Video.
Where are these serial numbers located? How are the serial numbers obtained?

Here is where some additional confusion arises (reference bottom part referring to Video Serial Keys) Adobe support said that these Video Keys are to be purchased from the reseller (which makes no sense)
Error "...a sequence that could not be opened"
So, if I understand from your replies and what I have read - it is of the belief that by de-activating and re-activating will address the issue of the missing codecs. Do you believe this to be correct as well?

How to make an HD video and iphone video appear as one item in itunes?

When I buy an HD film or TV show from the iTunes store, I get an HD version and a SD version so that I can sync to my iPhone. Both videos are in the library, but they only show up as one item. However, if I have created my own HD video and want to store it in iTunes, I have to have a second item in iTunes if I want to sync the SD version to the iPhone.
Is there any way I can link to two items and tell iTunes "hey, this is an SD version of the video... so group them together as one item in the library"?

Continuos acquisition video and record video in AVI format

I want to make a continuos acquisition of video with a webcam and record video in AVI format with a number of frames per second equal to 60, and with a possibility to choose the period of acquisition in the window '' front panal '' but the problem is that when I selected an acquisition time of 1 minute supervision
video takes a time of 1 minute but I get an AVI video recorded with a duration of 15 seconds !!

I'm sorry, you didn't understand what I wanted you to do. You might have "done the right thing", but I can't be sure. Your original program (as I understood it) recorded images from the camera for a fixed period of time that you set (so you knew the recording time) -- what I wanted to know for the original camera was (a) what was the recording time and (b) how many frames were taken.
The second program that you just attached does the opposite -- it records a fixed number of frames (a better way to do this is to use a FOR loop and just wire 900 to N in the upper left hand corner). If you are going to record a fixed number of frames, then I want to know how much time it takes to record. You can do this by doing something like what is shown below (with the FOR loop example).
I realize that this is in the "wrong" version of LabVIEW, but it just involves adding two Tick Count functions to your Camera loop. If it does say that Delta-t = 15000 (15 seconds), then the main question, "Is the camera recording at 60 FPS", is answered as "Yes". In any case, we should have enough data to make your code work as you want it to.

Brand new to Bridge but it looks superb, slick and responsive.
I'm thinking I might be able to finish with the sluggish Portfolio and use Bridge instead but I notice already two features that I would miss -
1) When you're looking at a folder's contents, can bridge change the order of files to the likes of 'last added' etc?
2) In Portfolio you can control-click any image and email that file directly, very useful. Can't seem to find equivalent in Bridge.
I'm aware, by the way, that Bridge is a different product with different aims biut would be so nice to just stick with Bridge all the time...

You can change the order in which files are listed in Bridge by using the View > Sort menu. There are other useful display options in the View menu.
Bridge 1.0 doesn't have support to email images directly from Bridge, but it's a common request that we'll take into consideration for a future version. In the meantime, an enterprising third-party could use Bridge Scripting to add this functionality to the application.

After updating my iPad 3, I have almost no space left, yet I deleted all my photos, videos, and emails. What else needs to be deleted?

My iPad 3 is for school, so I take a ton of notes on notability. I just updated it recently, and I have almost no space. My iPad has a 16 GB capacity, and my usage says I have used up 13.3 GB. I deleted all my photos, all my videos, most of my music, almost all of my notes, and 75% of all my apps. But everyday it seems like there is more space being used up. I don't get it. It's making my iPad shut down randomly and is not letting me take any photos, even though I have no photos!! It is very annoying! Help!

No video when emailing video clip?

I took a video on my iPhone and want to email it to a friend. I did download it to my desktop iMac. Here are the things I've already tried.
1. I edited the clip in iPhoto and tried to email it from there, but that is not supported.
2. I then exported the clip to the desktop, drug the file to my email and it was completely blank (no video or sound).
3. I imported it into iMovie, trimmed the clip, finished the project & then shared it to the media browser. I opened a new email, added the file from the media browser, and I have sound and a still picture.
4. I've exported as a quicktime project and the clip plays in quicktime fine, but when I go to email it I have a still photo with sound.
Please, what am I doing wrong?

Still thinking about it Kristy - not sure of the solution yet.
As a test, I just dragged a movie clip from iTunes onto the Desktop. The clip was sent to me by my daughter and was taken on her iPhone 4. I dragged the clip into a new message in Mail and it plays perfectly.
So, I'm not sure what's happening with your system. What email program are you using (I'm on Apple Mail)? As the movie clip plays fine in QuickTime, possibly it's the email app that's causing the problem. Can you try using a different program?
