Viewing video streams on iPad

Can someone assist me on how to view video steams on my iPad that require adobe flash player....whenever I try I get a message that apple products do not support adobe flash player, yet on my husbands Mac he can view these videos.

That's right. There is Flash player for OS X (on the Mac) but not for iOS (on the iphone, ipod, and ipad). For some reasons, read this:

What streams are you trying to view? Some will have apps that let you see them in a different format.

  • Does anyone else have pixelating poor video streaming on iPad 2?

Hi I was wondering if anyone else has poor pixelating video streaming on iPad 2? Anytime I try to watch a video with much movement like any type of sports, like baseball and basketball the quality is poor with a lot of pixelating and blurry video. This is on the web browsing or in any of the Internet apps. Does this happen to anyone else? Just got it yesterday and have heard some people say that the quality of the MLB videos is near hd like watching tv. I appreciate anyone's help on this. Please let me know. Thanks.

Yes, I would still say it's a slow down due to either a moderate to high volume of internet traffic on the Time/Warner servers (depending of course on the time of day or day of the week) plus, maybe since this is a sports (baseball) website, it could be a slow down because of amount of internet trafiic to that site and, possibly, more people viewingthe same streaming content as you.
Also, if you have other people sharing the WiFi signal in your house and using the internet (via Wifi) this could, also, be another factor in your data connection speeds and slowdowns.
That's usually the cause for either different levels of streaming pixelization or data buffering issues.
    No doubt about it!
Hopefully your streaming experience will be better in the near future.
If you use other video streaming services, (like Netflix, Hulu/Hulu Plus, Amazon, Crackle, etc.) try viewing streaming content from those sites to see if your video streaming quality improves
Good Luck and Have fun with your iPad!

  • Viewing video stream still drops connection with firmware 1.52.06

I have a BEFW11S4 (V.4) and installed a new firmware (1.52.06). I still lose internet connection after viewing a streaming video -- such as msn.com. I have viewed other postings on the internet and it appears that there are issues with Linksys firmware. Many say don't upgrade if you want to avoid the "streaming video bug." It appears that firmware 1.50.14 is the most stable. Unfortunately, the current firmware is 1.52.02. This is strange because a few months ago I downloaded the 1.52.06. Anyway, does anyone know where I can get the 1.50.14 version? I emailed Linksys tech support several times and the conclusion they gave me is that my router is defective. I don't believe this because the streaming video problem occurred right after I installed the 1.52.06 firmware, which strangely is unavailable on the website.
    Thanks.
    Ty

I  tried using the methods to determine the correct MTU size as listed on the linksys site they didn't work for me.
Using the format, ping -f -l [MTU SIZE] yahoo.com  ,worked but the result (adding 28 to that number) the linksys would not accept.
I finally just tried changing numbers then viewing a streaming video site. and found 1472 worked okay for me.  using the current software 1.52.06

  • I cannot view videos on my ipad

I have some videos (movies and other videos) on my ipad. I was able to view them but now for some reason I cannot. When I plug my ipad into my desktop, it shows that these videos are there but when I tap on the "videos" button on the ipad nothing shows up but the sentence: "you can download videos from itunes". How do I again watch the ones that are already on my ipad that I was able to watch before?

Try this and see if it makes a difference. Close all apps in the recents tray and reboot your iPad.
Tap the home button once. Then tap the home button twice and the recents tray will appear at the bottom of the screen. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app icons. Tap the home button twice.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • E71 - Cannot view Video streams from YouTube

    Hey ther,
i recently picked up the E71, great phone, must say.
    However, i have a concern...
I tried browsing YouTube & MetaCafe using my WiFi & GPRS connection to view videos of youtube and metacafe.
The problem however is, once I click a Video thumbnail on the browser, it loads the Real Player as default. However, once the video is buffered 100%, it only plays out the Audio (sound). The Video simply doesn't show up. the RM player simply displays the loading screen.
Even if I save this video post its audio only playback and view try viewing it offline, the same result, only Audio play.
    Can someone please help??
    Thanks n rgds,
    Raj S

    Check out TubeSock.
You don't indicate which version of Panther you are using. TubeSock for Mac requires Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later.

  • View video file on iPad 2

Sorry to ask this stupid question, after sync a converted mp4 video file from my PC via iTune to my device how can I view that video file from the device ? I don't see the Video icon from the home screen on my iPad 2

Not sure if you are looking for the movie itself or the video app - but I think you are looking for the actual movie. The movie icon will not be on the home screen. The movie itself may be in the Photos app if you synced from iTunes. Look there. The other place for videos is in the video app.
If you are looking for the video app it may be on another screen. You can swipe from screen to screen to try and find it. Look in your folders as well if you have any.
You can swipe to the right from the home screen to bring up the search feature. Enter the name of the movie in the text field and search for the movie, if it shows up - tap it to begin playing the movie ..... Assuming that the movie is in the correct format. I know nothing about the formats.
One last thing that you can do to restore the video app to the home screen is to go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout. This should put the video app back on the home screen but it will also restore the home screen to the out of the box layout.

  • OK, so what's with viewing video clips on iPad?

So we got this iPad 2 already a while ago, and watching video clips has been always a challenge... YouTube has been working fine, Netflix movies -- perfect, but when going to different news or sports sites, even using those sites' apps — video clips mostly don't work, many times presenting the QuickTime icon on the screen (sometimes with audio, no video)...
I know there's been an everlasting issue with Flash Player and iPad, but isn't it time to find a workaround?  Am I missing something?
    ...Thanks...

I was more thinking of some plug-in that allows Flash Player to work on the iPad...  A browser, like Chrome or Safari means we can't use the apps that the media outlets have, and where we want to watch video clips...
    As to your 2nd claim, I don't get it, I don't get Adobe's logic...

  • Nokia N8 - video streams within websites not suppo...

Unfortunately it is not possible to view video streams that are embedded in webpages.
Is there a way to overcome this problem / are there media player/ silverlight / quicktime plugins available for the n8 internet browser or will this be included in the expected browser upgrade???

As you have already tried re-installing the Firmware and factory resetting the phone all I can suggest is that your C: and/or E: drives are running low on space. How much free space do you have on those drives?
If they are running low try freeing up some memory by clearing out your messaging folders, Email folders and the browsers cache and privacy data. For the E: drive, you may want to move some of your media content to a PC or cloud storage service for safe keeping.

  • Ipod video streaming to a browser

I am new to IOS.  My task is get the video streamed from iPad and show it in a browser using HTML5.
Can somebody help me out in finding the video output formats from iPad? Is that varies between applications??
I assume its a component 780p output. But wanted to confirm.

It might be the wireless connection between the PS3 and the BT router thats causing the picture to freeze, check the area where your PS3 is located for any interference. Maybe all you need to do is relocate the PS3.
    Cheers.

  • How do I view videos on a link to Picassa?

Any suggestions on how I can view videos on my iPad using a link to Picassa?  I can view pictures but not the videos.
    Thanks for any help.

It's possible the videos are in a format that is not  compatable with iOS. You might check the app store for Picassa compatible apps, but no guarantee that would solve the issue.

  • X100e Wireless Video Streaming SLOW

Hello,  I have a new  x100e (Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit, 2GB RAM, 250GB hard drive).  Lenovo Access Connections says my wireless connection is good (4 out of 5 bars on the indicator) and says speed is 72.0 Mbps.  When I try to view video on YouTube, it plays 3 or 4 seconds then stops with the spinning circle in the middle of the screen for another 4 or 5 seconds then plays another 4 or 5 seconds, and on and on.  It's made viewing video streams not worth the trouble.  If it is something I really want to see, I'll pause the playing and wait til it all loads - which can be a while.  I previously was using an S10 Ideapad w/ WinXP and never had this problem.  What gives?

I am also struggling with very slow data transfer speed in the same WLAN ThnkPad x100e downloads well under 10 Mbps. Strangely, the same metering service shows well over 70 Mbps with another Levovo PC, ThinkPad E320. I have done complete factory reset, all updates, including BIOS and obviously not running any CPU or bandwidth consuming applications while measuring the speed. In the photo you an see that the latency and upload sppeed are at same level, while the download speeds are massively different. Lenovo diagnostics didin't help to solve the issue.
I would really appreciate tips to solve this.

  • Recommend an app for video streaming

What are the must have apps for viewing video on an iPad

I agree with JB and JW as to their choices but like James said, it depends on your budget and it also depends upon what you subscribe to for your cable or sateliite TV.
I love HBO Go - but if you don't subscribe, it will not do you any good. The same applies to Xfinity and Showtime.
If you are looking for something free - look at Crackle, TBS, PBS, NBC, TNT, PBS ABC Player, ABC Family, Squrl...

  • Audio only when using iPad with Safari: can I view live streaming video via Safari?

I only get audio on streaming broadcasts when I click on the AirPlay Icon in the progress bar? Can anyone help me get the video to display as well?

Websites have to have content in compatible format AND also need to allow video streaming - if both conditions are not met then Airplay will often give sound only.
If iPad 2 try turning on full mirroring (Home button twice, swipe all way to right, Airplay and set Mirroring slider to on).
