I am wondering if anybody knows why I cant view some videos from online or view some pics I get in emails with a Mac. I already downloaded QT. Do I have to download anything else? Is real player downloadable to Mac? any help would be appreciated.

QT is not a universal media player/viewer application. It's ability to play/view material is dependent on the content. In some cases the content is already QT compatible. In some cases a QT component can be added to QT whill will allow the playing or viewing of material not otherwise playable. In other cases, the material is proprietary and is only playable in the originator's media application. In a limited number of instances where very old codecs were used to encoded the material a codec may be available for OS 9/Classic but not available for OS X. You must analyze the content first and only then see if a means exists to play it back.
Is real player downloadable to Mac?
If you are asking if an OS X version of the Real Player is avalable for installation, then yes, one exisits. If you are asking if Real files can be played in QT, then no -- not universally. (The Real player plays a number of encoded formats some of which can be played in QT and/or QT to which certain components have been added.)

Video camera viewing help

i have purchased a nokia 5800 xm and i can take an view pics but can only take videos not view them, its just a blank screen with no sound that runs for the length of the video taken. and when the videos are listed they all have a red star next to them

The answer to this question is no. Apparently, if you use the belkin digital camera link, you can't view the photos until after you sync with your computer on both ipod photo and ipod video. Weak.

Internet access problems and viewing video on internet

I have very limited interet access most of the time. I get a message: "You are not currently in an area that can handle data communication. ..." I have no problem with email and other features of the phone during this time. The signal at the top of my phone says "GSM". When I am able access the internet, it give me a different signal (can't remember what that is, however). Even then, I cannot view most video clips, such as YouTube clips. They will not load all the way. It states, "Error has occurred in attempting to play media." Help!

I have unlimited internet access, so that's not the problem. Right when I got the phone, I replaced the original data card with a 4G card and enabled mass storage. I have (since my first post) had more access capability by enabling the WiFi (da) which finds my wireless connection at home. I've also been able to view a video clip, not successfully all the way through, however. During viewing, the phone appears to crash, i.e. the screen goes white and then it takes 3-5 minutes for it to reboot. This has also happened when the phone has not even been being used. Also, as I was surfing the net, the phone asked if I wanted to enable Javascript which I did. Is there anything else that I need to enable or do to the phone in order to have a more pleasant experience using the internet and viewing video clips?

Can't view video in iPhoto

Can't view video in iPhoto on my iMac but I can view it on my iPad! Source of video iPhone, sent to me via email. Appears in iPhoto on my iMac as a blank folder. Using OSX 10.9.5 Maverick. Any ideas? I have the same problem with a voice recording sent to me in the same way.

That's a whole new ball game. Go the System/iCloud preference pane and uncheck the Photos check box.
In iPhoto go to its iCloud preference pane and uncheck all checkboxes.
Reboot, and go back to each preference pane and recheck those boxes. That should jumpstart the Shared Photo Streams.

Can not view video over the Internet on WVC80N

I set up the web cam, set up the port forward etc so now I am able to:
   1. view/change web cam settings inside my home network.
   2. view video inside my home network.
   3. view/change web cam settings over the Internet.
But I am not able to view video over Internet. Every time I did so (using IE browser), after clicking the view video button, I got an error : There are too many user connections or the device is busy, please try again latter.
Anyone has a fix on this? I set up port forwarding on port 1024 (that's how I can chage settings over Internet).
I spent 2 hours on the phone with Linksys tech support but they could not find the reason.

Who is your ISP? How you are trying to access your Camera from the remote location? Along with Port 1024 you need to do port forwarding for port 80 on your router for the Cameras IP address. As WVC80N works on your HTTP Port.
To access your camera from the Remote location, you need to use http://wan ip:80.

Can not view videos on you tube in firefox4 using flash player11

I'm using firefox 4 and i can not view videos on you tube.I've updated and reinstalled adobe flash player twice with no results.I've also tried the other checks,security blocking,cache,pop ups etc Works fine on IE. Hope someone has a solution.I've always liked firefox but not the newer versions and many of the changes;

I can't believe you're still running Firefox 4. Why not a newer version?
There are a number of active threads concerning the latest Flash player plugin (11.3) and the latest Firefox (12-13). Not all users are experiencing the same issues, but things to check include the following:
- Conflict with Realplayer Browser Record plugin (to disable this, open Add-ons from the orange Firefox button or the classic Tools menu and look under the Extensions and Plugins categories)
- Conflict with Flash 11.3 Protected Mode (see [http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1018071?tstart=0 Adobe Forums: How do I disable Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?])

No video in Viewer/Canvas, only audio

I use Final Cut Pro X since Day One and I survived bugs and endless beachballs on my 2011 17' Macbook Pro.
A week ago FCPX stopped playing any video in viewer/canvas while scrubbing. Only audio is audible. Impossible previewing a single clip or playing the timeline. The beachball is immediate and the program hangs and need forced exit. This happens whatever the video source is: only audio plays. Same reinstalling from scratch 10.0.4. Trashing preferences and using quickfix from Digitalrebellion didin't help.
A momentary solution has been creating a new administrator user and working from there, with many limitation and commodities I have "on the other side".
I can't identify anything particular that might have caused this! Quicktime runs fine and so do Final Cut Pro 7, iMovie and all the video compartement.
I searchead the web but nobody seems to have follen in this situation.

Merely clicking the Preview icon in the Dock doesn't cause it to open anything, unless you had one or more windows open the last time it quit.
If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test.
1. If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, triple-click the line below to select it:
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins Right-click or control-click the highlighted text and select
Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu. A folder should open. Not entirely sure what you mean, but if it's that you want to download and install flash then you can't - it is not supported on the iPad (http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/). Browser apps such as Skyfire claim to support flash bu their reviews are mixed. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store, so you could check to see if any of your favoutrite sites have apps.

Can I view videos taken on my Ipod Touch on Apple TV?

I've recently purchased my Ipod Touch 4th generation and Apple TV 2nd generation - I don't seem to be able to view videos taken on my Ipod on Apple TV. Would appreciate any feedback.

You will have to import the video into your iTunes library and convert it to an AppleTV version. You can find this option in the Advanced menu in iTunes ->create iPad or AppleTV version

Open your QuickTime control panel (either via the Control panels, or by going "Edit > Preferences > QuickTime Preferences" in the Quicktime Player). In the Advanced tab, uncheck Enable Direct3D video acceleration:
... and click OK. Quit and restart the QuickTime Player prior to checking to see if the settings change has had any effect.
