Viewing YouTube with N80 IE

I have problem with viewing Youtube videos on my N80 IE. The message on the screen says that my "flash player" says my flash player is not the latest, and asks whether I want to download a nrwere version. I go "yes' and the next message that pops up is " there is no available version of flashplayer for your device". Can someone please help ..what is wrong ? Thank you.

Hello daveaxeman,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with viewing YouTube videos on your Mac.  I recommend resetting Safari for an issue like this.
You can reset Safari by going to Safari > Reset Safari and then selecting the option to "Remove all website data."  This will clear your Safari History and Top Sites, so I recommend bookmarking the sites you would like to save before resetting Safari. You can find more information at the following link (the title of this article says Mountain Lion, but the steps are the same for Mavericks):
Safari 6 (OS X Mountain Lion): Reset Safari

I have a macbook pro running snow leopard. Just recently I cannot view youtube videos and other online videos. I recently updated my flashplayer plugin and I believe that is the problem. Is the latest flashplayer plugin compatible with 10.6.8? If this is so, I need to find an older flash player plugin to reinstall. I do not want to upgrade from 10.6.8 at this time because I have 18 yrs. worth of financial records on Quicken that I have read will not work with Lion and I've read bad things about running music programs on Maverick.

    1)  Quicken 2007 for Intel (Snow Leopard, Lion, Mt. Lion and Mavericks) is a full featured app that can be downloaded from Intuit for $15 and will work with your data file if you are using Quicken 2005, 2006 or 2007 (if you version is earlier, let me know for more instructions on easy conversion):
    http://quicken.intuit.com/personal-finance-software/quicken-2007-osx-lion.jsp
    2) Partition your hard drive, or add an external hard drive and install Mavericks there and "dual-boot" to operate your music programs in Snow Leopard and experiment with them in Mavericks.
DO NOT install Mavericks over Snow Leopard!

  • Flicker static when viewing videos with HTML5 on Youtube

    Hi Apple support community,
I am looking for advice as to how to proceed with the following experience I have had using Safari to view YouTube videos on my MacBook Retina.
As an attempt to save battery energy on my Mac, I have read that viewing YouTube videos on HTML5 vs. the default flash software will reduce the rate the battery is drained significantly. As such, I have been using HTML5 as the default viewing software for videos on YouTube for over two years now. However, a few months ago I started noticing that now when I watch videos there seems to be black and white static flicker (akin to an analog TV) that lasts for about a second and repeats sporadically during viewing. The audio is not affected at all. I have temporarily switched to reloading the replaying the videos via flash to see whether the same effect was observed, however, there seemed to be no issues when doing so.
I have an inkling that it is a software, as opposed to hardware issue, as this issue is not observed generally on the screen as a permanent fixture, nor does it occur when using any other applications, including viewing streamed videos on other websites. It seems to be localised to YouTube videos using HTML5, as the static occurs within the frame of the video playback screen, as opposed to webpage.
I am wondering whether anyone else has experienced or heard of this, and what recommendations are available for amending this issue, as though it is bearable, it is somewhat unpleasant to sit through.
    Kind regards

Are these Windows Media (.wmv) files? If so, check out http://www.flip4mac.com/download.htm
That will allow you to play Windows Media files using QuickTime.

  • Error 404 when trying to view youtube videos

Recently when I try to view youtube videos, I get error 404. I updated to version 6.0 tonight and now I get error code 404 and then Fire fox crashes. I send a crash report each time. I tried opening Fire fox in safe mode. That didn't work.

Maybe not as many people reply as you think should because this site doesn't freaking work either!
Took me ten minutes to log in! Kept getting stupid error messages telling me this site is undergoing maintenance. Whatever.
Same exact problem here, but Chrome DOES NOT work. Changing DNS servers DOES NOT work either. It doesn't work for a lot of people.

  • Cannot View Youtube........?

I am trying to view youtube.  I have downloaded Adobe 10.102.64!  I cannot view youtube.  I have windows xp. I have Internet Exploer 8  I have modzilla firefox.  I have tried installing and  uninstalling.  I have tried to apply the information, from the threads in this forum.  Any assistance will be appreciated.

Hi, ok thanks. I'm doing this in order to prepare your computer to have the best chance of Uninstalling/Installing Flash Player to be successful. I would keep Avira since it isn't as invasive as Norton and doesn't do as much damage as Norton.
Follow these steps to Uninstall Norton:
    1. http://us.norton.com/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20080710133834EN
(Select which program you have and download it from this list to your Desktop) Be sure to Download and SAVE it to your Desktop. You can disregard any info about a "Key", since you are only Uninstalling not Installing it again.
You may want to print out the instructions to use since you won't be on that site after you SAVE it to your Desktop only.
    2. Then go to Add/Remove and click on Norton there in the list and Remove from there first.
    3. Reboot(restart) your computer.
    4. Close All browser windows, you'll just be looking at your Desktop
    5.
    6. AVIRA ANTIVIR
Please navigate to the system tray on the bottom right hand corner and look for an open white umbrella on red background (looks to this: )
right click it-> untick the option AntiVir Guard enable.
You should now see a closed, white umbrella on a red background (looks to this: ) You are just disabling Avira so it won't interfere with the Removal of Norton, turn it on after Norton is Removed and you have Rebooted(restarted after the Removal of Norton)
    7. Turn Avira back on.
You may want to print these instructions out also, LOL
    Thanks,

  • HELP! Problem viewing Youtube videos.

    Hello,
I am having problems viewing Youtube videos. Everything was great until the other day. I have not changed anything on my computer to create this problem.
    Diagnosis:
when viewing videos straight from youtube.com with Safari, it loads and starts to play the video & audio. after the first second the visual video disappears and the audio keeps playing. I can scroll throughout the video, but no picture.
I do not understand, I have updated everything and still same outcome. It was working the other day fine and then boom, no video. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
    Thank you for you help,
    B

Sounds like a problem with Flash. I'd recommend visiting Adobe's web site and updating to the most current version for OS X.

  • How to view youtube videos from iphone 4 to tv using composite AV cable

    Hi,
Can any one please help me as to how to view youtube online videos on TV through my iphone 4. I tried connecting the iphone 4 and TV with a composite AV cable however I can hear only the audio but am not able to view the videos.

It seems so stupid that you cant sort videos by date. Some please tell is that we are idiots and tell us how? And if u simply cant, well a big shout out goes to google for being right on top of things. I hate google! Company is too big and they cant keep up apparently. Sooo much junk on you tube and they cant give us filter and sort options on the most widely used tablet on the market.? Gawd pleeeeze tell me im an idiot!

  • Because I don't have flashplayer installed I can't view YouTube. However I recently installed Google Chrome as an alternate browser and can view YouTube. Does that mean flashplayer installed on my computer? Or is it self contained in Chrome? Thoughts?

Because of some of the "problems" associated with FlashPlayer and the drain on the battery I have chosen Not to install it on my MacBook Air. This does limit my ability to see any media video on a website and that includes YouTube. But I decided to live without it. (Although I don't understand why I can see YouTube video on my iPhone without flashplayer) To have an alternative web browser I installed Google Chrome. Once I did that I found I can now view YouTube videos. I thought "did I install flashplayer on my computer as a result of installing Chrome?". Since I wasn't able to find it with Finder it would appear I didn't. Then I opened Safari and tried to view videos at YouTube and was told I needed to install FlashPlayer.
Now I totally confused. Do I have flashplayer or not? Is it only contained inside Chrome? Are there any consequences to my computer? Am I ultimately exposing my computer to battery drain and potential slow down problems anyway? HELP! Thoughts and opinions will be greatly appreciated.

Well... one of the benefits to Chrome is that Flash is built in and automatically updates.  I believe it only runs within the browser and it does not install in a traditional sense.  It should not impact your system whan Chrome is closed.
You can also view many YouTube videos using HTML5 instead of Flash.  HTML5 is a newer web standard that allows for viewing videos instead of Flash.  YouTube has converted many of their videos over to HTML5.  You can view them with FireFox and Safari (and Chrome if you like).  Unfortunately, I'm at work and YouTube is blocked so I can't point you to the link for using HTML5 instead of Flash.  This should be the right page:

  • Safety Mode - unable to view youtube videos

    Hello everyone
We are having an issue with being unable to view youtube videos.
The message comes up saying that we can not view the video because the computer is in the safety mode.
I have a K9 filter on the laptop and I am pretty sure that what I am trying to view is not at all risky so this is a bit of a pain and inconvenience. How do we exit the safety mode please? And what could be the reason that the computer is in the safety mode. Thank you.
As well as that, if I wanted to take my laptop to be looked at and to have a bit of a spring clean where would I take it? We have had it for three years now.
    Thank you.

    Hi
Can you please tell us which notebook model do you have and which operating system do you use?
Do you use original OS version that you got with your machine or some own OS installation?
