I use the best quality preset in compressor: web: quicktime 7 compatible: download that will result in a file size that will be accepted by vimeo. Usually either the h.264LAN or h.264 800 kbs. Both look great for SD.

An email sent from my iMac has a button linked to a clip hosted on Vimeo. When received, the link functions on iMac and iPad, but opens a window of app icons on iPhone and iPod touch. Any ideas what's wrong?
For anyone else reading this thread, it is worth knowing that sometimes an email is, or can be, corrupted thereby jamming the works. The solution above is good, but I just wanted to suggest another one.
If the problem arises, go to an online mail access service, such as Mail2Web.com and login to you mail account there and delete the offending message.
Problem solved.
And George, as this is all entirely voluntary, whinging about no takers may not endear people to you. Besides which, a few minutes of searching on Google would have found you a number of solutions. -
Can't export iMovie 10.0.1 to Vimeo or anywhere else
Just started using iMovie 10.0.1 and can't export or share a thing. Get rendering error 50 when trying to upload to Vimeo (and this ia a small file too).
Just as a side note, I've been using iMovie for well over 5 yrs but this is the first time I've ever experienced continual problems using an Apple product. I don't know why they took a successful software, changed it and in doing so, ruined it.
So my question to all you smart people out there is how does one export without experiencing rendering error 50???Let me make sure I understand correctly what you're doing:

When you connect your phone to itunes, do you get any pop ups? If you do, click cancel. Click the button, check for update, is this where you're getting that error message? Are you on a windows pc or a mac? If you're on a windows pc, make sure BEFORE you connect your phone that you disable your anti-virus software, turn off your firewall, disable any malware software & see if that will let you upgrade. On a 3gs, to install any firmware(assuming you're running the latest version of itunes), itunes HAS to contact apple's servers. -

I can not view ANY videos on Vimeo, I have 'reset' the Ipad, original IOS 5, cleared the history and cookies, I haves changed the DNs number to 8.8.8.8, I have worked on this for 3 days now, HELP!!!!
Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.

I'm pretty new to Muse so I don't know a lot about it, but I researched a lot and didn't find an answer to this question.
I'm trying to make a portfolio website. The website will be a 12 thumbnails. But each thumbnail is one project, not an image.
When you click one of the thumbnails, I want it to be a lightbox that will show embeded videos from vimeo mixed with images.
Ex: A coca-cola projet.
Main page has a thumbnail of a coca cola image. When you click on it, it opens a lightbox with a coca-cola film, when i click to the right arrow, it shows a cocacola poster, then another poster, then another video. (but they are all part of this gallery, that is inside the thumbnail.
Can you guys help me?

I dragged a composition lightbox inside another one. But I still have the first lightbox there and can't delete.
When I try my wabsite i see this:

Like it is making a double lightbox.
but it doesn't show the images, it's like the first lightbox is on top of the second one.

I'm having trouble understanding why my orginal video looks one way when I view it, but then when I upload it to Vimeo, it looks differently. It seems like the FPS have changed? Seems much smoother when I play the orignal but choppier when I upload it to Vimeo...anyone know why?In Compressor, after you have applied your Vimeo Pre-Set, go to the inspector window and click on the Encoder button, the second button over, and click on the video settings button:
When you click on the Video Settings button, another window will open - set the frame rate to 29.97 and click OK:
Then submit as usual.

Droplet for animated giff in Photoshop?
Is it possible to set up a Droplet for Photoshop that could receive multiple files and export them out as one animated gif?
I am trying to place three files into a Droplet I have made for Photoshop with the Actions set so that it converts them into a three frame animation but it doesn't work.
The Actions I have set up are:
Create Frame Animation
Make Frames from Layers
Set Selection:- To: all
Set current animation frames:- To: animation frames Delay: 3
Are the actions wrong or is it not possible as a Droplet to do this?
Thank youThat will get ugly... You will have to open them up individually, use the animation timeline in frame mode and then use copy&paste frame by frame. The other option would be the frames to layers conversion, but it would similarly entail shuffling around many layers. You'd have it much easier if your images were genuine video files. That way you could simply load them as video layers and treat them as self-contained whole entities...

Retaining original filenames in Save For Web droplet
Automation from LR to PS is going groovy, but,
The output files are all being renamed by the 'save for web' dialogue box to the filename saved inside the action that the droplet points to..
So file #1 is saved ok,
File #2 renamed as file #1 and replaces/overwrites original file #1..
I have added a sequence 4 digit number to the file name in the droplet creation dialogue box but the final file rename happens after this in the final process of 'Save for Web' export..
This is what I want to do.. Ideally..
LR Raw file edited to taste,
Export as watermarked TIF to PS
Action a high pass filter,
Export through Save for Web @ 1200px long - 75% quality
Close TIF without saving.

Nope, I didn't change any names.. or do you mean I automatically/inadvertantly change the name when recording the 'save for web' step?
In your image above, mine looks similar but the filename is that of the file I need to have open in need to record an action..
In my case, using your example, all my exported files would be renamed 'webnamed.jpg'
and overwrite each export one by one...
What is it I'm not getting??? !!
How can you record an action without an open file, that the 'action record process' records THAT filename and makes it sticky in the action..

I have had issues making droplets in Windows Vista ( hit or miss ) and now I can't get it to work in Windows 7.

Need help with actions and droplets
I've created an action, but it won't OPEN a file, I have to open the file manually, then start the action. I need this action to work in a droplet for over 300 images, so it would REALLY be nice if I could automate the entire process. My action is:
OPEN - 324 PSD files
CROP - to specific demensions, resolution
EXPORT - Save for web as a jpeg
CLOSE - close this file and loop to the next

Open raw as smart object using droplet

Rather than a droplet opening a raw file in a regular layer, is it possible to open the raw file as a smart object so that the object can be edited in Camera Raw later on?

PaulClick on the Worksflow Options link at the bottom of the ACR window and then deselect Open in Photoshop as Smart Objects. Click OK then Click Done.

How do I create a 5.1 surround droplet from Compressor?
In the compressor manual it specifically suggests that the user create a droplet in order to automate the process of encoding and combining split surround files.
"Assigning Files to Surround Sound Channels with Droplets
You can further streamline the channel assignment process by encapsulating the “automatic” method described above in a Droplet."
It also suggests a file-naming scheme to use so that Compressor automatically recognizes and properly assigns each file to the proper track in the 5.1 mix.
No matter what I try, however, the droplets I create in an effort to do this refuse to accept the input files I provide them. The droplets allow me to drag in virtually any audio file (mono, stereo, even 5.1 surround), BUT if those input source files contain any of the character strings that the manual suggests to use, ie. "-L", "-R", "-LFE", etc., it will not let me add them to the source file queue. If I remove these suffixes from the files (although they are followed by file-type suffixes, such as "aiff", like they should be), then I can drag the files into the droplet queue without any difficulties whatsoever, but then, I presume, Compressor has no way of properly assigning these tracks in the output file, so changing the file names is inimical to my objective.
Has anyone done this? I feel like I've tried everything. If I drag the same properly named files into the batch window in the Compressor app itself, it recognizes them any without difficulty and labels the batch as "surround". I have an enormous number of split surround files, however, and I don't want to have to drag each set into the Compressor window manually. I want to automate the process using a Droplet, just like the manual suggests!
I've already posted in the Compressor 4 forum (which is what I'm using), and haven't received any responses yet so I figured I give this forum a try.bump
