Vintage look in Elements 11, help me.

I'm trying do to this in Elements;

However, Elements doesn't have the function "Inner shadow". Is there any way of getting this inner shadow in Elements?
And also. Step 3 doesn't look the same in Elements.
Also, can't find step 7 in Elements.
Have been trying to achieve the same effect, but I can't.
Anyone out there who can try to copy this in Elements?

Well, if you google for "cross-processing photoshop elements" you'll find tutorials that are much better suited to PSE. However, there are indeed inner shadow layer styles in PSE 11:
For step 7 you could add a gradient fill layer in overlay blend mode

"Your current audio hardware selection dos not have any input channels." My question, therefore: Do I need to buy an external microphone? I have an HP Pavilion Laptop, running WIndows 8.1. I thought I had a built-in microphone. But ,maybe not. Please help. Also, WHAT KIND of microphone - exactly - should I buy? Thanks for your help.

Go to Edit Menu/Preferences/Audio Hardware and ASIO tab and click on it.
Under the Input tab, make sure that you have your microphone selected.

Well, first, just make sure it's the Mac version and not the Windows version (which indeed would not run on your Mac). You say "Windows Office" which is why I mention it. I think you probably just mean "Microsoft Office" though.
Next, is this on a disk (DVD), or did you purchase and download it from the Microsoft site?

under help for what I need to know but Elements Organizer help... will not open. In the dock "i" starts to
come up but closes again. Anything I do wrong? What do you think out there?

Looking for friends to help me get over a breakup

PSN MAGIIK-STICKZ Hello All, This is very embarrassing and quite silly that I have to do this really. It's scary that I have to turn to the Internet to look for friends to help me in this time of need. In the beginning of the month my girl friend left me, we was together for 4 years, we had our ups and downs but we always remained strong. She told me she wanted to be with me forever and I wanted the same. I've only just turned 19 so this was my first relationship. Don't want to get into too much details why she left me, but I will tell you that she has already moved on after only leaving me for a month. The pain hurts so much and I'm trying to move on because I can't... Because I have no friends... I mean I have friends but they're definitely not the ones you can count on in this situation. They're more "Gym Bros" I believe if I can find people to group with, play games with, literally just talk to that would be amazing for me. I just needs things to take my mind off of her and I believe talking to new people will do that. We don't even have to play games, I'm very open to you just in-boxing me on PlayStation to socialize. I'm opened to both males and females but if there are any females you would be helping a lot! I cut off all female ties for her for 4 years and now I have no female acquaintances so It would be nice to get experience talking to other females again just to boost my confidence back. I understand what I am asking for might sound like a lot, and I definitely understand how needy I sound, but this was my last resort of trying to get over her as quickly as I can. I've been in a really really REALLY Dark Place for the past month and I can't take it anymore. My psn/PS4 is MAGIIK-STICKZ Inbox me and I will be forever grateful !

Photoshop elements 6 help with making a clipping mask

I have a button template (for a pinback) I put into elements. What I would like to do is make a country flag button. Right now the flag image is sitting ontop of the template. I would like to make a clipping mask (I think that's what's it's called) so that the image covers the entire part of the button that will be seen when it is printed. Here is a link to a button. Updated to windows 8.1 now can't install Photoshop Elements 12, HELP PLEASE

I am having such a terrible time getting Photoshop Elements 12 to install on my computer. I've had Dell software support and Adobe support's help but they could only get to the point of JUST the editor being installed. The organizer and the ability to go online never gets installed. After all the files are downloaded and the installation begins a box comes up and wants to uninstall the program. I couldn't get past this part but the software tech got past it. I have spent hours and days trying to get this installed. I've been a big fan of Adobe products but this is the first time I haven't gotten the HELP I need. It has to be a software issue because i've downloaded other programs with no problems. I even went out and brought an external cd/dvd burner and tried installing from the hard cd only to have the same problem pop up. If it helps, I got the Windows 8.1 update maybe this is the problem. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP ME!!!

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Notebook and the brightness control on Windows 8.1 not working correctly after an update. I would uninstall all the display adapters that are in the device manager and restart the Notebook. Check to see if if it put an adapter back in , right click on the driver and update.
If that does not help I would uninstall the Graphics drivers restart the Notebook and it should reinstall the correct driver for you.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that need updating.
I would be happy to assist if needed. How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?

Premiere Elements - Organizer Help/Question.

I have another posting out here but maybe I am not being clear enough so I will pose the question another way.
I have a .mp4 file which contains 60 short pieces (happens to be football highlights) all strung together as one contiguous video.
What I am simply trying to do is to break it down for making a handful of highlight videos, each with a different angle. (ex Offense, Defense, Rushing, Passing, etc)
This is the basic outline of how I logically see it happening. Problem is that I am can't figure out step 2:
1) Cut it down into 60 individual videos (which I did and currently have in my project) using the Split/Clip functions of Elements.
2) Save the pieces off as individual video clips so that they can be rated/ranked/categorized in Organizer.
3) Polish/edit the individual pieces.
4) Organize and assemble the various videos using the clips.
For the life of me I can't get
a) Elements to allow me to save of my projects as individual clips.
and
b) Get the Organizer to allow me to bring my clips in.
I am using PE 11.
Does this make sense? Does anyone have any insight to offer?

Ok, sounds good.
I will just have to squirrel away copies of my project then build my different flavors the hard way.
I may be look at other tools before I resort to that. I just hate to go through the headache of breaking it all down again but in the long haul could be worth it.
This just seems like the hard way to go about this task but then again I am a software guy and think in terms of reusable components. Maybe that mentality just doesnt work for video.

Thanks Bill, what I was looking for was just the reference, I have Premier Pro 1.5 and it works a tad different to PE8
But this seems to be an ongoing problem with Adobe, changing the location of legacy Help PDF's - happened with a few of the Photoshop CS versions - guess they think everyone will upgrade to the latest and greatest

looking for help with elements 12 installaton. i installed and everytime i click on icon a window appears asking me for adobe user name and password, after i put it in the window just disappears. Anyone else have this problem and what should i do?

Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 HELP PLEASE

I have never been so frustrated with an Adobe product in my life. I just "upgraded" from Elements 10 to Elements 12- and I use the term "Upgraded" loosely, because quite frankly I can't get 12 to do Anything that I want to.
1. How do you pin the toolbars (tool options) and taskbars to the TOP of the editor like they were in Elements 10? Having the items on the bottom is a nightmare and I have to keep constantly scrolling to find what I need instead of just clicking and using it.
2. Why are the photos so pixelated and grainy looking? I have 6-12 mb photos that look like they're 50kb photos that have been blown up to 8x10 size. How is someone supposed to edit or add to a photo when it looks so grainy to begin with at 25-60%? If you reduce a large photo to 15% you can't even tell what it's supposed to be! It's as though it's trying to resize the image to display it for web instead of showing the actual pixel size, etc. How do I fix this, the other versions of photoshop did not ruin photos like this . . .
For example- load a photo- it looks like hell, it's all grainy and pixelated. If you click on "Add glow" it will take the same photo and remove the pixelation and display in 4x6 or 8x10 size, etc and be clear as a bell. Why does it pixelate the dang photos- I am so completely frustrated with this, adobe 10 does NOT ruin photos like this when you're trying to edit them!!!
If you choose "Fit screen" you cannot edit the photo because you can't tell what the item really looks like. You have to literally save it, open it with a different program altogether and then look to see whether it needs more edits.
3. How do you add text in a custom shape?
4. How do you change the transparency of a custom shape?
5. Can you change the color of the background of Elements 12? Right now it is a putrid Gray color that washes out the colors of the photos and is extremely distracting when trying to edit photos.
Thanks in advance, I am so ready to pack up this program and ship it back right at the moment!!!

2. There have been a few posts about the initial preview. Apparently the algorithm was changed in PSE11 from Bicubic Sharper to plain Bicubic (which is faster). The workaround was to change display view to 100%. Any subsequent changes to the view then display properly. There was also some suggestion that the initial preview was based on a thumbnail - but there seemed to be some disagreement as to whether that was correct or not. Note though that displaying at anything other than 100% is going to be scaled and not representative of your true pixels.
5. I think the background colour change may be Mac specific. It doesn't work for me in Windows 7.

As a happy user of the Matrox RT.X2 for many years, and later an equally happy user of a Matrox MXO2, I can say from experience that it is highly unlikely that this problem has anything to do with the Matrox hardware!
Can you open a new blank project, and save it?
If you cannot import your faulty project into a new project, can you import the sequence from your faulty project?
Have you tried clearing the Media Cache, clearing your preferences, etc. - all among the techniques used to resurrect a Premiere Pro project that has gone bad???

My graphic card is: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT (Microsoft corporation-WDDM v1.1)
The minimum requirements for the plug ins are: Magic Bullet Looks supports a wide range of cards from both ATI or NVIDIA. For ATI cards, we require a 9600 XT or greater, or an X series card starting with the X700 series. Cards with greater model numbers and at least 128 MB of RAM can run the Looks engine.
For NVIDIA cards, we support the 6600 model and higher or QuadroFX 1300 and up. Cards with higher model numbers and a minimum of 128 MB of RAM can run Looks. For users working with HD images, we require that the video card have at least 256 MB of RAM. In all cases, we suggest using the latest video drivers for your graphics card.
Please Note Since all media is processed at 32 bit, you will absolutely need a 256 MB graphics card or larger. For newer cards from ATI and NVIDIA, we recommend a minimum of 320 MB of RAM. For 2K projects, we recommend 512 MB or a larger amount of RAM on the graphics card.
