Virgin Mobile iPhone 5

I know that Virgin Mobile themselves just released the iPhone 5 and it is available at Virgin Mobile and Radio Shack, but when it will be arriving at Best Buy or bestbuy.com?

Good morning criswellblc,
Thank you for your interest in purchasing the iPhone 5 from Best Buy. I would recommend that you continue checking BestBuy.com and/or your local stores for availability.
Best wishes,

If I buy an unlocked iPhone 5 can I replace my virgin mobile iPhone 4s or will it not work with virgin mobile?

  • HT201328 Want to go overseas and need my virgin mobile iPhone 5 unlocked so I can use it in europe.  Called VM and they said it can't be done.  That doesn't make any sense.. What can be done?

Have Virgin Mobile iPhone 5 and they said it can't be unlocked.  Reason to get it unlocked is so I can use the phone when travelling in Europe.   This is crazy because I also payed for the phone in full...  Also, what happens if you move to a region in the U.S. and service is bad...Your stuck with an expensive brick.. Any way to get it unlocked?

Not all carriers unlock their phones.  They are under no legal obligation to do so in many places.

  • Virgin Mobile iPhone 4 won't receive texts from any service but Sprint?

I bought a Virgin Mobile iPhone the other day and activated it and everything seems to work fine except for the fact I can't receive text messages. At first, I thought I couldn't receive any texts at all. Then I received a text from my sister, who is on the Boost Mobile network (which I believe runs on Sprint). I have called Virgin Mobile so many times over this issue and they have basically told me they don't know why it is doing this. Does anyone know why this could be happening or what I can do? And also, I bought the $55 unlimited everything plan.

Did you Find a solution ?

Can i use a Virgin mobile iPhone 5s on verizon?

No. If you want to use Verizon, you will need to purchase a Verizon phone.

  • Virgin Mobile iphone screen cracked. Is there anything Apple can do about it?

I bought my iphone 4 at Best Buy less than a year ago. My servicer is Virgin Mobile and I just dropped my iphone on its face and the corner of the screen cracked. I was wondering if there is anything Apple can do about this, before I go and pay to get this repaired somewhere? I Already checked the Virgin Mobile 1-year warranty and it didn't help

Make an reservation to see an Apple Genius at the Apple Store nearest you.
Make sure you indicate the problem with the phone when you make the reservation.
They can help you find a solution.
    Cheers

  • Is it possible to have a Virgin Mobile Iphone 5s, moved over to Sprint Contract?

    Hey all!
So I have been wanting an Iphone 5s as a second phone for a while, and now that virgin mobile is offering an INSANE deal on it, I want to jump on it. With that said, I am currently on Sprint for the next year and a half or so and do not want to pay a second round of phone bills for 2 different phone numbers. So I was wondering, since Virgin runs off of Sprint's network, the Iphone model should be the same. How easy would it be to transfer the Iphone from Virgin over to Sprint? If its even possible at all. Thanks!

No. It's locked permanently to VM.

  • Can i unlock virgin mobile iphone?

can i unlock iphone 4s from virgin mobile?

Virgin Mobile in the US will not unlock your iphone nor any brand of phone.
This in an email from them on Dec 29, 2013:
"You will be unable to activate your iPhone 4S on another carrier since
we do not provide unlock codes to any of our phones. We are sorry about
    that."
A customer service rep also told me that they are planning to provide unlock service "in the future"
BTW: the iPhone 4S and later are 5 band phones, so if you could get it unlocked via jailbreaking or other means, you could use it on a GSM (SIM card) network.
Final Point: People complaing that they payed Virgin Mobile "full price" for their iPhone, so should be able to get it unlocked. This is actually not true. Virgin Mobile charges at least $100 less than Apple does for an unlocked phone.

  • I have virgin mobile iphone that i found, the power button doesn't work and the phone is now saying disalbed what can i do to fix it

I have a virgin moble iphone that i found, the power button doesn't work and the phone is saying disabled, what can i do to fix it?

Probably nothing, the phone has a high likelihood of being stolen and if you try to Restore it you will run into Activation Lock. Turn it in to the local authorities.

  • Can I take my sim card out of my virgin mobile iphone 5 and put it inside an apple iphone 6

Switching my sim card to a newer phone? Please help!

All iPhones are Apple iPhones so I'm not sure precisely what distinction your trying to make. However, there's no reason you can't move a SIM from one compatible phone to another as long as they will both work on the same network.

  • Does The iphone 5s on Virgin Mobile support CDMA or GSM?

so I'm going on a carnival cruise later this year and theyre talking about how their internet connection requires cdma or gsm to be able to use data and i just want go make sure my phone has it.

Even if WHAT is in the Bahamas?
You will have to pay international roaming charges outside of your home country. If it's a US Virgin Mobile iPhone, it's CDMA. If it's from another country, it's GSM.

  • Virgin Mobile unlocks iPhones for free?

I currently have an HTC phone on Virgin Mobile, which has given me pretty good service for the monthly rate. I want to upgrade to the iPhone 5s and continue to use Virgin Mobile since it has given me such good service. However, I will be moving out of state next year and am worried that Virgin Mobile will not provide good service there, so just in case I want to be able to switch my iPhone to a different carrier. Virgin Mobile says they will unlock iPhones purchased from them for free (https://community.virginmobile.com.au/t5/Phones-knowledge-base/How-do-I-unlock-m y-Apple-iPhone/ta-p/80), but after doing some research, apparently it is really hard to switch carriers on a Virgin Mobile unlocked iPhone since they use CDMA. Sorry, I am not a techie, so am really unfamiliar to all of this. Will someone explain what that means, and if I would be able to potentially switch carriers?
    Thanks!

Several confusing pieces of information here.
First, the link to Virgin Mobile in the first post is for Virgin Mobile Australia. They will unlock their phones if you ask them.
Virgin Mobile USA is a different company (in a different country) and does NOT unlock phones.
Second, the iPhone sold on Virgin Mobile USA does have a SIMM card slot, even though VM network is CDMA. These iPhones are hybrids and have radio circuitry that supports both CDMA (Verizon, Sprint, VM USA), as well as GSM (T-Mobile, AT&T in US, as well as the rest of the world). When activated on Virgin Mobile, phone uses CDMA and the SIMM card is inactive (as well as the circuitry supporting it). However, when you put an active SIMM card (for example, T-Mobile's), the phone should be able connect to a GSM network. The problem is, this doesn't work because the SIMM slot is locked and doesn't allow SIMM cards from other carriers.
Virgin Mobile iPhones are somewhat different from other American carriers, and it appears that there is no unlocking solution for these. I have searched the web thoroughly and haven't been able to find anyone who would be able to unlock an iPhone sold by Virgin Mobile USA, so that it can be used with a SIMM card of another mobile carrier (domestic or foreign). For iPhones on Verizon, unlocking isn't even necessary; they are CDMA phones, which means that the CDMA circuitry can only be activated on Verizon (therefore no Sprint or Virgin Mobile), but the SIMM slot is unlocked and can be used with any global carrier. With AT&T and T-Mobile, unlocking is required, since the two are GSM operators which use SIMM cards, so the phone is locked to the carrier. Unlocking can be done, in some cases (if you've been a customer long enough) even by the carrier itself, and there are third-party unlocking services out there. Unfortunately, Virgin is the only one where this, for some reason, cannot be done.

  • Where do small CDMA carriers get there iPhones? Like (nTelos, Golden State Carrier, Virgin Mobile)

I was wondering what the activation process of my Golden State Cellular iphone 5 would be because I don't have the sim and i want to use it as an iPod. Oh and do CDMA Iphone 5z require a sim to activate? or are they just for LTE?

Import the photos on the android to the photo app on your computer, then sync them to your iPhone using iTunes.
