Hi Look on this,,,
Pre-Installation Checklist
Compliance Calibrator installation contains two parts:
1) Compliance Calibrator Java Front End Package;
2) Access Controls RTA (Real Time Agent).
It is imperative to make sure that all the pre-requisites mentioned in the section
2.2.1 are satisfied before beginning the installation process.
Download the Java front end package as well as the Real-Time Agents from
the SAP Service Marketplace for the appropriate SAP backend R/3 or mySAP
ERP systems. For further details, please refer to the Product Availability Matrix
(PAM) located on SAP Service Marketplace. Please note that the Access
Controls RTA needs to be only installed if it has not been already
installed with another Access Controls module (e.g. Compliance
Calibrator).
Install the non-HR RTA on the backend SAP R/3 or mySAP ERP systems.
Install the HR RTA if there is an HR component in the system (Check the
SPAM transaction in the ABAP stack for the HR component.) .The screenshot
below shows the imported VIRSA HR and VIRSA NHR RTA s via transaction
Please refer the installation guide and SAP Notes 723909, 70228, 179116,
458731, which are related to the installation of Compliance Calibrator
Post-Installation Checklist
Confirm the deployment of CC 5.2 files, which include the NetWeaver
database, J2EE Library and UME Actions and Permissions on SAP WAS 6.40
or above
Confirm the installation of CC 5.2 RTA on the target system. This includes the
installation of both HR and non-HR RTAs for the SAP-HR system and only the
non-HR RTA for SAP systems without the HR component.
Confirm the configuration of SLD and JCo destinations to connect to a
particular backend system and perform risk analysis for that system. Please
refer section 3.5 of this guide which discusses the procedure of configuring
SLD and JCo Destinations.
Confirm the configuration of the Internet Graphics Server (IGS). (Please refer to
the Installation guide for the configuration of IGS for UNIX and Windows
systems for both the Java stack and ABAP stack.)
Create a role in the UME for all CC actions (all actions of the pattern
com.virsa.cc.*).
Confirm the status of NetWeaver J2EE Server as Running from
http://<server_ip>:5<instance_number>00/index.html
Confirm the status of the Data Supplier Bridge as Running from

• Re: Virsa Compliance Calibrator & Pre-defined SOD Rule Set

Hi All,
We have installed the Virsa Compliance calibrator 5.1 in our sandbox environment. When we goto the "Rule Architect" tab under Compliance calibrator using tcode /virsa/zvrat it brings up the page with Rules information.
Per the Virsa documents that i read they have mentioned that there are pre-defined SOD Rules (Transaction codes and Tcode objects) that we can use in the Rule Architect.
My question is how do i enable and use those pre-set SOD Rules that Virsa provides by default. I do not see them under the Rule architect tab though. Can someone give some pointers to use these pre-set SOD rules.
Thanks & Regards

Hi Laziz,
Thanks for your patience in replying to my CC 5.1 queries. I did follow your steps for the Generate Rule & Background Job-> Schedule Analysis and scheduled the job immediate.
However, when i looked up the status of the scheduled analysis Background Job-> Search pulls up the job i scheduled at the top it reads "Job scheduler Status: unknown error" . I clicked on "View Log" button and it shows some messages as shown below (Note: I am just posting some parts of the error msgs below. but it still goes for 1 page...)

• Update on Management View in VIRSA Compliance Calibrator 5.2

Hello,
is there a way to delete the Data for the Management View in VIRSA Compliance Calibrator 5.2 and then make a full new data load.
When I select Full Synchronisation and Management Reports in the Schedule Analysis, the system does not update the Management View correctly, the Management Report shows still roles which are already deleted in the SAP-System.
Thanks

Hi,
You can do a Full sync of Users and Roles first which will be ovewrite and then run the Batch Risk Analysis Management Reports.
You can try this exercise first if it does not work then go ahead with Alpesh's advice.
Thanks

• 4.6C to ECC 6.0 upgrade - Issue with Virsa Compliance Calibrator

The issue is that phase IS_SELECT during the PREPARE is not detecting VIRSA as an add-on. This of course will result in VIRSA not being upgraded and the system will be unstable ( note 989368 ). Also, I can't choose to delete the add-on either.
We installed the compliance calibrator before SAP purchased VIRSA. So, the tool was installed through transports, not SAINT. I assume this is why phase IS_SELECT is not seeing the tool.
Any ideas?
-Scott

Received a reply from SAP. Since VIRSA was installed through STMS the IS_SELECT phase will not see the add-on. I had to do the ECC 6 upgrade as normal and then install VIRSA 4.0 for SAP 700 systems through SAINT.
I had to clear SPDD and SPAU as much as possible for /VIRSA/* objects. However, there were six objects I could not clear. This did not cause any issues.
Notes 1006083 and 985617 are needed for this procedure.
Thanks for all the suggestions.

• How to get the transaction by function out of VIRSA in an easy way

Hi collegues,
I'm looking for a simple solution / query to extract a list out of VIRSA compliance calibrator (5.2). The list should bring up the transaction codes by function.
e.g.
PM01 - ca87
PM01 - ip30
If possible please name the table in VIRSA where this information is stored so I can do a simple query in the SQL-view
thanks a lot
Matthias

Hi Matthias,
in RAR 5.3 you can use the download function of the rule architect. There you get information about tables, functions, actions and permissions.
I don't know if you have this function in VIRSA compliance calibrator 5.2. I started my career with 5.3

• Need to create a 1-sided matrix in Virsa CC5.2 for (132) sensitive actions

Hello
I need to set up sensitive transactions in Virsa Compliance Calibrator 5.2 , in addition to the out of the box global rule set. Our company tracks 132 sensitive transactions in SAP like PA40 for example. I need to be able to have CC 5.2 give me a list of all users that have access to any of the 132 transations. So I would want to run a report in Virsa CC5.2 and it needs to provide me with the names/IDs of the users that have access to the action PA40. Display/Add/Create etc. it does not matter I just need to know who can perform the action. I believe there should be a way to create a one-sided matrix with the 132 sensitive transactions on one side. I tried putting a few in a Function ID, and creating a Risk with just that function but it is not pulling up any matches, when I am sure there should be some. Can you please let me know how to create the one sided matrix in CC5.2 if you can.
Please help if possible.
Thank You

Hello Vince,
The logic that transactions within a function use to calculate a risk on Critical action Level is "OR".
Thus, for your scenerio what you can do is to create a Function and add all the transaction to it. Then, define a Critical Action risk with this single function only. That should do the work for you. Thus anytime, any role or user has one or more of these transactions, this will show up as a risk in your reports.

• Which Virsa product to download

Hello everyone
I am trying to download Virsa compliance calibarator & Role Expert.
I could not find much information in installation guide. Can anyone please let me know
which Virsa to download for CC and RE. In SAP Marketplace ..i noticed the following and try to
know which to dowload.
VIRSAHR510 700
VIRSANH510 700
VIRSAHR510 700
Thanks everyone

Hi
We are planning to install SAP GRC Access Control products (VIRSA
tools) on our SAP ERP server (ECC 6.0). We want to install the
following 4 GRC components.
1.Virsa Compliance Calibrator
2.Virsa Access Enforcer
3.Virsa Role Expert
4.Virsa Firefighter
Our SAP system environment is as follows:
ECC 6.0 release
AIX UNIX 5.3 OS release
Oracle 10G database release
Ours is an ABAP stack installation.
We have implemented SAP_HR 600 component of SAP HR module.
I have reviewed the following SAP notes on this subject:
Note 1001782 - VIRSAHR 520_700 Install or Delta Upgrade on SAP_BASIS 700Note 994917 - Install GRC Access Control VIRSANH 4.0 on SAP 700 Non-HR
As per these notes, Installation of VIRSA is installing the related add-on component to the SAP system. I am little bit confused over the VIRSA installation on ECC 6.0.
I am looking for clarification on the following queries:
1.Is it true that installation of VIRSA is installing the SAPK-
523COINVIRSAHR (K-523COINVIRSAHR.CAR) add-on component to the system as per the above note?
2.I noticed that there are different notes for installing VIRSA to HR
vs Non-HR systems, Is there any specific steps to follow while
installing VIRSA on a HR system?
3.Do we need JAVA stack to be installed for VIRSA to work?
regards
Srinivas

• What is the relation between Virsa and GRC?

Gurus:
Because I am between projects so that I dont have the access to the SMP. Would you please
explain it here?
Thanks!!

Hi,
Regarding GRC you can get information from the below site.
http://www.sap.com/about/press/Press.epx?PressID=6247
Actually the GRC Access Control - Risk analysis and remediation v5.2 is formely known as Virsa Compliance Calibrator. The below site gives you a Implementer Quick Reference Guide.
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/2009bbbf-23aa-2910-70af-882e63d147be
From the above two sites you can have a clear understanding of GRC and Virsa.

• UME vs ABAP Security for VIRSA

We installed Virsa Compliance Calibrator & Access Enforcer and trying to configure security in UME to control user access so that besides action level security, we need further restriction on for example, Functional Area, cost center & department access. Does UME have lower level authorization restriction capabilities similar to that of ABAP authorization object level security? If not, how can we utilize ABAP Virsa security objects to control JAVA front end access?
Your advise is much appreciated.
Thanks,

Hi Jessica,
I am not an expert on this, but I am pretty sure you can develop actions that include such restrictions. Start here:

• Updating Compliance Calibrator Rule Set

The business has decided to change a few rules by removing a couple of custom tcodes from the rule set. In DEV I go into the Function and remove the objects associated with the tcode and disable the tcode. After running the rule set update there is still some sort of tie. I have created a test ID in DEV with a known issue around each of the changes. I'm not getting a different result when running compliance calibrator.
Any ideas?
We are running R/3 4.6C and compliance calibrator 4.0

Can you please check the following demo?

• Virsa global rule matrix

Hello,
Is it possible to download the global rule matrix in Virsa compliance calibrator? Also, any guides which can explain how to interpret the CC reports? I'm getting different results for the same user when running the report at tcode level as compared to auth object level. Thank you for your responses.
Vijaya

It is surely possible to download the global rule matrix if you have the appropriate administrator authorities for CC.
The CC reports at the Tcode level and Auth objects level would look different since at the auth object levels you are dealing with conflicts at the permission level, which would be more detailed.

But I am able to take the debug window
http://hostname:50200/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/grc~ccappcomp/BgJobStart?debug=1
Do you have any tips?

Yes, try the correct URL for calling CC
http://hostname:50200/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/grc~ccappcomp/ComplianceCalibrator
This is the URL since CC 5.2 SP05, before it was
http://hostname:50200/webdynpro/dispatcher/virsa/ccappcomp/ComplianceCalibrator
The first one should apply to you.
Kind regards,
Daniela
