Virtual PC - Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0

Has any one tried install Visual C++ 6.0 on Virtual PC ? Am very interested in getting an iBook. But I work with VC++ mainly. That would be the main factor that stops me from buying a mac.

You can do it, but it would be extremely slow. I use VS .NET 2005 on a 2003 VM and it is fairly painful. Even typing text is rather slow. Compiling, etc. is even worse.

  • Sap business one studio 9.0 for microsoft visual studio 2010

    Hi Experts,
    After added a new project, Sap business one 9.0 Add-on Project, that project can't be loaded in Visual Studio 2010.
    When try to re-load the project in the Solution Explorer, the project stays as (unavailable), and the next line says, The project file was unloaded.
    I'm using :
    - Windows 7 professionnel 64 bits. (With no virtual machine)
    - Sap business one studio for Microsoft studio 32 bits. (Visual Studio  2010)
    - Sap business one studio 32 bits. (PL12)
    I've already tried to :
    -  Reload the project in the contextual menu.
    -  Run Visual Studio as Administrator.
    So VisualStudio, B1, DI-API and SBO Studio are all on the same version. (32 bits)
    [I've installed before B1 64 bits, but it did't work with visual studio 2010, because visual studio 2010 is available just in 32 bit version. so i uninstalled everything]
    NB  : I'm still in evaluation period of SAP Businness one 9.0.
    Can u please help me to solve this problem.
    Thank you a lot.
    Regards,
    Amine

    Hi, everyone

  • Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error when syncing ipod

    When I'm at the end of ipod setup and I click done.. I get this "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" error.
    It says: C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe
    R6025
    - pure virtual function call
    I haven't seen any posts relating to this problem. I'm unable to sync my iTunes with my iPod. In addition my iTunes is not recognizing my ipod, but my computer does. I've had to reinstall iTunes for it to recognize ipod. I've followed the other instructions (delete temp files / cleaning registry etc.) with no fix yet.
    I think these may be related (hopefully). Any help is appreciated, thanks.

    I included waveform storage, runtime engine 8.2, ni-visa-runtime and  ni-serial3.1. I tried to create a setup.exe by installer on an other pc. But it's completely the same behavior afterwards. I attached the error message. This message appears after I choose the path and continue the setup. It's the question which file is meaning.
    I tried to create a setup.exe by installer without any additional.
    The strange thing is it was unsuccessful with following message. Maybe this will be helpful to find the problem.
    CDK_Item_OnDoProperties.vi.ProxyCaller >> CDK_Item_OnDoProperties.vi >> CDK_InstallerConfiguration_Editor.vi >> CDK_Build_Invoke.vi >> CDK_Engine_Main.vi >> CDK_Engine_BuildDevPart.vi >> NI_MDF.lvlib:MDFBuildDevPart_Open.vi

  • Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

    When starting iTunes, I get this error:
    "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
    Runtime Error!
    Program: C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe

    - pure virtual function call"
    and then iTunes tries to send an error report and shuts down.

    the Media Manager has a problem. I suggest you to uninstall it, then reinstall it.
    The search box on top-right of this page is your true friend, and the public Knowledge Base too:

  • Microsoft Visual C++Runtime Library Runtime Error when refreshing plugin list

    when i refresh the effects list, i get this runtime error:
    Microsoft Visual C++Runtime Library

    -pure virtual function call
    what do i do about this. if anyone has any ideas to suggest dont be afraid to let me know. thnx in advance

    Point audition at another folder into which you put your plugins one at a time until you find the one that gives the problem. Or you can do a hashing thing (copy half in, see if it's ok, if not, delete half, try again, etc etc).

  • How do i use directX in microsoft visual basic studio 2010 express ?

    i am writing code to graph stock market prices using microsoft visual basic studio express
    i want fast response (i do machine language) using directX
    this is my problem
    i have never used directX, and i have never used directX in visual basic studio
    i followed a tutorial that went like this
      Reference: Microsoft.DirectX
                 Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D
                 Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3DX
        Imports: Microsoft.DirectX
                 Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D
                 Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3DX
        Declare: Private D3Ddev As Device = Nothing
                 Private D3Dpp As PresentParameters = Nothing
                 Private DP As DisplayMode = Nothing
    i found the reference dll's at C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\DirectX for Managed Code\1.0.2902.0
    when i imported microsoft.directX.direct3DX i got error #1
    namespace or type specified in the imports 'microsoft.directX.direct3DX' doesn't contain any public member or cannot be found...
    the same error occurs wether i use direct3DX \1.0.2911.0 or \1.0.2902.0
    when i built and ran, i got error #2
    microsoft visual basic 2010 express is waiting for an operation to complete ...
    it hangs and i have to soft reset ctrl-alt-del

    all my declares work:
            D3Dpp = New PresentParameters()                             'Initialize
    some stuff for the Presentation parameters
            D3Dpp.BackBufferFormat = DP.Format
            D3Dpp.BackBufferWidth = DP.Width

    are used most often.
            D3Dpp.PresentationInterval = PresentInterval.Immediate      'Present the scene immediately
    but when i start debugging (f5), i get this error message:
    mixed mode assembly is built against version 'v1.1.4322' of the runtime and cannot be loaded in the 4.0 runtime without additional configuration information
    i dont fully understand the visual studio process, but i think 'mixed mode' means run and debug. two seperate app's
    i know this is a long question, but the forums don't answer it properly
    i want it answered concisly. i am running windows 7 basic, and this is my question
    can somebody give me a dozen lines of directX code that will work with my system, so that i can at least draw a line using directX 2D and 3D ?
    thanks everybody :)

    Thank you for your post.
    I am afraid that the issue is out of support range of VS General Question forum which mainly discusses

  • Launching VB6 Editor after installing Visual Studio 2013 results in "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Visual Studio..."

    I have had various versions of Visual Studio installed beside Visual Basic 6.0 Enterprise for some time with no problems, most recently Visual Studio 2012 Premium.
    I recently installed Visual Studio 2013 Premium, and now every time I open VB6 I get a dialog that says "Please wait while Windows configures Microsoft Visual Studio Professional 2013" that shows a progress bar. After it finishes (30 seconds or
    so), it launches again and again and finally VB6 will open. This happens with each instance of VB6, regardless if I've already done it once and never run VS2013 in between.
    If I cancel the dialog, I get this error message in a dialog: "Error 1712. One or more of the files required to restore your computer to its previous state could not be found. Restoration will not be possible." Several more "Please wait"...
    dialogs will appear and if I continue to cancel, eventually I'll get the VB6 editor. It appear to work fine despite the error messages.
    It seems to me that the VS2013 installer flagged some dll's or other files to be rolled back whenever starting VB6. It doesn't appear to be necessary, and I'd like to avoid playing the "Please wait" wack-a-cancel-button game before launching each
    instance of VB6 (or waiting several minutes for no reason). So how do I fix this?
    Note: I've seen something similar happen in Outlook on a different PC when upgrading from 2010 to 2013. The same sort of "Please wait"... dialog would appear each time I opened Outlook. Judging by the "similar" questions that popped up when
    entering this forum post, I'd say this is a general problem with upgrading older versions or installing newer versions of major Microsoft software side-by-side.
    /* Don Reynolds */

    I found the answer!
    I was having the exact same issue, and I was search for a solution and I happened across the following thread: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/f4b0fd38-f4f9-41ea-bd8d-834203a175d2/building-visual-studio-2010-project-triggers-please-wait-while-windows-configures-visual-studio?forum=vssetup&prof=required
    Scroll a small bit down, and there is a post by Barry Wang explaining that you need to use event viewer to find out what is missing. Anyway, I opened event viewer, then open VS 6, then hit refresh in the event viewer (under Windows Logs -> Application)
    and saw a warning message from MsiInstaller. It gave me the following message:
    Detection of product '{9C593464-7F2F-37B3-89F8-7E894E3B09EA}', feature 'Visual_Studio_Professional_x86_enu', component '{E3FF99AA-78B9-4A06-8A74-869E9F65E1FE}' failed.  The resource 'C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\URTInstallPath_GAC\' does
    not exist.
    I opened an elevated command prompt, I navigated to the C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework folder and verified that 'URTInstallPath_GAC' didn't exist, and then I did "md URTInstallPath_GAC".
    Closed and reopened VS 6, and it instantly opened - no "Please wait" message.
    Now this may or may not be the same problem you are having (problem is - I have had it happen on two separate computers now with VS 6 and VS 2013 installed), but it should point you in the right direction. In fact, you should be able to use the Event Viewer
    for anytime the "Please wait" message shows up for any application, and then once there find out what is really missing.

  • Microsoft Visual Studio - Unable to load DLL 'librfc32.dll'

    Hi,
    I'm experiencing the following problem:
    When trying to establish a connection between SAP BPC MS and our SAP NW BW system.
    I've created a new Integration Services project in Business Intelligence Development Studio. The issue comes up when I try to test the connection:
    TITLE: Microsoft Visual Studio
    Unable to load DLL 'librfc32.dll':
    This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect.
    Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800736B1)
    I've placed the librfc32.dll library file on C:\WINDOWS\system32\.
    I ran R3DLLINS.EXE according to Note 684106 - Microsoft runtime DLLs.
    This placed all the needed dll library files (msvcr71.dll, msvcp71.dll, mfc71.dll, mfc71u.dll) on the correct path (C:\WINDOWS\system32\).
    I keep getting the same error.
    Platform:
    Windows 2003 R2 SP2 32-Bit
    MS SQL Server 2008 SP1
    SAP BPC 7.0 Microsoft Platform
    I've checked out some other posts on SDN but it didn't solve my problem:
    Re: librfc32.dll not found on Windows Server 2003
    LIBRFC32.DLL not Found Error
    Re: librfc32.dll
    Any ideas?

    I was able to work it out.
    For your reference:
    Issue arrises from the fact that Business Intelligence Development Studio isn't able to load the librfc32.dll without the [Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package ATL Security Update |http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=766a6af7-ec73-40ff-b072-9112bab119c2&displaylang=en#filelist]implemented on the system.

  • Microsoft Forms and Microsoft Visual Basic while opening the Excel file

    Hello,
    I have issues with 2010 64 bit Office Pro Plus Excel. Whenever I open an Excel file (97-2003 worksheet) which has macros then I get below 2 errors in sequence.
    Please note that all macro settings are enabled and below are my system configs.
    Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit,
    MS Office Pro Plus 2010 64 bit with SP2.
    Googled all and tried but in vein and also note that I dont have any .exd files under ../forms to delete. Please help.
    Please note that for others with same system config/office versions and same 97-2003 worksheet it works so issues is only in my system.
    First Error
    Microsoft Forms
    Could not load an object because it is not available on this machine.
    Second Error
    Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications
    Compile error in hidden module:  MainUtilities2.
    This error commonly occurs when code is incompatible with the version, platform, or architecture of this application.  Click "Help" for information on how to correct this error.
    Thanks.

    Your macro's will not run in a Office 64 environment only in a 32bit environment. The 64bit environment has a whole different setup and macro's created in an earlier 32 bit environment will stop working.
    So if you want to use them in a 64 Office environment you have to rewrite the macro's.
