Virus Check before documents upload in cFolders

Is it possible to perform the auto virus check before putting the documents into the cFolders.

Hi,
in cFolders there is no virus scan in the standard, but you can use the virus scan that is integrated into the web application server. It is however only an interface so that you can use existing virus scan software - SAP does not supply the actual scanner software. Please see more in note 797108.

Bid submission deadline restriction for document upload in cFolders

Hello,
We have a scenario where Bidding Engine (SRM 4.0) is integrated with cFolders (cProject Suite 3.1). We are facing the porblem of no time restriction on cFolders document upload. Pl find below the detailed description:
If the bid submission deadline of a bid invitation has elapsed, the bidder cannot access that particular bid invitation. If he tries to access it, a message is displayed "The submission deadline has already passed". However if he clicks on the "OK" button, he can go to the tab page "Information from Purchaser". Here he can, not only access the attached collaboration but can also modify the documents uploaded earlier. Also he can add as many documents as he wants, even after the passage of bid
submission deadline & save it.
Whenever the buyer accesses the particular bid he can see the latest documents (those were uploaded after the bid submission dealine).
My question to the experts is, how is it possible to restrict the bidder from uploading documents in the cFolders Collaboration after the bid submission deadline has elapsed? The bidder should not be able to upload/modify documents in cFolders collaboration after the bid submission deadline has passed.

Document Upload in cFolders

Hi experts,
I am working on cFolders 4.0
When I create a material, data sheet, discussion, upload is hapenning properly and I am able to see the version of the created object.
How ever, when I create a document, I get the screen to browse for a file from my local machine. After I select a file, I get a popup box saying uploading <file size>. Also the IE status bar shows the message uploading <file size>
How ever, after the upload, the popup disappears and I am navigated back to the document headre page and I cannot see the document link.
In my java console, I get the following error:

Hi,
If your file name contains space, the file will not be uploaded into cFolder. Try a file without containing any space in name. Ther is a note available at service.sap.com, Once you implement this note your problem wille gone.

Accounting Document Checks Before Posting

I would like the system to perform a few checks before the acounting document for Vendor Invoice - KR i sposted.
I would like the system to check for Posting Date, Document Date, Reference Field.
Where should I configure this setting?

Im not quite understand your question..
for example, u want to post document via F-02. u can check your information before posting. u can choose menu document -> simulate to check as posting date, debit, credit, tax code and so on.

Checking parked documents before month change in OB52

Hi
I have following requirement:
I park FI document in Novemeber. It was not posted to books of account. But i closed my november month in OB52 without checking parked document list. It gave little problem to me.
Now i want to know is there any settings where system will pop out (at the time of OB52) that the month is not complete. It means there are some documents pending to be posted or depreciation run is not done, etc.
Please help.

You can open the November month, which is not suggested.
But, you post the parked documents in special periods(i.e., 13,14, 15 and 16)
We use special periods for adjustment postings...

Filename problems when checking out documents

Hi,Client machines are using Windows NT4 SP6 and Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.1106CO. Environment is Plumtree 4.5 SP1, Collab Server 2.02.We have an issue whereby when users check out documents with periods in the filename, the default filename for the downloaded file is different from the original.Eg. If a document named test 0.1.docis uploaded, when this file is checked out, Internet Explorer will try and save it at test (0)0.1.doc. This means that users have to either manually change the filename in the Save As dialog box, or rename the file to it's correct name before checking it back in.Is this an issue Plumtree is aware of, and is there a workaround or fix?Thanks.Mun

Further investigation into this problem shows it does not occur when downloading using a straight A link. Eg. Internet Explorer does not change the filename if excutable 0.1.exe is used; only when downloading through Plumtree (checking out files).This is Plumtree Collaboration Server core functionality.Can anyone from Plumtree shed any light on this?Cheers,Mun

DMS Document upload: does it pass through sap DMS ?

Dear All,
We have a question concerning the transmission of documents from the client to DMS and the Content Server: does the document need to pass through the sap server ?
Document upload (create document CV01N)
Does the document go directly from the client to the Content server OR does it pass through the sap DMS before to be stored in the CS ?
Document download (read document CV03N)
Does the document go directly from the CS to the client OR does it pass through the sap DMS server ?
This could be interesting to know for network performances.

is the cache server a default funtionality from the content server or any configuration is required from our part.
is that the cache server acts as the RAM of our system?
please explain the partitioning or biferfication of the Content server, as you told
content server is divided into storage catagories and this in turn in to content repositories,
please clarify below points,
1)any server or PC can be made as Content server by insatalling the content server CD if iam right ?
2) Practical and funtional benifits of partitioning content server into content repositories is it for authorization and storing data by naming convection or can it also help in copiying data from a specific content repository if needed, ( is content repositories a logical partition or practical partition like B,C,D, F drives of our PC hard disk)
3) can /should there be multiple content server installation for a particular (production) client.
4) Can Archiving be done say by creating a separate content repository inside the same Content server, or is it mandatory to have a separate archiving server itself,

Checking before saving PR

I would like to make a specific field in PR, let say vendor material, to be mandatory for a specific PR document type. It seems that it cannot be done by "Define screen layout at document level".
So I would like to perform a checking before save.

Try this example. Its an adaptation of a code of my own but I haven't checked ABAP syntax so maybe there is a period or somethig missing there.
The idea of the code is to give an error message at item level based on a condition depending on document type and another field in the item (item category). Hope it helps. SL

I uploaded a csv file by the function module GUI_DOWNLOAD but now before to do the update I have to check if the correct value for the controlling area and profit centre are used .

Updatetask.exe is repeatedly blocked by my virus checker. Forums say it can be malicious. How do I know, and how do I get rid of it?

I use Firefox on Windows 7. Several times an hour and sometimes when I click a link or do something else when browsing I get a dialog box that says updatetask.exe has been blocked. Forums say this can be a Firefox automatic update executable, but that it can carry malicious baggage.
This file or name does not appear in the Control Panel add/remove programs list, so I can't uninstall it. I don't know if it's safe to just search for and delete the file. So, how do I know if it's authenticaly yours or safe, and how do I get rid of it? The virus checker is F-Secure.

AFAIK. updatetask.exe is a malicious file and it is associated with the Ask.com toolbar. But I'm unsure as it is very tricky, because UpdateTask.exe has 29 different versions, varying from illegal to malignant.
Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. 
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

BTNetProtectPlus and virus checking

I have BTNP+ installed on 2 W7 PCs. Virus checking is set weekly, and to date I have had no major problems, just occasional viruses and trojans quarrantined and deleted.
My on line bank, NatWest have just told me that my access to them has revealed that my laptop is infected by a virus with the alias of either Ramnit, Tilon, Zeus (aka Zbot), Shylock or Torpig. They advise that I "seek professional advice" before logging on to them again.
I am a retired IT manager, and am fully conversant with most parts of a PC. I have run a full virus check since the bank reported a problem and no viruses/trojans were found by BTNP+.
Can anyone advise me how effect BTNP+ is? Or is this just a scam by the high street banks to get more business into local small businesses?

I still don't know how your bank could tell you had all these viruses on your computers without having scanned them for you. Did you have a problem and did they scan your computer?
I would suggest that to be sure you don't have any viruses on your computers you start them in safe mode then carry out a full virus scan using your virus scanner.

Depending on what if anything your virus scanner finds will determine what you do next.
I would also "get a second opinion" by running an on line virus scanner after I had carried out the above. A decent on line virus scanner is Bitdefender. See this link

Should I run virus checks on CDs that come with magazines?

Hiya, I often buy Mac magazines, such as iCreate, MacFormat etc. and they all come with software CDs. It says to run a virus check on the CDs before using them.
Is this really necessary, as from what I know there are no mac viruses? If it is necessary, what kind of thing should I use?
