Virus in evaluation download

Hi,
I'm trying to download BusinessObjects Edge 3.1 Series Solution Evaluation but the second file (14-60133-085.part2.rar) keeps getting blocked by my anti virus software.

Can SAP confirm this virus is not bundled with the install package?
Can SAP suggest a way to download the evaluation without having to turn off my anti virus software?
I am using Kaspersky Internet Security 2010. Downloading onto Windows Vista Ultimate and planning to install BO Edge on Windows XP.
Appreciate any help.
Regards
Mark

Denis,
I have been using the following url:
http://www.sap.com/solutions/sapbusinessobjects/sme/freetrials/index.epx
Clicking on the SAP BusinessObjects BI OnDemand      Free Trial link.
This takes me to a page where I have to fill in my details.
Once this form has been filled in, I was taken to another page with a list of download links.
It was from that page that I clicked on the above download link which was then subsequently blocked by my virus scanner.
I have informed SAP and they appear to have created a ticket to look into this: IT/IBC: 1415262 2010
but I am not a customer and so am unsure how far they will investigate.
Regards
Mark

How do I temporarily turn off my Firefox Virus protection to download an update for my Mobile HTC sync

Oh, that's a general instructions many installers give to avoid conflicts. I suggest ignoring that instruction and trying to install normally. After all, can you really trust a downloaded program??
Regarding your antivirus status, it's critical to have antivirus software, and Firefox doesn't offer that feature. If you check the "Security Center" in the Windows Control Panel, it should tell you whether you have antivirus software installed and, if so, which program it is. If you don't have one, try Microsoft's free one:

If you have any suspicion that your system might not be completely clean, these two tools are highly regarded for cleaning up:

If you reinstalled Windows, it is likely that all your data was lost. If that is the case, you should restore from backup.
If you don't have a backup, but you have an iPod, you can recover from that, see:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/11857427#11857427
If you are in the US, you can recover purchased tracks from the store using the "Purchased" link in Quick links.
If all your data was not deleted, you will need to explain exactly what remains before help can be given.

  • While using Firefox, a site popped up and said it was Firefox scanning for viruses. It then said I had dangerous viruses and should download a security program. Is this for real? The site was update32.escmce.ce.ms

While using Firefox, a site popped up and said it was Firefox scanning for viruses. It then said I had dangerous viruses and should download a security program. Is this for real? The site was update32.escmce.ce.ms I googled this site and it does not exist. Now, I am worried about the security on my computer.

If you're running under Windows, I suggest you download and install Microsoft's Security Essentials. It protects against these types of attacks and tends to find stuff that other anti-virus scanners don't find. You're system could be infected because of that bogus, evil anti-virus scan. Install and run the software while in safe mode.

  • My pc has a virus I just downloaded song from pc to kids ipods now both ipods are not working correctly could the virus be in the ipods,  if not why are both not working doing the same thing right after unplugging from pc.

Can an ipod get a virus from a pc that has a virus.  After connecting two different ipods to my pc to download music they both are not working correctly, could the virus have transferred to the ipod,  if not why would both ipods not work and be doing the same thing?  When trying to click on a game it just stays on the main screen.

    - I have not heard of a virus that can cause problem with an iDvice that has not been jailbroken.
    - Try resetting the iPods. nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Do you hve problems with one game? The same game on both iPods?
    Other apps?

  • No "samples" in evaluation download, can't create model or group

Hi forum, I'm trying to learn BPA Suite.
Downloaded the evaluation version from the main site. It installed ok, but I can't find any "samples" directory anywhere like the Quick Start PDF says should exist. Are these downloadable separately? Couldn't find them on the site if they are.
Also can't create a new model, since I have no groups. I click on "LOCAL" in the new model wizard but the "New group" button is greyed out. No instructions in the doc on how to get this running.
    Please help!
    Thanx

    Hi,
    have you start your server?
On linux you have to run y-serverlauncher.sh
    in .../BPASuite/JavaClient.xxx/localserver/
Then you can use the sample and create new projects.

    Depends.

  • Virus - did I download one?

I was using google tonight and I clicked on a link and got all these screens that said my computer has detected a virus. But it didn't look like Mac stuff, it looked like windows stuff. Then it just started downloading programs that I was supposed to install. What did I do? I have the link, but obviously don't want to click on it again. How do I know if my computer has a virus? Do I need to do something? Help!

HI and Welcome to Apple Discussions...
Just move the files to the Trash. It's just a scam to get you to purchase software you do not need.
There are NO Mac viruses in the wild. It's not a virus. It's a .exe file that the Mac OS X can't read let alone open.
Go to the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari/Block Pop-Up Windows.
That should alleviate that problem in the future.

After virus problem which would not let all parts of the browser page open, I downloaded Firefox from another browser and opened it to install.
Firefox now asks permission to open each time I click the icon. I have shut off the computer and on several times. I then re-installed the browser but still it asks permission to open.
It seems to work again but can I get rid of opening permission request please? I may have 2 versions of the browser in the computer or the new program did not replace the old?
If I uninstall the program will I lose my bookmarks? Please can you help?

Mozilla Firefox stores all your personal settings, such as bookmarks, passwords and extensions, in a profile folder on your computer
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_backup
    *https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a ''Clean reinstall''. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
'''Note:''' You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
#Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
#After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
#Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
    #*'''Windows:'''
    #**C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
    #**C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
#*'''Mac:''' Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
#*'''Linux:''' If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see [[Installing Firefox on Linux]]. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the [http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop Firefox download page], simply remove the folder ''firefox'' in your home directory.
#Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
##Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
##Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
Please report back to see if this helped you!
    Thank you.

  • Norton ends in 5 days. What is a good FREE, safe anti-virus and security download?

Since downloading Firefox, I cant see ID safe of the toolbar. It does not seem compatible with 9.0.1. but as Norton expires in 5 days anyway, I would like to try a free anti-virus/security download.
Any ideas what would be a good one to try with Firefox?
    Thanks

No, Avira doesn't include a Firewall. My advice is to use the Windows Firewall which comes with WinXP, which should automatically be reactivated when you un-install Norton.

I just tried downloading the JDeveloper 11g tech preview but my virus scanner reported that the file contained a trojan: TrojanSpy.BayFraud.CW.
