Visibility of infotype 106

Hi,
The table description for IT106 says that HR master data: USA under package PB10.
I need to know whether this will restrict the visibility of the field to place where MOLGA is for USA, can we incorporate a change so that the screens can be changed based on the MOLGA i.e make only a few or no fields visible.
All suggestions and helpful answers will be suitable rewarded

IT106 is not maintained directly but rtaher created by the system based on 0021 data.. to disable/hide/display fields on an Infotype screen, you can maintain the relevant Module Pool Program in V_T588M using Tcoe SM30/31.

Hi,
As per the Standard setting, the field will be available in te input screen as per the code. Check the code for the module pool MP035900, screen 2000 for the field, I guess it might be hidden by default in the code.
In case required to over write this hidden propoery of the screen, use the screen exit or make the field as RF (Required Field).

Infotype 21 (Family Member/Dependents) Relationships

Hi guys,
I have requirement to create a custom program that update medical reimbursement value in infotype 21 for the certain condition. But before doing that, i would like to know are there any other infotypes related with infotype 21? means if i update infotype 21, there will be other infotypes that would be updated. i don't want to screw up by updating the data and causing inconsistency with other infotypes.

Infotype 21 is linked to other infotypes and its country specific
Example US - infotype 106 as pointed out above
Japan - Infotype 148 etc.

Modify the text of a data field on the screen

Hi,
I am looking to change the text of a SAP data field on the display screen for an infotype 106. I have the required object key for it. When I entered the key it logged me successfully, however it displayed a message that I am not authroized for changes. Infact as a developer my user profile has the highest authroization level 'SAP_ALL'.
I am looking to modify the module pool MP010600 and screen number 0100 on the infotype screen 106.
It displays the message:
"you have no authroizations for the authroization object 'S_DEVELOP' which would allow you to change the screen'. I checked with the admin guy. He did not have a clue either. Am I missing something?
Any thoughts how to resolve it?

Function to get Family Member Details and Addresses

Family Member details are stored in pa0021 and their addresses are stored in pa0106. I can find lots of BAPI's/Functions to read and create new Family Member details, but nothing that deals with both their Details and Address Information (pa0021 and pa0106). Is anyone aware of some type of function that exists to read/create/change this information?

Reference personnel no field

dear experts
In which PA infotype can we find the field "Reference Personnel No" ??
if i use a reference personnel no in recruitment in applicant activities for data transfer, will the same data be maintained in corresponding PA infotype where this field is available as standard ??
give me all info about the field reference personnel no?
is this field used when an employee is organisatinal reassigned??( performing a PA 40 action?)

You can make the reference number field visible from screen modifications in spro Mp000000 screen 2000.& you shuould have it visible in infotype 0000 screen while hiring an employee.

Reference Personnel Number (Infotype 0031)
The Reference Personnel Number (0031) infotype is used to assign several personnel numbers to one employee, if the employee has different employment relationships in your company. In this case, the personnel number associated with the employee is known as a reference personnel number. This infotype establishes links between all of an employees reference personnel numbers.
The Reference Personnel Number infotype (0031) is used in Personnel Administration for copying information that is common to all personnel number records for an employee who has several work contracts; it is also used by Payroll.
If an employee has more than one employment relationship within your company and these employment statuses are all accounted together, you must specify the order of priority for payroll in the Reference Personnel Number Priority infotype (0121).
Reference Personnel Number
In the Reference Personnel Number infotype (0031), a list of the interrelated reference personnel numbers is stored for each reference personnel number involved.
<b>You can enter a reference personnel number in the Actions infotype (0000) when a new employee is hired. The system will automatically update the Reference Personnel Number infotype (0031) and copy certain reference personnel number infotypes.</b>
Certain infotypes are the same for all the personnel numbers belonging to one employee: These are:
Personal Data (0002)
Bank Details (0009)
If you edit these infotypes for a personnel number, the relevant infotype records for all related personnel numbers are also pulled up.
Other infotypes that define the employees individual working relationship can undergo different changes for the various different personnel numbers.
Organizational Assignment (0001)
Basic Pay (0008)
Country-specific infotypes for tax and social insurance
When you edit these infotypes for a personnel number the system does not call up the relevant infotype records for all related personnel numbers.
As a rule, you only need to maintain the Reference Personnel Number (0031) infotype if you want to retrospectively create a relationship between two personnel numbers that already exist, or if you want delete a link between two personnel numbers.
If you include a personnel number, all the infotypes belonging to that personnel number that can be copied, will be taken on by the current personnel number.

Emergency Contact Report (MSS)

Hi,
I have copied and modified the SAP query Family members. I have added the infotype 106 to get telephone number of all emergency contacts of given personnel number.
The problem is the query returns duplicate records if given personnel number has more than one emergency contact as if it is returning the cross product of infotype 0021 and infotype 106.
Is here is way to fix this by picking only the corresponding telephone number from infotype 106 for the emergency contact in 0021.
The purpose is that managers should be able to see their emergency contacts of personnel reporting to them in MSS.
We are using version SAP ECC 6.0 and EP 6.0 with Business package ERP 1.0 (for MSS).

This is a common problem, you will definitely get duplicate records and apparently there is no solution but ABAP. You have to create custom fields and put ABAP code behind them instead of code at record processing level. I have encountered same problem a year back and ended up coding in the infoset after a lot of research. create a context node with the necessary attributes (e.g. id and religion) and bin these attributes to a textview or a textedit. You can bind a method to the textedti, which is fired if the user enters a new value an press the enter button on keyboard.
in this method, you select the name to the id an bind it to the textview.
Probably, you use a dropdop with all pairs of id an name so the view is immediatly updated as the user select a id!

Custom Infotype - Data entered not visible afterwards

Hi,
I am new to ABAP HR and created infotype first time ever. Now the data which I am entering on the screen gets saved after clicking on SAVE. But it should be later visible when we want to see it using Change or Display mode which is not happening.
Do we have to code in the infotype as we do in screen. Can SET/GET Parameter id used?

- Can you "see" your data with SE16n browser ?

Custom Infotype not visible in Unit Testing Client

I created Infotype in client 110.I can see IT 9000 in Development client 110.But It is not in the client 120 which is Unit test client.I think Infotypes are client independent....Then why can not I see in client 120.

I guess you are refering to the client of the same server....
Since the infotypes are not client independent , you have to go to transaction
SCC1 of unit testing client and copy both customizing and workbench request.
After this you can view the infotype.

How i need to write a logic to generate idoc for some of infotypes, when i change the single infotype

I have an requirement , when I change any infotype record from pa30 or pa40, i.e
suppose I am changing the infotype 0002 in pa30 , the idoc only generated for that changed infotype only,
but I need it to generate the idoc for some other infotypes also I.e(0000,0002,t528t, 0016).
So please give me some help to generate idoc when I run a rbdmidoc(bd21).

yes, visible bounds is reading the non-visible masked objects too.
you're going to have to do it the hard way, loop through all your objects to get your bounds manually, and while you're at it, test for clipping masks and use the masking path instead.

Filter issues with hidden/visible columns on a table

I have a contact list that has contact info on it (office
phone, home phone, cell phone, etc). There are several hundred
entries in the .xml file. As a default, I am putting the contacts
in a table that has the office phone and email address visible, and
the other info hidden. I have a "ShowDetail" checkbox that will
allow the hidden columns to be visible and vice versa by using the
addClassName and removeClassName.
The issue I have, is that when you start typing in an contact
name when the checkbox is checked, the table flashes the correct
info up with the columns visible, but then the HTML is rendered and
the Hidden class is reassigned to the columns.
Is there anyway to run the javascript function that toggles
the class after the HTML is rendered based on the checked status of

Employee photo upload in portal and to be saved in infotype 0002

Hi Everyone,
       I got an requirement where in ESS Portal, through "Change Own Data" link, employee is uploading his photo and it has to be saved in infotype 0002. Below are the doubts i have,
1. There is no field for photo in infotype 0002, so how it will be saved in 0002.
2. After uploading and clicking preview button, error was raising saying 'Error when archiving the photo'.
3. I seen in many forums that the employee photo is visible from PA30. how it will be visible in that tcode ?

     While creating the repository, keep the Document Area blank, Storage type as R/3 database, Rep. Sub-type will appear as Normal by default, Version No. as 0046 and in Contents table put 'SDOKCONT1' as the table name.
    With that screen im am not able to find table name field to put 'SDOKCONT1' as input and moreover SAP system database is there instead of getting R/3 database for storage type. Screen detilas below,

Mac Mini not visible in Mac network (shared drives, remote desktop)

Hi,
I got the following problem since a few months and can't figure what the problem could be.
My Mac Mini in not visible on my other macs in Finder oder Path Finder.
With unsing Apple + K shortcut I can connect to alle Mac Mini drives.
- Both machines have 10.8.4. installed
- Router is a Time Capsule
-> MBP connected via WiFi
-> Mac Mini via LAN cable
- IP Adress will be set via DHCP (static IPs won't help, tried that of course)
- Remote Desktop und Sharing is activated on both machines within preferences
- MacMini sees my MBP und my GFs MB
- MBP is able to see my GFs MB, but not my MacMini
- No Firewall acticated on both machines
- rights have been checked and repaired with the harddrive tool
Anybody an idea what I can try next?

How to retrieve data from virtual infotype?

Hi.
I'm trying to write an ABAP program that's retrieving data from infotype 2501.
If i'm looking at this table PA2501 from SE16, i can see that it's empty, but...
I have an HR program that's using the PNP and i can see in debbuging mode allot of data over there.
So, my question is: how can i get this data with a simple SELECT command? where is the data?

There may be no data physically stored in table PA2501, it may reside in other tables but programatically pulled by the infotype into internal tables. Surender has given a good example, there are many more examples like some fields are stored in another table. Like for infotype 105, some fields are stored in PA0105 and some are stored in PA0106 which are pulled and displayed on one infotype screen i.e. 105 and hence we do not have a screen for 106. It may be same situation.
If you have to have a SELECT access, then only way is to debug the code and see how it is pulling the data, which tables etc.
