Visio 2007 Error 126

The exact error I am getting is:
"An error (126) occurred during th eaction Save As.
Visio cannot save the file you selected."
whenever a user tries to do a "Save As" of a file into a network directory. They can do a save as if it's on their own computer, then move the file to the correct network location, but this can be an annoyance if you are working with many Visio files.
I've checked the permissions on the folders, ran the program as an Administrator, turned off my firewall and anti-virus program, but nothing seems to work. I have also found no information on error 126.
I noticed that there is a fix on Experts-Exchange, but I don't have a subscription.

Policies
Realtime, eTrust Antivirus
Selection
Regular Files, All Except the Specified Extensions (in the drop down box)
Edit list
type in vsd in the "Enter a new file extension" box
click ok
apply

I am facing the same problem. The netweaver 2004s installation was successful without any problems. But the dispatcher stopps with the same error message as you had. Could you resolve the problem?

could it be that the disp+work.exe starts and then ends after a few seconds? I've had the same problem some days ago. Finally after 5 reinstallations and one new Windows installation, all works fine.
So maybe you could answer some questions
Have you installed the MS Loopbackadapter or are you connected to a network?
You need the MS Loopback if you aren't connected to a network.
How is the size of your virtual memory?
Should be great enough: 4096MB works fine.
What's the name of your computer?
Shouldn't be more than 13 characters.

Requirements Gateway: Visio - COM error

Dear Developers!
I have a problem using Visio files in Requirements Gateway 1.1: when I open the example project ('Visio Example.rqtf) this info is shown:
Error: COM error (Class not registered)
Error: Conversion problem (file ...\Visio Example.vsd)
The operation system is Windiws Server Standard SP1. There is no full version Visio installed only Microsoft Office Visio Viewer 2007. Could this be the problem, or should I change some configuration of the Requirements Gatewaw?

traceability information from the custom properties in Visio 2003 or shape
data in Visio 2007 or by creating references in the Graphical View in
Requirements Gateway.

Hm, i would say your guess is quite promissing: you will need i full version of Visio in order to get it to work since ther is nothing said about Visio Viewer.
Maybe you can get some kind of evaluation version for Visio in order to test this.

ITunes reinstallation brings ''error 7 - Windows error 126'

I had to de-install and re-install iTunes (version 11.1.4 64bit) on Windows-8.1. At the end of the installation process I got the message: "Service 'Apple mobile device' could not be started. Please check wheather you have sufficient authorization to start the system-services" (translated from German). This came though I was logged on as Systems Administrator. When I started the Task-Manager as Systems Administrator and tried to start 'Apple mobile device' I got the message "the service does not respond in time tot he start or control request. Error 1053)"
If I ignore the message above and try o start iTunes I get immediately "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 126)". This happens whenever I de- and re-install iTunes.
Could you please help.

I recently installed Panda Internet Security 2012 (about 12 days ago), initially iTunes worked fine as usual but within the last few days I've been unable to open it with the same messages appearing. I've read through some of these pages and tried everything that's been advised, uninstalling and reinstalling while internet and laptop security is swithched off, downloading tools to completely remove anything related to iTunes, tried it in Safe Mode, nothing has worked. I've also noticed that in the start menu when I click on iTunes, it says '(empty)' where it should have the logo and ability to start the program, does this mean it doesn't download + install properly each time I've tried? Any help would be enormously appreciated.

This happened to me today as well post installing the latest version of itunes. I did a search on google for the error and came across a recommendation to :
Note: Start Windows in Safe Mode to complete any of the following steps if you're unable to access Windows normally due to the msvcr80.dll error.
If, and only if, you're receiving the msvcr80.dll is missing error when you open Apple iTunes, do the following: (skip this step if your msvcr80.dll error is occurring with a different program)
Uninstall from Windows the following five programs in this order: iTunes, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour, and finally Apple Application Support. If you have iCloud, remove it as well.
Uninstalling these programs in Windows is done from an applet in Control Panel called Programs & Features (in Windows 8, 7, or Vista) or Add or Remove Programs (in Windows XP).
Note: Songs and playlists in iTunes will not be removed when you uninstall the iTunes program or any of the other, already-mentioned Apple programs. If you'd still like to back them up, they're usually located in the My Music folder in Windows.
Download the latest version of iTunes from Appleand note the location you're saving it to so you can find it once it's done.
Run the iTunes installation as an administrator. If you're not sure how to do that, see How Do I Open an Elevated Command Prompt? for help. That procedure shows you how to open the Command Prompt program as an administrator, but the steps are essentially the same for anything, including the iTunes installation package you just downloaded.

Same problem today. Took five times to reinstall without any error messages. I did the following:
1) Went to the C:\program files (x86)\iTunes and C:\program files\iTunes folders and moved every file ending in .dll to the desktop (even if two files in same location had the same name, just replaced)
2) Restarted computer and still got error message
3) Uninstalled all apple programs possible in the following order......itunes, apples software update, apple mobile device support, bonjour, and apple application support.....all performed using the microsoft control panel
4) put all the .dll files on the desktop in the trash and emptied (this is a step apple support did not recomment in their posted solutions but for a final try I wanted to delete everything apple).
5) Restarted computer.
6) Re-installed itunes from apple website
No error messages during re-install and was able to open shortcut in one try.
