Visio setup cannot find Visio.en-us\VisioLR.cab

When I attempt to install Visio 32bit on a laptop running 32bit Windows 7 I get the following error message when installation begins copying files.
"Setup cannot find Visio.en-us\VisioLR.cab. Browse to a valid installation source, and then click ok."
I am attempting to install from the CD. When I try to browse to the VisioLR.cab file on the CD, during the installation the file does not show up.
Any help I can get is appreciated.

It's on both of my images (x86 and x64). Since that directory is for the US english version, what language is the disk for and where did you get it? The download version from MS is an EXE and not a disk image.

  • Setup cannot find the Geforce4 4200 device

    Hello,
    I've just bought a Geforce4 4200 128MB MSI card which replaced my old voodoo3 3000 card.
The BIOS seem to be able to communicate with the card as the card name shows when I turn on the computer.
The problem is when I try to run the CD's setup program , it says "cannot find the device in your system".
When I tried to view PCI information in linux , it printed out the following:
    "bus 1 , device 0 , function 0
VGA compatible controller: PCI device 10de:0254 (nVidia corporation) (rev 163)
IRQ 11." , and some more infromation regarding memory addresses.
    I'm running win95 on Celeron III 600MHz.
Is the above PCI information makes sense? Why cant the windows installation find my device?
    Thank you for your responses,
    Ishai

remove any device from system that has something to do with v. card...and all "unknown devices", reboot and try again. if not install drivers manualy...may be will work

  • [Solved] Hp-setup cannot find my HP Photosmart Plus printer

    Hi all,
I'm trying to set up my HP Photosmart Plus printer. I have an Arch desktop acting as the CUPS server, which I ssh into from my laptop. I've gone through the CUPS installation and linux - linux sharing instructions. When I try to set up the printer through the CUPS web interface, it easily detects and adds my printer. I can access it from my laptop and print stuff fine. However, it will only print out:
**** Unable to open the initial device, quitting.
I discovered that the printer should instead be set up using hp-setup. Running hp-check -t gives this.
Running hp-check --fix prompts to reinstall the printer through hp-setup, and so it removes the printer from CUPS and starts hp-setup -i.
When I select "net" for the connection type (my printer is wireless), it can't find my printer, even though the standard CUPS interface had no problem with this.

  • InDesign CS2 setup cannot find Indesign CS setup files.

It can't find the set up files.  I point it to the correct folder and still... nothing.  Then I choose the option to enter the serial for the original installation of InDesign CS and it tells me the serial is invalid.

Are you trying to upgrade CS from a suite installation with a stand-alone upgrade? That won't work. Standalones can be upgraded to a full suite, but once you have a suite installed it's all or nothing on the upgrades.

Also, what are new MBs doing so that one doesnt have to deal with this annoying F-6 step?  For some reason I think I heard new MBs dont require this F-6 step.
for his mobo, the drivers are absolutely necessary to be loaded when SATA HDD are used. that is due onboard sata controller.

  • Vista 64 with XtremeGamer Pro: Cannot find a supported prod

I?have?a Creative X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatalty?Pro Series sound card and?have Windows Vista Business x64. In the device manager, under "Other Devices" an unknown device shows up, called, "Multimedia Audio Controller". When the latest 64-Bit drivers are installed, it crashes on the install saying something like setup cannot find a supported product. First, I thought maybe I didn't install the card correctly, so I changed it to another PCI slot. The problem, however, persisted. Does any one have any idea why this happens and how it can be solved? Thanks in advance.

When I use the newest driver from the creative website, it seems that the installation has no problem finding the device. However, after the installation and reboot, vista still doesn't recognize the sound card and labels it as "Multimedia Audio Controller". Does anyone know how to solve the problem?

  • Cannot install Office 2013 - Seup cannot find or validate an installation file

I downloaded the trial version of Office 2013 to evaluate it, but was unable to install it because I kept getting the following error...
Setup cannot find or validate an installation file.  Please try reinstalling office from your installation source or if you installed from a downloaded  package, please re-download and reinstall.  If you continue to haVe problems
contact Microsoft or your system administrator.
I tried re-downloading the program - again I was met with the same problem.  I tried running the setup file as administrator - problem remained.  I tried copying the program to the hard drive and running it from there as the administrator - problem
remained.  I downloaded Microsoft  fixit tool for problem installations and ran that - that was no use either.  The error message just kept coming back again.
I am assuming the setup file is corrupted in some way but seem unable to get an alternative setup file that will actually INSTALL.  Or is there something so blatantly obvious going on that I'm missing it?
    Help please!

I deployed Office 2k13 to client machine via SCCM 2012 R2. It did that flawlessly but I got the same error after trying to uninstall Office 2k13.
    setup.exe /uninstall ProPlus /config .\ProPlus.ww\Uninstall.xml
    Uninstall.xml file:
    <Configuration Product=”ProPlus”>
    <Display Level=”basic” CompletionNotice=”yes” SuppressModal=”yes” AcceptEula=”yes” />
    </Configuration>
I can uninstall Office 2k13 manually by running setup.exe and following wizard but it is not automatic process so it sucks.
I've responded in your other thread:
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/fd735611-95bf-46f6-8add-2229a52e3e93/i-can-not-uninstall-office-2013-from-command-line?forum=officeitpro
Hi, your command-line is not valid - you are using a "relative" path for the <config.xml> and that is not supported..
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc178956(v=office.15).aspx#BKMK_config
Note: You must use a fully qualified path. Setup does not recognize relative paths with /config.
Instead, I suggest that you copy your "Uninstall.xml" file to the same folder where setup.exe exists, then, adjust your command-line like this:
    setup /uninstall ProPlus /config Uninstall.xml

  • I cannot find imported mail boxes. if i try to setup a new mailbox, it shows the existence of the mailboxes that i am looking for in the location drop down menu. where would they be located?

i cannot find imported mailboxes. if i try to setup a new mailbox, it shows the existence of the mailboxes under location/on my mac. they do not show up in the mailbox list. where would they be located so that i can retrieve them?

Did you quite Mail and relaunch?
Your imported mail is stored in a new mailbox called “Import.” To reorganize imported messages, create new mailboxes and drag folders and messages from the Import mailbox to other mailboxes. When you’re done, you can delete the Import mailbox.
If you don’t see your mailboxes in Mail, choose View > Show Mailbox List; empty mailboxes aren’t imported.

    View Solution.

I had the same issue and researched for some time will little result.  I finally was able to reinstall by doing the folllowing:
(note try to install and when you have your error copy it down noting the subdirectory or other location.)
    1) Load the software (full feature in my case) but do not start the install.  This process copies data onto your hard drive prior to installation.
    2) Search for "hpzpnp01.exe" and then go to the file location.  Note where it is found (subdirectory).
    3) In your system search area enter %temp% and return.  This will take you to the area on your system where the data was copied.
    4) Look for the subdirectory where the hpzpnp01.exe was found (may be in several subdirectories).  Choose a subdirectory containing the hpzpnp01.exe and rename that subdirectory to the one called for in the error statement.
    5) Now erun the install.  It worked for me, so this or a variation of this method should work for most people.

  • Problem extracting Acrobat XI setup.exe file - using WinRAR extractor - "Windows cannot find file...

I have downloaded Adobe Acrobat XI from my university download site (so I know it's a legit, safe copy).  When I run the .exe file, even as an administrator, it begins to extract using WinRAR self-extracting archive and stops with a pop-up error:
"Windows cannot find "C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Temp\RarSFX0\Adobe Acrobat XI\setup.exe"
I scanned using Malwarebytes, AVG, Spybot, and ran a \scannow command.  Nothing finds a corrupt file.  Any ideas what could be causing the extractor to not work?
I am running Windows 7 on a 64-bit Dell laptop.

SOLUITION - I had to actually download a version of WinRAR extractor.  Right click the downloaded AcrobatXI-Windows.exe file and choose "Open with WinRAR" (this option was not available until I downloaded the WinRAR application - apparently the extractor runs automatically but doesn't have full funtionality).  Then I nagivated to the Adobe Acrobat folder in the WinRAR window and selected the setup.exe file to run.  It opened and installed beautifully.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
