Vision M power adap

I've just received my Vision M from amazon.co.uk, on their product description it says that the player comes with a power adaptor with interchangeable plug. I presumed that this meant I am given a charger which I can plug straight into my mains switch. This was not in the box that I received. I told amazon about it and they sent out another box and again this did not have a charger which I can plug straight into a wall switch. This has left me wondering, was this supposed to come in the box? Does this mean I can only recharge my player through my PC and will have to buy a seperate adaptor to recharge through a normal switch? Or have Amazon made a mistake twice!?
Thanks

Can someone please tell me if the power adaptor is included in the UK box? If it isn't, where can I buy one?

  • Creative Vision:M Power Adap

I went to an electronic store to get a power adapter for my vision:m to plug into the wall since I don't always have a computer with me. They gave me a power adapter for a cell phone and said that any mini-USB power adapter should work. Well it didn't!
Has anybody gotten any mini-USB wall power adapters to work? I ordered one from the Creative site but it's on backorder.

Love the Vision but frustrated trying to get it to charge other than with USB connection to computer.
I have the mini USB wall charger from the Micro (and it meets all the specs for the Vision), but it does not work.. When I plug it into the wall it turns on the Vision but does not charge it.
Using the USB connection to the computer takes way too long and is no good when I am on the road - not going to lug around a computer just to charge the thing, so I am about ready to take it back.

  • Zen vision:m Power Adap

    Hi!
I'm going to buy a zen vision:M, I read some reviews but i can't understand if the AC power adapter is included or not.
In the product page on creative website it is not mentioned, but i've seen many photos with it.
    Thanks

I've bought a Zen vision:m by Amazon in USA a brought it to Brazil, and guess: no power adapter. I've mailed Creative because in the manual, on page 4, the customer is instructed to fully charge the bateries by using a power adapter. The answer was a list of what I should get in the box, and the list does not include the power adapter.
So I think that at a first moment it was included and later on Creative decided to exclude it but did not update their instalation manual.
The power input in the ZVM is for 5V-DC and I have on 5V adapter. But to make sure I will use it right I would like to know whether the adapter provided by Creative has the negati've pole at the external ou in the internal part of the output jack.
If someone who has the adapter and has a multimeter could check this for me I would appreciate.

  • Zen Vision M Power Adapter questi

I have a Zen Micro with the USB power adapter, i.e., the one that has an AC connection on one end a mini usb connection on the other. Can I use this to recharge a Zen Vision M?
    Thanks,Mark

    Zen Vision:M power adapter specs: input 00-240VAC ~ 50-60 hz .3 Amps
    Output : 5V 000 mA
so in order for the micro charger to work it has to have an output of 5v and i think 500 mA wil lcharg eit but itl take the same amount of time to charge as the usb way will. not sure thoug. someone correct me?

  • Vision:M's Power Adap

I recently purchased a Vision: M at Best Buy. They told me that there was a "big" box and a "little" box. After examining the two boxes, I realized that neither of them mentioned the power adapter, so I opted to get the smaller one since it didn't matter, and of course it turns out that it does not have it. I wasn't surprised really, since I assumed that it was taken out because of the price change. After reading some things on various message boards, however, I've realized that there are still Vision:M packages with the adapter inside. Now I'm wondering if I should have gone for the "bigger" box, which apparently was what was originally being packaged before the newer "little" boxes.
My question to everyone here who received the adapter with their Vision:M is this: did you guys have a relati'vely large box (mine measures at about 6x7 inches) when you received your Vision: M? Also, did it specifically mention the power adater on the back cover? If it turns out that the "bigger" boxes have the adapter then I just might return the smaller one so that I can get it.

Well, after probing some more through various message boards, I've found out that there is indeed a difference between the ones that everyone has been getting off the Internet and the ones that are found in stores now. Apparently there is no difference between the big/little box that were at my best store, but there is a difference between the ones that people have been getting online.
There was no price difference, I've simply been screwed out of an adapter. Now I'll have to buy an adapter while you guys got one for essentially free.
Extremely lame. I'll probably write a letter to creative telling how disappointed I am, but I know it'll fall on deaf ears.
    Thanks for replying, guys.

    HELP,
I bought a docking station so that i could charge my vision m in my bedroom whilst listening to music but i have no pc in my bedroom i foolishly thought the devise would come supplied with a charger.
I bought a uniross uni'versal charger but it does not work on the docking station.
The charger works with the usb and the charger works with several other things in my house.
Do i need to buy a creative charger ? do they sell them ? what do i use to as a dc lead for the docking station please help.

Did you find out how to take care of this problem? I am having the same problems with my Docking Station. Also I am wondering about if there is a way to hook up the Vision M to the the Inspire T300 speakers direction without using the computer.
Yes unplug the speakers from the computer & plug into the Zen dock line-out port. Disconnect the dock from the computer & just have the power cord plugged in (wall charger)

  • Vision W power adapter compatible with Vision

Hi all,?Does anyone know if the power adapter that comes with the Zen Vision W work with the Zen Vision M? I checked the voltage input of the adapter and it's the same as the Vision M (DC IN 5V) but it's happened to me before where I used a different adapter for another MP3 player I had, the voltage requirements were the same and it ended up frying the battery... any insight you have is appreciated? Thanks!

Should be fine, your Watch will control how much power it takes.

  • Charging Zen V from universal power adap

My children have each a zen V, which easliy charges from the USB on the PC. However, I did an attempt to chrage with my uni'versal usb power supply which I use for my cell-phone pda (which of course is also possible to charge from the usb on the pc) with no success. Also tried the Hama one in the shop, as Creative must be ordered..., didn't work any better.
Anyone has an idea what causes it, and what can be done?
I have one idea, that the zen V needs some kind of signal through more than two leaders, which may have been designed into the Creative Power adapters... (not unlike the apple strategy...)
Also heard a theory that the power should give enough milliamps, but I'm sure that my i-mate has more to give than the pc-usb anyway, and also, I guess the Uni'versal Serial Bus standard must also be met...
    Anyone knows?

Although I couldn't tell you about the specifics, you are generally better off using the adapter from the brand of electronics you have. I was just surfing the net, and Wal-Mart has the Creative Zen Uni'versal Adapter for around 25 dollars. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...duct_id=542752?I will be buying this adapter when I get my Zen Vision M from Staples. (I have a $00 gift card from work that is redeemable at Staples!)? From what I have gathered on this board, you are much better off using a wall plug in charger rather than using the USB to charge.

  • Power Adap

I purchased a power adapter for my Zen Vision M. I bought it from Ebay from someone who seemed reputable, and the adapter was rated safe. It is not the kind that plugs into the dock, but one that has a plug fitted for the Zen. It's rated at 5V 700MA. It works fine, except for one thing. The touchbar acts very funny when the adapter is in. It will not move, move quickly, or freeze up. This disapears after you unplug it. I will not use this adapter again unless I find a reason for this. You can imagine I don't want to hurt my Zen. If this adapter isn't good, can anyone reccomend one that will fit in the dock plug?

Okay, cool. But I'm still wondering what's up with the touchpad when it is plugged in. If I got a 5V, 000MA Positi've Tip adapter from Radioshack, would it be safe to plug that into the jack on the dock? Ideally, I'd like to not just charge, but run the Zen off of wall power. Sometimes when I am home, I connect it to speakers, so it makes no sense to drain the battery. Can the Zen actually RUN off wall power, or is it like those stupid cordless razors that come with a plug you can only charge with? Is it me, or have companies gotten lazy and selfish over the years. I remember when everything came with all the accesories you needed. ?Thanks again for the specs!? ?TonyMessage Edited by mrsubway on 03-3-200708:27 AM

  • Zen Vision M - Ipod adap

Anyone know if there is an adapter on the market that will allow you to plug a zen vision M into an IPOD style speaker-system?

  • Zen Vision:M power charger/mains supp

    Hi all.
Just bought this off Ebay so that I can charge my ZVM in less time than the USB lead takes. I believed when I bought it that it was also a power supply, as in, enabled the ZVM to run off the mains and so not use up the battery. Am I wrong here? And if so, what should I be looking for for the latter?
Thx to anyone who can help.

When you run your Zen Vision: M off any charger and use it while its plugged in it doesnt take any power from the battery, it uses power from your plug that is transfered through the adapter. Using your Zen Vision:M while charging does slow down the charging process a little bit, but not by much. I hope this explanation has solved your question.

  • Vision M Power Adapt

Greetings. I noticed that the power adapter for the 60GB Vision M was not included, and I'm curious to know if those generic wall chargers are just as reliable as the official Zen power adapter. Also, I read that generic chargers have these "intelligent chips" that prevent the Vision M from overcharging. I thought that the MP3 player, itself, prevents overcharge. Is it all in the charger? Does charging through a PC USB also provide this auto-charge shutdown? Thanks.

i have the creative wall charger but not the generic one. i think it would work the same

  • Vision+ with Power adaptors on Infinity 2

I have the set up above (vision + box with vison essentials. The link is via power adaptors from the hub. I have the BT infinity 2 broadband package.
Do I need to change anything in order to get BT Sport?
Am I right in thinking that I need a cable connection??
    Thanks

That depends on the speed at the Powerline adapters. Try plugging in a laptop or computer via Ethernet to the powerline adapter at BT Vision end. Run a speed test. They don't support the non use of cables but my multicast channels including HD are perfect through the adapters with a speed of 30mbs

  • Where to buy a power adap

Is there any retail stores that sell the power adapter and extra battery for a zen micro? I dont have a credit card so online stores are not an option.

You know... I think most online retailers will take a money order. No other money orders are more trusted that us postal service money orders. That is if you are in the US.

  • TravelDock universal power adap

Just set up my TravelDock for my Zen Micro player, and since the manuals are mostly in pictures instead of words (wish they would have more English!), I haven't found the answer to the following:
Among the accessories included with my TravelDock was a "uni'versal power adapter". It's different from the uni'versal power adapter I bought some time ago, which actually has different interchangeable worldwide plugs supplied with it. This uni'versal power adapter that came with the TravelDock doesn't seem to have other plugs included with it in case I would be traveling to another country. Could someone please explain why the power adapter that came with the TravelDock is called "uni'versal", and where the plugs for other countries are, or do I have to buy those separately?
    Thanks.

...you could look up power sockets on wikipedia.org...
...they have a list of all sockets from all countries...
