Vision Upgrade - Now Bt Vision not working

OK this started a while ago, I would be watching a film or something on Demand when half way through it would freeze and I would have to reboot the whole system, but last time I done this (Sunday 15th Sep) It started doing an upgrade.. Their seemed to be several problems with the download but eventually I got the Vision back on before about an hour later it just switched off and then started downloading again.  Then a message came up " HDD PAIRING FAILED: ERROR CODE VDR369 " so I followed the guide to reset the vision box but nothing happened and same message keeps coming up.  I phoned BT to which they had me try everything I already tried then decided that the Power Adapters I am using are no longer in use by BT so they sent me out new Adapters but having set these up and rebooting the system nothing has changed still getting the same message.
I only come on here as I cant be bothered sitting for another 1-2 hours on the phone and If I cant get this sorted soon I think I will change my provider,  has anyone else had this problem or know how to correct it as the BT vision is mostly for the benefit of the kids and they really want to watch alot of the shows and films on BT Vision
1 other point when turning the power back onto the BT Vision Box there is a beeping noise from the box I am not sure if this is normal as I have never noticed it before

Hi Montague:
Thanks again for replying, You're in my league as I also made the recording of Ray's a Laugh and am listening to it at this moment. In fact, I was just over a month old when it was first broadcast - and was rather upset when the announcer apologised for it being a bit scratchy!!!! I don't think it is at all - and neither am I (lol). Ted Ray used to live near to my late father's former house in Anfield, and he often used to point it out. However, back to the point of our emails: you are correct, I can indeed fast-forward and rewind. In fast-forwarding, I was getting the red bar because I was wrongly using the >> button instead of the >| one. Still, the film adverts came on again after about 4 minutes. They can be erased for another 4 minutes by pressing the Back or Select button, but of course, in a 30-minute programme, that means pressing it 7 times. Perhaps I'm being too niggly and perhaps I'll get used to it. It's just a pity it wasn't thought about when making the upgrade. Another niggle is that the new email button doesn't always work, but I work around that by typing bt.com/email in the address bar, and that takes me straight to my mailbox. As an ex-BT employee (ending up in the payphone division), I always enthused about change, but now as a customer, I'm not so sure..... Thanks again for your help so far; I'm very contented with BT Vision, but strangely, as when a recording ends, the system now defaults to the last programme listens to or watched (again, something new), it defaulted to an R4 programme highlighting how the elderly should adapt to change. So, perhaps I will.... If you hear any more news, I'm always pleased to hear. - Bill.
