Vista 64 BIT, BB Storm Synch

I have a storm and use Vista 64 Bit, I can not send Outlook calendar appointments to the BB, and when I try to synch I get an error that says windows has detected a problem and has ended the program. Does anyone know of a solution, Thank you.

Hi and welcome to the forums!
It's probably due to  a corrupt record or database.
Desktop Manager has encountered a problem and needs to close.

  • Vista Upgrade - No Longer Synchs Files iTunes to iPod Nano

What a nightmare - iTunes/iPod worked beautifully with XP - but when I upgraded to Vista it stopped synchronising all my files onto my iPod. Some files says "I am not authorised to use on this computer". Tried to re-authorise but iTunes (despite recognising my my iTunes account to re-set password) then said I had to set up a new account. As well as not synching stuff I have purchased on iTunes it also is not synching audio MP4 files I have bought from Audiable Books despite before Vista upgrade always seemlessly synched with iPod. This is totally ruining my experience with iPod - so before I throw it out of my window please help me get my iTunes and iPod synching properly so I can play the music I have purchased and books. HELP HELP yours very frustrated!!!!

Please be patient, sync issues are time consuming, if you are lucky, just a Hard Rest and Restore will solved it.
    Ok Software Version 1.1.2.
So you can see all your 10,000 songs, in the new PC iTunes, and do you have any problem syncing the iPod using iTunes 10.5.3.3 on the old computer?
Can you do a Hard Reset  as below
After charging till full charge, at least 2 hours (preferably 4 hours)
Toggle the Hold switch, make sure you dont see the red mark when you do the  next step
Reset the iPod -> Press Menu and Center button simultaneously for about 10 secs till the Apple Logo comes ON
    Then release the buttons
    Select your preferred language.
Here is the Apple support Article on the 5Rs

On your iTunes please reset alert warnings, so that we can see the errors.

We need to see what problems iTunes is having
Then connect your iPod to the new PC and sync again.

  • TS3591 iphone 5 and Windows Vista, and itunes audio synch issues

the new itunes is not synching my music to my iphone 5. I have windows Vista. Upon synching itunes crashes the phone and forces a restore. Any one else have this problem?

Same exact problem with my iPhone 4. I have reinstalled iTunes hoping it would do the trick and it didn't. :\

  • Installed CS3 with windows vista bit AE won't open.

When my old faithful computer motherboard fried, I had to get a new computer with Windows Vista Home Premium.
I had CS3 loaded and working without a glich on my old XP computer.
I've loaded the whole CS3 suite, but when I open After Effects nothing happens. Using Window's Task Manager, under "Applications" After Effects doesn't show up as a running but under "Processes" the file "AfterFX.exe *32" is listed as running.
I've also tried uninstalling CS3 and reinstalling it in the directory "Program Files" rather than in the directory "Program Files (x86)" and nothing changed.
I've tried to opening all the other programs in CS3 with the similar results. Nothing opens, but their .exe files are listed under Task Managers "Processes".
I'm using this as a vol lic product, so I'm not sure how much tech support I can get.
Thank you for any help you can give me.

I'm sorry it didn't work. I probably don't have an answer for you since I'm not an expert or anything.
One thing I thought was weird was that the software version on my computer for the motherboard was version 6.xx (whatever) and the software I downloaded from the HP web was version 5.xx (whatever). It made it work though..
I think the update would be on the HP site, not the MSI site. Go to hp.com, downloads, and put in the name of your computer. Download/install whatever motherboard software they have. If that doesn't work, go to the adobe website and search for the document kb402213 and work through that. It's what the person you give Adobe $40 to help you is going to do.
    Good luck. Hopefully this helps.

  • How can i use icloud to synch my itunes library with my samsung android phone?

I want to sync my iTunes Library. MP3 files with my Samsung Intercept Android smartphone. Unfortunately, my HP laptop does not recognize my device when connected via USB cable, or when trying to sync via wireless networking applications from the Android Marketplace.  Any solutions or links to best resources would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.
My computer system hardware:                   HP Pavilion dv4 Notebook PC,
                                            Processor:                 Intel Duo-Core CPU T6400 @ 2.00 GHz
                                            Memory/RAM:        4 GB
Operating System:   Windows Vista Home Premium, Service Pack 2
                                                                                64 bit
Device to synch:    Samsung Intercept Android Smartphone
also using SansDisk 8 GB micro SD removable media card
Wireless Carrier:    Virgin Mobile USA (running on the Sprint Wireless Network)

So I have iTunes Accounts set up, iCloud enabled and iMatch rolling. Got my library matched (well, vast majority, like many others I do have some songs that have no reason to be 'inelligible' but are not uploading. Don't lecture me on the "rights". I'm a musician with 100s of songs in my library I wrote and recorded. iTunes uploaded about 80% of them. remaining 20% iMatch says are inelligible. BS. its a bug.)
Upon turning on iCloud on my iPhones, I lost the ability to tell iTunes which playlists I want on my iPhone. Instead, I am told to download "songs" from my cloud. Annoying as that's a lot of songs to wade through again. And I have cool smart lists created to auto-sync stuff to taste. Fine.
I go to my playlist and there are no songs at all on myiPhone, even after going to settings (good luck finding that tip!) and enabling viewing "all songs" so I can see the cloud. No songs in playlists. I see all the songs if I go to an artist on the cloud and download it again. Then, back to playlist and just those songs are there!!
There is one playlist that enabled me to "download all" from my phone. Rest don't. Why????
Why can't I dictate playlists via iTunes as before?? When you have over 20,000 songs in your library, playlists are really, really important. It will take hours for me to cherry pick through the cloud to find the songs I want on my phone. The songs I already groomed via the power of iTunes.
Good idea here with iCloud, please help with the usability!!!

  • Ipod synch with PC and laptop?

I have been using itunes on my laptop and synch my ipod with it. I now added a new PC running Vista.
Can I synch my ipod 2gen Nano with botyh by laptop and my PC?
dell 520   Other OS   Windows Vista

You will have to set the ipod to manually manage all songs and playlists. This will allow you to connect your ipod to more than one computer.

  • How do you synch Itunes between pc and laptop

I have a PC (windows 7) and a laptop (windows 8.1) where the ITunes music has gotten a bit out of synch since I originally copied the ITunes library to the new (at the time) laptop.
Is there any way that I can synch these 2 machines?

    magall wrote:
Does Home Sharing only work when both machines are switched on and both are connected to the Home Sharing network
Home Sharing works when both computers have iTunes running and they are on the same local network.
Yes, you can run Home Sharing then update both computer so they match.
Then when you go on holiday, they will be the same.

  • Windows Vista - Cannot Uninstall

I cannot uninstall 7.6 from my 64 Bit Windows Vista computer. I can not upgrade either. What could be the problem?

I am running Vista 64 bit. I installed the 64 bit vista version of iTunes...when the installation was finished, it said something along the lines of "iTunes was installed, but encounterred errors. iTunes might not work properly." (Not the exact message, but it was something like that). Now when I open iTunes, I get a message saying exactly "WARNING! The registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for imp and bruning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes".
Now, this message is different from the one I use to get. I follow the guide on iTunes support, the one going into the registry and modifying one to change something with a CD burner...it didn't fix it so I just restored the original state of the registry. I'm not worried about burning CDs, but my iTunes also doesn't support iPhone or iPod Touch (I have both). When I plug it in, it says that the mobile driver is missing please reinstall iTunes.
    NOW FOR THE REAL PROBLEM:
I go to my Uninstall or Change a Program. I click uninstall iTunes. Preparing to remove...Gathering require information...Won't do anything after that. So then I go to apple's website and download the latest 64 vista bit version. I run the installer. Click next. I aaccept. Install it in it's same directory...the one that it is currently installed in. It then starts installing. Updating...copying new files..then. ROLLING BACK ACTION?
    Now for the big thing:
    "iTunes Installer Completed
The installer ecountered errors before iTunes could be configured.
To retry these operations at a later time, please run the installer again.
Click Finish to exit the installer.
Can't get it to uninstall. Can't get it to install. Please help!

  • Lost files during synch

Help...my daughter recently got a new PC (Windows Vista) and when she synched her iPod she lost the additional music she had on the iPod, and now only has what was on her hard drive.
Is there any way to recover the songs she lost?
Thanks in advance for any help...

If the iPod was syncronised with an iTunes that didn't contain everything that was on the iPod then the content that didn't match with iTunes will have been erased. When your iPod is is set to sync with iTunes it picks up any changes you made to in iTunes since you last connected. Anything you added to the your library or playlist will be added to the iPod, anything you deleted from it will be deleted from the iPod. In other words the iTunes and the iPod are kept "in sync". Once the tracks are erased you can't get them back unless you have another backup to restore from.

  • How to remove dead files from the library?

    Hello.
I'm using iTunes (7.6.1.9) on Vista (32 bit) mainly for synching my iPod (nano 3G). I organize my files with other tools like mp3tag. Sometimes I rename the folders where tracks are stored (e.g. I add the release year to the folder name). All this is done outside of iTunes.
Now, when I want to access tracks in iTunes, it happens that iTunes doesn't find the files (because the folder or files were renamed). I can re-add the folder to the library, that's no problem.
But how can I remove all dead files at once from the library? I don't feel like searching the complete library myself (for this is what a PC is made for, isn't it?).
Is there any tool that can help me with this?
    Thanks in advance
    Martin

You can use one of Roberst Jacobson's scripts - iTunesRemovenotfound:
    http://home.comcast.net/~teridon73/itunesscripts/
Or if you prefere to do it in iTunes:
Using a playlist to collect dead tracks for deletion.
Create new regular playlist – Playlist1
Select whole library and drag to Playlist1
Create new Smart Playlist with the rule: Playlist is not Playlist1
This playlist should contain all the dead tracks

  • Won't charge, won't sync new content...

Long story short here... my iPod stopped working about 4 months ago. Meanwhile, the computer it was synched on, my Vista computer, went belly up. I drug my old XP computer out of the closet and booted it to satisfy my surfing needs. Meanwhile, there were a few files on my iPod - 2G iTouch - that I wanted to see if I could upload onto the XP. Lo and behold, when I plugged it into the USB port it started to charge. Once it was charged, I had to update the software (as I said it was about 4 months) and then it asked me if I wanted to authorize this computer (the XP) for use with this device and I said "yes". It transfered all of the purchased files to the XP, but ONLY the purchased files, it would transfer none of the photos and none of the music that came from non-iTunes sources.
Well, this is where things went kinda haywire.
While fussing with the Vista computer I did manage to get it to boot, and when that happened I plugged the iTouch into it and it started to synch. However, it also totally wiped out EVERYTHING except aps and photos. And it stopped charging when plugged into any other computer but the Vista. But as the Vista will only boot once every 20 or so tries I don't want to fuss with it much until I can get it fixed, so I managed one more synch and this time it restored all my music to the iPod touch.
However... it still won't charge on any other computer. When I plug it in to the XP it will synch (I get the "synch in progress" on both the iTunes and the device) however if I try to put any music from the XP on to the iTouch it won't upload, and the battery will ONLY charge when plugged into the Vista. I've tried to reset it (I thought it worked the first time but looking back I think it was only because it was on the Vista) twice but right now its still sitting at 2/3 battery life, and it has been that way for about a day and a half.
I know this sounds convoluted...I guess to "nutshell" it: All my music is on my iTouch and on the Vista, and my iTouch will only charge when plugged into the Vista. It will synch but not update via the XP and it will not charge, nor will it charge on any other cable (even plugged into the wall), nor will it upload any new content (ie music files I've had previously on the XP computer).
    Any suggestions?

Charging the Battery takes at least 2 hours using the High Power USB2.0 port at the back of your Desktop, or via a USB Wall Charger, (dont use 10W iPad Charger unless it is dual port with a max 5Watt outlet)
If you have a new battery fitted, go back to the shop and ask them to solve the problem, most likely poor connection.
    Have a nice day!

  • Converting analog to digital video

Does anybody know a cheap way to convert analog video (from a VHS) to digital video that can be burned on a DVD? A converter box is probably my best option as I have no digital camcorder, but I was looking for one under $150. So far the only ones I can find send the analog signal to the computer, where it is converted to digital by software. This would be fine, but the software is Windows only. I either need a converter box that converts the signal within the box and sends a digital signal to the computer, or one that comes with converting software for Mac. Preferably composite video (yellow, red, white), and preferably something that uses firewire, although if I have to I can use USB
    Thanks,

    iMac G4 15-inch 800 Mhz   Mac OS X (10.3.9)   iMovie 3.0.3, Toast 7 Titanium, no iDVD

Not sure what you mean by "breaks up in places".
In iMovie4, the maximum clip size is 2 gigabytes. When importing from a camera or converter, iMove will just start a new clip ever 9 1/2 minutes (2 gb), but you don't lose a single frame.
If you're getting irregular breaks, including the loss of video (may be hard to tell, if it's only a frame or two), you either have a cable problem (maybe just not plugged-in securely) or a VHS tape that is a bit out of synch. For that, you might need Time Base Correction, where the hardware will basically ignore the synch data on the tape and replace it with it's own. There are VCRs and video converters that have TBC built-in, but they're more expensive. There are also separate pieces of gear that do only that. I dunno whether digital cameras are available that do this.
First, I'd see if it happens with other tapes, then try another VCR, before spending megabucks on more gear.

  • A unique library for each iPod, but still sharing content

Each member of our household has an iPod, four in total, and their own HP laptop, one running Windows 7 and the others running Vista. Currently I synch all to an iTunes library on my laptop (Windows 7), with everyone sharing the same Apple ID for purchases. I'd prefer that everyone have their own Apple ID and library on their own computer, but don't want to lose the ability to share purchases (music, apps). Can this be done?

Yes. Check out the iTunes Home Sharing Capability: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3819
By using Home Sharing, each computer can have its own iTunes library, but can share or copy content across the home network.
