Vista 64bit cannot install drivers for my new 80GB classic

Hi there,
Vista cant install the drivers for my ipod. It seems to see a device then when it searches for the drivers it asks for a disc that came with the device ??? Does this actually knowingly work with vista 64 and if so how do i install the drivers. I have the new ITUNES installed.

I use 2 hard drives,Vista and XP.Vista has many problems, either ipod vista drivers are not available,or it is Vista.Works well on XP.I have the same trouble with Vista

  • Can anyone tell why I cannot install drivers for my IPOD Clasic

I have iTunes installed and I cannot install drivers for my IPOD Classic while using windows vista 64 bit?

Download the apps on your syncing computer and then sync to the iPod. Note that you can only sync apps for the one syncing computer you use with the iPod. You can manage music and videos among different computer.

  • HT1461 I have installed the Windows 8 on my MacBook using BootCamp, but I cannot install drivers for Windows now

I have installed the Windows 8 on my MacBook using BootCamp already, but I cannot install drivers for Windows now: I've got only BootCamp 3 disk and it doesn't goo even if I start it using compatibility options. And my BootCamp on Mac didn't offer me to burn cd with drivers for windows as I saw in many instructions. How can I resolve the problem? Thanks a lot.

Go back to Boot Camp: on the 2nd page you get this:
Download the support software and as Windows is already installed uncheck the 2nd box.

  • Cannot Install Drivers for ZR2440w

I have been trying to install the driver files for my new monitor and repeatedly get one message saying that the files installed successfully, to be followed by one saying that the files did not install. When I try to reinstall, I get a message saying "access is denied."
I've attempted to update the driver directly without success. The computer indicates that it is a generic PNP monitor and the best driver (the windows driver) is installed. It will not install the driver files where they were extracted.
My computer is running Window7 64bit. I have administrator rights, so the work-around for Vista does not apply here.
    Any advice is appreciated.

Do you have an alternate monitor? If so, I would try unplugging the ZR2440w and uninstalling the drivers that are currently installed for it. After you do that, reboot the computer. Once the computer is back on, try installing the drivers once again and see if that works.
    Best of luck,
    Kyle

  • My pc cannot install drivers for my iphone 5c

okay, so my first iphone was an iphone 4, and when i connected it to the computer, it could sync to itunes and also start autoplay to transfer photos and videos to pc. i gave that phone to my mother and got an iphone 5c, remembering to back it up using itunes so i still had all my stuff there. i also moved all the photos/videos i had on my iphone 4 to the pc so that none of them are on the phone anymore. i didnt put them back on my iphone 5c, i just kept them on the pc.
so now i have a bunch of new photos on my iphone 5c that i would like to transfer to my pc to free up space, but when i plugged it in my pc said: "device driver software was not successfully installed." i opened up task manager and it shows up in "other devices" as "iphone", and when i click properties it says "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)." clicking "search automatically for updated driver software" just says "windows could not find driver software for your device." clicking "browse my computer for driver software" and browsing in C:\Windows\System32 while having the "include subfolders" button checked just like this article told me to: iOS: Unable to import photos to computer - Apple Support leaves me with "Windows found driver software for your device but encounted an error trying to install it. MTP USB Device The system cannot find the file specifed." ive tried uninstalling the iphone and reinstalling it but it gives me the same error message every time.
my mother's iphone 4 still connects the computer with no problem, and also still connects to itunes. my iphone 5c can connect to itunes. it just wont connect to the computer. my father also has an iphone 5c, and it can also connect to itunes but it gives me the same problem as mine. the computer i have is a Windows 7 Home Premium and it is 64-bit. i havent tried this on a different computer because i cant, i dont have a different one and i dont really have anyone else to help me, so i dont know if this is an issue that is exclusive to my own computer or not. im sorry that this is so long, i just wanted to add as much detail as i can.

    Uninstall and reinstall iTunes

I have a new notebook with Windows 8.1  64bit  and a LaserJet M1120 MFP multifunctional. For printing is OK, it found plug and play driver and I am able to print. For scanning, I couldnt find drivers. Please help! Thanks...

    Hello Gabitza,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand you're unable to find a scanning driver for the Laserjet M1120 MFP. I will do my best to assist you! There isn't a full feature software available, just a plug and play driver. As a workaround, you can use another program to scan a document.
Please follow this HP document on How to Scan: Windows 8. Click on how to scan without HP software and there is four programs to try. Let me know if you are able to scan a document.
    Have a great a night!

    Hey shabnamsarup,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities! I found an article that should help you out. I would pay special attention to step 9) Verify that USB drivers are installed, but would also go through all of the steps to make sure that it isn't something else causing the issue:

  • Cannot install drivers for PXI-MXI-3

We bought a MXI-3 system for our Acqiris cc103 crate. About 2 months ago, after initial troubles, I managed to install and test the system. Unfortunately, I had to uninstall the PCI card and software because I wasn't using the crate and my computer didn't like the card and software installed without the link to the PXI controller.
Now I want to use the crate again and tried to install the software and hardware. After 3 hours I still have no success. MXI-3 optimise doesn't recognise the crate and the link LED on the PXI controller is off.
I had a look at the device manager and cannot find the PCI-PCI bridge icon, nor any unrecognised hardware and conflicts.
    I am running Windows 2000
    Please, can you help?

I realize this is kind of late, Erik, but a few suggestions here.
First, power down your PXI chassis, and your PC. Power up the PXI FIRST. Then power up your PC. You *must* do it in this order, or it won't work.
You should see your MXI optimize.

  • 15k after patches: Cannot assemble drivers for root /pci@1c,700000/scsi@1/d

All domains booted fine before patching through my local patch proxy on Thursday, June 15th. After running smpatch update, all domains went into the reboot loop with:
Cannot assemble drivers for root /pci@1c,700000/scsi@1/disk@0,0:b
Jun 15 20:42:57 2006 Cannot mount root on /pci@1c,700000/scsi@1/disk@0,0:b fstype ufs
I've reviewed other posts with similar error but there shouldn't be a driver completely missing, as it did boot fine many times before patching. From google search it looked as if /kernel/drv/sd.conf might have been effected by a patch, but that doesn't seem to be the case as a search through all /var/sadm/patch doesn't show any files with that string. Perhaps the scsi drivers were changed somehow?
If this is a patch, I would really like to narrow down which one it might be so I don't need to un-install all of them.

Thanks for the responses, I really do appreciate the help.
My goal was to install Solaris 8 onto 2 systems, a V880 and a V890.
Initially my problem was that I tried to install our existing Solaris 8 07/03 flash archive onto the V880 (and V890). But the V880 and V890 needed newer hardware links, I had to re-create our Solaris 8 flash archive with the 02/04 release of Solaris 8.
Now the V880 and V890 would boot from the network and the OS would install onto the local drives. But when the OS would boot from the local disk, I would received the error "Cannot assemble drivers for root /pci@8,600000/SUNW,qlc@2/fp@0,0/disk@w500000e01
1476eb1,0:a". The machine would panic and cycle - booting and panincing over and over again.
Since the net boot image recognized the disks but the flash archive installed image did not, I booted the V880 with "boot net -s" to view the loaded modules. I compared a V240 running Solaris 8 with the net booted V880 as I have no other V880s in the environment. I also compared the directories /kernel/drv/sparcv9/ to see which drivers were missing.
What I discovered is that since I create our flash archive on a scsi based system and I did not use the SUNWCXall package cluster in the profile, the drivers for the FC-AL drives do not get included on the system from which the flash archive is created. The V880 and V890 internal drives are FC-AL based. This was the root cause of my problem.
Thru the comparison described above, I learned that I needed to add the following packages to the install profile of the master system:
socal driver - SUNWluxl and SUNWluxlx
qlc driver - SUNWqlc and SUNWqlcx
usoc driver - SUNWusoc and SUNWusocx
Then I recreated the flash archive and re-jumped the V880 and V890. Both systems booted from their internal drives. And there was much rejoicing...

Cannot install drivers. No Intel(R) Adapters are present in this computer
Cannot install drivers. No Intel(R) Adapters are present in this computer
Reads the error message I purchased an RaLink USB Wireless adapter IEEE 802.11 b installed in an XP Pro system, an Intel D925XEBC2 MB with A P4 CPU 3.80 GHZ
I have 4 gigs of RAM installed but it reads only 2.87 RAM on system properties
I installed the RaLink Drivers and the Ralink interface. I get a strong signal and see that the wifi is there but cannot connect. The 1394 Net adaptor #2 is showing as is the USA wireless card
I was asked to install the PIN which I assumed meant the network security but my keyboard will only input numbers not the letters, otherwise the keyboard operates properly on notepad but not on the RaLink software
Under other devices it shows  both the Ethernet controller and the Network controller with a question mark "?".
I have tried uninstalling and starting the computer several times but they will not install correctly.
The windows interface shows no wi fi system at all. After going back and forth now both windows and the RaLink interface shows no wifi system.
When I went to https://downloadcenter.intel.com/detail_desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18717  and downloaded the 32 bit file and tried to install it I got the error.

    Hi there,
you're in the wrong forum, but I'll try to guide you.
(a better forum for your question would likely be this:
    http://social.answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/networking?tab=Threads )
Your RALink wireless adaptor is not manufactured by Intel, that's why Intel driver download won't help you.
You need to go here (RALink is now Mediatek) to get the drivers for your adaptor

    Good luck! :)

  • Mac Pro stuck on gray screen after installing software for a new keyboard

I am having a huge issue with my very important work computer! For a few weeks, my Mac has been freezing on the gray screen during start up. Since I had two external hard drives plugged in, I would unplug one of them and the Mac would always restart correctly once one was unplugged. Well today I was installing software for a new keyboard and the mac prompted me to restart. Once I restarted, the gray screen came up again and no matter what I did it would not start up correctly again. I tried unplugging everything except the keyboard and monitor and nothing works. I tried ejecting the crash-causing CD with the keyboard using all of the commands I found on this forum board and nothing worked. I saw forums about manually ejecting the CD by pushing a pin-hole but I cannot find that pinhole anywhere! Then again, the CD might not even be the problem but since the computer gave me the gray screen of death right after using the CD I am thinking that it is the problem. I use this computer for editing a TV show and creating websites so there is a ton of files on it and I need to get it up and running again ASAP. Any suggestions would be appreciated and I am sure by now you can tell that I am not a Mac expert so please dumb it down for me. Thank you!!

I would start by breaking your thoughts and sentences out from one long paragraph.
    Start at the basics.
    Always have backups.
One at least that is a spare boot system you can use.
Clone your system. SuperDuper does a great job for only $29
Boot from another hard drive or last OS X DVD
Repair your drive with Apple Disk Utility along with 3rd party disk maintenance and repair
Hold Option key until the boot manager, then hold mouse to open optical drive.
You can hold mouse on startup and it will eject also.
Hold and continue to hold Shift key during startup to repair the boot drive in minimal fashion.
What device and driver? hint: never use CD, just go online as the CD is usually out of date anyway.
Fill in Mac OS X version and more about hardware would help in posts and in your profile signature.
