  • No Sound after Bootcamp 3.0 drivers

Just installed Bootcamp 3.0 drivers from the Snow Leopard disk, and now have no sound.
During the install process there were lots of references to Sigmatel, which is what I think the driver used to be, but in Deice Manager the sound driver is now IDT which also has a menu bar icon bottom right.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

I have "solved" this by installing just the Bootcamp 2.1 sound driver from here:
    http://files.geoffgarside.co.uk/bootcamp/Drivers/IDT%20SigmaTel/
The original problem is that with 3.0 there was no sound from the internal speakers on my MBP...only from the headphone jack where the optical output red light also showed. I could not find anyway of making it play through the speakers.
Would still be grateful for any proper resolution of how to make the BC 3 sound driver work.
    Thanks

  • 2.4ghz Macbook Vista X86 problems

Hey all, I'm having a bit of trouble with my Macbook running vista X86. Wondering if anyone can help.
I'm having problems accessing the control panel for windows. Pretty much every time I start it up I get an empty window. When I right click on the desktop and go to personalise, nothing happens at all.
Here's a screen capture of what happens when I go to control panel from the start menu.
    http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/6531/controlpaneltc0.jpg
Was wondering if anyone's had any similar experiences using vista and if there's any way of fixing it.
    Thanks,

I have the same problem. After three installs of Vista x86, i have successfully used my purchased OSX dvd to install the drivers onto Vista (bootcamp version 2.1). YETTTTT none of the drivers work. I have no internet, no track pad, no video...nothing. I have been searching for about 5 hours for anyone with the same issues, and i find nothing. I just think the new versions are not supported yet. hoy hoy?!
ps. i also tried with windows XP, using 2.0 Bootcamp, and 2.1.....as well as installing 2.0 first...blah blah.. nothing worked.
Apple really is not prepared with boot camp i am disappointed to say.

  • Windows Vista frozen when running on a MacBook

Hello all - I have a brand new MacBook running OSX 10.6.2. I've successfully installed Windows Vista Ultimate 32 via BootCamp. Apple drivers are loaded correctly and everything seems to work fine except Vista seems to FREEZE after running for a few minutes. Sometimes it lasts longer, sometimes it gets frozen immediately after logging in. Does anyone knows a cure? Much thanks!

Same problem... Tried going through all the posts... No result...
    ANYONE, PLEASE HELP...

  • Mac Pro crashing with BootCamp 3.0 drivers that came with snow leopard

I have a 2008 (early) 2.8ghz Mac Pro. Additions are 2 500gb HD for 1tb software RAID 0, and stock 320gb HD. Running boot camp with windows vista on the stock 320gb HD. No probs with bootcamp 2.1 but when upgraded to bootcamp 3.0 drivers that came with snow leopard. Computer crashes and does not boot past the windows symbol just before login prompt. Also does a crash dump and restarts.
Reformatting drive and reinstalling Vista with 2.1 drivers have no problems.
    Please help!

Apple technote on renaming AppleHFS.sys - the read feature for HFS volumes.
The faulty HFS driver is a valid concern.
It seems to happen on many systems.
    You find it in Windows/system32/drivers/AppleHFS.sys
Renaming to AppleHFS_disabled.sys will avoid the blue screens until you have found another solution or Apple updates Bootcamp 3.0.
If the system crashes before you can edit the name you can do it in OS X as well if you install NTFS drivers. Paragon has a test driver that will do temporarily.
(can't find the technote - searching Apple support kb has only gotten harder in the last couple years, and typing "Apple HFS Windows" in Google is something best I can do)

  • 2 problems, video drivers, and cpu underclocked a22m

hi, I have an a22m 2628-RSU, first off, whatever OS I install the cpu runs at 697mhz, the bios says it is an 850mhz (the cpu it self says 850/256 meaning 850mhz 256k cache) I even replaced the CPU with an identical one, and still 697mhz.
the bios has the cpu set to performance not battery life. I have the same problem with an a21m which is a 700mhz, but only runs at 547mhz.
problem 2, I have installed windows 7 RC (7100) everything works great except it does not like the video card, same happend with vista. It says drivers are installed, but I know they are not functioning. 3d screen savers like the 3d text which work flawlessly in windows xp, tell me that my video card does not support them, in both windows vista, and 7.
thank you in advanced for any help.

    Welcome to the forum!
You have to push the machine pretty hard (open 10 Firefox windows and run Photoshop at the same time) to get the CPU to work at maximum speed. That is one of the ideas behind Intel's SpeedStep that your A22m has.
Graphic cards as old as yours are not supported by Vista or W7.
    Hope this helps.

  • GX 720 Vista x64 Problem

1st I would like to thank you for all the help you provided.
I have another question:Did someone install Vista x64 on the laptop gx720 . I get the same problem as 2 more guys on the forum. It freeze on the Log screen. Xp x32 and x64 is working OK
Did someone install Windows 7 x64 on the GX720 ?

I've no problems running Vista 64 on my GX720. With a proper install it should boot into Vista just fine. To get full
functionality you need to then install all necessary 64 bit drivers. Before installing Vista 64 I downloaded all the
drivers from MSI here - http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=driver&maincat_no=135&prod_no=1521.
I then burned the drivers to a disk for installing after the Vista OS install. On the MSI driver download page they
only state the drivers as being 32 bit but the 64 bit drivers are in fact included. I did though have to install the
graphics drivers from the driver disk that came with my GX720-032US to get the Nvidia 9600 working, otherwise
it was just running generic graphics. You basically just need to put your driver disk in,go to device manager &
click on every device that has a  ?  & update the drivers from the disk. Just point it to look for them on the disk
& it will find & install the proper drivers. It may be that all the drivers on the driver disk that came with the laptop
also have the 64 bit version included but I downloaded from MSI anyway figuring they may be more up to date.

  • Upgraded window from vista to 7 on pavilion DV7 sound not working

Pavilion DV7 1468NR upgraded windows from vista 64 to windows 7 64 sound not working

    Hi,
    Try the following.
Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp45001-45500/sp45073.exe
When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
When complete, restart the notebook and let Windows fully load.  Open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select Playback Devices.  Left click 'Speakers and Headphones' once to highlight it and then click the Set Default button - check if you now have audio.
If you still have no audio, open windows Control Panel, open Administrative Tools and open Services.  Check that the following services are all showing as Status= Started and Start-up Type= Automatic
    Audio Service
    Multimedia Class Scheduler
    Windows Audio
    Windows Audio Endpoint Builder
If you need to make a change to any of the above, just right click the service and select Properties, then in the dropdown box next to 'Start-up type',  select Automatic and click Apply to save the change.  Then click the Start button.

  • UNRECONIZED PROBLEM WITH SB AUDIGY SOUND CARD

Hi, you all. Pls help me with this problem of my SB Audigy Platinum (SB0060). In Windows XP or even Windows Vista, they can find out my sound card as an Multimedia new hard ware, but when I install sound card driver from CD (original CD driver) fail to install and a message like this: "we cannot find any support products in this computer, pls make sure that is is plugged in your computer already...". I am very disappointed with this 'cause i really like the quality of this Creative sound source. Pls help me. Thanks a lot! Pls answer me : [color="#000099">[email protected](PS: THIS CD DRIVER COMES WITH THIS SOUND CARD BOX, AND I TRY TO INSTALL A NEW FRESH WINDOWS WITH STANDING ALONE SOUND CARD WITH NO CONFLICT TO OTHER PCI CARD, STILL FAILED)

<EM>. A friend of mine who also has this soundcard, claims he has a Decoder tab in his device controls in audiohq.. But I dont?!?</EM>
    <EM></EM>
That is quite odd. Your Audio HQ should look like this: http://img23.echo.cx/img23/8494/hqdecode7kl.jpg. If not, then you should uninstall you drivers (using the CTZAPXX.exe app on the CD) and reinstall them.
<EM>2. When I choose to calibrate my speakers -> basic, FL, FR, RL, RR, C plays ok BUT after that a low freq sound plays for 3 secs then my SL and SR starts to play a high freq beeps respecti'vely...</EM>
The program does the same thing on my old T5400 and my current Cambridge MegaWorks 550. My brother has the Audigy 2 ZS also and his Logitech Z-5300s do it as well. I think the program is funky, not your speakers.
<EM>3. Since I want to enjoy DTS, I downloaded Windvd, cofigured it to 8 channels (7.). But the SL and SR wont play anything... So I tried Windvds test and all goes well until it is SL and SR turn, they dont play anything... Almost the same as the speaker calibration app. BUT note that in the Creative THX setup console everything works well...</EM>
    <EM></EM>
Go into the Options for your DVD software (this applies to any player, not just WinDVD) and set it to S/PDIF Passthrough. This will send the digital signal to your card, which will see it and decode it. Setting WinDVD to 7. mode will try to have the CPU decode the signal. If it doesn't work with WinDVD, then try using Media Player Classic 6.4.x.x and setting the decoder settings to Digital Passthrough. Note that you need to make sure the that decoders are enabled in the Audio HQ (for which you may need to reinstall your drivers.
Note: DTS-ES supports 6.. Dolby Digital EX supports 7., I think.

  • Problem with built in Sound

I have this simple PE NEO-2 motherboard .. and i use the built in sound of the board... the problem i m having is that the sound suddenly disappears during the game.. or other music application... sometime it disappear after 2 min or some time after couple of hours...
So is my board faulty... or problem with drivers or bios update.??
    Thanks

    k.
well basiclly, when i had the same sound card on my 865PE Neo 2, it had the same problems. take battlefield Vietnam for example, the jet sounds would disappear after a while and come bak very very choppy, as did the weapon sounds. they actually reversed the sound. playing prom back to front.
The problem is the card it self. MSI take no pride what so ever in their sound.
the only way to fix, is either lower sample rate, which resluts in cracklier sound, updating drivers, which sometimes dont work, or just simply upgrading your sound card.
because of this problem i went out and baught my self a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS Platinum pro.
    frankly.
it i WELL worth the money.
if you want a budget card but still verry good, look for the Sound Blaster Live range. verry verry good.
Hope i am of some service to you all

  • Having problem running an application

I have recently installed jdk 1.2.2 and i have no problem running applet but when i try to run an application i get the message 1 error can't find<filename> . java.
The path in autoexec.bat is fine. JRE File is include in my file jdk1.2.2.
I have installed and deinstalled it a couple of time and can't make it work.
    Could someone help me please!!
    Thanking you in advance!

doesn't sound like a path problem at all. you say when you try to RUN the app you get a message can't find filename.java. When you're running the app you run the binary class file i.e. java MainClass.class. If you're compiling the app you would do javac MainClass.java. Clarify your situation further if this does not help you out.

  • Problems running Flash Builder 4.6 profiler

    Hello,
I have a problem running Flash Builder profiler. When I click "Profile" it starts my web application, but nothing else happens inside Flash Builder itself - no new data appears in Profiler perspective, Flash Builder itself doesn't show any sign of doing something.
My mm.cfg contains the next line: "PreloadSwf=C:/flash builder workspace/.metadata/.plugins/com.adobe.flash.profiler/11/ProfilerAgent.swf?host=localhost &port=9999"
    Additional details:
    OS: Windows 7
    Flash Builder version: 4.6
Tested web browsers: Firefox, IE 8 - the same problem in both of them
    Flash player versions: ActiveX/Plug-in Version:11.7.700.169
I made sure that ProfilerAgent.swf indeed exists in the location defined in mm.cfg. In addition, I tried to change port 9999 to other ports (both in mm.cfg and in Flash Builder). I also verified that the location of ProfilerAgent.swf appears in trusted locations of Flash Player.
I would be very grateful if someone could help me to solve this problem.
    Thanks,
    Valeria

This sounds like something has gone wrong during installation. CSAR and CSLIBS references should be set up automatically during installation.
There should also be no need to import the Flex SDKs as CS Extension Builder 2.0 ships with them included. It won't do any harm though having the CS Flex SDKs imported.
Can you detail how you installed CS Extension Builder 2.0, please and where you obtained it from?
Here are the installation instructions I would recommend starting from a clean FlashBuilder 4.6 instance:
To install Adobe Creative Suite Extension Builder, download the ZIP file and unzip it into a root location (SDKRoot).
Install Extension Builder in Eclipse with Flash Builder or Flash Builder Standalone:
In Eclipse, choose Help > Install New Software.
In the Install dialog, click Add.
In the Add Site dialog, click Local... to browse to the SDK root folder or enter the URL of the update site.
Name the site CS SDK and click OK to confirm the changes.
Select the new CS SDK site in the "Work with" field.
-- Select all the Adobe Creative Suite Extension Builder components.
-- Click Next to confirm the selection.
In the Install Details review dialog, click Next to confirm that you want to install all the components listed.
Accept the terms of license agreements and click Finish.
    Re-start  Eclipse as recommended.
I obtained it from Adobe and installed it using the Help > Install software option, but without unzipping it. Maybe that was it.
Now I've done a clean installation and it works perfect. I did it with administrator permissions, don't know if it has anything to do with it, but I read it somewhere and did so just in case!
    Thanks a lot!

  • Problems finding drivers for late 2008 MBP Windows xp 64

    Hi,
I'm having problems installing drivers for Windows xp 64 bit pro. The main problem is that i have lost the leopard install disc that came with the mac. As far as i know the drivers located on the leopard install disc 1 are compatible with Win xp 64?
Does anybody know where i can get a complete list of all the correct drivers to download? I've been doing trial and error driver installation for about 1 week now and getting really upset that i have not been able to resolve this issue.
    Any help greatly appreciated,

    Hi Stefan,
    Thanks for replying.
Perhaps i am thinking of Windows Vista 64 then? I'm pretty sure that i saw a post somewhere which said that Apple released 64 bit drivers with the latest leopard install disc for the new MBP.
    Fred
    Hi Fred,
yes, Vista 64-bit is supported on some MAcs. See here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1846
