Vista Business Router compatible- I have one!
I gave up on the 600N. It would not take the CD, could not find the router, yet the router worked. I then went to the router admin page configured the router. Everything seemed to work fine. Downloaded Easy connect, used it on the laptops and they cnnected. I used WPA Personal TIKP and everything seemed to work fine. Within two hours the wireless failed, No matter what I did including power down, disconnecting router, for 5 min, reset power off, 30 sec, power on 30 sec etc etc etc nothing worked, Laptops would not recognize the router.
The next day the 600N crapped out completely. Now the whole system was down and I had to connect to the modem for the time being. Later that night I spent another 4 hours on the 600N and finally gave up. Took it back to Future shop and the guy said honest it works, here's another new one. Took the new one home. Software would not recognize the router but this time the router did not work period. It would not connect, and the software was useless. Read this board and found out the router is known not to recognize its own disk.
I went to Best Buy talked to a nice guy. He said not to fool with the 600N too buggy, hard-drive connection does not work reliably and even though the most expensive unit, he said stay away from it. Interesting thing is, I never mentioned I had just spent 9 hours with 2-600Ns. He gave me the 310N, said it was the best. It was half the price. I plugged it in. The disk saw the router immediately config'd it in 3 minutes and it worked!!
Went to the laptops. Searched for the connection, it popped up, asked for the key, entered and runs like a charm So, I have Vista Business on a Dual-Quad Zeon 3.0 and now I have a LAN and wireless that works. It has been a week without one drop or one problem. If that changes I will post it here. The next addition will be a NAS200, if that works I will post it as well.
Might be possible that the routers firmware is not working properly ....
So reset & reconfigure the router & see if it works ...

Service Manager Disabled - Vista Business

I have started a clean installation of Business One on a Windows Vista Business environment. I have installed SQL 2005 Standard Edition SP2 and then installed the Server Component for SBO. After installing the Server Tools from SBO 2007A PL8 i cannot seem to start any of my services. All the buttons on my service manager are "Greyed Out" therefore cannot import a licence file, cannot start the licence server etc...
Has anyone experiance a similar problem, or am I missing something?

I haven't gone around to try this yet, but I think there might be some issues around the vista UAC. I'll post back if I figure out what to do.

I have just begun my Java programming class and am on an AMD Turion64 x2 processor. I am running Vista Business 32bit OS and have been seeming to have some issues installing the JDK and JRE in the DOS environment. Issues such as; setting the CLASSPATH in the environment variables. We do have JGRAPS program which seems to be installed correctly but when I copy code from our book in the JGRASP program, it returns errors. I am wanting to set the PATH and CLASSPATH of the JDK and JRE. Anybody out there that can help me would be great. Thanks in advance.

I want to use an Airport Extreme as my router. I currently have a Verizon FiOS router. I have Verizon for phone, internet and TV. However, TV-wise, I just have a basic service for one TV with just a regular box. No HD, no DVR. Don't need access to a menu, widgets, on-demand. Can I eliminate the FiOS Router and just use the Airport Extreme and still have phone and internet?
I know that it will increase my wireless coverage in my house but will it increase the speeds?
Not sure what you are asking here. The AirPort Extreme is only going to be as fast as the Internet connection that it receives.....which is 75/75. It cannot take a 75/75 connection and make it go any faster.
If you locate the AirPort Extreme in an area where you need more wireless signal coverage, the AirPort Extreme would deliver 75/75 in that area. But, keep in mind that the AirPort Extreme must connect to the FIOS router using a permanent, wired Ethernet cable connection.
If you are asking if the AirPort Extreme can wirelessly connect to the FIOS modem router, and extend the FIOS wireless network, the AirPort Extreme would not be compatible with a FIOS product for that purpose. -
Acrobat X Pro advertised as compatible w Windows Vista Business
I just purchased Acrobat X Pro and it was advertised as compatible with Windows Vista Business. I tired to install it and kept getting an error telling me my system was insufficient to run Acrobat X Pro. I checked the specs again, I icheck the computer configuration and everythin was within spec. i called tech support and they told me that I had to upgrade to Windows 7. Now that I have acquired a serial number I am told I can not return Acrobat X Pro so I am stuck with a product I can't use and looking at another $200 to upgrade to Windows 7. I am very unhappy. I have been a Adobe used for many years including previous versions of Acrobat Pro I am a user of Creative Suite and Photoshop also. Adobe used to be a great company with great products. Now it looks like I'm SOL if there is no solution to this issue!
I strongly disagree with what you were apparently told. Folks have been running AAX on XP since it came out and VISTA is a step above that. There are three things to consider when you do the install: 1. Log in as an administrator; 2. Empty the TMP folder; and 3. disable anti-virus. If you continue to have problems, please try to capture the error (screen capture) and post that here.

i have a targus 4.0 bluetooth usb adapter and so i can pair my iphone 4s and ipad air wirelessly, it seems to pair ok but when i try to connect i get a error message or not compatible. can some one tell me if it i can use this bluetooth with my devices, thanks

You can only add songs to your iOS device from iTunes via Wi-Fi sync or via your cable, not Bluetooth.

I just got my cable company to switch my wireless router to a wired one considering now I have the wireless airport device (the newest one) but now I can't get a wireless signal. The router works when directlyplugged in,the aiport wireless device is green. I've tried going through my new MacBook Pro settings and it the diagnostics check, it says network changes detected, I tell it that it "yes" does connect to a cable modem, it tells me to restart it, after I do it asks if there are any other devices hooked up ( firewall) and when I say no it tells me that it can't fix the problem.
Now I know that I probably have a new IP address because of the cable company switching the boxes but it was working fine with the other box, now there isn't a signal to be had on it!

Try restoring the iPhone to factory settings. If you are having difficult restoring, put the iPhone into Recovery Mode and see if that then works:

If not, or if a restore to factory settings does not fix the problem, then your iPhone may have a hardware problem. You can only get the iPhone serviced by Apple in Canada, so you will have to take the iPhone there or send it to someone you know in Canada who can get the iPhone serviced and send it back to you. The only option for getting service in Pakistan would be to pay some unauthorized repair shop to attempt a repair, after which Apple will no longer provide any service even in Canada.

I have one PC with a modem and linksys router #BEFW11S4 installed. I have 3 other PC's which connect to it via Linksys wireless-G adapters. Things have been working just fine until recently when now at least twice a day my Pc's with the adapters lose connection with the router. Any suggestions?
Open routers set up page ..... click status & see the firmware version ...... if required update ....download the latest firmware from http://www.linksys.com/download ........

Internet Explorer is not available for Mac.
But you can make Safari pretend to be Internet Explorer in some cases.
Safari > Preference > Advanced
Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
"Develop" menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
Click Develop, move mouse down to "User Agent".
Select Internet Explorer from popup on the rightside.
After using Internet Explorer, revert back to Safari, doing the same routine. -

SwathiThis is very much possible and feasible. Its called as Single Table model. Good example is SA System Subject Area where we just have a single physical source. No need to create Alias in Physical. Simply use the same table twice in BMM with one Logical Table as Dummy Fact..Like say Count of Users (aggregated). Then apply normal Complex join in BMM and present in presentation layer.

Is it like one Contract Account can link to only one premise? Or does it depend on Company data model?
One Business partner has 2 properties at 2 different premises. And 2 contract at these 2 premises.
To manage this situation, Does BP need 2 different CA or only CA can have these 2 contract with different premises?

The cardinality is as follows:
1 BP : n CA
1 CA : n Contracts
1 Contract : 1 Installation
1 Connection object : n Premises
1 Premise : n Installations
So a Bp can have 1 or several contract accounts, and an account can have 1 or more contracts, and the contracts for an account can be for any service locations - they are not limited [standard system behavior] to a specific location. Client data model and business rules may determine differently.

Can I have more than one routing status 4 for one product in R/3? What impact will have this routings on Financial departament?

I want to know how the financial SAP guys decide which routing to chose when they run the final month calculation. Or can they make a sum of all routings I have?
For example if I have:
- 3 SMT line where I produce one product. So, I want to have dedicate routing for each line and production version.
In this case if we produce:
200 part on the first line wich have machine time equal with 4h/100pcs
800 part on the second line with have machine time equal with 2h/100pcs
on last one we don't produce now but this have machine time equal with 5h/100pcs.
I want also to mention that all operations in all routings are marked CostRelevncy.
So, the production planner will have the perfect planning But how is this for financial SAP specialist? Is easy to manage?
