Vista problems, tried usual fixes, please help.
I have Windows Vista with a 1st gen shuffle, 60GB photo and 80GB video. The shuffle and photo work flawlessly with Vista. The video does not finish syncing correctly. The songs all download, but iTunes crashes while finsihing the sync. I then have to completely restart to because iTunes can not be killed. Upon reconnecting the iPod, the status bar shows 45GB of "Other" , actually my songs, but starts a whole new sync. After the crash, only the first few songs, in alphabetically order by artist, are available on the iPod, although it reports 45GB used. Its like it fails while syncing the library file.
Things I have tried already. The usual uninstall/reinstall, turning off Windows UAC, turning UAC on and running in admin mode, etc. I have the lastest version of iTunes, and have installed the 5/22 iPod windows update. I also have all other recommended windows updates. I have tried turning of syncing of photos and videos, and have just music selected at this point.
If anyone has any idea of something I am missing, please help. I guess this weekend I might have to spend time on the phone with tech support if noone has any idea here. Why has it taken 7+ months to get this working in Vista?

Hey so I just set up my iphone 4 and had signed in to imessage with my number and apple id and it just won't let me send imessages. I get the not delivered message. I've tried restarting the phone and imessage it's self multiple times. I've also tried signing in and out of my apple ID. I've reset my wifi and 3g tried with each turned on independantly and still no luck. I even tried using just the phone number and just the apple ID to send messages and still nothing as well as restarting the network settings. I would really appreciate it if anyone had any other ideas. I've yet to be able to send a message since I've set it up.
It's registered to the same apple ID as my other devices (same e-mail and it doesnt get stuck activating
or anything) and the number is the new one from the sim currently in the phone. It even shows the imessage option to contacts who have imessenger it just won't deliver once sent.
I left it off over night and still the same. Really no idea. I even tried logging out of from my apple ID and sending an imessage to my appleID e-mail address from my number and the same thing happens.
There must be a reason indeed especially since as mentioned above it's giving me the option to send imessages to the people who have it so it must have some connection to them. -
I have tried everything but I can't connect my iphone to my laptop. It says that apple mobile device failed to be installed. I have read everything on the internet and did everything but still am facing the same problem. Can you please help me.
Again without stating the trouble shooting steps you have taken, its hard to direct you with any information.
Try a different port on the computer.
Does the iphone beep when u plug it up. ?
Plug iphone into computer and give it 3 to 4 minutes to see if it connects and is running slow.,
Delete the apple mobile device from your computer.
Upgrade itunes to newest version.
Is you USB cord defective ?
Any USB 3.0 on your system ? .
Delete or Disable any antivirus program on your computer ?
I will tell u the problem is your computer not the phone.
We could do this for hours. -

No I didn't. Someone suggested in another thread that my iPod was registering as a disk instead of a device, so if I removed my iPod as a disk on Disk Utility then it would reload etc. and show up in iTunes. Which it didn't, and instead just cleared all my music (16,000 songs).
So frustrating.
Hope if you have the same problem you are able to find a better solution! -
Developer 6 Timer Problem... Please help

I have installed Developer 6(Oracle Product) on my system. I am facing a strange problem whenever I try to use Create_Timer built in. The cursor moves to starting of the Item being modified as soon as the space bar is pressed (timed for timer expiration). If I remove the Built-in the problem is resolved.

AnandUpgrade to the latest patch and the problem shoudl go away - this issue was fixed I think in 6.0.8.13+
You can also try setting Keey Cursor position to Yes on the item. -

Is the status light green?
Your Airport device may be in Bridge Mode.
Airport Utility 6:
Open Airport Utility, select the Airport Express and click Edit. Navigate to the Network tab and change Router Mode to DHCP and NAT. Then click Update on the bottom right.
Airport Utility 5:
Open Airport Utility and click Manual Setup. Navigate to the Internet icon and change Connection Sharing to Share a Public IP Address. Then click Update on the bottom right. -

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

In iTunes, go to the Store in the left menu, select iTunes Store, wehn it opens, make sure you are on the home screen (icon of a house in the menu bar) and from the righthand side, select Account.
Next you will see all of your account information. Just a little don, you will find: Apple ID overview, there it says, Authorised computers; click on the button to deauthorise.
And you should be done.

This is an annoying problem for many people. Most likely your dock connector (on the bottom where you plug in your phone) is dirty or screwed up and is probably just coincidence that it happened after you updated. Some people have had success cleaning the port with a dry clean tooth brush. There is a long discussion going on at the thread I linked below. Good luck...

I updated my iPad mini to ios 7.0.2 couple days ago. Everything was fine until yesterday. I noticed that it seemed to have a mind of its own. Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...
If no joy...
Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.
If the issue persists...
Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and Restore

Plugged in my iPod, downloaded the update fine and it failed at "verify ipod restore" and put my device in Recovery Mode. Can't get it out after trying tons of things, including different computers. Decided finally to just run the Recovery and it's failing at the same part and both are giving me a "9" error. I'm missing my iPod Touch!!
