Hi Whalenbajan,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read your thread on your HP Notebook and not being able to create recovery discs. The system does only allow you to make one set of recovery disks. Here is a document on creating recovery discs.
If all else fails then contact HP Support and Order the recovery disks. If you are calling within North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, click here: click here.

I keep getting the CS5 service manager error message - ordinal not found.  Specifically ' the ordinal 3873 could not be located in the dynamic link library LIBEAY32.dll'  Any ideas please on how to fix this?

That's very puzzling, but you seem to have an older version of the Adobe Extension Manager for CS5.x.  You are on 5.0.x, R_Kelly mentions 5.2.x, and I'm on 5.5.x
Maybe you need to make sure you are updated to Photoshop 12.1 update first, then make sure you are updated to Adobe Extenson Manager 5.5.0.163.

  • InDesign Content Manager error message in CS3

I recently switched laptops (XP to Win7) and now I'm receiving the InDesign Content Manager error message. I'm running CS3 and the InDesign file is CS3, as well. I also ran the plug-in and software update, but I'm still unable to open any InDesign files.  Any help to resolve this issue would be appreciated.

Sorry Willi, that's jut not true. I run CS3 with no issues whatever on two different Win7 pro x64 systems.
I don't, however know what that error message is. Is there any more to it? Have you tried running as Administrator or in XP compatibility mode? (I don't run in compatibility mode, but my users are admins). Do you run a font manager? What do you have for Anti Virus and Malware scanners?

Hi and welcome to the forums!
I suggest you reinstall both the desktop manager and Roxio
I would suggest you use the desktop clean uninstall program,
and the Roxio clean uninstall program to remove everything from the registry
and system folders. Then you can build clean versions of both:

  • IPod Touch stuck in recovery mode, error message 1611 when trying to restore.

I bought a 2nd generation ipod touch from someone on CL and it appeared to me that it just needed to be plugged into the computer and be synced with itunes. But its stuck in recovery mode. When I plug it into my computer, itunes says it sees the ipod is in recovery mode and needs to be restored. Sout t I click on restore and it tries to restore it, but then it stops in the process and gives me error message 1611. I looked up this error message and it has to do with system security. I messed with my security settings and I still get this message. I tried using my home computer instead of my laptop and it still gave me the same message. Ive also tried holding down the power and home button for several seconds and it still goes back to recovery and gives me the same error message when I try to restore it. Also, itunes recognizes my ipod, but my computer does not.. Can anyone help me? Do I just have to bring the ipod into an apple store and have them figure it out? Thanks in advance!

  • Solution Manager - Error Message DSWP349 -  No IBASE Components Exist ...

The subject error DSWP349 occurs when using transaction Notif_Create for a new Service Desk Message.
The error message points to the use of IB52/IB53 which has already been correctly (as far as I can tell) used to set up the IBASE components.
The error message also point to Note 824640 which I have checking out and also points to Note 1059271 from SAP Service Marketplace.
I am going to try and apply some of those notes' recommendations but as they do not seem directly relevant, am looking for any other suggestions in the meantime; for example, if anyone has an printout example of how the IBASE and its lovely components should look in IB52/IB53 that would be most appreciated !
Last point.  Maybe part of the problem is that our SAP Solution Manager only links to one other internal SAP system and is not 'connected' to SAP AG (as it is an external system - this for security reasons), however we do have, for example, some external RFCs entered as part of the configuration.
    Thanks all.

    Hi
The issue is now resolved, this is how I did it.
    1) Removed entries from BCOS_CUST from client 000 for OSS_MSG which was pointing to the RFC name
    Then got another error:
No RFC connection to the central lock information management system.
The project lock functionality is active in the local system, but there is no RFC connection to the Solution Manager system.
2a) Ran the report in SA38 TMW_CONTROL_PROJECT_LOCK with selection for Deactivate the "project lock functionality".
    2) Filled the "Deactivate Project Lock" field with "X" then clicked EXECUTE.
    Problem got Solved.
    Thanks

  • Boot Manager error message on Windows 7 Toshiba Laptop

Well, I will start with what happened to it, though I don't really know. I was on the internet and it started freezing up horribly, then I didn't know what to do so I walked into the room of the house that doesn't get wireless, and gradually it unfroze. Then I went back to the other room got on again, then it just froze again, only this time walking into the next room didn't work, so I pressed the power button and shut it down. Then when I turned it back on I chose "Start Windows Normally"  and I entered my password at the login screen, then it was on the screen that says "Welcome" and has the blue loading bar next to it, but I waited for at least 10 minutes and it still hadn't loaded. So, I try safe mode and all I get is a black screen with a mouse cursor, in all safe modes. Well, I decide to go to setup by pressing F2 at the Toshiba screen when you first turn it on. So, I did that and I restored the default settings, then exiting saving the settings, and then I turned it on, expecting it to work or at least have the Welcome thing. It went through the Toshiba screen, then it had a black screen for while , then I got an error message:
    WINDOWS BOOT MANAGER
Windows has encountered a problem communicating with a device connected to your computer.
This error can be caused by unplugging a removable storage device such as an external USB drive while the device is in use, or by faulty hardware such as a hard drive or CD-ROM drive that is failing. Make sure any removable storage is properly connected and then restart your computer.
If you continue to recieve this error message, contact the hardware manufacturer.
    File: \Boot\BCD
    Status: 0xc00000e9
Info: An unexpected I/O error has occurred.
So then what I did was I plugged in the charger, the mouse ( like on a desktop computer, only I stick this in my laptops usb thing) , my ipod, I put in the last cd I had in the disk drive, and I connected my computer to the modem from the other computer that I sometimes get on.  It didn't do anything, it still gave me that message.
I would appreciate some help. I just got this computer in December 2009 for Christmas, and I have taken good care of it as far as I can tell. I really can't afford to replace anything right now, but if I have to I will find a way. What makes it worse is that I just got a new video game sent from my grandmother for my birthday....
    Thank you for your help/thoughts/crap

it looks like a corrupted windows 7 OS or hdd issue , but you might try this one
Remove all usb devices and make sure that only ac adapter is plugged in your computer.
Turn on your computer and start tapping on F8. You should see windows advanced option when you do this.
Select on Safe Mode then Enter. If you can boot to safe mode you can try doing a system restore.
    OR
On windows advance option. Select Repair my computer
Just follow the prompt and select system restore.
    OR
On windows advance option. Select Repair my computer
Just follow the prompt and Windows Startup Repair

  • Records Manager error message

    Hi there,
We just recently upgraded to Records Manager from TRIM version 7.1 and we have been having some issues that I am hoping someone can give me advice on.
My collegue keeps getting an error message saying "The requested operation cannot be performed on a file with a user-mapped section open (#800704c8). She is currently working on a PowerPoint file that has never been saved in Records Manager. She is copying and pasting information from another PowerPoint presentation (also not saved in Records Manager) into this new one. Everytime she copies something to a new slide and hits save this message appears. Hitting 'OK' makes it disappear for a minute then it reappears again.
Has anyone ever had a similar issue? I'm sort of stumped since neither of the documents she is working on have any links to Records Manager at all.
    Any suggestions are appreciated
    Thanks!
    Sarah

  • "Product you are trying to install is not genuine" - Adobe Application Manager error message.

Trying to launch the AAM and getting the error message that says "Adobe Genuine Software Validation Failure. The product you are trying to install is not an Adobe Genuine Software and appears to be counterfeit".
I've been subscribed to the creative cloud for four months, never had any trouble before, I'm not trying to download anything and nothing on this computer is counterfeit.
    Any help?

    Hello,
This behavior is due to a known issue (details at http://blogs.adobe.com/psirt/2012/09/security-advisory-adobe-to-revoke-code-signing-certif icate-apsa12-01-2.html). Fortunately, the solution is simple.
You need to download the latest version of Adobe Application Manager from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773. After you install it, the error will go away.

Please disable the HTTPS Everywhere addon. This dll file is from Firefox 4. If you would like to do a clean reinstall it may help.
Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a ''Clean reinstall''. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
'''Note:''' You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
#Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
#After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
#Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
    #*'''Windows:'''
    #**C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
    #**C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
#*'''Mac:''' Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
#*'''Linux:''' If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see [[Installing Firefox on Linux]]. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the [http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop Firefox download page], simply remove the folder ''firefox'' in your home directory.
#Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
##Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
##Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
More information about reinstalling Firefox can be found [[Troubleshoot and diagnose Firefox problems#w_5-reinstall-firefox|here]].
<b>WARNING:</b> Do not run Firefox's uninstaller or use a third party remover as part of this process, because that could permanently delete your Firefox data, including but not limited to, extensions, cache, cookies, bookmarks, personal settings and saved passwords. <u>These cannot be easily recovered unless they have been backed up to an external device!</u>
Please report back to say if this helped you!
