Vista + X-Fi Xtrememusic - No EAX support in gam

Hey,?Got a Xtrememusic with latest drivers for Vista x86. Everything works great in Windows but in games I am unable to choose EAX support (no hardware support error message). Tried this in various games, same results. Works great in XP but not in Vista. Is this simply a matter of the drivers not supporting EAX in games for the moment, or is it just my system?

I just bought an X-FI Elite pro yesterday. I am running logitech z-5500's using an optical connection into the I/O console. I have noticed that in every game I have it either will not let me enable EAX or it says that there is no EAX support detected when I try to enable it. Also I get an error message stating that the creative console can not load because it was not supported in the current mode or not installed properly. Well I have tried every mode and I get the same message. I am using the latest drivers supplied via the Creative website. The basic one opens but yes I am talking about the fancy one and the reason being also applies to another comment -- I read that my x-fi does have a decoder built in but so does my logitech z-5500 reciever and they may conflict. It advised me to disable the onboard decoder if i have a problem and to do that I need access to one of the fancy control panels according to the user guide. Do you mean you are unable to install or sync Apps to your iPod? Are you using at least iOS version 2.0 or later?

I am having issues with tech support for King Games!   Why can't they support their game?

I have been having issues with Bubble Witch saga for over a week! Mather continue to give me the run around. Finally today, they have admitted that they are too busy with their other games to offer support! They ask me to continue to be patient ! Lol. Please, see below.     What is one to do when these app companies are not able to support their apps? Does Apple think this is good?

Thanks! I just think that Apple would have concern with App companies who are being offered through Apple! This may seem as though it isn't Apples issue but, in truth it is, to the extent that it looks bad on Apple. Apple, should expect companies that use their App Store to provide support for their product or not allow these companies to have apps in the Apple store! Believe it or not..... This is a reflection!
But, don't worry, I am trying to get them to support the game. At the very least my review will not be good and eventually I will stop playing as others have done!!!

I would like to know what eax version is supported by this product,if it's the 3.0 or 4.0?
Are the eax effects hardware accelerated as in the audigy 2 zs for notebook or software as in the audigy 2 nx?

Hi there! Thanks for the reply, unfortunately, I've tried VidCap and it wont let me capture either. The Start button on Step 3 isn't acti've. Its not bold, and when i click on it nothing happens. But under device manager and Sound, Video and game controllers, there are alot of things. They are as followed: Audio Codecs, Legacy Audio Drivers, Legacy Video Capture Drivers, Media Control Devices, Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor Audio Device, Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor Video Device, SoundMAX Intergrated Digital Audio, Video Codecs. Do you think any of these could be interfering with one another? If so, which ones can be safely disabled? I've also tried downloading all the necessary updates for VidCap and I've even tried reinstalling the Audigy card many times. I am able to see the preview of the video on both programs VidCap and VideoStudio but I just can't capture. Once again, the error message on VideoStudio is: 5065:29:0. Thank you so much, hopefully I hear from ya soon and this can be fixed.

I looked at the support and driver page for the 14t-1000, and that model is 5 years old according to the release dates of drivers listed there. Ar you sure that is the model number? Can you please post the product number for the PC? The product number can be found on the same sticker as the serial number. You can also post the top line of each hardware ID's for each device needing drivers. I'll see what I can find. The driver directly from Realtek should install the card reader (PCI Device). Can i load windows vista even if boot camp only supports windows 7?

Can i still load windows vista, even if boot camp now only seems now to support windows 7? I had loaded it previously same mac same windows vista but took it off becuase of a hardware issue. now when i want to use it again (playing games mostly) i can load vista but all sotes of things are not working internet connection and graphics and the driver disk that is made through bootcamp says noy that in order to use it i need to be running windows 7 .

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
On OS X Mountain Lion, Boot Camp only supports Windows 7, so you can't install Windows Vista or XP, and if you install Windows Vista or XP, you won't be able to install Boot Camp drivers because they aren't supported under XP and Vista.
If your Mac came with DVDs, insert the Mac OS X DVD (or the Snow Leopard DVD) that came with the computer and install Boot Camp drivers. If your Mac didn't come with DVDs, you can't get Boot Camp drivers for Vista

X-Fi XtremeMusic Adding EAX to MI

Hello, I have not used a Creative Labs since the Li've! Value, But I recently bought an X-Fi and asside from some crashes or dislike of software interface I enjoy it.
However, I've always had a small dabble in MIDI and mostly have a backlog of favorites from the past. Some MIDIS by default are very dull sounding like they are playing in a sound-padded room. Well with Li've! I could easy choose to apply some Reverb and/or Chorus to the MIDIs and they sounded better.
With X-Fi, I can't seem to find anything like this. I used Entertainment mode, and the EAX tab has the option to turn on EAX and I choose one of the few presets and they effect my .WAV files but when I play a MIDI I still get no extra reverb and they still sound very flat.
I've tried looking into the creation mode but I'll be completely honest this mode confuses the heck out of me and usually after fidgeting with different things I just end up resetting the default settings.

I am/was considering returning this X-Fi for an Audigy. I'm not a audiophile or sound buff, heck I have a fairly cheap set of 5. surround from Logitech but I do like what it can do with sound quality for video/DVD playback. The MIDI thing is really just a pet peeve, one of those "the older ones can do it why can't this one?" type of situation I suppose. I also get messed up with the fact that all audio settings are saved via the "mode" X-fi is in, ie if I have the volumes way down in Game mode and forget thats on and switch to Entertainment mode the sound is blasted way up. I also use the X-fi as an line-in for the audio on my Playstation 2 and it allows the Crystalizer and CSS-Surround for what would otherwise be flat stereo which is cool.
So I guess I'm still on the fence; I like the audio enhancements in X-fi however buggy some of it may be yet, I also want to load big sound fonts and add layers of effects to enhance playback of older MIDIs I and friends created.

X-Fi XtremeMusic and EAX effe

Just got a Dell computer with an X-Fi card in it. My old Soundblaster X-Gamer had a control panel app that let me choose various EAX effects like reverb and some weird stuff to make my voice sound funny.
The only soundcard-related software on my new system is the "Creative Audio Console", which doesn't seem to let me choose EAX effects.
Am I missing some software? I checked the download section for my card, but all I see are various "Creative MediaSource" ap

Or am I looking in the wrong place?

Ahh, now that could be. The driver dl at CL site only includes the basic stuff, not all the "goodies". Without an install CD you won't get a bunch of apps n such. Still seems like Dolby and such should be showing in AC even from just the basic driver pack. Did you also install the AC update you can dl? Definitly contact Dell for replacement CD anyway. You still may want to ask Dell just how different their card is from a retail card tho to make sure. I know things like Dolby require license fee's and my concern was that perhaps, so Dell gets a lower cost for the card, they choose to not have CL add that feature on the OEM board. If thats the case it really sux & I'd be yelling a bit I think.

I need to set vista back to original. When I enter 0 at start up and select Toshiba Recovery the program expects a recovery CD's. I thought the system could be recovered from the recovery partition. What procedures do i need to follow to set the system back to original and start over?

According to MSI's spec sheet, that appears to be correct. But... Since there aren't any processors (that I know of ) on the market that can utilize that HT speed yet, we'll just have to take MSI's word for it.
I'd be leary of trying to OC your HT bus, the downside is huge and the gains are negligible. The current HT data bus capacity is much greater than the data output any of the devices you have.
Here's the current HyperTransport 3.0 specs:
* 1,800 MHz = 3,600 MT/s = 7,200 MB/s
* 2,000 MHz = 4,000 MT/s = 8,000 MB/s
* 2,400 MHz = 4,800 MT/s = 9,600 MB/s
* 2,600 MHz = 5,200 MT/s = 10,400 MB/s
Note that your Kuma processor uses a Stock HT speed of 1800 MHZ. 7200 MB/s = 7.2 GB/s.
A Sata II VelociRaptor harddrive only has a capacity of delivering 3GB/s in theory.
FireWire 1600 and FireWire 3200 will have transfer rates of 1.6 and 3.2 GB/s and should out this year sometime.
USB 3.0 will be coming online in 2009 or 2010 and will have a transfer rate of 4.8GB/s.
All of these specs are the highest possible speeds, under the best laboratory conditions.
In real life, you'll never get those kinds of transfer rates.
Even if you did OC your HT bus substantially, you wouldn't see any benefits because you already have more bandwidth than your devices can utilize.
How do you like your mobo so far? I just ordered one last night, hope to see it Saturday or Monday.

EAX issues in games with Audigy SE, one way or the ot

Hello everyone. I hope I'm asking for help in the correct forum. If not, please forgive my noobishness. =)?I don't know what's wrong, but EAX in Bioshock has terrible issues. I have XPx64 SP2, Audigy SE and when my corvette was new, I obtained SoundBlaster drivers specifically for x64 from April 06. But these were terrible. In many games (f.e. FEAR) the sound was terribly distorted after a while with unbearable loud mechanic buzzing. I had a serious issue in Oblivion as it was rebooting my computer when I was loading a game and it took me a while until I realized that the x64 drivers are causing it. I got rid of them and installed reference drivers I bought on CD with the card and everything was fine. Now Bioshock came out. Overall the EAX works good in it, but I have some serious crackling. I tried to lower the sound channels/streams values in INI, but it didn't remove crackling. So I though I would update drivers again. Indeed, Creative has released unified drivers for XP and Vista last July. I installed them, launched Bioshock with EAX ON, loaded a game and ... AARGH, my ears! The sound was like zapping loudly and rapidly, a real acoustic horror. This means I have serious EAX issues with all newer drivers than the reference ones on CD, but even with the new ones I have crackling in Bioshock anyway, with addition of the audio distortion. I have tried to turn off EAX and use CMMS3D instead, with Reverb which doesn't seem to cause any problems in BS. The sound was deep and rich, except that the crackling and stuttering is still there!?No flawless sound for me. Is my Soundblaster physically borked or something... =(?

Well, I know that with SE, EAX processing is left for the CPU. You think this would be the source of problem?
I have no option to select from software or hardware mode in games' audio menu, devs normally don't do add that option to audio menus (at least I never seen it in any game yet). In games I can normally only select whether I want EAX or not, or just like in case of BioShock, whether I want to turn Reverb on or off, and it would be left for the drivers to call the CPU to process EAX.Message Edited by RogueKeeper on 0-6-200707:5 AM

Vista 64 unable to install xi fi extreme gamer correctly

I am running Vista 64 and no matter how many time I have tried, each time I install my xi fi using the most up to date drivers, also tried the beta drivers, the card will not work. The driver is listed as a conflict in device manager, and is not listed as a play back device in the sound control panel. My MB has onboard sound which I disabled in the bios, the only other sound device listed devices in my usb head phones which thankfully do work so I can atleast use those in the mean time. I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times and in safe mode to no avail. Any help someone could give would be appreciated.

i7 920 cpu running at 3.6 ghz
6 gigs ddr3 corsair xms
300 gb velociraptor HD
EVGA 280 gtx vid card
and of course the Xi Fi extreme gamer...

I tired that, only 2 slots avail on my evga x58 board. I removed all drivers but uninstalling in programs, device manager and using driver sweeper. Updated all my motherboard drivers and bios. anything else I could think of or what was listed on creatives support page.
I finally got it working earlier today. I removed everything yet again, swapped PCI slots again. Installed drivers in safe mode and it recognized the card without conflicts. At that time it would only read digital outputs as a playback option for some reason. It wouldnt see my speakers. Tried everything over again to the same effect... finally just for lack of better options, I re installed the drivers again without uninstalling them and bam... it works... has been working since through games, restarts and OS updates. Thanks for the reply though.

After many attempts I finally got the Eclipse dragon, however it is just disapeared from my park!
it was in the Epic Breeding island and when the incubation period finished, it did not go to the nursery...instead disapeared!
