deleted everything under HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\SYSTEM (folders 0000 to 0004)

Lately I have been getting a rectangular screen titled Login Setting, with my Username and Password and asking me to Login. This screen shows up on opening the computer and has never been seen before the last month or so. I seemed to have missed the whole ordeal of keeping my 10.4.11 os x powerpc up to date. Are these suggestions still viable as I have been getting all sorts of console errors which now seem to lead me to this researched destination? The suggestions involve putting "sudo" in Terminal Application and I am assuming that with all the console errors now being generated by my "permissions fixer" that this might be the reason...missed the class and updates as I never had problems like these before and the technology is changing. Have a whole list of console errors if someone is willing to help as I also think I have hit the motherload as to the reasons why?!

Have been taking photos with my Ipad and sending them to email address and FB. For some reason it will now send photos to FB but not my email address. What could be the problem?
Does your email provider have a limit on the total file size allowed on their server? It could be that emails with photos send in the past are still on your email server. They might even be in the servers trash folder. If the total MB of those emails exceeds the amount allowed then no additional emails can be received. Try using a web mail page to check and edit what's on the email server.

I want Firefox to save my passwords as it has in the past, but now it is not doing so. I am using version 6.0.2, I see the pop up asking to remember the password, but firefox does not save the passwords. What can I do to correct this so FF starts saving my passwords?
Firefox 4 and later versions place a key icon on the location bar that allows to (re)open the dialog to save the password at any time.<br />
That pop-up dialog has a button labeled with "Remember Password".<br />

I am trying to run a stand alone application on a PC which does not have Lab View installed. I created the executable file and the installer. However, when I run the .exe the VISA functions contained in the VI return error messages and the power supply I am trying to control does not respond. The stand alone application will run on a PC that has Lab View installed.
My application initially used a VISA resource control to selct the instrument GPIB address on the PC I used to create the application. Since the PC I am trying to run the .exe on has an older version of NI-MAX I cannot create aliases that the VISA control can interpret.I have tried to upgrade NI-MAX hoping that would solve my problem:

uninstall NI-488 and NI-MAX ( if you want to uninstall MAX you must uninstall NI-488 ) reinstall NI-488 and NI-MAX Ver 3.1 then try to install NI-MAX version 4.1 which I downloaded from NI website. When I do this I get an error message when I try to run MAX. None of this worked so I hard coded the instrument address as a constant and again that works on the PC with LV installed but does not on the PC without LV.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.It looks like you do have the LabVIEW runtime engine installed. It might be that the VISA drivers you have are not compatible versions. In NIMAX, look under software to see what versions of VISA software you have installed on both systems.
It does not matter what version of NI MAX you have installed, since your application does not use NI MAX. NI MAX only helps you look at (or simulate) the hardware and software you have on your system.
One thing you could do is include drivers and the runtime engine while creating your installer. That way, you should be able to do a complete install on a clean system.

I keep getting on my e-mail a no sender with a date of 1969, wipes out my e-mails temporarily but doesn't happen on my PC?
Try turning the account off and on : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , then tap the account on the right, slide Mail to 'off', exit settings and go back into the Mail app, and then go back to Settings and slide Mail back to 'on'
If that doesn't work then try closing the Mail app via the iPad’s multitasking bar (I'm assuming that your iPad is on iOS 7) : double-click the home button to open the taskbar and then swipe or drag the Mail app's 'screen' up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
And do a soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -

Lately I have been getting many too many popups while browsing how to prevent?
I typically visit newspaper sites, Yahoo, TWC and others, I am bombarded with pop-up ads top, bottom and both sides of the screen. Sometimes they block the information. Many do not have "X" in the corners and often they jump to their site if I click by mistake.
This is a fairly recent issue maybe a month old but seems to be getting worse or my patience is wearing!
Any insight would be appreciated.Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of (What is? LyricXeeker).

My web page uses a Java Applet to allow my visitors to replay chess games; the Chess Viewer Deluxe applet was written by Nikolai Pilafov some time ago and has been working properly for some time (until recently). I don't monitor this part of my site regularly so I am not sure when it began to fail. On his web site [http://chesstuff.blogspot.com/2008/11/chess-viewer-deluxe.html] he has a link to check LiveConnect object functionality (which fails for OBJECT tags). His recommendation is to "seek platform specific support which might be available from the JRE developers for your platform".
I have been getting java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: ZeroApplet.class and java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: JavaToJS.class crashes with JRE version 1.6.0_26-b03-384-10M3425 VM executing a Java Applet. Until I checked the LiveConnect object functionality, I was unable to identify the source of the console error messages. This does seem to be the smoking gun.

Could be a hardware failure.
Restore the iPhone, first from a backup, then as new, and see if the issue persists. If it persists when you restore as new, then there's a hardware issue with your phone and you need to bring it to an Apple store to be evaluated.

Just downloaded iTunes to new dell laptop, tried syncing my iPhone get an error message: "this iPhone cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started". What is the issue, had this phone over a year??
I had this problem before. I like to disable extra services to speed up my computer and I disabled the Apple Mobile Device service and had to re-enable this.
You can do that by going Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services. Once you have gone to the services window, look for Apple Mobile Device and right-click. Select "Properties". There should be some information about the service as well as the label "Startup Type" with a drop-down menu beside it. If it says "disabled", that is your problem; Change the selection to anything except disabled (Automatic is easier and ensures that you can sync as soon as itunes opens).
If this doesn't work, I would look into your anti-virus' settings. Good Luck! -
I have an iMac 5.1 with Mac OSX 10.6.8 and 2 GB memory and an L2 cache of 4 GB. lately I have been receiving error messages of " start up disk almost full; please delete files." is the start up disk the same thing as the hard drive? I opened the hard drive and from the column on the left of the menu I've selected "search for" and under that " all images" then "all documents" I've deleted a few files from each. Are documents and images that I have deleted from here also deleted from the folders on my desktop?
You should never, EVER let a conputer hard drive get completely full, EVER!
With Macs and OS X, you shouldn't let the hard drive get below 15 GBs or less of free data space.
If it does, it's time for some hard drive housecleaning.
Follow some of my tips for cleaning out, deleting and archiving data from your Mac's internal hard drive.
Have you emptied your iMac's Trash icon in the Dock?
If you use iPhoto, iPhoto has its own trash that needs to be emptied, also.
If you store images in other locations other than iPhoto, then you will have to weed through these to determine what to archive and what to delete.
If you use Apple Mail app, Apple Mail also has its own trash area that needs to be emptied, too!
Delete any old or no longer needed emails and/or archive to disc, flash drives or external hard drive, older emails you want to save.
Delete any other mail in your Junk folders. Also, look through your Sent Mail to see if there is anything that can be deleted.
Other things you can do to gain space.
Once you have around 15 GBs regained, do a search, download and install OmniDisk Sweeper.
This app will help you locate files that you can move/archive and/or delete from your system.
STAY AWAY FROM DELETING ANY FILES FROM OS X SYSTEM FOLDER!
Look through your Documents folder and delete any type of old useless type files like "Read Me" type files.
Again, archive to disc, flash drives, ext. hard drives or delete any old documents you no longer use or immediately need.
Look in your Applications folder, if you have applications you haven't used in a long time, if the app doesn't have a dedicated uninstaller, then you can simply drag it into the OS X Trash icon. IF the application has an uninstaller app, then use it to completely delete the app from your Mac.
Download an app called OnyX for your version of OS X.
When you install and launch it, let it do its initial automatic tests, then go to the cleaning and maintenance tabs and run the maintenance tabs that let OnyX clean out all web browser cache files, web browser histories, system cache files, delete old error log files.
Typically, iTunes and iPhoto libraries are the biggest users of HD space.
move these files/data off of your internal drive to the external hard drive and deleted off of the internal hard drive.
If you have any other large folders of personal data or projects, these should be archived or moved, also, to the optical discs, flash drives or external hard drive and then either archived to disc and/or deleted off your internal hard drive.
