Visual administrator use remotely

Dear Experts,
How I can connect visual administrator and config tool through remote pc with using terminal server .Is there any separate utility available ?
one more question - I want use user administration through UME brower but when I am creating any user it is giving error "user can not create" . As per the ADM 200 I have to add SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION role to the user SAPJSF through GUI, I have added this role to the user but it is stuck at user comparison , giving error "role is locked by sap* user" .
pl. help , Is there any other process ? or where i am wrong .
regards
sonal.

Hai,
You can use Xmanager 3 which will help you in connecting to Visual admin and Config tool.
You can download the Evaluation version from any site and after 30 days you can use the Xmanager -Passive option life long.
Process to connect to Visual admin/Config tool from remote PC:
Start Xmanager you will get 'X' icon in the system tray, then start your session and run the 'go' script from your OS level. Speed will be a bit on the lower side, since you are exporting the DISPLAY from your remote server.
The role SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION has been locked by user SAP, ie,. somebody has been working with SAP user and editing or displaying the above said role. Due to this you are not able to compare the role.
Edit role SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION in PFCG.
1. Click authorization tab.
2. Click Change Authorization Data Button.
3. Expand all trees.
4. Asign full authorization at all authorization object.
After this try to create Users in UME.

  • Error in logging using "Default" account to access visual administrator

    Dear experts,
    i had encountered the following error message when i tried to login to Visual Administrator using go.bat using default.
    Unable to look up connection Default
    http://L31021:8108/msgserver/text/logon returned empty list of connection parameters
    and when i tried using another account and direct connect to a dispatcher node, they say error while connecting.
    please give me advice on how to solve the problem.
    thank you for the attention given and time.
    with thanks,
    kejun

    Hello Tan,
    The error from the first type of connection indicates that the message server list of registered nodes was empty. The list is empty when the server and the dispatcher nodes are not running or using different message server.
    First check in the dev_server0 and dev_dispatcher files in the work directory that they are connection to the same message server. Then in std_server0.out and std_dispatcher.out try to find why the server and the dispatcher nodes didnu2019t register in the message server. Also check the default trace files of both nodes.

  • Remote MBeans in Visual Administrator

    Is it possible to register an MBean remotely, and have it accessible via the Visual Administrator?   (and shouldn't I see the bean using the monitoring service whether I extend BroadcastingStandardMBeanWrapper or not?)
    I've been through 3 or 4 iterations now, but here's a snippet of what I'm looking at currently.
    MBeanServerConnection mbsc = m.connect();
    String pathInTheTree = "/Applications/Remote JMX";
    /* Create the Hello World MBean */
    Hello mbean = new Hello();
    ObjectName cl = ObjectNameFactory.getNameForClassLoader("sap.com/myclassloader", null, null);
    Properties p = new Properties();
    p.setProperty("admin.path", "/Cluster/MyMBean");
    p.setProperty("admin.displayName", "MyMBean");
    BroadcastingStandardMBeanWrapper wrapper = new BroadcastingStandardMBeanWrapper(mbean, null, p);
    ObjectName name = ObjectNameFactory.getNameForServerChildPerNode(ObjectName.quote(pathInTheTree), wrapper.getClass().getName(), null, null);
    if (mbsc.isRegistered(name)) {
        mbsc.unregisterMBean(name);
    mbsc.createMBean(wrapper.getClass().getName(), name, cl);

    This seems to be due to the absence of a no-arg contructor (which is not required by the spec, IIUC), so I hacked around that by wrapping the wrapper (aack) and delegating method invocations appropriately...  This runs normally, but I still don't see my MBeans in the visual admin console.
    Thoughts, anyone?
    TIA,
    Bill

    Figured it out myself.  Was using the wrong MBeanServerConnection.createMBean method - the one that tries to instantiate the mbean with a no-arg constructor.  <:-|
    Should have been:
    Hello mbean = new Hello();
    Object[] params = new Object[] { mbean, HelloMBean.class, p };
    String[] sig = new String[] { "java.lang.Object", "java.lang.Class", "java.util.Properties" };
    mbsc.createMBean(wrapperClass, objectName, classloaderName, params, sig);

  • Using certificates to log into Visual Administrator?

    We have been asked to use certificates / SSL to log into the Visual Administrator as opposed to entering our usernames and passwords. Is this possible with the Visual Administrator and if so, are there any configuration guides, setup instructions or pointers to how to accomplish this? Has anyone else dones this type of configuration?
    Any help would be gratly appreciated.
    Thank-you,
    Deb Nugent.

    I am closing this question. Through another thread (SSO to the Visual Administrator itself) and additional information, I have been told that this is not possible within the Visual Administrator.
    While this is not the response I had hoped for, I am considering this question answered.

    Hi Brahmachaitanya ,
    You can do a lookup like this:

    Connection connection = datasource.getConnection();

  • SPNego error in visual administrator

    Hi,
    I have configured SPNego for our portal running on AIX along with Microsoft ADS as the KDC.
    The portal UME has been configured for the ADS. As a result I am able to login to the portal through browser using a ujser-ID/pwd in the Microsoft ADS.
    But I face problem when I try accessing the portal with visual administrator. the error message I get in VA is 'Error in SPNegoLoginModule'. The long text of error message from default trace is given at the bottom of this message.
    Also, I must confess, that first I had configured the login modules stack in portal with the fallback mechanism; and at that time I was able to access the visual administrator in the portal, but then I changed the login module stack configuration to the one without 'fallback' and since then I have not been able to access the visual administrator.
    The resolution mode I have selected is 'none'.
    Any help that you could provide with resolution will be highly appreciated and rightly rewarded.
    Regards,
    Aniket
