I couldn't reproduce either of these problems. For the first problem, this may be because of a known problem on Windows 9X. Some first chance exceptions (access violations) are generated in gdi32.dll when using some features of our ActiveX controls. This is actually a mishandling of the GDI error reporting in Win 9X and happens with most ActiveX controls. The good news is, it doesn't effect the performance of the control since it is just a bad error report in debug mode. However, those exceptions usually appear in gdi32.dll not GDI.exe so I'm not sure it is the same.
As for the second problem, I couldn't reproduce it. I put this line in a project and had no problems building.

Thank you for details of the issue you are experiencing with duplicates in Contacts after upgrading to OS X Mavericks. I would be frustrated by this too.

If you use a "shared" iOS device( used sequentially by multiple users) you are best to set it up with no email or personal info and a generic iTunes account(unique to the device, but set up by the company), used to install apps. etc. Like Toaster said, the situation you are in is not pretty. Your personal information is open to compromise. You need to tell your company this is a breach of your privacy. It just isn't worth your peace of mind to go forward in this situation.

There is no self calibration function for the DMM because it is a extremely precise device (24 bits of resolution). So in order to calibrate the 4060 will have to use an extremely precise external voltage source. Only Calibrators instruments can source this kind of voltage. If you want to calibrate your DMM you have two options:
1 - Send the board back to NI once a year
2 - Use the Calibration Executive to perform in-house high precision calibration.

IPad won't open iBooks - error message that book isn't formatted correctly, iPad is fully updated and I've tried deleting and reloading iBooks - only thing that has happened between when it used to work and now doesn't is that I took the iPad to singapore

iPad used to open iBooks purchased off iTunes no problems but since I took my iPad overseas on holiday it no longer opens iBooks - they appear to download ok but when I tap to open the book I get an error message saying the book isn't formatted correctly or is in a format that iBooks doesn't recognise. I have tried
- deleting and reloading iBooks
- making all updates have been done
- turning on and off airplane mode
And still have the problems

Ok, I got the 1.3/1.4 thing straight now. There was a java.exe in System32 that I now see the PATH was calling first.
And in the TextPad version of the problem, I was curious -- I don't remember setting the specification of the executable called by the Run Tool button, but I must have at some point. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it and it created a default button that apparently points to what it's supposed to point to, since it now works and runs my program OK.
Still, I wonder how it can be that explicitly directing the button to C:\j2sdk1.4.0\bin\java.exe makes TextPad's Command Results Window say "NoClassDefFoundError"

Due to security vulnerabilities, rolling back to Firefox 4.0.1 is not recommended.
If Firefox disabled some add-ons (especially extensions), it likely is because they include a list of compatible Firefox versions and haven't yet been updated for Firefox 5. If they worked on Firefox 4, there is a good chance they will actually work on Firefox 5.
You can force Firefox to ''ignore'' add-on version restrictions by (what else) installing an add-on. Then you can test whether the add-ons important to you actually work in Firefox 5.

My browsers keep freezing up until I have to forcequit. Firefox freezes at start-up and safari works for a bit but usually freezes when opening tabs. When I try to submit a crash report in either case, it always tells me "submission failed".

This started yesterday night. I tried to restore firefox to yesterday morning's time machine version, but no dice. No idea what's causing it, I haven't installed anything.
The refusing to submit my crash reports really confuses. I don't know if it's applicable to everything or just browsers - browsers are the only thing that have crashed.
