Visual Composer Issue?

Hi Gurus,
I have a dropdown box called reason in my VC iview which suppose to list me the list of reasons which will be fetched from SAP R/3.
When I click that particular dropdown box its showing the error message says that "Failed to connect to the backend system.Check your system definition and user priviliges.
If anybody knows the root cause of the problem pls let me know....

Do a 'Test Connection' for the system you have created to connect to the R3. Was the test connection successful?

Flex Table Add Row Issue with Dynamic Entry Lists in Visual Composer

All,
Your help would be kindly appreciated in resolving an 'Add Row'-issue within a Flex Table that uses Dynamic Entry Lists in Visual Composer. The issue here is as follows :
When I use a [Local Dynamic Entry List |http://www.postyourimage.com/view_image.php?img_id=O5hrG2aMxWZ84Mu1211193041]to populate a row field, the initial row and all next rows are emptied upon 'insert row', they loose their selected values and also the entry list values ('pull-down menus') are lost. The initial row does [show the entry list values |http://www.postyourimage.com/view_image.php?img_id=2HybmEHAuQYs9cg1211192766]from the Local Dynamic Entry List based on the dynamically assigned input value; upon 'insert row' the entry lists are lost. When using a [Global Dynamic Entry List |http://www.postyourimage.com/view_image.php?img_id=m5p2KYuBb442dTq1211193501]to populate the row fields the Flex-table behaves normally as expected. Unfortunately with a Global Entry List it is not possible to dynamically assign a input value. Hi,
you should be able to assign a dynamic value with global entry lists as well. If you say @myParam as dynamic value. VC will indicate in red letters, that the field @myParam is unknown. However, it will work, as long as @myParam is known in the form or table where you use the entry list.
I have never heard of the problem that entry lists are emptied after "insert"-event.

Issue in populating dropdowns in Visual Composer

Hello Experts,
I am currently trying to push application development using Visual Composer 7.0. Came across certain issues which we were unable to resolve:
1) We have an RFC which gives 10 return tables. We need to fill the data from these tables into respective drop down fields in a form. Now im unable to bind the table to a drop down directly, so is there a way to do it using some operator etc. because if we try to populate each drop down field seperately as many number of RFC calls are made which slows down my application drastically.
2) Other issue is pertaining to concentric drop downs. I need to create drop down fields in my application which interdependent, for example if i select a country lets say India then in my City drop down only indian cities should appear. The RFC is providing the foriegn key relationship in the output.
Please help as these issues are causing bottleneck in application development.

Security issue in Visual composer

Dear all,
I created several queries using BEx query designer and I use those queries in a dashboard which is created by using visual composer. it is working fine until I added authorization using authorization analysis in those queries. I use Transaction code: RSECADMIN to test each query using a test account and I don't get any error from the log and the data display correctly.
However, when I run the visual composer using the test account, I am getting a popup message: Application error: "An error returned form the back-end system: Nested Exception. Failure to execute native function. Nested Exception. NO_AUTHORITY"
However, If I click on the error message OK button, the message go away and the data can still display correctly from the screen from each query so I should not have authorization issue and should not get the message since I can display all the data. How can I find out what authorization issue the dashboard (visual composer) is talking about? Thanks.

Issue in setting up Visual Composer in Composition Environment

Does anybody configured Visual Composer in Composition Environment?
I am able to install Composition Environment. I am trying to do some post installation steps given in the help document to work on Visual Composer.
As per the document we need configure SDIC service in nwa. I couldn't the respective service in the specified given in the help document.
Could anybody help me on this?

By looking at the help document given in the CE, I thought we can connect to the existing Portal Server by doing some post configuration setups.

How to use ENQUE and DEQUE BAPI in Visual Composer

Hi All,
We are planning to update employee Address through Portal for that one we did one BAPI which supports ADDRESS Change of an employye, through Visual Composer we developed the application and we integrated into SAP Portal but we are not able to update our records, then we found BAPI_EMPLOYEE_ENQUE and BAPI_EMPLOYEE_DEQUE, but we don't know how to use thease BAPI's in Visual Composer i mean how to make connection between out input form and thease BAPI''s and our custom BAPI's.
If any one having this experience please let me know.

Nice to see your reply, we got this error in R/3 it self, when we are trying to excuting SAP Standard BAPI we are getting this error "Employee/applicant is not locked yet". I think this is bug from SAP itself, do you have any idea about this one? is there any settings we need to do in R/3 for resolving this one or else is there any data we need to maintaine for our Employee Records.
Please resolve my issue.

Unable to create visual composer table view from the Bex Query

Hi
I am trying to create the visual composer lay out from a Bex query. The Bex query contains a set of Key figures and a structure.
These key figure and structure combination is forming a table in the query output. Key figure parameters are coming as rows and Structure parameters are coming as columns.
example query out put:
Total, HPC, FDS excel ICe etc are as Structure elements and coming as columns in query out put and
Invoice value, Gross sale value, Efficient operations etc are as Key figure elements in query and coming as rows in query out put.
But if I map this query to visual composer table view all these are coming as columns as given below.
Total Invoice value , Total Gross sale value, Total Efficient operations, HPC Invoice vale,.........
And if execute the query will giving the out put in single row.
Can anybody help me out to map this in the row column format?
Is it really possible to do in VC?
I am using CE 7.2. The VC model I need to be embedding in BPM.
Please help me to solve this issue. I completely stuck up this issue.

Hi,
Try to use some function module which will convert query data into flat tables. (eg., RS_VC_GET_QUERY_VIEW_DATA_FLAT).

Visual Composer 7.0 and LoadRunner VueGen

Has anyone been able to make Visual Composer 7.0 work with Vuegen (v8.1 FP3)? Running on NW04s SPS10 J2EE and Portal. The model is rather simple it executes an ABAP BAPI and returns Exchange rate data. Works great in the browser with no issue.
VueGen receives the data (seen in the playback), but then has a fatal issue, with message = Fatal Communications error, cannot retrieve the data. The https is definitely working Ethereal proves that. VueGen always works a little differently than the IE6 browser based on Ethereal (that's a mystery).
Anyway, I am guessing that the Web-HTML and Web-SAP Protocols simply cannot handle the Flash bytecode that is streamed back to the Vuegen process. It must be trying to do something with it, and failing.
Any ideas or success stories with Visual Composer 7 / Flash (not WebDynPro), and Vuegen would be greatly appreciated? And if you are about to try it , good luck.

From what I understand you are talking about recording Flex applications and not VC design time, right?
If so, I do remember having some problem with VUGen. I think that what helped me was using the option of using the old recording engine. This can be set in VUGen-> Recording Options->Advances->Recording Engine.
Also, I don't think you need the SAP-WEB, just use the Regular Web-HTTP.
After you record should see web_custom_request going to "com.sap.visualcomposer.vcbroker". I would put some web_reg_find before these requests and supply some expected returned data to search for.

Error in deploying Visual Composer model

Hi experts.
We recently got problems with deploying our visual composer applications. It has worked well before. The compilation excecutes perfectly, but when the deployment starts I get the error:
"Error in executing a process for Flex compilation, Resource temporarily unavailable"

    I have issue in deploying model in Visual Composer.I am able to compile the model successfully.

Hi Rajesh,
I had the same problem 2 months ago. Apply note 886209 (in the <compiler> element, find the <headless-server> parameter, and change it's value to true.Around line #146) and Deploy in VC must work.

Problem in mapping sap bw server with Visual composer

I tried to create a module.. but the sap bw server is not mapping with visual composer. is any need to have special authorization for that.. if any please mention the authorization and role to be given to get mapping of bw server with visual composer.

Graphic labels in Visual Composer

Hİ all,
Is there any possibility to show the labels on data series for the column or line graphics in Visual Composer?

There is no exact Solution but there is work around for this. Follow the steps -
1. Create necessary chart with fix 'Value Range' & define Min & Max Values.
2. Select Chart type & Add necessary 'Data Series' for the chart.
3. Drag one form from same data service (from which chart is created)
4. IN the form Create Expression Box & lebels as per your requirement & assign the 'Formula' for the respective field in 'Properties -> General Tab' of the expression Box.
5. Arrange th styles for the expression box & Save.
6. Arrage the form size & Expression box size so that it will look like lable.
7. Make the 'Frame Style' of the 'Form' as 'Transperent'
8. Save & Deploy the model.
THis is not exact solution so you need to arrange layout of the chart & form very carefully otherwise it will not look good.
If you are facing any issues then, let me know.

Navigation in Visual composer

I am very new to visual composer. i have two issues.
1. I have an RFC to execute in Visual composer, the Input form of RFC to be shown as a first view, once he click on submit, i need to navigate to another view which will show the result as an table.
I am able to execute the RFC , by showing the input form and table in the same page.but i need to navigate to the table view after submit.
I dont want to use the navigations like wizard,accordian or tab.....
2. My RFC Out put is a table and an export parameter of type Flag ('x' or ' ') , based on this export parameter i need to hide/display some of the table columns.

Hi,
1. For the first requirement you need to have two layers in your model.
In the first layer put your input form and in the second layer put your table view. Now connect these two layer, to connect click on the fist layer you will get a small green circle on the top of that layer click on the green circle and drag till there is a connection between two layers.
Once you have connected the layers you need to select the event for that connection, this event should be the submit. i.e. when ever you press submit in input form there will be a navigation to second layer.
2. For this you need to select the cofiguration for table view, in the table view select those field you need to hide based on the flag and set a condition in the display properties to hide that particular column.
before this you need to store the value of the flag in a form which is hidden.
