How to import of Visual Composer@browser models into Visual Composer@NWDS?

Hello,
some month ago, I started modeling a number of composite views with the browser version of the Visual Composer 7.1 SP 5. At this time, the corresonding NWDS did not provide an integrated Visual Composer.
Now, we have moved to the CE 7.1 EhP 1 SP 2. This time the NWDS provides an integrated Visual Composer. Unfortunately, the integrated Visual Composer does not display my models.
How can I import my Visual Composer models from the browser version to the NWDS version?

Hello Talia,
You can use Import/Export in order to move your models from Visual Composer@browser to Visual Composer@NWDS.
Although, I have been able to export my models from VC@browser, I have not succeeded in importing them into VC@NWDS. Can you please give me a hint how to do that?
But If you intend to add your models to DTR (Source Control repository) in the future, you should to add them to DTR in VC@browser first, import them in NWDS (using Development Infrastructure perspective) from the DTR, check out, continue modeling and check in at the end.
To this end, I have to configure the VC@browser to use the DTR, right? Can you please give me a hint how to perfom the required configuration?

Unlock a Visual Composer (VC) Model

Hi Guys & Girls,
I have a local Portal installation with VC running. I have a Model that is locked.
I want to unlock it, but the function for that provided in the Design Time does not really do anything. So...I cannot change/delete it.
Can I unlock it/delete it in the J2EE Visual Administrator somehow? I read something about that but can't remember/find the related info.

This procedure erases all changes made to the model since the last session was opened, including any changes that may have been saved.
Procedure
       1.      Log on to J2EE Engine Visual Administrator.
       2.      Navigate from the Global Configuration tree to the client-workspace folders as follows:
Services ® Configuration Adapter ® developmentserver ® client workspaces
       3.      Open the Propertysheet.properties file for the locked model. The Display configuration dialog box is displayed.
       4.      Change the value of the read-only property from true to false.
       5.      Click OK.

Show Reporting Activity values in Visual Composer

Hi everybody,
i add a Reporting Activity to my current BPM Process. My purpose is to show the report in Visual composer.
Unfortunately i don't know how to import the BPM Reporting Activity into VC?
Could anybody help me with a how-to-guide or a detailed description?

Hi Sid ,
In Visual Composer, choose Model Open... .
A list with all available models appears.
Browse the model structure and in the context menu of a model, choose Open Model.
The selected model opens for editing in the Design board.
Choose View->Task Panel -> Search to search for BPM DataSources.
The Search dialog appears.
From the Select provider dropdown menu, select BI Data Sources.
From the System destination dropdown menu, select BI (Sql) Portal.
In the Search for Table field, enter the name of the generic process or process context DataSource you want to find. You can use an asterisk (*) in the search string as a wildcard to search for a partial match. Choose the Search pushbutton.

Error while compiling model in Visual Composer 7.1.

Hi,
I am getting a error while compiling model in Visual Composer 7.1.
An exception occurred at the server while running the build process, reason: Extension with id com.sap.vc.runtimeproviders.null not found. For more details please refer to the log file.
Can any one please tell me what the error is?

This problem usually indicates the model Runtime provider is not set properly
Please goto configure pane and check the RT provider that is et for the model or any other model in the same DC
Also services usages require this property to be set accordingly
To make sure the services are set properly please look into the configuration pane when the respective service usage is selected (and check the same)

Error in deploying Visual Composer model

Hi experts.
We recently got problems with deploying our visual composer applications. It has worked well before. The compilation excecutes perfectly, but when the deployment starts I get the error:
"Error in executing a process for Flex compilation, Resource temporarily unavailable"

Thank you. But the problem was resolved after a restart of the application server. We also had some other issues after a disk crash.

Hi Rajesh,
I had the same problem 2 months ago. Apply note 886209 (in the <compiler> element, find the <headless-server> parameter, and change it's value to true.Around line #146) and Deploy in VC must work.

Not able to deploy a visual composer model

Hi All,
i am having an visual composer model which is developed and working in one portal.
And when i try to deploy the same model in another portal ( same version and patch )it is throwing some error which is mentioned in one of the <a href="https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/936390">SAP Note 936390</a>.
Branch between 7824 and 40595 around line 0 exceeds 32K span
But my question it is the problem in nesting views, then it should not even work on the portal where it has been developed.
Please let me know if there is anything to be done to make it deployed in the new portal.

Error when deploying Visual composer model in NWDS

Hello Experts,
I am trying to run Visual composer model from inside NWDS. I have included a Web Dynpro application (with a public part) in the VC model.
When the VC model is compiled, it successfuly compiles and completes, However when i try to deploy it, i get an error saying "Warning: Could not find file <file path> to copy"
Any pointers in this regard will be really useful.

Hi,
after doing deployment the model in the VC will be published in the Portal content.
You can define the path where you want to publish the Model in the Portal under portalk content in
(In VC) Tools->Options->Compiler->Deployment folder(mention the folder name in the portal content).

Save model with visual composer

hello,
when i save the model with visal composer framework, it save the model but only the model. i mean that pages, Iviews, objects, ... are not saved with the model.
i don't have any erro message that could help !

Integrate Visual Composer Model into CRM2007 web UI

Hi,
I have a requirement that executes a visual composer model inside the CRM UI. Links can be created for BI reports (3.x and 7.x) - however I am not able to call the deployed iView from the CRM UI.
One idea I had was to some how call / or embed a VC model in a web template. Hence I can link it using the normal BI - report links thus when the web template is executed it loads the deployed VC model. However this is easier sad than done...
Any one had this reqiurement before?
