Visualizer Issues

I recently installed G-Force Visualizer Platinum version 3.1.2 to work with iTunes. I have a dual screen setup and before I installed this program I was able to put the iTunes visualizer into full screen and still use the other screen normally. Now when I Show Visualizer, it automatically goes to full screen, even if the window is not maximized, and turns my second screen to black. Additionally G-Force no longer loads with iTunes.
This setup works perfectly in Windows Media Player and I would hate to have to use that.

Only thing I can think of is with the fullscreening of iTunes. If you change the itunes>preferences>general(mac) edit>preferences>advanced (Windoze) in your visualiser settings so that start visualiser full screen is unchecked then apply. Check that it has worked by using apple+T (ctrl + T in Windoze).

ITunes 8 Visualizer Issue

Whenever i use the New Visualizer on iTunes 8, it moves very laggy, and skips alot, unless i move my mouse around....as long as it's moving it's smooth and looks awesome. This occurs if i'm in regular or fullscreen mode. Any Idea's?
P.S. I have a wireless mouse/keyboard, if that help, and yes i have updated drivers for mouse, keyboard, moniter and vid card.

I have the same problem. The visualizer hangs on the same pattern/color, which makes it even more boring than having no visualizer.
I too suspect some "foul play" to get people to use the new orb and spike visualizer.

ST03 Visualization Issue - Application Server Missing

Hi Gurus.
I've a strange issue related to the Workload analysis.
When I call transaction ST03N I see in the the workload only the Central Instance.....Application Server is missing.
I've checked the SAPWLSERV table and both server are listed here.
What I'm noticing is that no entry are found in table SWNCMONI nor in SWNCMONIINDEX.
Well, it's not correct at all...I found an old entry of last february, but nothing more!
Already checked the time_zone also....everything seems to be corretly configured.
Any Ideas?

Visualizer issues in itunes 8.0.2

i just updated my itunes and suddenly there's a visualizer problem. the new visualizer and the old both show up in view > visualizer. however, only the "classic" version works. whenever i attempt to use the new one, nothing happens. at all.
help? please?

Safari 4.0.3 - Snow Leopard 10.6.1 - Top Sites visualization issue

Well guys, that's my first post here.
I made a clean installation of Snow Leopard onto my iMac.
The problem is the following :
When in Top Sites and I choose a site with many images, the "fading effect" result in a complete corruption of the image until the page isn't completely loaded. This happens only into Safari, the Desktop is ok.
The VGA is an NVIDIA 130.
Any suggestions?

Yep - I just started having this exact same problem - going form top sites to some but not all (MacRumors, MacWorld, TUAW have problem; BBC ok) sites results in grey screen with coloured vertical lines. Seems as though once on the site no more problems, and navigating site to site direct does not cause problem. I only get lines when going from topsite.
Started right after 10.6.1 update.
Been through the few suggestions I found (permissions, install, plists) but nothing seems to cure this yet.

Map visualizations in Power View

As I am currently working on building interactive reports for my client using the Power BI Tools (PowerPivot/PowerView/PowerQuery) I have stumbled upon a visualization issue.
My client is very much in awe of the powerful visualizations possible in PowerMap and the interactive reporting of Powerview. The map used in PowerView however is somewhat simple and far less exciting. Is there a way to work around the situation of the standard
PowerView map and get a better visualisation in the powerview reports? Think of integrating geocoded information such as coloured regions (which is possible in PowerMap) and not just dots/bubbles on the chart.
Can anyone provide me with answer on this issue? Or is Microsoft working on an update to integrate a larger variety of maps into PowerView?

PowerBI (powerBI.com) has some new map visualization such as Filled Map (see image below) and more are likely coming. However, I do not think it will ever really compare with Power Map.

Adobe Air3 Mobile performances,

Hi,
I've been working ona Tablet application (Android for now) on last two months and i've been through various performance issues with the 2.7 runtime,
now with the 3.0 some have been solved but alot still to be accomplished, here is the list of problems i have encountred on 2.7 and 3.0 no difference on that:
1) i'm still trying to understand why on GPU mode the Glow, blur effect have no effect on skins, used catalyst cs5.5 to accomplish the design task.
I remember to have read somewhere that those effects caused problems on mobile environment but what if its a requirement and you need it ?
Any workaround ?
2) I've been integrating the Revolt audio visualizer in my project, taking out all the visualization issua that were deigned for desktop and not for mobile, removed on enter frame listener for computations, added a less expensive timer, managed to calibrate correctly the timing to have maximum framerate but i'm still at a "decent" 13.5 fps which is good for testing, but not for production.
I would like also to understand in fact that actually i'm not getting 50% more power even packaging the application with air3. I'm having slightly better performances with the 3.0 over the 2.7, but for sure not a 50% more, now is it a problem of packager or what else.
I'm willing to try the Captive way of packaging the runtime but i'm not sure how to do it unless i can access to the Flash Builder 4.6 prerelease program.
Does anyone have performance info on the Air 3, or performance tips ?

One thing to note is that AIR 3 on Android has gone up to 32-bit color (well, 24-bit plus alpha). You can go back to 16-bit color by adding <colorDepth>16bit</colorDepth> to the <android> element in the app descriptor. You should try it and see if it helps.

I've tried to install a downloaded version of cs5 master collection using the same serial number i used by installing it with the installation dvds and the error message says it's an invalid serial number

as my adobe cs 5 master collections keeps having icc profiles and visualization issues, i've tried to reinstall the hole package. my mac book pro dvd reader is broken, so i downloaded from the adobe website a master collection and tried to install it with the serial number i used in the former installation but a error messages says that it's an invalid serial number.
i've already tried to install from the dvd's in another mac and it worked, with the same serial number, so i'm out of solutions.
any thoughts that may help me?

Respecto a la instalación, repito la lección de ruta es un paso, que puede pasarse por alto, aunque no sé si la instalación convencional reconoce una red entre varios equipos.
No hay ningun mensaje que indique que descargas una versión u otra, tampoco hay o sale ningun mensaje cuando instalas un programa en chino, eso si, al introducir el no. de serie (que no es el adquirido para la versión en chino) te dice que no es válido y punto. No más explicaciones.
Asi que por favor explicanos lo preguntado al rincipio, o vuleve a descargar la versión correcta, en el idioma correcto y desde un lugar oficial de Adobe.
Creo que Adobe te puede facilitar esa descarga a traves de la web "Licensing" con unas claves que te facilitarán si logras ponerte en contacto directo con ellos en tu país, (que tampoco sabemos cúal es). Suerte.

Then you should check the graph. cause it might be only a visualization issue.

Internet Explorer Issues (Visualization problems on 8, 9

Please i need some help
Everything works as it should in Chrome, Firefox and Safari. But with Internet Explorer 8, 9 or even 10 it is making a right mess off the pages. For some reason text columns appears over images, some png's are missing & and other images are cut in half. Why is this happening and is there a fix? I would really like some help from the Muse staff on this.

Will Apple ever fix the 12/31/200 date RSS Visualizer Screen Saver issue?

I realize Apple may think the rest of the world (ex. CNN, Digg, etc..) needs to change their RSS feeds, but why not fix the RSS screensaver so that it doesn't default to December 31, 2000 and show only 4 news stories for most feeds? Even most of Apples RSS feeds don't comply. And this is by design?

Better is to send bug reports and enhancement requests to Apple via its Bug Reporter system. To do the latter, join the Apple Developer Connection (ADC)—it's free and available for all Mac users and gets you a look at some development software. Since you already have an Apple username/ID, use that. Once a member, go to Apple BugReporter and file your bug report/enhancement request. The nice thing with this procedure over submitting feedback is that you get a response and a follow-up number; thus, starting a dialog with engineering.

Visualizer 'Jelly' issue

When 'Display visualizer full screen' is checked in Preferences/Advanced, and Jelly is selected, and I use the short cut cmd+T to show the visualizer, I get a black screen, while others work fine. Does the same happen to anyone else?

Do you know who the developer is for the "Jelly" vizualizer? I couldn't find it.
I did however find a helpful article that says it should work if you open up iTunes in 32-bit mode:

I did that and it seems to work, although it freezes up a lot. I'm not sure why...
I guess this is an okay work around until a 64 bit version is made (crosses fingers).

Issues with sessionId and persistent cookie in WL6.1

          I am using WL6.1 and I discovered the following from a brief experiment using a
          JSP which sets persistent cookies. The results are the same when I use IE browser
          or the HDML emulator.
          The name of the weblogic session cookie (weblogic.xml) is "_ses".
          Steps below. The server logs are included:
          1. Delete the persistent cookies relevant to the server.
          2. Access the jsp. SessionId is generated, say 12345.
          3. Close browser. My_Cookie1=blah is saved on client.
          4. Access server again. The cookie My_Cookie1=blah sent
          5. The server sets the SessionId to Cookie1=blah. The sessionId is set from the
          persistent cookie. Also, the String after the first underscore is the sessionId.
          When I change the name of the weblogic session cookie (weblogic.xml) to something
          without an underscore, such as "JSESSIONID" or "someCookieName", and repeat the
          steps, the sessionId is not attempted to be read from the persistent cookie.
          Why is this so?

Issue 1 is a know "feature" with Macs using an optical output.
Issue 2 is still unresolved. Why can't Front Row act as a video jukebox just as well as it can for audio.
Issue 3 is still unresolved. If I select a libray that has both audio and video files, Front Row will only play the audio and not the video. Seems like it should be smart enough to "switch" to play that video.
Issue 4 seems to be resolved. I run visualizer all the time now and my TV does not switch out of 1080i any more.
Issue 5 seems to be resolved. I think the trick is that the TV show name has to be filled in for the system to recognize it as a TV show. Guess Apple didn't orginally figure people would add TV shows not purchsed through the iTunes store.
Issue 6 was realted to using files that are copy protected. But why iTunes XML file can't just keep the name that I want in it's directory rather than the name that is embedded in the file is still a mystery to me.

Another Mavericks Random Restart issue...

I've seen lots of discussions about these issues, but nothing definitive that will simply fix our problems. For the last month I've been trying the various suggestions offered on these forums: turning off the Energy Saver stuff, auto logging in, etc, but still having intermittent random restart issues.
I called Apple this morning and went through these trouble shooting steps with their tech:
1) Reboot to Recovery Mode (cmd-r)
2) Disk First Aid to repair (success)
3) Disk First Aid to Verify Disk (no trouble found. Verified)
30 minutes after hanging up the phone, BAM. Random restart again. Seems like I'm always pressing a keyboard key or mouse clicking when this happens. No matter if it's the trackpad, the wireless Apple Mouse, a USB mouse, the built in keyboard, or my external Matias keyboard.
My next step is to appeal to the gear heads here for any assistance they can offer. Thanks in advance for any input you can provide. Here's my EtreCheck report and latest panic report:

If my macbook's memory pressure goes red with just Safari and Word open, is it just a memory issue?

I'd really appreciate any input on this issue. I'm not especially expert with regard to computer systems and software, so I ask that you please bear with me; I'll try to provide the best information I can. What has been happening with my computer is that it has been freezing and crashing, even with only Safari and Microsoft Word open. More information about the system as well as what I've done so far is below.
I have a mid-2012 13-inch Macbook Pro with a 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory (two 2 GB cards), and an Intel HD Graphics 4000 card. I am running I have approximately 280 gigs free on my 500 GB Apple HDD. I am running OS X 10.9.3 (13D65), Kernel version Darwin 13.2.0.
In March or April of this year, my computer started seriously slowing down and freezing and crashing. (I think that this was around the time I upgraded to Mavericks, but am not 100% positive.) Since it is my only computer and I'm a PhD student, it took me until May to seriously address the issue. I ran Apple hardware diagnostics and the disk utility (verified the disk; verified & repaired the permissions), and tried uninstalling programs I thought might be causing issues, but nothing improved. Since it didn't appear to be a hardware issue, I decided to do a clean install of Mavericks with a full software update [and didn't use a time machine backup like I'd done in the past; I only backed up files and bookmarks this time and installed new versions of all my programs]. Although my computer ran better for a few weeks, it started slowing down again, and lately has been crashing on a near-daily basis.
After reading through the fora, I re-ran disk utility (disks check out fine; one permission -- for Safari -- seems to refuse to be repaired), re-ran Apple Hardware test twice (no issues found), and have been running the Activity Monitor [I put it in my dock with the bars showing CPU usage]. Today, when my computer started seriously slowing while I had only two programs open (Safari & Microsoft Word), the Activity Monitor icon on the dock showed all four bars at max.

So, this suggests to me that either (a) I have insufficient RAM to run Mavericks and run basic computer programs, or (b) there is some other issue.
Do you all have any recommendations as to the best way to proceed? I don't have a lot of cash, so I can't really spend money unless it is really warranted. Would it be worth running OnyX first? Or is this a pretty clear indication that I need new RAM? Alternately, are there any other issues that seem likely (an undetected hard drive problem, etc.)?

Thank you. Although it is possible something was running in the background, in Force Quit, the only applications visible were Finder, Microsoft Word, and Safari.
